Ey more night elf slaughter
Well, to be fair they attacked him first xD
I am horde, even i know don't mess with the gnomes D:
That gnome was also destroying excavation sites with just archaeologist goblins and sin'dorei
they kill innocent zandalari exiles too
Don't the horde massacre an unaligned human village?
I need to clearly go lookup all of keeshans story, I could've sworn he died at the end of redridge, but he appears to be alive and well in those screenshots
He's also with us in our garrisons I thought.
what if he's secretly a death knight
Not as a follower
as a quest giver.
Warlords of Draenor
Warlords of Draenor This section concerns content exclusive to Warlords of Draenor.
Keeshan can be found occasionally in Lunarfall Inn in Lunarfall or in Frostwall Tavern, where he offers the dungeon daily quests N [100] Cold Steel and N [100] Cold Steel Part II, looking for items from the Grimrail Depot.
has anything interesting come of the alliance war campaign
that is as exciting as the horde war campaign like finding derek proudmoore
the whole sanlayn story
but nothing related to the strike on zuldazar or the one before it yet?
I dont think thats all available yet
the horde variant one is so id assume the alliance one is
or bugs may prevent access to it
It is interesting to see the honorbound in the alliance campaign
we'll probably see on tuesday/wednesday
Highmountain Warbringers, haha
I love it
Everyone in the horde working together
Poor Areiel though
I think her last statement hints something dark does await the forsaken though
hence why its likely it's not just Sylvanas' assumption that her hell awaits all forsaken, not just dark rangers
^^
The marquis/marquess fighting animations are cool though
They fight hand-to-hand, and their hands have blood affects.
v a m p i r e e l f m o n k s
I would not be opposed to them being playable, but I won't cry over not having them either.
That is a good attitude
I could see them opting for san'layn instead of regular elf undead
More of a twist and such
This is true
oh? what does she say Khamnin?
Lightforged Draenei is golden eyed draeneï @tulip sun
Not exactly
Wouldn't be a prob to have pointed eared forsaken at that point
I was figuring Sylvanas would raise a fresh batch of dead blood elves over Lorth's objections
The Lightforged Draenei have not only slightly different physical appearances, but innate magic
So getting vampire elves as the undead ellf replacement is a slight improvement over Sylvie screwing her allies again 😛
I was only talking about the physicals myself tho
THat light magic is what gives them their racials and such, and is the same thing that would make the playable san'layn better than regular undead elves
The whole point of Allied Races is being similar to existing races and thus quicker to produce
^^
Ion: "alright, guys. The Horde is getting both Sanlayn and High Elves. We can all be happy now. Ha!"
that'd be shitty but also somewhat funny
"And if you aint happy about it, the Horde is there for you"
People still on about that?
Of course they are
people will still be on about that until either the horde or the alliance gets one or both
but if they don't, they'll cry that Ion told the truth
I still don't see high elves happening.
True, but still unlikely.
But the BFA Allied Races are set in stone by now
Regardless of how much crying there is
Ion just explained why the team made a decision they've already made months ago
Also Ion: "What's that? Next expac takes place in Candyland?"
And even if they are happening, people will find a way to bitch about how they are
If anything, I just see them eventually giving blue eyes to blood elves, because it is logical with lore and such, despite the outrage that would happen.
Ion: Hold on, this sounds like Candy Crush
I can't see them personally as a full race
Anything's possible, with enough new hairstyles and potentially tattoos
there's going to be outrage no matter what bliz does
And if 9.0 is going to have another 8-10 Allied Races
Seeing how they've given golden eyes to Blood elves, might happen to give blue eyes to blood elves too
With the "The horde welcomes you if you want High elves" again
I mean the outrage is stemming from their rather large horde bias
instead of high elves over void elves they add void elves and say if you want high elves go horde
BUt there is a -reason- for that.
That is not bias
You guys just choose to view it that way
Don't worry tho
The ~Outrage~ will turn to cry about vampire elves
If they are in fact a thing
(On the bright side, it means the fox people will be able to live in peace)
I laugh at the arguments that we can't get san'layn if they didn't get high elves.
it is bias, having played through the entire horde war campaign and some of the alliance the alliance is getting curb stomped besides the allied race debacle
Like really? xD
The Horde one is much more implemented tbh
The alliance one we only see so much
it isn't once you get to the derek quest line
And even if it was
and tbh, I like the alliance one, particularly vol'dun and nazmir so far.
It's literally the first act of BFA
the tracking for that quest line and beyond is broke
The story won't be over for another 2 years
Ya, there is a lot to come
The alliance campaign is very interesting
With areiel's death and dreven
Chasing down Gallywix
they would be fools to add more elves
There is nothing wrong with elves if it makes sense.
the game is saturated with elf variants already
Like, undead elves make 100% sense with sylvanas in prominence and leading
Four?
Really?
they'd be better off adding something different and unique than another variant of a preexisting race
pretty much the entire story of BfA has happened before already.
It's just nonsense about stupid war and violence that makes absolutely no sense since the Alliance and Horde are both allies and adversaries. And it's that being rinsed and repeated over and over and over.
