Well, actually with the Venthyr's the blade dance come to the top too with the conduit 😉
I had to part way with blade tempest 😦
3d printing eternal ones,

Yeah, because power levels are so consistent that beings as powerful as the fucking Titans can be easily printed as such. Next expansion please.
Mmh gay
Unfit for the channel. #no-wow-discussion
The new wolf model also has a new skeleton! nice
The "spaceship" too btw, thought i'll be like the mechagone one, but no
Well in fact, a lot a new mounts have a new skeleton
So nice !
New wolf model?
Yeah this one. The /mountspecial is new
Curious.
Im p sure you can have a different mount special without changing the skeleton
Right now, we have new /mountspecial for : jelly, wolf, Mawdapted Raptora, snail (obviously ^^), "bee", and "spaceship"
The running animation seems different too
lmao
Quite literally Deus ex machina
Gods from a machine
Shall we engineer the gods, fellow Blizzard developer?
Damn, it appears that the Pantheon encounter will have 4 bosses to tank in the final phase
as usual.. .two bosses doing shit, two dealing damages
and the last phase will be magic and physical so some will probably be mitigable
Still no wings customizations for DH 😦
You don't need to tell me as I am a gay warlock player
Gamer
Mythic jailor mount?
wtf
There seemed to be some odd multipart mount
😂
" ok your new mount is shoulderpiece of a 3d printed god , with reactors "
Theory is we build it over time
My brain
That was destroyed by Illidan
Maybe it's another kind of Dark Portal, as to explain how it ties to WAR III 😏
Nah, Wai meant Homeworld
Nathreza was destroyed by Illidan and his Demon Hunters
They probably made another homeworld somewhere
That'd be contrived af
well , they destroyed countless worlds... They probably did occupied another one and place themselves there
looks like optional crafting reagents (not ilvl ones) might be back
there's 8 of them, 2 crafted with the new zerith mortis mats by engineering/alchemy/enchanting/jewelcrafting
there's an ilvl one too, sets it to 262
It’s still there tho, just in ruins a bit like Outland I thought, I mean we see a portal to nathreza pop up in antorus during the portal keeper fight
Omw gear with cool effects
Yay
they were gonna have it at launch but decided not to at some point in beta
Glad they agreed on the warlock helm shape. If it was ICC colors it would have been less of an issue
Lmao.
I mean yeH after looking at it
Remember that time Blizz accidentally made a helm that looked a bit kkk and then went, "Oh shit that's a mistake yeah we are DEFFO removing that, we don't want no kkk hood obviously" and people said it was cancel culture they changed the kkk hood?

offtopic but this is gorgeous
Some people want to pretend that things can't evoke negative associations or feel that calling things racist in the modern day might hit too close to home to them.
Kek
Can't have people seeing racism as an ongoing issue. Nope nope.
But that's now off topic since helm is being changed.
Wonder if they'll change the ICC helm that inspired it too
Wynter why are you like hating on facts?
Oh my sweet summer child
I thought their dog ate it?
XD
Honestly the Warlock set was arguably the absolute worst set of the lot imo
And the helmet definitely wasn’t helping - for the obvious similarities to real life hate groups, and the fact that it just looked stupid
It defo looks like a kkk hood
The colour of it is a big factor tho
As theres a purple hood like that in game already
From one of the earlier expansion
Are they in the database? I couldn’t find any NPCs
They are- lemme get a link

So, apparently Azeroth was the first titan and her song was meant to Awaken the others
what song o.o
It's possible that Azeroth song is the balance of the cosmos, the harmony seeked by the First Ones
Her dream/voice is like a song, Magni told us
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/804763881351282748/911272238290984960/4287230.ogg
" their songs flows through me "
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/804763881351282748/911272238446178304/4287228.ogg
" The Design must endure "
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/804763881351282748/911272238714593330/4287227.ogg
" You will banish the silence "
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/804763881351282748/911272238878175263/4287236.ogg
" Mortis, Ordos, Lumen, Rythm, and Structure "
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/804763881351282748/911272239045959710/4287235.ogg
" Her dream sings beneath the surface, quiet now,but her voice will awaken the others "
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/804763881351282748/911272239205351494/4287234.ogg
" Six voices in discord, without Harmony, the Anthem will be ended "
So this is more "azeroth is just our version of azathoth" evidence
Yes...
Mortis => Death
Ordos => Order ( ? )
Lumen => Light
Rythm => Void ( whispers, chorus ? )
Structure => Life ( ? )
Going with it, all those " elements " mixed together make Harmony
Maybe Azeroth is what is making the Harmony and the balance of the cosmos, probably creating reality
So if you kill Azeroth, you destroy reality, the Harmony cease, and everything go back into chaos
On another thought, I dont know how disorder and the twisting nether can play a role in the harmony
Ordo (Latin "order, rank, class") may refer to: A musical phrase constructed from one or more statements of a rhythmic mode pattern and ending in a rest.
Friction and vacuum to keep the engine running
What funny now, if all of that is true, is that we are the Children of Azeroth, the Children of Harmony, and we are fixing the imbalance in the cosmos , slowly, but surely
We could be the emissary of harmony, the notes sent into the cosmos to regulate and restore balance ( yeah that's odd but when you look at the big picture it's kinda like this )
The dream of Azeroth prints reality !
who is speaking this lines? The voice sounds familiar...ysera?
sounds really ...lame..if you ask me XD i mean...from "A powerfull titan" to...litteraly the order of harmony..balance..in the entire cosmos..uff
Thrall, baine, Calia, Voss, Lor'Themar, Lady Moonberry, Vereesa, Taelia, Genn, Jaina, Maiev, Tyrande, Sylvanas, Shandris, Anduin, Prinz Renethal.
But what does it mean if a character is more then once listened..compared to the other ones who are only one time in the list? @tulip sun
and who the hell is Trellar Snowglove??
Dunno, maybe, or it's the WQ's prototype
the 3d printer is literally the first ones' factory
my theory is that there might be more than we think going on with that factory
The Wasp Mount, while beeing terrifying, looks pretty damn cool lol
Raid flythru exploration video up:
The Sepulcher of the First Ones is a raid added in 9.2, located in Zereth Mortis. Enjoy!
The music is not from the raid.
you missed her other line, Mortis, Ordos, and Lumen are three of them, but the english words are descriptions
here's the other three
Vitae, Umbra, and one I cant make out
@uncut vault Tumult?
Sounds like it, yeah
That means they probably appear more than once.
this fight is meant to be about all 6 forces I guess
So what do you guys think? Will the Sylvanas novel release right before the 9.2 patch or after ?
"Cypher content will award currency with no weekly caps" This has to be the most important line from the interview
also no power progression tied to it either
They -really- are changing philosophy for 9.2 and I am so excited for what 10.0 will be with these new philosophies
It is starting to feel like they're actually learning their lesson and have had a large shift
im really hoping for flying at launch in 9.2 so we can get much bigger zones
because gosh, it was okay in legion, bad in BFA, and then just terrible in SL
"Rerolling items in the vault has been brought up in discussions, but no plans on that end yet." yes pls
dafuqs is that leak, I hope it's not true at all
but if it is, it explains many things, but its soooo dumb
Sorry but what leak?
Yeah, posting context would be nice
Context please
You wanna know? 😄
ok. Prepare to cry :
While it's doubtful it explains many things...
Why Elune did not let Tyrande kills Sylvanas for example...
Makes absolutely zero sense at all
so its not a leak but a theory
But how would they know?
A GAME THEORY!
Hahah right sounds more like a theory
I'll see myself out
Where did you get those audio files tho?
The ones talking about the 6 cosmic forces
is this a spoiler or...a theory?
It's a supposed leak, nothing confirmed
Besides isn't the soul of arthas inside shalamourne?
The fight with Anduin would suggest so
Yes but his body ? Its like Sylvanas, she got a body but her soul was in a crystal. We've seen the part in the crystal , but the body ? ( who was physically thrown inside the maw... )we didnt
I dont think the body was physically thrown into the maw I think the scene w uther and devos was supposed to represent his soul and he wasn't killed by frostmourne so his soul shouldn't have been shattered
:0
true. but then, like uther, he got two part of himself in the SL
If we considers that taking frostmourne rended his soul and the jailer got it
Did they nor say you could fly in Zereth Mortis? Or is that mem misremembering?
sounds like...elunes voice...
You will be able to fly but it's timegated
It isn't, it's an Automa named the Oracle
Besides in the datamine one of the stages during zovaals fight is him launching anima missiles at azeroth idk if it means the soul or the planet itself
possible when he was alive, that his soul was splitted. When he died the other part of his soul went to the maw (where his splitted soul would also be , with the jailer) . The reason why Sylvanas and Uther had a their soul plitted is because:
Uthers other soul was send to the shadowlands thanks to the light
Sylvanas was ressurected/turned with necro magic into a banshee, so a part of her soul was binded while the other part was sent to the maw
Better than nothing. 9.1 wasn't so bad
maybe the same voiceactor? Its sounds so..identical
what makes Arthas soul now complete most likely be in the soul shard
We'll see. If we consider that he didn't follow the proper " afterlife procedure " maybe it's not the same
I do hope they do all the big characters good
Not one cheap moment I pray
I am notngoing into.this patch a pessimist.
Despite my best knowledge &&"
Do you know how much these "leaks" get spread around on 4chan? The wow threads are basically troll content and they're all just rehashed versions of the same nonsense over and over again. It's about as reliable of a source as Weekly World News
It's fun nontheless, and if it is, by pure chance, true , I'd laugh my ass off
You know, that tabloid where you see the headlines like "Woman Finds Out Husband Was Bigfoot's Antlantian Cousin"

thats fake btw
A
Danuser would make Sylvanas MOTHER OF ALL to forever simp
Less impressed with the recolors than I thought I would be. Oh well the original color pallet for the set still looks good
That's not so much the original as the one Stiven picked.
The mythic set is probably the light gold ones.
Yeah I guess original is a bad word but announcement colors
I hope LFR is the blue and red one lol
Keep in mind that two of them are likely also PvP colors
I’m gonna bet the silver and red is horde and the gold with the blueish purple is the alliance variant
Unless they just give both factions the same colors
Hmm true. Maybe there’s more colors we haven’t seen yet idk. Isn’t it normally 4 PvE sets then two PvP sets?
This last tier weren't normal and heroic the same? I can't remember
Nope
Could have sworn there was only 3 PvE tints this time around
You'd be wrong
Introduce tinting system
And just have two versions drop. The regular one and the mythic one
I can tint any armour multiple colours in ESO
As i said before
"Can they do it" yes
"Is it a huge undertaking" also yes
Yes
They're a big company and they need to rework core systems
It's hard yes
Expensive
But worthwhile
They need more 'special projects' teams imo
The way they do it in FF(since you mentioned eso) is that you drop the non-tintable/non dyable version in normal raid,and the dyable version in the harder raid
That's fine
I'd argue the better version shouldn't be mythicnonly tho. Maybe quicker to get in mythic
But should be grindable way of getting the tintallble version too
I highly doubt they're thinking about core systems right now.
They dont really inspire much confidence at the moment
Oh I agree and tbh it's a problem In lots of big companies (i do transformation, change manegement and infrastructure reworks)
Agile is cancer
Only can see two steps in front of you
I hear a lot of bad things about agile but a lot of places use it
Yes but even then ask each of those companies how they do agile and it's probably different across all of them
It's a bit of a cargo cult tbh. Made to create consultancy jobs for the most part :p
Of course you should BE agile, philosophically, but the methodology is cack
Companies need to adopt systemic and adaptive change capabilities that enable them to prioritise based on near, medium and long term value, not just short term
So to pay ppl just to tell you what sometimes is obvious
Yes
Sounds corporate alright
In fancy words
Consultants are always looking for the latest methodology
As the 'savior'
Most of it just iterative waterfall
"Everything on the short term"
Is how shareholders focused companies work,
So makes sense
Not all
Amazon for example
Has 5 year investment periods. Invest now, see profits in 5 years
Well amazon was not profitable for the longest time, so it didnt make sense to have short term structure
That's why they have frigging delivery drones and blizz struggles with tinting
The most innovative companies forge short term profits but it's super hard to convince shareholders
You need a vision and to show you can execute on that vision
Hard
It took me 3 years to raise financing
Then I might have some sort of colorblindness. Could have sworn either lfr and normal shared a tint or normal and heroic haha.
Nope. Each difficulty has its own color scheme
Woot mouseover defaults!
I don't wanna set up mouse over macros personally so yay for me 😛
its literally a 1 line macro but ok
It'll save up so much space in my saved macros
Sooo many are just mouseover macros
I can also see this doing wonders for improving the overall quality and performance of the average casual healer
A one line macro that needs to be reapeated for every point and click spell on a character, or targetting spell for healers
l
lmao nah
AKA, my sorry ass
Eh, I actually found click macros more disruptive than other things I do. I never used clique myself. Tried and made my performance plummet
Bobby Kotick Will Consider Stepping Down if He Can't Fix Problems at Activision Blizzard
A few more steps bobby
i mean...so like he's gonna step down tomorrow? lol
Lmao
He should follow Jen Oneal's method of fixing Blizzard: Removing himself!
Factual
Nintendo of America Distressed and Disturbed by Developments at Activision Blizzard
Surely this can't be good
When you have Bowser thinking you're worse than he is. And he's a villain!
lol
Not sure if anyone read the article but they didn't actually call out Kotick or condemn anyone. Those tweets and headlines are misleading.
The email was addressed to their own employees (not to the press or to Activision) and were just saying that the Activision reports were 'concerning' and that they were committing to making Nintendo a safer place too.
Which is fair enough.
they did take some action about them though apparently, through the common group they share
Though without detail, Bowser also says representatives at Nintendo have been “in contact with Activision, have taken action and are assessing others.” It is not entirely clear what actions Bowser is referring to here or which ones they are still leaving on the table.
Bobby, being supported and rich as he is, if the big name of the industry looks badly at you, you gotta do something quick because you'll have a very bad reputation that will hinder every trade agreement or even deny you some on the long term
Yeah, though "in contact with Activision" is something incredibly vague unfortunately.
I wonder if we’re going to find out what was that red thing that broke the Arbiter. It’s been a year since that cinematic. Hopefully it gets answered in the patch. My guess is that it’s connected to the Sword. Argus was also a good option, but then again… I don’t know.
I think we’ve had discussions over this a few times. The general idea I’ve seen is that the red thing is Remornia
Since the accuser says Denathrius was behind the drought
I m still totally not sold on this.
Mainly because that the Dev said it was an event during Legion that broke the Arbiter
I’m not either but it’s the most likely scenario. Just not delivered properly like most things this expansion. Important story details just casually mentioned and never brought up again
They said it just happened during the legion timeframe. Not that something in legion causes it
Giving us a timeframe for this is kinda giving us a hint, if it was denathrius, wathever timing wouldnt matter
But well, not like the story was told in a proper way since a few years anyways
Dreadlords being the cause of it sound much better rather than Denathrius directly
Nope. They said it happened sometime during Legion, not that it was something in Legion that caused it
It is stated quite clearly at the end of the 9.0 Revendreth campaign that it was Denathrius. That red thing was a Venthyr anima spell.
This is how complex some people need their plot points: https://youtu.be/0fzcA3RSVTQ
Quick mysteries from s01e08 "Rixty Minutes" of Rick and Morty.
XDDDDDD
Wait.. really?
Yup
I'm trying to find that information
You find clues throughout the Revendreth leveling zone story and it culminates in him taking responsibility for it
Like, it's a pretty big climactic reveal. I don't know how someone misses it unless they're not reading quests or not listening to dialog or generally just questing through stuff on autopilot or skipping scenes
Weird, nobody on google is directly saying that. Even in new 2021 posts, ppl keep discussing it
That's because people refuse to accept the obvious
Idk it's kind of an obvious plot point
wowpedia also has nothing about that
What bothers me is that Renathal thought Denathrius can be redeemed, and that's why he kept him under surveillance.
Like it's not a "Denathrius killed Colonal Mustard in the drawing room with the candlestick" reveal but it's obvious that he's responsible for and then takes responsibility for the Arbiter being disabled
Renathal should have just locked Denathrius in the deepest part of Sinfall.