We have two trolls, two dwarves, two tauren, four human variants(worgen...shapeshifting humans, kul'tirans are large humans, humans then undead humans),
and that is the point of the allied race system
To add these similar races
People want more dwarves and tauren, even trolls
Adding undead elves for instance won't hurt anything
Zandalari has been begged for for years, as have a wildhammer or in this case dark iron dwarves
But other than that there are not really anymore options
worgen aren't human variants tho
They technically are if they have a human form
they're just humans who can turn into wolf-people
They are cursed humans
cursed Gilnean humans who are just Stormwind humans but came from Gilneas
But there is truly only one more elf variant even in the running to be added in my views
Which are undead elves/san'layn, which would make sense
I mean the only reason maybe would be dark rangers but in that case make a class
not an elf variant
or just make an undead variant of every race. to make the human forsaken not so lonely
Wotlk 2 confirmed:
The razing of Azeroth
Undead variant of every race ? Like, death knight kinda ?
Forsaken for every race then ?
because they havent updated or bothered to fix the major lore holes with that
hmm?
The ones that can't be death knight apart from pandarens are allied races for the only reason, for most of them, for not having it easier to get the heritage armor
Dark iron dwarves and such coudl easily be deaths knights
I mean you can flat out just add rolling a DK removes chance at heritage
Any race technically could be death knights, if the zone was updated.
what happens when the original races get heritage armor?
They raised fallen soldiers on the broken shore
and what khamnin said
you make a different allied race of that race and start at 1?
they hinted at them getting a new starting zone in the most recent QnA
The devs even stated that the heritage armor was not the reason for no DKs
Well, I guess if the original races get heritage armor, either it will have a different way to obtain it, either it will be like @slate ingot said, can't get it with DK
Well, what was the reason then Khamnin ?
Don't ask me, but they clearly stated that was not the issue
For Lightforged Draenei I see, but Dark Iron Dwarves who were there at that point, and have as much logic as a death knight as a regular dwarf ?
... Kind of the fact that even if the Ebon Blade is raising new members it wouldn't mean that it'd make any sense for Highmountain, Nightborne, Lightforged or Void elf DKs?
which qna?
this one?
http://www.wowhead.com/news=284227/method-jdotb-q-a-10-weekly-affix-advice-mdi-esports-organizations?webhook/method-jdotb-q-a-10-weekly-affix-advice-mdi-esports-organizations
I dont even know what that is, the most recent blizz QnA
which one is that tho
Lightforged are the only ones that would be unable to become DKs
Due to being off-world and all
Especially when the "raising new members" thing is kind of limited, the Deathlord only created the Four Hoursemen.
and QnA's are on the #latest-news-old
same one with the high elf stuff
¯_(ツ)_/¯
lightforged are just an excuse to give Draenai glowing tattoos and call them a different race
No, raising new members is consistent throughout the expansion, as minions
I dont know how else to say it was the last QnA they did on twitch
It's implied that there MIGHT be new ones via the other Order Hall things, but nothing as concrete as the Four Horsemen.
There is literally a specific quest that says it
I've gone through the entire storyline, there is no clarification.
It is when you first start the mission table stuff
Raising new undead skeletons and ghouls =/= raising new DKs.
the recruitment of your little troops are literally new DKs
That fell on the broken shore
and?
AKA every single race that defends against the burning legion, barring lightforged due to outer space anda ll
they're still new dks
Highmountain, Dark Iron, Pandaren, Naga, literally every previously discovered race could be possible.
Tol'vir even, shown to be fighting against the burning legion in the hunter all(despite it only being one npc)
Saurfang cutscene is implemented now for the battle for lordaeron Alliance side
"I cannot emphasize enough that it is of the utmost importance that we replenish our numbers during the battle with the Burning Legion."
"I have been keeping an eye on the casualties of the Alliance and Horde upon the battlefield. Supply is limited, but there are some very promising prospects..."
Yeah this isn't like, a "LOL LETS DO IT."
It's implied.
Not direct confirmation.
It's a "we might be doing this."
That's the exact text from the recruitment, nothing explictly says, "Hey these are actually 4th gen."
So overall it's plausible but unlikely that any of the Legion-related allied races would ever get DKs.
Are we saying they just magically appear?.....oh, I am just going to say that we need to replenish our numbers and we have located bodies on the broken shore, but no, lets not raise them. Lets magically get new DKs.
They appear from nothing
That whole quest was just pointless apprently
Thinks that getting new allied races as DKs is impossible despite it being in a previous expac and anything that happens afterwards is intentionally ignored
If you want to roleplay a fourth-generation risen from a Felborne or Feltotem, or other enemy variant of the playable allied races feel free because there's look-alike DK sets.
But it's not happening as an actual option at this point in time with Blizzard's current stance on it.
its not off the table
I didn't say it was happening
but
And, yeah. Felborne or Feltotem.
Because not enough regular variants of those would be killed on the Broken Shore to supply it.
it's not happening in BFA
But it would be possible and have a lore reason
Nightborne and Highmountain are on the broken shore fighting, highmountain particularly are shown in numbers....