You can always do the Revendreth leveling questing again, ofc
And even repeat it thanks to Level Sync.
I did revendreth story, but I'm sure it was just about him stealing anima and causing the draught
not a direct cause of arbiter's shutdown
Denathrius caused the draught.
He caused the drought by disabling the Arbiter
He basically hoarded all Anima and then sent it to the Maw at the end of the Revendreth story.
Not that I don’t believe Denathrius did it but people can take claim for things and have no real proof. And Daddy D strikes me as the type of person who would gladly take the blame for something like that
The Arbiter being disabled is the direct cause of the drought. No new souls getting funneled to the proper places, no new anima, thus an anima drought
Denathrius was a perfect villain, if you ask me. Charming, cool, menacing and with an actual personality. Kudos to his design and voice actor, totally killed it.
Disabling the Arbiter was the mechanism that initiated the anima drought
Disabling the Arbiter also caused Kyrians to stop ferrying souls, since they would go straight to the Maw. Kyrestia should have known this, yet let the Mawsworn do their thing.
It's a little plothole, poorly explained in a Kyrian campaign quest, where we go to Redridge.
But, to me it just sounds like a perfect opportunity for denathrius to steal anima while the arbiter is broken. I'm having a hard time to believe it was actually him since I can't find a proof on google that it's confirmed.
I mean, wasn’t he essentially storing anima before the event that cause the drought. So he stored up power then attacked the arbiter and then cause a shut down for all of shadowlands not just the areas he controlled
The other theory is that Argus' soul is what disabled the Arbiter. Is that more believable?
The Arbiter being disabled caused the drought and Denathrius claims responsibility for causing the drought, how is it so difficult to associate this
Because it seems like you're the only person who claims it's confirmed at this point while other (& "known") people still don't know including myself.

Also, imagine if Sylvanas never broke the veil. Would Shadowlands have gone on behind the scenes?
Yeah okay buddy pull that card
huh?
I mean I guess we will truly never know unless Blizz spells it out for us so go on with your bad self
I'm not trying to be negative or something, I am just surprised that I feel like I'm dumb because there is an obvious "situation" while multiple players are still discussing what caused Arbiter to shut down and are not including Denathrius being responsible for that.
Could be Argus' soul. Could be Mueh'zala.
Could be Hogger
If there was a confirmation that he did it, then it would be all over fansites written. Call it a theory, not a confirmation.
Denathrius is just the most believable.
Of course, that's why I said I hope we get an answer in 9.2 😛
If the Spirit Bomb weren't red, people wouldn't think Denathrius did it.
I mean there’s nothing wrong with having theories
TBH, I only see this " confirmation " on this discord. The others one where I discuss this, it's still a "pending mystery"
How can you play through the Revendreth leveling zone story and not come out realizing that Denathrius caused the drought to assist the Jailer with his plans
Well, same here
I came out of Revendreth feeling satisfied boredom, lol.
He assisted by storing anima to help the Maw and took that opportunity after Arbiter broke
I liked that I had to do Torghast during a leveling quest, that was pretty awesome at the time.
I'm still rooting for Denathrius being the indirect culprist by sending his dreadlords gathering enough stuff to deactivate the Arbiter from an specific event. IE : I'm rooting for the Nighthold ritual, with Tichondrius as overseer ( and he is the Leader of the dreadlords ), using this ritual to redirect latent energy ( the big red portal ) on the arbiter
I feel like that's too much theorizing invested in the wrong direction
Dreadlords will keep being a threat even without the Jailer, Denathrius or the Legion.
Conveniently, it was the starting point that triggered a chain of Event with the Azerite and Aman'thul essence
( see the legendary questLine of Legion )
The key to another cosmic expansion is the Light Dreadlord, Lothraxion. He may manipulate Turalyon and we finally get an Alliance drama storyline.
The Horde had enough civil wars. Alliance civil wars time.
God you never contribute anything to a conversation
Thanks.
When Arcanomancer Vridiel was brought the [Cursed Shard] - an unnatural metallic shard that shifted from color to color, and that swelled in size before melting away at one's touch, with its droplets hitting the ground with a hiss and giving out a noxious stench - he cursed Illidan. The appearance of Argus over Azeroth accelerated the reaction triggered by the Nightwell's collapse, and Vridiel believed that the Legion's actions on Argus were further destabilizing the powers that people drew upon unknowingly for many years. The changes the substance had undergone since the Vindicaar departed for Argus were also alarming. The reaction's intensity was accelerating by the day, and Vridiel feared they may win the fight against the Legion only to lose something very dear to them.
Cursed Shard - https://ptr.wowhead.com/item=154880/cursed-shard - PTR 9.2.0
Is this a portent of some greater upheaval to come? What fate awaits our world, <name>?``` That's his line btw
Seems a bit too read into. A lot of that is more atmospheric ruminating on circumstances. It's your typical "we may win now, but will we win the war?" dialog you see in most high-stakes situations
possible, but add to the dreadlord presence X Gul'dan X red portal a very powerful artifact coming from the Shadowlands on Gul'dan staff... There may be something
Not everything has to be an easter egg hunt and theories
No, but that doesnt stop anyone to theorycraft 🙂 Up until now, we don't have any direct confirmation about what hit the arbiter
We don't know the how or what, but we have the who and why
I think it might have been either Denathrius or Mueh'zala. But even if it were Argus, that would seem random.
Denathrius makes the most sense.
Argus seems random, but why was he called Titan of Death anyway?
One thing we know is that Blizzard is not subtle. If the Accuser doesn't say " you have disabled the arbiter, how did you manage this ? " to Denathrius, it's not a confirmation and he's not responsible
If he was, it'd ve been written
Red energy - check
Comes from the direction of Revendreth - check.
'Comes from the direction of Revendreth - check. ' Really ? xD
We don't always need to know the how. Some things are a mystery. Even Bolvar says not to trust our perceptions and understandings in the Shadowlands, as it's a realm not meant for mortals and can be beyond comprehension. Keep a little mystery on certain things like how someone did what VS why they did it
Watch the cinematic.
It would be super boring if it was revendreth/denathrius honestly.
But what else could it be? Argus? because his mythic phase is red? Even though his world soul is canonically blue?
There are a lot of candidates.
For me it come from the right side of the arbiter, Revendreth is on the left side
Seeing as how SL is mostly a self-contained story I'm just going to say its Denathrius because that's the most likely
It'd be really strange for them to go back to some obscure moment to explain everything
Yeah? Positioning and camera shots are a thing.
How? What's not good about the Sire of the Nathrezim and an individual who is supposed to be responsible for an aspect of the afterlife turn against his post for pride and power and causing an anima drought to destabilize the other realms?
What's important isn't how he disabled the Arbiter. What's important is why he disabled the Arbiter, and he takes that responsibility when he claims to have caused the drought. The drought was caused by the Arbiter being disabled
You're focusing too much on the ball and not the pitcher
I'm just sad that Zovaal chooses to dismiss the rescue of Denathrius when Sylvanas brings it up and the Dreadlords still keep working for him.
"Every soul has its purpose."
Well, yours is to be a punching bag to the players. Idiot.
Im done for today
He dismisses Denathrius' death. Not his rescue.
Zovaal was already in Zereth Mortis when Denathrius got rescued
And he seemingly still has the Dreadlords on his side since Malganis is in the Sepulcher
Still doesn't excuse Dreadlords not feeling betrayed by him. "Yeah, he doesn't care about our creator. But he surely cares about us!"
More stuff that leads me to believe Denathrius is being kept around as a regular Azshara-tier antagonist, and tbh I'm all for it
I agree 100% with this
I mean, they admitted that there was so much potential with Denathrius and they didn't want to waste him for one raid
So they rewrote the ending of the raid
Speaking of, Mal'Ganis is in the new raid, but Denathrius isn't. Maybe he's being left out for the next expansion.
speculators conjuring insane theories on what broke the arbiter
blizzard scratching its back
"It was denathrius btw"
Especially when you involve dreadlord shenanigans, he can be a rather popular reoccurring villain
I expected to see Tichondrius, who's the leader of the dreadlord. If there is only Mal'ganis it's just to close the Arthas chapter
Which means we'll see dreadlords heavily on another xpack
Which one did we kill in Antorus, again?
It just REALLY sucks that Denathrius arguably got more screen time than the main freaking villain
Varimathras
Not necessarily, and that's a setup for disappointment with that kind of assumption
Oh, right. The one nobody cares about.
Its just logic. If Denathrius AND the leader of the dreadlords in the Legion aren't there, its because they'll be featured again
Thats not a big logic leap,
Have you seen sylvanas's relationship with the jailer?
I could definitely see them making a sort of revived Legion again led by Denathrius. Kinda like the Banished to the Covenant in Halo.
They can be kept around but they don't have to be a full-on feature. There are reasons why I say he'd make a good Azshara-tier antagonist
I'm expecting Denathrius to resurrect, give orders to Lothraxion with a hologram, and that starts a new expansion.
They didnt say potential
They said "the players liked him a lot,so we didnt kill him"
I still don't think Denathrius was the one who broke Arbiter 😛
I'm not sure Lothraxxion is a traitor to the light
Sure he is.
Mainly because they already uncovered a traitor and that was one of the reason to invade Revendreth, I dont see them sticking another dreadlords on their side, if he's not loyal
The Arbiter breaking caused the drought. Denathrius claimed responsibility for the drought. Denathrius caused the drought, therefor Denathrius is responsible for disabling the Arbiter
Because the jailer is a cardboard cutout character atm
It's from the book talking about dreadlord plans throughout the cosmos. They discuss heavily an agent they have within the Light
Ofc the Light =/= Army of the Light, so
Look at the powers dreadlords have already mastered. Anima of Revendreth, Fel, Shadow magic, Light, and they all work for Zovaal.
do you still think the best way to not lose stygia is to not die in the maw?
Yes and apparently that agent was uncovered and triggered an attack on Revendreth ^^
But he's got so much potential for being a badass and at every opportunity they just... dont do anything. Even in 9.2, we're not going to see him at all since he's already in the Sepulcher.
The dude spends more time just waiting for us to get to him than pursuing us
Absolutely. If you don't die in the Maw, you don't lose your stygia. That's not complicated
I am not in any way surprised,thats blizzard writing for you
Well didn't they say they wanted to make him kinda like Arthas and all in your face?
But then they screw up the execution so much and it makes me really sad lol
Arthas had a ton of setup both in warcraft 3 and even in the expansion itself
Denathrius just has a main villain charm to him. I like his personality, and he's pretty much the only character in Shadowlands to have personality.
Had multiple dungeons where he was a threat
The dude looks freaking awesome, has some sick moments (like the Sylvanas arrow catch), but then nothing else. I kind of wish they don't kill him this expac and make him lead us into the next expansion where we then defeat him after giving him some story
But fat chance of that
😆
In the Renathal vs Denathrius cinematic, Denathrius completely steals the show. Pure, unfiltered badassness.
A lot of people are really sad for the game for so many reason,i wouldnt even be able to list all of them
What? Not dying is good strategy. If you can't beat something, either don't fight it to begin with or run away
The sylvanas arrow catch moment was cool in itself,but it only happened because sylvanas is suddenly a complete idiot just because the writers said so
Or play a rogue. Vanish OP.
Regardless of "her character"
Was just checking something. Have a good night!
True. But I'm just saying, the guy has ability to be an "intimidating" character. Like real final boss material
You need to check your attitude at the door
They're trying to give Sylvanas agency as a changed person and it doesn't work.
yes it does
"Hey guys! I'm on your side again!"
"Strip off your armor and don't fight in the raid."
"But..."
"DO IT!"
boohooo I don't like Sylvanas trying to change herself and become a better person"
Oh my god, if you could miss the actual point of conversation any further you'd be getting to another galaxy
It came out of nowhere. Sylvanas had no doubts until she suddenly got the heat for Anduin.
🤦♂️
I mean we don't know that she's trying to be a better person. All we know right know is that she's a prisoner in custody
And that she shows up in Sepulcher. With no armor or weapons. You'd think a ranger general with decades of mastery in archery would be useful in combat. Nah, let her punch stuff.
there is a datamined text where Sylvanas says she wants to save anduin and where jaina yells at her that she doesnt trust her
good. if they really want to redeem her make the characters in-game act just like how we would.
My attitude? You aren't giving me proof that Denathrius did it, telling me to replay the Revendreth storyline (making it seem like I'm dumb) while there is no confirmation or actual mention of Denathrius breaking the arbiter, just storing anima.
And can you blame Jaina?
At no point did I call you dumb or question your capabilities. I'd respectfully ask that you not project onto what I'm saying
I wasnt talking to you but to bad apple, and I didnt miss any points since bad apple posts this kind of stuff since weeks how he is pissed about sylvys chat devlop.
Sylvanas before Shadowlands:
Pro genocide
Bullies the weak
Resurrects her own troops as skeletons when running out of men.
We wouldn't be discussing much if you just called it your theory
no? because its true and this is how she should react
Sylvanas in Shadowlands:
NOOO MY LITTLE LION ;(
bro they really need to stop with "the little lion" crap it's so weird lmao
only because sylvanas understands her wrongs now with her soul intact, doesnt mean everyone should immediately forgive her
or trust her
thats why I like what I haw seen yet
But we haven't seen her with her soul intact yet.
I just can't look at bad apple's posts anymore. They make me incredibly uncomfortable and they rarely stick to the subject of the conversation
We just got glimpses of doubt and they all seemed genuine. But she is still horrible.
I definitely, at this point, would like Sylvanas to come back. I don't want her dead, but she needs to become more of a loner character. She can stay on Azeroth but just not with us.
Go ahead with a plan to reset reality for the better half of a decade? Nah mate, just call it quits when the guy you gave freedom and power to is about to achieve his goal.
Sylvanas before shadowlands in BfA was an out of character Sylvanas, that was being forced into this role by that asshole Alex Afrasiabi.
He literally came out of nowhere and told the team "well thats what she gonna do next" and this is a fact that was confirmed by several devs to Taliesin (Im quoting him right now) (in case you dont know who that is, its a streamer that is known to be friends with some devs)
yeah I know I know ^^
And then came Danuser who put the last nail on the coffin?
I believe Bellular calls Danuser a "Sylvanas Simp."
I mean, she can still be an involved character without being a leader again
then came Danuser who tried to kind of save the mess Alex left
Ofc. that's what I would like. Make her like Wrathion or something. That's cool.
Definitely
Alex "No Negativity in the Dojo" Afrasiabi?
yeah sure. Sylvanas back in the horde would make not much sense
Denathrius akin to Azshara with Sylvanas pulling a Wrathion would work very well
That "no negativity in the dojo" was a completely fake thing mmo champ rumor right?
I thought the man himself said it.
I don't think so and I don't really know why it's important. He's is a bad person. I think that's all we need to know
I mean, aside from the portions of Forsaken who still practically deify her and venerate her for being their banshee Moses
Sylvanas could make her own faction akin to the Nightfallen. Except we wouldn't recruit them as an allied race.
yeah but thats totally fine, it fits the forsaken lore very well when you still have loylist NPCs wh oare obsessed with Sylvanas
since she was kind of their religion-like character/queen
Mhm--and don't forget that before that she was a renowned and revered hero of Quel'Thalas, so blood elves today would still maintain at the very least a token of traditional respect
Or, use my idea, cripple Sylvanas and force her to be the Lich Queen. Have what she wanted but in a cruel way. Immortality, power, an endless army of undead? Here's all of them, but you're frozen and also with no arms or legs.
Or maybe don't be fucking weird good lord why do I bother to give you a chance dude
What the hell
this is not what she wants. She wants to be free from her fate
I don't know how trying to quell a threat is weird. "There must always be a Lich King" should still apply, so why not make sure once they wake, they can't do shit?
Well here's the thing, if we are reforging the helm of Domination, why not just give it back to bolvar?
His daughter likely won't allow it.
"Leaving again, Father?"
"Yes Taelia. You ain't done shit all expansion, I am disappointed."