Why raise enemy, fel-tainted dead?
Dunno. Why doesn't lor'themar let sylvanas raise more undead sin'dorei?
☝
That is a random question?
the answer to said question is the same to why we aren't raising our allies as undead
No, it's not.
If the Ebon Blade began raising LEGIONFALL members into undeath, they would've been as much as an enemy to the Legionfall as the Legion was itself.
They pretty clearly don't care and do raise them.
The other soldiers weren't apart of the new order.
"why raise enemy fel-tainted dead?"
why ally with the demon hunters? they did used to be enemies of us around the first(?) time we killed Illidan
a traitor horde champion
Neat.
Deathlord does all of that, and Morgraine repeatedly states, "Everyone is going to hate us for this. You know that right?"
The Ebon Blade isn't a hivemind, it's just being led by someone way too comfortable with the fact that Bolvar's speaking in his head.
Are they fun?
Yeah, Kul Tiras is a lot of smaller, interesting sidestories
cuz that's what I care about
wait, who said the Ebon Blade cares about raising allies?
vs Zandalars singular, grand ones
Nile insisted that they would only raise fel-tainted enemies, such as felbourne and feltotem
lmao
stormsong alone has the tidesage story, the horde invasion story, the quilboar invasion story, the naga invasion story, and the venture co story
that's funny
Poor Stormsong
It's less that they care and more, "Let's not get annihilated by every other fucking class order here that is apart of the Legionfall."
"We already fucked up with the Silver Hand."
oh and the bee story
They don't care Nile
I havent even done that yet
Silverhand got even with us in the Ashbringer stuff
Anyway, they are too worried about the legion to care about fallen bodies.
Except for all the quests where we go to cleanse/sanctify fallen bodies
just ignore those and yea you're right
It is not like they remove them from the battlefield.
And where Velen literally is calling it a disgrace to the dead and all that fun jazz.
No but sanctifying them and cleansing them is what we do. Even if we can't move em, theyre protected
My point is they are not attacking the ebon blade because they are a valuable ally
Their actions will bite them in the ass eventually
- the Ebon Blade has no allies. it is a neutral faction.
- The Ebon Blade doesn't give a shit about who it raises, as long as it's army grows.
- If they raised demons, that would be either a incredible stupidity, genius, or somewhere in between
And the fact that even the quests that DKs GET aren't related to raising the bodies, they're related to disrupting the rituals the Burning LEgion is doing.
But there is nothing stopping them, and they do, raise allies
On the Broken Shore.
they raise people they can control
who was it that was talking about no feedback from azerite?
that's all
and there are many races on the broken shore NIle
all the races that can be DK's as of Legion are on the broken shore
as well as more
"Your pet lich professes to have a plan that requires the bones of those sacrificed to the fel. Help him if you think it will aid your cause, but keep that.... thing... in check."
Do you get a new unholy abomination from this? Not ... really, you just get wings made out of bone that increase your damage.
Amal'thazad isn't stupid.
They're not making anything sapient during Legionfall.
I don't get your point? How does that help your argument
^
Why would they have the deathlord or whatever get the bodies, that is labor for the grunts.
Because game mechanics
In which, it proves that we are specifically getting the dead fel corrupted bits.
Do you see every class hall leaders training their soldiers?
Not actual allies as the only case we had that is well.
The Paladin Order Hall
and we failed in that one
The Dreamgrove has plenty members who are practicing, training, and meditating too. Even if the Archdruid isn't actively doing it.
But the Archdruid with the branch of G'hanir on the other hand, literally raises new treant troops from the soil.
In the Dreamgrove.
personally I think this whole argument is moot because blizz said maybe in the future but as of right now, its a no.
I never said they'd be added, lol. Just think there is lore justification behind it if needed.
But I am pretty sure there are soldiers training in Acherus as well Nile
Oh there always is. The only real issue is well.
They'd have to change around how the perceived idea of deathknight power levels work
We just don't see the body collecting part(well actually, is there that spot where we see dead bodies being raised still?)
Like we're so powerful as the PC DKs because we were made in the image of arthas.
Hence why we keep getting LK abilities
Not particularly, game mechanics are game mechanics.
In lore, we may not be as strong
But game-play wise
I'm still just talking about the lore
As I said, they'd have to change around how DKs are either made, or how their power is tied to explain how non-third gens are as powerful as third gens lorewise.
I mean Im still betting that in an xpac or two, bolvar will be involved and we'll get a new DK starting zone
Maybe
but that's in the future. If they do write a way around it, I'd be happy to read it.
I hope the new starting zone is as "evil" as the old one though.
wdym, "evil"
A lot of things hint as Bolvar becoming more active
uh
arson
we go off and slaughter civilians
who are fleeing us
Men, women children
that might be evil subjectively
all die at our hands.
arson
slaughtering civlians
stealing horses
feeding villagers to ghouls
raining down hell via frostwyrm
We even go out of our way to turn living miners into undead ghouls
and on the topic of evil, i might dislike Sylvanas but i'm not going to say that she's evil
For the ghoul pile
the real thing that makes the player DK evil is choosing the baby horse to steal
DKs are totally evil until the quest you come to that makes you question your choices, the "kill this person you once knew" quest.