"no arms and legs" ? wtf is wrong with you
I hope they wont create a new guy made specifically for this role
This would be the best idea. Dude understands responsibility and would undoubtedly make the decision to sit on the throne again
Kinda just undo everything that happened this expac lol
Yeah, exactly what I meant by uncomfortable
Dunno what the fuck is wrong with me. Zul'jin was crippled for less.
I mean, not really. The Scourge are still a thing
he lost his arm and refused to regrow it because he "is his scars" or whatever
big difference lol
Even if they were created by an overarching strategy from within the Maw, they're still around. Kinda like how we can make up our minds now about fossil fuels but that won't fix the ozone lol
I still think Jaina and maybe even Thrall would want Sylvanas to pay for her crimes with a fate worse than death.
And as we saw in Theramore, Jaina is not above torture.
Mhm, yeah, because two characters who have learned to live beyond their past and to live for the future, learning from their mistakes instead of living with them, would totally be down for cruel inhuman torture and dismemberment and forced bondage. Gtfo of here Bad Apple you're gross
It's obvious what you're doing
When did I mention bondage? What.
but I want Bolvar to stay with his daughter and just be a good undy dead 😩
I mean yeah that'd be cool, but it also kinda goes against what Bolvar would do
Anyways... If Sylvanas is forgiven for whatever god-forsaken reason, I think she will just live in exile. She doesn't require food, water or rest, so I could see her going around, extinguishing small threats as a way to repent for her sins.
There. Made it child friendly for ya.
Are we doing rampant speculation? Here's my theory because it both seems neat and matches how blizzard thinks.
The red thing that disabled the arbiter was Azeroth, who died when sargeras stabbed her. The arbiter sacrificed herself to send azeroth to zereth mortis, which is why the jailer wanted to go there and also why azeroth features heavily in the fight. We then technically lose the fight vs the jailer, but azeroth sacrifices herself (there's a theme here) to kill the jailer. Then we use the creation engine to make a new baby azeroth that leads us into the next expansion.
Now imagine if the next expansion had the Dark Portal open again with Lightforged Yrel and the Lightbound invading and trying to convert everyone on Azeroth to the Light, with Velen being like "Haha, fuck no."
And then Yrel meets Lothraxion, joins the Lightbound Alliance, and the Horde with a bunch of rebels try saving Azeroth from this new threat.
I wonder who would even warn us about the threat to come. Probably Khadgar, since a Watchful Raven hint was in Oribos.
And imagine the reunion between Khadgar and Yrel.
"Archmage Khadgar. You have not changed."
"But you have, Yrel. What has the Light done to you?"
"The Light has elevated me to a higher state of being. I am Lightforged."
And then Velen steps in and says "You are mad!"
Eh, could work. Still a rough idea, but a Light expansion is not off the table.
Just imagine the new Lightbound human models from the Scarlet Crusaders who turn in.
And don't forget, the Scarlet Crusade is currently in possession of Terenas' crown.
It could bring Lordaeron back into the picture for good. Yrel uses Light magic to cleanse the plague in Undercity and turns it into her base of operations.
Eh, I'm just rambling.
huh, if wowhead can datamine the IGCs there were a lot of scripts for them in the ptr patch
Although there's probably a lot more encrypted models/voices on the others
Hating on Afrasiabi isn't a personality trait, and he didn't ruin the story of Sylvanas.
Bolvar's gotten like two quests of story, and both of them are taelia telling him he's stupid for abandoning her, he's definitely not going to have another "Im leaving the world of the living" behind moment
Not necessarily. You can be remorseful for a decision you'd willingly make again if it's a sacrifice for the greater good
ok. good to know we have someone here with more clue than the devs who worked with him.
Unless you see the BfA Story as not character ruining - hell, the Teldrassil burning ruined much more than just Sylvanas. Imagine being an night elf fella
I am a night elf
But I also know the lore enough to understand that her being behind the wrathgate was entirely within her character.
😂
Tbh, as a night elf fan I appreciated the additional tragedy, but I know I'm in the minority since I don't get along with most elf players
okay I see you have no idea . That wrathgate thing was made up by alex
its literally not canon
It wasnt made up, and it is canon
If you want to ignore the lore then be my guest 🤷♂️
alright
show me the canon lore where it is written
last time when wrathgate/Varimathras was brought up canonically was in before the storm
and Sylvanas had concerns there that something like this could happen again . implying she had no control back then when it happened
danuser literally walked back afrasiabi's statement a few days later because it directly contradicted pretty much everything lol
defending a serial abuser because you like what he said about a character you hate isnt really the best hill to die on lol
It didn't contradict anything
Since vanilla it had been in the eyes and ears of any player that created a forsaken. "the forsaken had entire and alliance of convenience" and "harbored no true loyalties" with the horde.
I'm Chronicles volume 3 it was heavily implied that she lied about her lack of awareness involving putress and varimathras.
Anyone that had actually been following her character understood her being behind it was within her character.
It has nothing to do with defending him as a person. What he did outside of his work in game is completely irrelevant to me.
And don't assume I hate Sylvanas, she has always been one of my all time favorite characters.
Chronic 3 imply that she possibly knew that vari and putress were up to something and just let it happen.
Saying she was behind it is literally wrong.
If she would be behind wrathgate, then she would've planned it with vari and putress - which she did not
Yeah, but she followed Putress' example an expansion later with Gilneas, lol.
We are talking about Wrathgate and Alex making shit up that is not canon
not about Gilneas . I dont understand why people want this whole "wrathgate" thing to be real, since Sylvanas did enough shit to hate her for
such a stupid hill to die on
Maybe because they want to have more reasons to hate Sylvanas.
Like every Horde player brings up Camp Turajo when talking about what Horde cities the Alliance has destroyed.
Someone will bring up pointless shit.
every? dont know - I do not
camp turajo is at least an canon event happened ingame and the wrathgate Sylvanas thing is a comment made up by a douche in an interview
Alex no longer works for Blizzard and his work will get retconned by the current writing team anyways, because they think they know better.
So everything is ultimately pointless.
"Wait, I made a mistake. I will retcon my own retcon so the lore doesn't seem retconned. Wait, what do you mean it was retconned twice?" - probably someone on the writing team.
I mean, I get it. Character development is important. Sylvanas is a flawed character, she has a character arc about redemption and forgiveness. Does it work, with all her deeds in the past expansions?
They will either have her take a hit for Anduin or just be released as a wildcard.
seems to be the last epilogue right ?
and in this scene she will have the new encrypted model. Could be a "ghost" model. Maybe she dies during the last fight with the jailer and gets send to the new arbiter
Anyone else worried about the amount of Pelagos and kelia models that are in that screenshot lol
so Anduin survives then
I mean I'd hope so
can't go through ALliance leaders like theyu go through horde leaders after all
/s
but srsly thank good ness
man I sure hope some things in that getting to ZM is placeholder
Blizz really is not hiding how much they are copying some other games lol
Wait
I'm confused on where in the time lin ethis is
is this after Zovaals defeat?
Or just after we save anduin?
probably after zovaals defeat
I think this sort of mining is relatively new, they may have just forgotten to encrypt it
I think that sylvanas is actually the placeholder model for Arbiter Pelagos
Or possibly arbiter pelagos is a tricksy placeholder name for sylvanas
There's no mention of sylvanas in the script text, but there is an arbiter pelagos who pretty much everyone except the 4 protectors is facing
which you can tell because they literally say they're facing the actor named "arbiter"
And I don't see anyone else in the scene who could plausibly be a new pelagos model
On wow.tools that creature entry seems to just point to a file that doesn't exist, so I'm not even sure where the model comes from
yooo i saw you on twitter
color me shook
red herring
Well based on the datamined voice lines, I think it's pelagos in the end. I think he might sacrifice his soul to restore the Arbiter somehow
I might be crazy but I feel like the orb in the center of the arbiter is much more blue than it was before. I definitely could be wrong tho. Might be an indication of Pelagos though since he's a smurf boy
is this pelagosarbiter? or a new one?
Maybe it's a placeholder and the next model will come in a future ptr update. They just went for the existing one
It's just the Arbiter model.
It got a new animation where she crosses her arms.
It's just used in the opening cutscene, the Attendants do a ritual to create a new Sigil of Oribos, and while they sing, an image/vision of the Arbiter with her arms crossed appears behind them. That's it.
When the raiders are sus
We already got one
Yours, is a theory. Ours, is fact.
The fact that both Alleria and Vereesa are present suggests that this is a joyous occasion. Might be the moment Sylvanas gets judged by the new Arbiter getting sent to the afterlife she was always supposed to go to before being cursed to undeath by Arthas.
My theorie is that in the final fight against the Jailer, Sylvanas will sacrifice herself to defeat him.
The fact that there is a new encrypted model that is also used in the same scene, suggests that this is most likely her "Soul" model. Basically Sylvanas without being an undead (which makes sense, if Sylvanas would die right now her full soul would go to the arbiter)
And yes, the new arbiter is gonna judge her
my other theorie is, should Sylvanas not die in the jailer fight, then her new model is probably something about being the lich queen or a new jailer

because that reforged helm needs a purpose. And I dont see any chance blizzard is gonna make bolvar again the lich king
unles... the reason why we reforge the helm is because the one who wears it, is immune against the jailer domination magic?
Would kinda make sense too....
why would they be immune,we know arthas (retroactively) was said he heard the jailer
same as bolvar with the helm
but bolvar was immuni against him right? And at the end Arthas didnt do what the jailer wanted
hearing a compulsion isnt the same thing as mindcontrol
same as how alleria hears the void 24/7 but doesnt do what it says
yeah thats the point. maybe this connection with the helm could resist his magic? Not sure tho
or the fact that the helm is being reforged makes it somehow immune ?
the helm is a conduit for his magic,
arthas wouldnt have been able to hear the jailer at all,if it wasnt for the helm
I know
I think it was stated that the life force of Alexstrasza infused in Bolvar's body is what allowed him to keep control while wearing the helm of domination.
Pretty much
Bolvar was infused with Life Magic, the anthithesis of Death, conveniently those where flame ( An'she ? )
I don't think Anshe blessed Alex with her life giving breath
soz, That's not what I meant. I meant that flame were linked with life magic , so there might be an An'she connexion somehwere
An'she is more than " Only Light " Like Elune is more than " Only Life "
Most in-game solar spells, such as [Solar Wrath] and [Solar Beam], and the Blessing of An'she obtained by the [Blessing of the Ancients], appear to inflict nature damage against opponents in contrast with their lunar-based arcane spells, indicating that An'she is a patron to balance druids as well as the Sunwalkers, and that some Solar-based energies are also linked to Life.
Solar Wrath - https://ptr.wowhead.com/spell=158429/solar-wrath - PTR 9.2.0
Solar Beam - https://ptr.wowhead.com/spell=78675/solar-beam - PTR 9.2.0
Blessing of the Ancients - https://ptr.wowhead.com/spell=352105/blessing-of-the-ancients - PTR 9.2.0
@subtle oar moreover, in the cosmic chart of Grimoire there is a sun at the center of the Life realm
The Grimoire is no more accurate than the Chronicles. Both are biased from the perspective of the writer
Also, Tauren Sunwalkers gain their power with the Light by worshipping Anshe, The Light
An’she has to be light. We got the Blue Child - Death, the White Lady - Life, and An’she - Light
Well, if you don't read what I'm writing it's no use to answer
I did, you're just wrong.
no. You did not. You repeated twice that Sunwalkers worship An'she. I know, I got it, I acknowledge it. I answered with the fact that in game elements implies that The power of the sun are also linked with life,
The same can be said about Elune, who is confirmed to be on the pantheon of Life, but also Created Naaru's , use Arcane ( order power ) , Light ( light power ) , Void ( shadow power ) and Nature ( life power )
So when I say that An'she can also be Life Power, you just say " no, wrong "
Well, It's not wrong to speculate that he's not pure light
Elune didn’t create the Naaru
She doesn’t use shadow, arcane, or anything else
Eh actually no arcane yes but not shadow
Come on. She does. She infused Tyrande with shadow powers. The spells she used on darkshore were void themed
That’s not void…
If you look at her spells they are literally lunar strike and balance Druid spell effects
Yeah that’s just cost cutting. They’re not going to spend money to make brand new animations for a character that’s only going to show up once the entire expansion. As for the well, thats not void. Just because it’s got dark colors doesn’t mean it’s void.
why are we talking about an'she, anything new about him?
No, its just the Light
My theory is that An'she, Azeroth and Elune are part of the Pantheon of Light and Shadow.
We already know Elune is a part of the Life Pantheon. Why are we still debating what she is
Because Blizzard likes retconning their own lore so much. It may be subject to change until we get to see her.
Yeah but that’s just not something they would retcon.
We don't know for sure.
No. We know for sure because it’s in the game. The Primus and the Winter Queen explicitly state she’s from the pantheon of life
And the Grimoire of the Shadowlands too
Not just that, but that she's the Winter Queen's opposite counterpart
yea so let's call it " purple arcane then " LOL
It's not a fact when there is no official confirmation and big fansites / wow creators don't know the answer. Embrace the "theory" instead of calling it a fact. peace

🙂
I like tinfoil hats.
Yeah because we have no evidence saying it's void, and it doesn't look like it either.
If it's not void its shadow ( who is part of void ) , basically , not making my point untrue. Elune can wield shadow, light, nature, arcane, and to a certain extent, had an influence over Death ( through the WQ, after all she can bypass the Arbiter to send the souls directly to Ardenweald )
Now, her Sibling, An'she, is probably not limitated to Light and Also have an influence over life / nature. Saying that he's only 'from the light realm and a lightweaver' is a theory, not a fact, because we never met him yet.
I'm theorizing that he got an influence in life, and it's basically shown on the Chart of Grimoire :
You can clearly see the sun and the moon entwined, like twins, on the Life part.
This discussion is the same as when people said " Elune is a light lord lol " when telling them that she could weave different type of magic and was probably not a light lord.
You get what I meant. Stop picking on small details.
Shadow and Void are the same thing
We just don't know what the Night Warrior's magic qualifies as
for now.
Could easily be a blend of light, shadow, and arcane too
logically , if if's " night warrior " its the night, hence shadow. Priestess of Elune are light and shadow , but its not stated, and the logic of the writer might be unknown to us sometime, but that does not invalidate the An'she thing that can be possible. An'she might even be a Nature + light entity of the Pantheon of Life, while Elune is the Shadow + Nature entity of the same pantheon, both twins in harmony.
There can even be a Nature bending Eternal One in each Pantheon. Winter Queen is the death one, Eonar the Order one, Elune the Life one, and An'she the Light one. Shadow / void can have one too, we have a void flower and the corruption of the Emerald Dream at play, and Thros
Elune is already established as the Winter Queen's pantheonic counterpart. If anyone were to be entwined with Elune to that degree, I think it'd come up
I think this is just overcomplicated speculation when compared to what's already presented in canon
We can't say for sure, its possible but there are a lots of things to uncover yet.
We can say for sure that Elune and the Winter Queen are pantheonic counterparts
And they're the only two who seem to have such a connection when it comes to gods, as presented
To speculate similar connections is fine, but when you don't have the prerequisite presented canon it starts becoming irresponsible
that sentence was not needed. Nor that it brings anything to the table. 'We can't say for sure' was only for ' If anyone were to be entwined with Elune to that degree, I think it'd come up'
I wouldn't say it's not needed. There's a lot of speculation that happens here and in other places that runs wild without anything canon to ground it
That's speculation. There are also thing presented at " canon " here that are just theory, as I read earlier. That does not need big words and can still be discussed with respect and tolerance
Which you seems stranger to most of the time, as I heard from others
Speculation works best when what you're speculating on has some kind of grounding in canon, is what I'm saying
People like to apply their own tone and meaning to my messages. The only things I'm intolerant of are ignorance and carelessness, and I don't parrot opinions
logically , if if's " night warrior " its the night, hence shadow.
That could make sense, but as I said, it's not been stated, plus it doesn't seem to have any particularly negative effects at all (like Void usually does). The only correlation between Night Warrior magic and Void magic is that it looks dark. But in this case it's just a reference to the "dark side of the moon" theme they have going on.