That's when the narrative starts to shift.
DKs aren't evil though.
They're just controlled by a madman until said choices
Well. Not entirely Arson.
I heavily suggest reading the Deathknight manga that's all about Thaussarian and his time as a DK
weeb
looks at the DK in BFA that just wants to imitate the whole "raising a red dragon" like you did for your mount. for shits.
everyone
seriously forgets they still have to hurt the living
He hits up on that evil side of the spectrum far more than one would expect and it's not at the Lich Kings behest.
Well yes it's a piece of WoW literature
that is in Manga form.
It's not a comic, it is manga.
yeah, its a manga
its classified as one
its based of of manga artwork styles.
there are multiple.
that are all canon.
Like Warcraft Legends.
and the Sunwell-related stuff with kalec too
its a pretty good piece too, considering the... quality of its counterparts
Another great series of manga that has a fantastic Deathknight arc in it
Legends was kinda hit or miss for some of the stories. But more hit than miss I'd say
hell the WoW manga stuff is the only place where we get certain DESIGNS for some major lore characters
when was it published?
years ago
it's not canon anymore then
Yes it is
You do realize that books do not become 'not canon' because of time
right?
yes
Nothing has contradicted Tharassian and Koltria's story. It is literally CONSTANTLY referenced.
but they do become not canon when it's been retconned
okay but they havent been retconned
None of the legends manga has been retconned
theyve been affirmed like four times
In fact
ok
nothing in Legends or the Warcraft class books is contested
and is instead built upon in game
Dude the entire "floating chick in the sunwell" thing is from the WoW manga
during said raid
yep
To actually understand why the fuck there's a floating chick in the Sunwell Plataeu raid, and why Kalec was so distressed over losing her due to her sacrifice---is literally all from the Sunwell Trilogy books.
the only literature of WoW that can be argued as 'retconned' is Stormrage
because half of it just doesn't happen in WoW
All that's happened to Stormrage is that it's turned into a more isolated event as per Chronicle's retelling of it now.
Versus something that affected the entire planet.
Was Maeiv slaughtering the highborne ever addressed?
That was Wolfheart, and sort-of.
She mentions that Jarod still came to her, even after she tried to kill him.
And Jarod states that she wasn't herself, that she wasn't in the right mind.
Which arguably, that could be a valid reason. (Reason, not excuse.)
Oh ok so they just gave her a pass.
Which I guess -maybe- is understandable
cuz she was still all. Not right in the head post-illidan
Due to losing everything her life became focused on becoming more manic and well, bloodthirsty can at least explain why she became so trigger-happy on Highborne.
And then later even Malfurion, Tyrande and her own brother Jarod.
by "floating chick" do you mean actual chick, or a female human
ok
ya
she is the embodiment of the Sunwell
all exlpained in the manga that came out I believe before the raid did
of the same name
that would be funny with an actual chick floating in there
the chick in the floating bubble above kil'jaden in the raid
thats her
and it was released before the raid
So yea. Kalec wanted to, and very possibly did, fuck the Sunwell
No matter -what- the human is it seems
Embodiment of pure energy, Embodiment of pure rage.
DUDE HE REJECTED HIS ACTUAL FUTURE CONSORT FOR AVEENA.
Aveena is no longer human tho isn't she
o
Aveena doesn't even actually exist anymore either, she remerged with the Sunwell.
Anveena
She just -looks- human because of Korialstrasz
Also the Sunwell manga had the -best- outfits for all the women of warcraft
Since she was an avatar that contained a latent part of the Sunwell's power that was protected, created, and sent off by Korialstrasz. Yeah.
For all intents and purposes of easily understanding: She was a construct that contained the Sunwell's last bit of energy.
Basically.
And basically implanted with a family to hide what she was.
oh and Kalec ran into dragon hunters and that's how dragon collars were made.
Dragon collars also are a nasty piece of work, because they prevent a dragon from shapeshifting back into their draconic selves.
Thus trapping them in humanoid form, aka making them easier to kill.
the bane of dwargun rpers everywhere
Also it kind of explains in a lot of detail as to why Dar'Khan Drathir is literally
the worst person
in quel'thalas's history.
He's also a cuck in that manga.
Literally, figuratively and metaphorically.
All at the same time
YEP.
My only hope is that we get to see more Legends support.
Cuz we saw that draenei girl in the garrisons as a recruitable follower.
dar'khan also is the only dude who's died the most by lore
arthas, anveena, lor'themar, and then us players kileld him
dude just keeps coming back and wont stay down
even after one of his deaths was a literal destruction of his body.
He feels like a saturday morning villain, acts like one and basically is one.
Honestly
I think he is the most powerful lore character out there
he's kind of great, tbh.
the one that can evade death
honestly i'd want an explaination as to how the fuck he could do that
since he's not demonic, really.
he's always been more tied to necromancy than anything fel-related
I bet you its a soul gem
(maybe actually give us more shadowlands lore in the process)
Soul infinity gem reference when
warpcasters? oh that sounds fun
oh my
NEW Stage 7: Narrow Escape
Escape Gorgrond through the Rift to Azeroth.
so the Maghar are on the run?