Personally I'd find it weird if Elune used Void magic, and if it was intended to be Void then they probably would've just used the brand new Void magic SFX they made for BFA, but instead they used a distinctly different and unique SFX palette.
It's rather interesting that most moon-related spells and abilities tend to focus on arcane more than they do shadow, however
Also just to clarify, disagree with "night = shadow" as that's a bit of a leap. Night could also be nature or arcane or plenty of things.
And we did have a lot of spells referring to the Moon or the night that were not shadow, for example
Embrace of the Eclipse, Lunar Beacon, Moon Burn, Lunar Suffusion (from the Font of Elune), etc. (all of which are Arcane by the way).
If you look at Night Warrior Tyrande's spells specifically:
Elune's Wrath deals Nature damage, Convocation of Elune is Physical, Nightfire is Arcane, Power of the Moon is Physical, etc.
(Although that's game mechanics, which are not necessarily a source of lore and don't tend to be super reliable, like how some clearly magical fiery spells sometimes just deal Physical damage or whatever)
That’s probably due to Eonar and Elune’s connection. Elune using Order and Eonar using Life has to be related. Especially considering the existence of Elunaria
I bet Elune will call Eonar her child or something soon, lol.
QUESTION: do y’all still see a lot of Roleplay recruiting on PTR? Specifically for like Kingdom roleplays?
Rp? On PTR? That'd be news to me
I doubt RP happens on PTR. But I always advise you to NOT join house/military type RP guilds. They are dumb and people have no idea what being a noble or what being in a military is like.
Anastarian had all of these Kingdom roleplays, family roleplays

Ptr is literally where my username came from, on top of that
Also why won’t PTR show up in the drop down box for me?
PTR simply has a better community than retail. People are more active and social, I've noticed.
It's like PTR should be the actual game.
thats because there are constant changes
once the changes stop, ptr dies
Yup.
except its worse than retail b/c theres no dungeons or raids really
Doesn't change the fact that PTR has a better community. And I can't tell you why.
Point, but still not enough.
it absolutely is
its the same reason alphas and betas in games APPEAR to have a better community
Ideally just to test and bug report new patch features
its a smaller selection of dedicated players all playing the same thing for generally the same reasons
I don’t know why I started PTR I thought it would be cool to see changes, but back in WoD probably) the first thing I saw was a cat Roleplay and I immediately went 👀
theres definitely no RP on ptr anymore
It's weird. I don't get to find a lot of bugs when playing on PTR, but I see people reporting tens of thousands of them.
they sorta broke non-active content
intentionally
they dont want people using ptr as free wow
I rp, but I definitely wouldn't condone rp on the PTR since that's not what it's for
My respect for you has grown.
gotta report all the small things
What do you mean breaking in active content?
IE - dialogue missing, dialogue starting early or late, typos, weird dips in terrain, lack of attacks or attacks being too difficult or not difficult enough
i mean, that there are missing NPCs below 50
they remove a bunch of key npcs and force phases
because theyre not testing 1-50
theyre testing 60 stuff
ah I don’t remember this back in. WoD’s. I’m interested in actually doing the PTR proper now 👀
they broke it starting in late legion
I got an Outlaw Rogue from 1-100 back in the Legion PTR.
That was awesome and I've never had so much fun.
Ah makes sense
they fully broke it after the level squish testing for SLs prepatch
leveling 1-60 is technically possible but not through normal methods
Yeah, you gotta switch up the Chromie a lot. And farm mobs.
normal leveling is broken intentionally so that the focus is on the content they want tested
ive also heard that if you dont actually test stuff, theyll just close your ptr account
that doesnt mean you need to report bugs
Curious.
it just means you need to be doing the content theyre testing
i dont know if its true because i always play the content they want tested
But the content being tested could be a new class/spec, which I want to test from scratch. That happened with my Outlaw.
but its not something i want to test
when that happens, they remove the blocks
like they did for SLs prepatch
They better.
but generally, they force progression breaks to make sure ptr isnt free wow
Seems fair. And I can't blame them for it, otherwise everyone would just play PTR and forget about retail.
it was pretty bad in legion
"Hey guys, here's a new store mount! Wait, where's the playerbase? GOD DAMMIT, THEY'RE ON PTR AGAIN!"
Which was a good move
this is so much of an out of context spoilers that i dont count it as one,but yes,this is the datamined 9.2 cinematic,and your favorite other mmo side by side
really feels like "you can copy my homework but dont be too obvious" moment

now im not accusing blizzard of anything,just pointing out that nailing the same shape and color even down to what is inside of it,is a bit more of a coincidence to me
very 🤔 moment
The only thing about 9.2 which I feel.8s sussy and sorta copying endwalker in is the "Final chapter of Warcraft 3 to now." Thing
Likw
If this expac was THAT important, would it not have been mentioned as a MARKETING tool?
Because everyone would love to know how a story ends.
Even if it is shit
the circle with dot is the alchemical symbol for the sun
that's all well and good,
but the fact the shape and the color are the same
is what's a bit sus
to me
no because they had no idea they actually wanted to finish the story arc in this expac,and they're making up their lore patch by patch as usual
and anyone interested in the lore(as videos show) can tell you that "this ties up the warcraft 3 stuff" is bs
There's like 12 different colours of that thing in FF14
they all have different symbols on them and they all have story significance,
but im not talking about it because its giga spoilers getting into it
Well, in any case the arbiters symbol is just the general head shape of the arbiter (with the fanned out crest thingy she has) with the orb/chest hole thrown in the middle of it. It really is just a coincidence, unless you think that they rushed the arbiters design in like the month between 5.3 launch and shadowlands launch
im not throwing accusations at blizzard, just found this coincidence a little more than a coincidence
¯_(ツ)_/¯
What’s next?
Are we gonna say these are ripoffs?
Cmon. There’s a whole plethora of things to crap on Blizz for right now but this is one is just pointless
did you know both ff14 AND wow have elves
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That's disingenuous and you know it. Those are not comparable at all
that's already different from what's shown in the screenshot
dont change the cards on the table
whats shown in this screenshot,is quite diffferent
from what you pulled up
the cutscene one looks very scuffed compared to that one,but i can see the similarities between the two.
the point of contention is NOT them both representing the sun
but the shape and color being almost 1:1 in the cutscene shot i showed
Yes but bar the color difference that is the same thing is it not? And the red X over the 9.2 cutscene blocks part of the Arbiter’s sigil’s design, which yes makes it look more similar.
But get rid of the red x that’s what we have
again,whether blizzard has copied it or not,doesnt really change my day,
as i said earlier,i just thought the coincidence was a little too striking and posted it
These are comparable. Hydalyn and a soul gem are not
To be completely fair Tiri, I'm not saying that BlIz is directly copying FF14 or anything.
The thing is though. I find it suspicious that they did not brand SL as the end of the "first book" of Warcraft at the beginning
You would think that it'd be a HUGE selling point for the expac
well they haven't even done that now, they said it was the end of "one book", not "book one", and the book was three chapters for the jailer in 9.0/9.1/9.2
No, they said in the announcement video that This would be the final chapter in the Warcraft Saga
they literally did not
Give me a bit. I'll prove it.
DUDE HE LITERALLY SAYS IT 30 SECONDS INTO THE VIDEO

pulls together threads
that started in Warcraft III
and wove their way
through many of our expansions.
We approached it
like a drama in three acts.
Now, as the third
and final act begins of the saga,
we need to stop the Jailer
from reaching his ultimate goal,
which is to rewrite the rules of reality.
Eternity's End serves as the final chapter
of one book of the Warcraft saga.```
```We approached it``` - the shadowlands story
```Now, as the third
and final act begins of the saga,``` - the third act, i.e. 9.2, where the first and second acts were 9.0 and 9.1
```Eternity's End serves as the final chapter
of one book of the Warcraft saga.``` -final chapter of shadowlands, which is ONE BOOK, and not BOOK ONE
Then why even go into the spiel about it hooking together threads of Warcraft 3 and the past? Why does that matter if each game/expac is its own book?m
Also, if that's what they meant, that's shit wording.
Etwrnity's End serves as the final chapter of [one book of the warcraft sagae].
Am I supposed to believe the Warcraft Saga has been going on for 12 fuckin books?? I'm certain they mean that this is the end of the Warcraft 3 -> Shadowlands plot line, before opening a new book, which starts after we leave the shadowlands.
SHIT
@cunning fossil Yeah, they've definitely tried to claim this expansion is Wows "Endwalker"
It's fuckinh hilarious
"12 fuckin books" sure, it is expansion 8 after all, and each of them has been fairly self contained
Then why has NO OTHER EXPAC been branded as such?
Why don't they say that every .3 patch is the "End of The expac saga"
Some more broadcast text
Mortise, LUMEN, Ordos = Death, Light, Order
Vitae, Umbra Tumult = Vital (life), Void/Shadow, Turmoil (Chaos)
Makes sense
Also just to say, the word Saga is a large word to use. You can-/ just say every short 3 part story is a "saga"
of the Shadowlands saga.``` well they explicitly did (9:59 in the video)
The uses were different though. The subject of the "one book" was crealy from the story up to this point
And a lot of other people have construed that from the codeo
If they want to clear that up, it'd be great
arguing about semantics is surely engaging
Okay last thing cause I really try to keep it off this page but
"Shadowlands is like the final chapter of one book of the Warcraft saga"
You cannot be serious lol
If you wanna say the large amount of the player base is wrong for taking it this way, go ahead. But it won't stop people.from taking it this way unless they clear it up
People are taking it this way because that is what Blizzard has intended because they honest have convinced themselves that they are that smart
Yeah no im not disagreeing with you at all. I'm just saying that just because there's a dot in the center of a glowing yellow symbol doesn't indicated that someone is copying the other. That said, I would like it if Blizz actually did copy FFXIV occasionally... cough player housing cough. Because maybe then I'd resubscribe.
Lmao factual
when did tiridan unsub,i must have missed it
also tiridan,you know there's like 3 or 4 otter pets/minions in FF,since you got that profile pic
My sub runs out in December
I haven't been playing the game for a while. My entire guild quit so I'm not raiding meaning that I'm not doing anything since I also just don't like M+
And at this point I've just found myself not even wanting to play MMOs
The only Blizzard property I actually care about right now is Overwatch, and it looks like they're just running it into the ground
my entire guild quit in 9.1 too but we hang out on discord still
also,i hope you are aware that wow(or ff) arent the only mmos existing
but you are throwing shade
and it's pointless and dumb
even wow devs have chimed to say that it's a dumb comparison
Yeah that's funny shit. The Devs chiming in defending what they did is.. literally nothing new.
And then there's the people who would defend Blizzard even if Bobby murdered someone.
I'm curious if there's any data for the Incubus' voice overs in the data yet
Doesn't seem like it
The mods have said so many times to not come in here and jsut trash talk, just pointing that out there
We're not trash talking the game though
Just giving comparison
Which are fair to make
Soon, soon, the PTR will be here, eager to see what we will got.
I just want to see what my hunter is going to be able to tame. 😬
tame anduin :p
Cute bunnies !
so i just realized, the anduin fight has 3 npcs, jaina sylv and uther, and theres an arthas phase, so were gonna get a juicy arthas cinematic after the fight
with the 3 people closest/hurt the most by arthas
and they want to give that cinematic time to shine
I doubt it lmao
I do too but that would be hilarious
everyone is anticipating this huge lore moment and then just
bleh
if they build up the story and separate it into two weeks for a garrosh cinematic - theyre setting themselves up for backlash
It may not be a 3 minute cinematic, but itll be something noteworthy
i expect it to be reminiscent of the OG arthas cutscene
considering thats the intention of the fight
- Jaina, is it over?
- At long last my love, no soul is dominated forever
- I see only Venthyr, before me....
His soul should be beyond Recognition at this point
We will see.. but I hope also that the fight will be a great cinematic moment.
Hey do you guys know if because they changed the glad mount to red they will also make the tabard fit that mount ?
theres a new glad mount each season
pretty sure theres not a new tabard each season
unless im wrong
There is lol I’m a r1 pvper
We get new tabard enchant and mount every season now
And mog obviously
We used to only have 1 enchant per expansion but it seems they want to add a new enchant every season in shadowlands
I guess there isn’t a specific gladiator cloak anymore either because we have 5 mogs for elite cloak now, but one is given when you reach duelist I think automatically
Which is the basic one
oh then probably?
I'd guess tomorrow or thursday
prob thursday
wait when does endwalker early access begin?
Friday? It'll be friday
probably not
they would just be overshadowed
no one is going to watch 9.2 ptr when they can watch FFXIV
Yeah true
you've made that very clear,but you arent the average viewerbase
in the general mmo sphere,theres a ton of eyes on FF14 atm
Remember that time someone said afrasiabi's statement on Sylvanas was non canon xD
Silly silly
Even Danuser accepts it
What statement
Arthas summoning begins
No
WOoot PTR 😄
ah, any ptr news then ?
servers are still down, patch hasn't been pushed through the launcher yet
there is a 9.2.0.41257 on Vendor2, so it might be a new build over what we've seen (datamined was 9.2.0.41089)
PTR is still set to 9.1.5 on launcher right? until they push to servers?
Normally takes a good while before it hits the launchers, yeah
generally not long before the servers come up
Like right now?? 😮
chad peach being able to stick to his convictions
set bonuses testable right away, what is this madness
they're wanting you to give feedback early so they can ignore it and only change it 3months from now
as usual
oh seems like the warlock helm has been made into a featureless cube for now
not completely removed
do u know when u can join the ptr?
https://ptr.wowhead.com/news/patch-9-2-ptr-new-armored-jailer-model-325137?webhook finally i dont look at his digusting bald head anymore
So apparently Sylvannis was under the Jailer's control the whole time? until phase 3 of the slyvannis fight?
where does it say that
In the Wowhead stream right now.
They just went through the voice lines, and one of them was about how Slyvannis was under the jailer's control
Until that phase where the jailers grip was loosened and she decided to shoot an arrow at the jailer.
Looks like she's talking about Arthas
I'm honestly not sure
the last line "That is yet to come" makes me think jailer way more than arthas
up to that it's vague
Oh, like the Lich Kings domination is the jailer's power and Slyvannis is the only person to overcome his domination so
can we have all the voicelines posted on youtube channel plz
they're working on it
With the jailer, she might be the only person who help Anduin overcome his dominated state.
This is the full dialogue apparently
"I don't remember the exact moment I rested control. I do remember the rush of freedom, the clarity of purpose, When I loosed my arrow I sought to become his judge and executioner. I thought when I could punish him for his crimes, I- Would be absolved of mine. Forgiven for the atrocities he forced me to commit against my own people. But there would be no justice that day. For anyone, that is yet to come..."
if I can figure out how file ids link to a sound id I'll link the wowhead page for them
When Illidan attacked Icecrown
Hmmm.....So Sylvannis was possessed?
Under arthas Lich king yes
She wasn't bound to Arthas, she was bound to the Lich King Ner'zhul
those are the sounds, the transcripts seem accurate
Arthas raised her and commanded her, sure
this is prolly just her last line on a quest chain for why we've forgiven her
I mean the last part says justice is yet to come "for anyone", presumably including herself
Also nothing says sylvanas is actually being honest with us
nothing says she's talking about the jailer either
it's best to jump to extremely wild speculations
For some reason there are a number of new files for mekkatorque and mechagon, maybe we pay him a visit at some point
It sounds like Arthas to me
you also get the ability to have the succubus/incubus summon be random
Wonder if the ptr is even gonna come up today
I bet a ton that it's up in the next 24 hours
Ah, it seems random is the default, and glyph is if you want a specific summon
..well yes, my point is that it may not be up tonight
Its clear with the forum posts and the build they're planning for it to be up and testable today, but things don't always go according to plan
Would not be the first time they had to wait til the next day to bring it up due to issues
And my point is that we wont have to wait too long now to finally try 9.2 a little bit
we've already waited this long
Sure, but that's completely unrelated from my comment lol
this is definitely taking a while as far as PTR pushes go, but I don't think it's unheard of
Theyll make an announcement within the hour if it wont be up tonight I think
Probably. It's past 5pm PST already