No....huh.
At least not in the broadcast text last week
I still don't see mag'har stuff
am I blind
lol, its really called Tyranny of the Light
Exarch Orelis...
Was he a character in WoD? Anyone know?
and honestly
to me, that sounds like they changed it from what we read last week
From only a small group to more
Nah I think people just took too much as fact from one sided text
its still defending a base, pushing back the lightbound, and buying time for the orcs to escape
Like, I feel like from the above scenario, most of the mag'har may leave?
Instead of just geyarah and the volunteers
I mean depending on where theyre spit out
geyarah might just be the one to travel to org
It seems we make a last stand at Hellsreach Citadel for some reason, while last week it looked as if we leaved peacefully, only with volunteers.
-is thinking too hard-
It was just text
No context
-shuts up-
Nah
I like this though
A nice, small build to start the week good
hold our appetites until tuesday.
you know, Im wondering if the final content patch means VO too
cause we still need things like saurfang, anduin and jaina
Also, I can say, it makes more sense for them to straight up lose the war with the lightbound
instead of "we're losing this war, so lets send troops to you guys and we'll stay here for some reason"
It does, you have a point there.
I am going to reread the text from last week
We have dialogue for returning to Grom and Geyarah volunteering to lead some volunteers to azeroth
Ya...
We even have dialogue of the portal opening and the final farewells, Grom saying he will talk to Draka of what Geyarah decided
Hm....perhaps as the soldiers are preparing, the lightbound attack and we all have to retreat.
But what does that mean of Draka and those in other garrisons
Grom will stay and die either because "honor"or to atone for what he did
RIP thralls parents, dead in two universes
yeah
Uther the Blightbringer pls
or Uther the Nightbringer
since I guess he would have strong necromantic powers if he were to be raised
Who is Stevan?
and I kinda wanted Draka to appear, oh well.
I am still conflicted by whether or not all the mag'har will come or not....will just have to wait and see
Perhaps they will even be playable in tuesday's build
I believe a small part will stay and die with honor
You'd think we would have dialogue if they are attacked and forced to go through the portal
But we don't
He's one of WoWheads dataminers
Oh, neat
I guess he found something interesting he has yet to share xD
I hope the scenarios become playable soon so we can see what the lore for mag'har is up to
new class dark paladins and the leader is Uther the Nightbringer
and instead of being followers of the holy light they are from the forgotten shadow

I mean I was assuming it'd be Forsaken shenanigans, not DK shenanigans
UNLESS
The faction war is a red herring for N'zoth
BUT
N'zoth is a red herring for Bolvar
next up on possibly true fake screenshots: wrathion saves a group of relic hunting kids
that screen isn't fake if its what I think it is, its the quest chain in Drustvar saved by an old fart

Ive been having so much fun with these
port, was wrathion the pc you?
It seems like Draenor is going to fall to the Lightbound.
@uncut vault
The Mag’har escape through the portal to Azeroth.
I hope it happens
maybe maghar are the ones to rebuild taurajo with the draenei, who knows
But what of draka and the other garrisons?
Orcs can never seem to win when those goats are involved
Ima have to sleep and find out the news tomorrow lol
untextured map of the chamber or finished not really looking at it too hard, also the cut scene with magni is also in now
orcs literally made a road out of the goats, what do you mean they don't win when they're involved?
this is beautiful
ur beautiful

ok so it looks like rhonin is in the jaina scenario of the blighted lands
surely Uther too
pretty sure the uther stuff is gonna be for taelia
ya know, cuz anyone who didnt play wrath has 0 context
thats probably the best assumption
also
thank god for the earth elemental update
they were the only ones who hadnt changed
their chests kinda look like croissants
still surprised as the horde you have no contact with the san'layn
^
there can be agents of sylvanas we dont know
there most likely are
or the fact Lilian voss has a valkyr at her disposal is a bit questionable
lot of interesting things on the horde atm
@uncut vault that gnome stuff is cool
I mean its more Nathanos has it at his disposal, seeing as he is on the ship with her
lilian probably just has permission from him/sylvans to use her
Maybe that ball thing with the door is what makes you into a CYBORG gnome
from the dialogue in the campaign during Zeiling
its something sylvannas gives her apparently
But I am really growing to be a fan of Nathanos mainly because they seem to be setting up a really interesting Nathanos V Katherine conflict
I think its more like she has the authority to order her since the val'kyr should be something important for the mission in kul'tiras
maybe, but the zeiling dialogue makes her seem like shes struggling perhaps
well yeah the valkyr are going to be important
they have several bodies
isnt one of them jaina's bro?
i mean
they can raise him
and the other bodies
Yeah
I mean in they sort of flat out hint at it there is more of a proudmoore fued brewing
and its nice to se Nathanos go from punching bag to doing something
i want to see more of his relationship with sylvanas
it would bring her down to earth a bit more
I am interested in more nathanos, but also Zeiling he is set up to be really interesting
with dabbling in void magics in addition to tide sage magics
They told us they will be focusing on the story about Thrall as well as other characters
But we haven't seen anything about him yet
Why?
Maybe we will see him more in the end-game?
seems like they cut him out of the voljin story so far
So Orelis IS an old character
yeah
voljin story seems to focus on rokhan right now
which is good
i dont want any thrall ever again
his story is done
he has a family
he can be retired
You reject our Lord and savior Green Jesus?
we've got Brown Jesette now
The snug harbor tavern has an interior now!
its the tavern that taelia shows you in the intro and prior to one of the builds in the past week, it was just a closed door
mustve been this recent build since its empty except for an innkeep and a cat
they changed the dock a bit too
theres a stairway down from the countmaster to the boats and dark iron forge area
Huh
Still cool though
Lots of little changes in Boralus that increase navigation, but also make the city look nicer and feel more alive
maybe there's some way we can bring Voljin back and make him warchief again
new elementals bois 😮 http://wow.zamimg.com/uploads/screenshots/normal/734308.jpg
these 2 look especially good and funny, inquisitor Snek
https://i.imgur.com/IgC07Tf.png https://i.imgur.com/2c3h732.png
Inquisitor Snek will burn the heretic sneks
Aw, not much else datamined. I guess they did say it was small
We still thinking tuesay for the last large build?
I wonder why they released a small buiod so close
The stuff accidentally shipped with this build is likely most of it for tuesday's build
Don't get your hopes up too much
It could also just be a trickle in and it won't all hit at once.
Looks like Darkshore will have an updated map
makes sense.
Alliance is still missing a bunch of content
since theyre updating Tirisfal they'd update Darkshore.
why alliance quests soo bugged:(
because they worked on horde first
^
inb4 the sanlayn were added just to give the alliance someone who isnt important to kill
we didn’t even get to kill the real High Examiner
@hollow dock reeeeee
There's no horde bias remember that guys
not evil
Looks like we're going to kill the Blood Prince at some point
so ye, as I suspected
If they were an allied race, I can’t see them killing off their leader
I might be wrong.
But if they’re not an allied race, they added a new character just for us to kill them, so we couldn’t take out a more known Horde character.
lol
and yet Horde get to raise old characters, get Derek, etc etc... 🤔
HO HORDE BIAS GUYSE
horde get to raise a character who's literally never been anything but a corpse for daelin's charcterization
m u h b i a s
I like how that's the one thing you pick on when we say the horde has clear bias
Thoughts on Patch 8.1 or 8.2?
8.1 will have a new dungeon and a mini raid
Location changes tho?
Alliance war campaign in 8.0 will probably end with us killing Drevan imo
with what we have seen from the war campaigns is one story line per zone
in Vol'dun you fight the gobling from the reliquary
nazmir you kill a dark ranger and chase dreven
and in zuldazar you help dark iron dwarves with excavations
so I doubt the alliance will kill dreven
since he escaped from nazmir when you ambush him and as secretive as the san'layn are he will be in a safe location for a long time
Do anyone know if monks are gonna be able to wear one handed swords?
beta key giveaway
wear? you mean transmog Pakov?
they cant mog 1-h swords?
how many keys are being given away in Week 1 Giveaway?
The post says so?
wow nice that's awesome! 😄
I'm not sure how many they mean when they say "thousands", but I'd assume 5k+.
chamber of the heart was changed recently
it has big azerite veins out of all of the walls and stuff
an you absorb the wounds differently now too
Has any of the dialogue from the maidens been changed or updated Peach?
or manaless whichever sees it first. :p
Oh not those, I was talking about the corrupted/damaged maiden in the Heart area
that was changed long ago
I hope the dwarf and elf from Fiona’s cart are in BFA
They were in the paladin order hall
Yeah I hope the faction war hasn't split the Paladin Pals 😦
The true tragedy of war
they were both Neutral and not on the alliance or horde
so why would they suddenly now choose a side?
Alliance found their gypsy cart and forced them to join the war
I mean the whole point is the petty tribalism of the faction war tearing apart people who had worked side by side five minutes earlier
@hollow dock no new VO from maiden
Ty peach.
and by VO it is her dialogue windows right? I'm curious on if they're changing that or adding in more facility names.
No problem!
@hollow dock Interestingly, Tarenar joined the Alliance with his best friend Gidwin.
Officially or just because he appears in Alliance only quests @terse patrol ?
He’s hostile to the Horde.
So
@Echopapa#9492
hostile in WoD.
And considering Fiona is in Kul Tiras now, I assume they are too.
I definitely want to see them about. Small things like that are always my jam
I wanted Fiona's Caravan set up in my Garrison after recruiting her 😛
just saw the tailoring cloaks. Weird how they put threat reduction equip effects on a few of them. With the exception of Skitterish, I don't understand the purpose of these in today's game.
pve?
dungeons maybe
could be useful in raids with two tanks if you need faster switches
Except that tanks dont lose threat outside of invulnerabilities
and yea skitterish is the only place that'd ever be useful
so since the sneks are getting updated, any images of them with collars, hoods, or plate helms?
or the dreaded (hilarious) diving helm?
they havent been updated much
most helmets still dont work
lots of them still just float above or inside their heads
on that subject @dense plover @sharp bluff https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/8j96ak/on_the_topic_of_sethrak_helms/ THESE ARE NOT THE CURRENT MODELS,AS SETHRAK DONT SUPPORT PLAYER GEAR, these are "how they could work" without straying from the "geoset" system blizz uses for all races
hmm interesting, the plate works well
but the hoods are by far the worst thing I have seen
honestly the Tauren version of the diving helm would have worked better
but still not to shabby for no player model
well the tauren version would have worked "better" aestethically, but the reason ppl make fun of the tauren version,is because there is no "opening" where the eyes should be
the threat redux effect is a flat -15% passive.
so if you were to apply some logic, that tauren is completely blind inside that helmet
Would have adored these cloaks 10 years ago but idk why they're just going into the game now when tanks have a 1000% threat gen modifier
roughly able to see sideways
yea like the only thing I can think of is maybe a skitterish week
that's when it's useful
maybe for the new island npcs?
if they act like players, threat could be less effective
to an extent
just a thought though
As someone who lost a +17 skittish keystone due to a bursting fury warrior and is still mad, I am wholly in support if this
anyone on beta can take a SS of the login screen?
there isnt one
its probably going to be added tomorrow
always check wowhead
if it isnt there or mmo-champ, it isnt a thing
oh ok
I want to hear the new login song dude
I trust de loa more then de Naaru at dis point doh
doin a pretty great job so far. Horde is more diverse than ever, she got great value on selling old property, bought a few gorgeous boats in return
Vol'jin: Da loa victory etc etc
Bwonsamdi: hysterical laughter
The war's working out great for Dead Boi so far
imagine if bwomsamdi was the gravekeeper from Heroes of the storm
voljin: Da loa bla bla
bwomsamdi: MORE SOULS...FOR THE MINES!
Shaman: Hex (New) Transforms the enemy into a wicker mongrel for 60 sec. While hexed, the victim is incapacitated, and cannot attack or cast spells. Damage may cancel the effect. Limit 1. Only works on Humanoids and Beasts. 30 yd range. 1.7 sec cast. 30 sec cooldown.
we're totally getting kul tiran shamans
do it blizz
shamans and druids used to be those "select few" race options
i dont know how i feel like if everybody and their entire family tree
gets them
Troll Paladins at least make sense lol
I mean sure ride sages
But aren’t they all crazy?
dubiously earth too, the tidesage bosses have an odd green aura around their feet
@sharp bluff i trust them both slightly more than i trust
Sylvanas
and that's zip
theyre also putting in work to separate shamanistic water and arcane water, and with the exception of a scroll they use, tidesages use shamanistic stuff
which the scroll doesnt seem to be theirs anyways
the azerite reforgers un zandalar, anyone knows where exactly?
Looking forward to the big build on Tuesday hopefully
I’m fine with the Queen stepping down Murd, but not them killing her without explaining the loa thing
Plus if they kill her, 5 gold on us spending a raid rescuing her
hi how i can be premuim wowhead discord?
@sudden cedar If you're Premium on Wowhead you can check #welcome-rules for instructions to gain it on our Discord server.
how do you reforge your gear?>
is warfronts can be tested in game?
Nope
The transmog or bow
I think he means the animation
the combat idle doesn't exist for hunters outside of Surv.
https://i.imgur.com/gnQPf3a.png abnyone else unable to complete this?
I try to press the grenadesbut it says you cant open that
lots of war campaign stuff is super broken
a lot of it will probably be in tomorrows build
wannttt
I will be soooo dissappointed of it aint tomorrow
idk, im usually a very positive person, but every day i play the beta i get more and more nervous about the launch in 3 months
i am sure though that once they are done adding content they will be able to fix the current content much faster.
I mean. You're aware there's a new build coming in just a few days
and you're worried about the content that's only now broken?
I know there is a build coming but Boralus seems very much a ghost town in most of it, and there is still a fair amount borked. guess i just have to wait to see how much tomorows changes fix.
I wouldn't worry until I hear "This is the final build we're loading up before launch"
THEN worry about all the broken stuff in game IMO
('course that doesn't mean dont report anything. Report everything and anything)
bug fixes and class balance are what the entirety of the final stages of beta are for
Also, boralus is very much populated now
there's bustling common areas, and less bustling noble areas
which is good, balance between setting and RP
yeah but i mean like around the keep there is literally 1 guard.
also i dont exactly like that there is hostile mobs in the city.. means very few people will RP there... Cause lowbies will insta killed from a mile away
The keep is covered in guards? lol, the training area and the entrance is covered. The only area that needs work is the channel, which is still WIP and has no assets at all except the statues it just got
Hm....the next patch included the final one with new content yes?
In that case it should he pretty big......we thinking the maghar scenario may be playable?
I dont think the recruitment scenarios will be, no
same as the original four, probably saved for launch
Final one? what
I just want to see the context of the maghar scenario e.e
See whats up there
And all the stuff for launch is supposedly ready from that dev tweet?
No? They said they finished -designing- it.
Designing and it's implementation/creation are very separate.
An example would be the fashion industry. A designer can finish his line's designing but not be ready to push out the line for several more months as he gets the dresses to match the blueprints
this is the last content build, meaning little to no more assets will be added
asset placement and quest fixes are still going to be tinkered with
What porter said
any terrain glitches and bugs will be the focus of fixing over the next several months
the only thing they need to get in is the final class changes, the teldrassil stuff, and any final prepatch stuff
once thats in, itll get tested a bit, then the prepatch part will head to ptr
but the beta will continue
@uncut vault Was it ever confirmed that Drust are Vry’kul?
not yet, about to do that story again on alpha to see if their models got changed
so far they still are separate
though theyre REALLY obviously just vrykul standins in an area that they didnt want to reuse vrykul
They're clearly dead vry'kul.
they arent, the drust were living
Nowadays their leader is undead, but thats with the Thros stuff
yes
I think they were Vry'kul, or an offshoot.
Died.
And became the Drust as they are.
Spirits inhabiting wicker golems.
I mean, we already know they were living, and drust already
they could be a vrykul offshoot but when alive, they were drust
So anything about the largness of some Kul'tirans?
What about the theory about them being half-drust
Vry'kul don't die
Seems its just a variety thing
But that is a big variety, lol
They said they're not a separate race, they're just a different body type for flavor and diversity
they drust are definitely not vrykul
gorak tul's model is what the drust looked like
theyre definitely placeholders
Giant bearded men.
maybe theyll update tomorrow
Sound like vry'kul.
Their concept art looks a lot like a Vrykul, and they use Vrykul placeholders, and the Drust king himself uses Vrykul animations, but as Peach said he looks very different, closer to a White Walker from GoT
They're clearly Vry'kul who developed a Celtic culture of sorts.
Their body paint looks very much like the blue paint of the Celts
they arent
yeah they arent vrykul
thats even less like vrykul than gorak tuls model
they do look like them tho
One could still imagine they became all blue (death magic) and tree-like after they started going full death magic in their studies
its possible
If you really insist, that is
but saying they are dark vrykul is wrong
Agreed
they are placeholders
and the ruins are because they arent going to remake everything
also sure they could be descended from them
or they couldve developed a similar culture independtly
OR
theyre trying to save time by not making assets for something that almost isnt used
What is so hard to believe that the large Kul Tirans have Drust blood?
suspension of disbelief
The NPCs even say
they dont
whatever they actually "are" they look really cool. Almost remind me of norse/viking
@terse patrol That's a separate discussion.
theyve only been there 2k years
That the large Kul Tirans are from freaking Drustvar
<_>
Land of scary giant men of old
people living there just happen to be really big now
Totally no relation.
They explicitly said they're not a separate race, they're just a different body type for flavor and diversity. And yeah at Blizzcon they said they're big and burly because of seafaring and monster hunting.
large kul tirans arent just from drustvar
@jade basalt European humans are still human, but have Neanderthal DNA.
yeah, like 1%
And Neanderthal and 'European humans' are both Homo
AAAAAAND
😉
other way around
Except we don't know they are Vrykul
genetics doesnt really work when we have magical curses involved
I would assume everyone has a percantage of neanderthal dna since we all came from them
no
thats not how evolution works
homo sapiens sapiens and homo sapiens neanderthalis existed at the same time
they shared a common ancestor
but people of european descent have dna fragments that show interbreeding occured
right so if they shared a common ancestor wwe all has a percentage of that same dna
They are just a different body type, just like there's thin humans, normal humans, and burly humans. I don't know why this is so hard to accept, I mean it wasexplicitly stated by the devs, but people still prefer their headcanon / conspiracy theories it seems. Old Hillsbrad had the same thin, normal and fat humans and nobody thought they came from giants or Vrykul or whatever.
no
they have unique chunks of dna each
some is common, some isnt
europeans have pieces that other people do npt
some parts of asia show people bred with a different homo sapiens
and native americans have another different group of dna fragments
but thats unrelated to what we are discussing
back on topic, vrykul could be related to drust
but we have no evidencce of the sort
using placeholder models or skeleton rigging as evidence is incorrect
since that would mean witches and fallen arakoa share genetics in wow lore
Reminds me DNA tests what paid "good white guys" for clarify how much they are pure 😂
Btw: anyone know what is on beta equal profesions skillz witch compare "f2p cap 100"? And if smth MOAR is unlocked for us "free plebs"?
what?
WoW has no pay to win caps
at all.
Anywhere
They'll never introduce such a shoddy system into the game.
also, wow isnt f2p
and it never will be
its the most successful p2p mmo on the market
If for some reason you believe buying your sub time with gold marks you any lower than any other player, you'd also be mistaken. Sub is a sub, no matter how you acquired the time.
I think that covers all bases.
I mean f2p 20s twink comunity
The only pay cap is "Buy the game ya lazy bum to continue"
