saberon were requested as playable and people miss the saberon talent for druids in wod
not 2 people say they want on a reddit comment
"i want tuskarr" when we know 5 people in total are actually gonnna play it
majority will remain human/elf
“Majority” of players are gonna play whatever IV/WH tells them is the “best” race for their class
idk about thaat one
There’s a lot of players that play the things that are enjoyable to them and if they want to play X race instead of what’s “best” they do that
I think all the general populus want really is for their armour to fit on their character in a consistent and nice way
glares at tauren
and to be a pretty human/elf
people like the elves because they are cool, not because they are elves
if the elves were not cool they would not play them
some people want to look pretty
majority do
eh, vulpera not being dead last says otherwise as well
void elves not being dead first says otherwise to your point lol
i see people praising the earten and their story, but nobody is flocking to the second ugly stone dwarf
people like vulpera because they're a cute race in a faction with limited cute picks
therefore all the people who like it will go to it
yeah cause most people dont want to look like ugly monsters
inflating its numbers since it's not distributed
horde's issue isn't what the races are literally it'swhat they are functionally
normal trolls are kinda awful if you want your armour to look good
also their female skeletons are nigh unused by the playerbase
it's a combination
correct me if im wrong but didnt elves quickly overtake what people played on the horde side
no
blood elves are not cute
because they were a pretty elf race in a sea of ugly monsters
you genuinely cannot argue that everyone is driven by cuteness lmao
when its the main thing driving character creation you can
I'm literally looking at playable race stats rn
gnome, vulpera, pandaren are all down there
or middle of the pack
humans are top of alliance. Blood elves top of horde. I'm going to say that the 2 main things for average players is: Looking consistently cool
pandas and gnomes are bad
the reason those 2 races trend to the top is because humans are.. humans, we project onto them easier
so people know HOW to look cool as a human
blood elves are the most human like race, on horde, have a cleaner aesthetic that people can project more onto as well as have a lot of lore
if you're playing a troll, you are stuck playing a troll and not everyone likes that aesthetic
yeah
it's harder to work with
a blood elf is a cleaner slate
it's not about looking cute for everyone
cute/pretty/human/elf looking
if blizzard released a new race that's just a human/elf with some variation, people would be happy
i for one, am waiting for cat girls 😈
hopefully not something like this
that just looks like a furry suit humanoid
I mean even look at haranir, they’re kind of just trolls that are palatably pretty looking for elf fans

And people are chomping at the bit for them lol
The male nelf rig is pretty awful so I dunno about that :P
some of the animations are awful sure but the standing pose and the way armour sits is fine
which is what most people care about, even blizz themselves
otherwise they'd fix some of the racial melee animations for other races as well lmao
even blood elves have some atrocious ones that got messed up in an update
not sure if it's fixed now but for an entire expansion in SL they reverted frost strike to using the racial animation for blood elves where they jump up inthe air and do a flip instead of the race agnostic melee strike one
so you'd spent the entire fight doing flips with that awful janky animation
blood elves in general have some pretty awful animations for melee, especially anything that's 2h
Tbh the standing pose for night elf males is like the worst part
Its so goofy
Already have kul tirans
I hate that I want 11.1 info
Nerub'ar has had one of the most boring plots in a long time.
idk about boring - simple sure
i thought it was plenty compelling
just simplistic
standard for first raid typically
I do
Maybe I'm just tired of paranoid queens with bickering courts.
Also, there better be some denouement in 11.0.5 that's not announced
Haha true this is the third now right?
Elissande did it better.
10x better
Denathrius too
I didn't like Denathrius
I know a lot of people do
I won't get into it here
The raid had some great encounters though
I felt his lore kind of ruined the dreadlords for one
So far the end of Nerub'ar is just too sudden.
Yeh, that's often the way with first raid tier though
Story should gain some momentum in 11.1 and 11.1.5
Who the hell wants to wait 8 weeks or more to get the short scene showing what's next
More cos 11.0.5 doesn't seem to progress the story at all
I harp on this a lot but Blizzard cannot be afraid of depth in the msq.
Should get a bit of movement in January with 11.0.7
They just aren't good at deep storytelling period
They are when they let their quest writers actually write!
Some side quests have some sometimes, but they're few and far between
Like the malygos quest chain was fantastic
In DF
But no, they make the raid first and story second
I think Ansurek was an alright villain, for the simple fact that Xal'atath stated. "Just a roadblock, a means to an end."
She wasn't great, but she wasn't...

You know who.
The best character blizz have done in recent years imo is Bwonsamdi
He was soooooo good
I wish his plot wasn't cut short.
Yeh. More stuff with him and mueh'zala would have been cool
I am so mad at the perpetrators of the assaults getting Shadowlands cut short.
I am so mad Kel'Thuzad didn't get his own raid. Actually, every zone should have had a raid.
I was robbed of a double bridge boss of Helya and Mueh zalah and I'll never let that down.
Devos for Bastion, Kel'Thuzad for Maldraxxus, Mueh'zala or Gorak Tul for Ardenweald, Denathrius for Revendreth, Sylvanas for The Maw, Jailer for the final patch.
Imagine p3 of them both fighting at once
Six raids? Doable.
I was robbed of Thrall being an absolute dummy who can't keep a weapon for two expansions. But he got Dra'gora back.
Just chucks it at Helya and she isn't even wounded.
No, I mean this. It would be such a funny gag if Thrall just named every weapon he got his hands on, and then immediately lost it.
They so obviously cut an entire patch and it sucks. Cause I did like the Shadowlands.
Never have I felt more home than the first quest of Maldraxxus
Oh yeah, Maldraxxus probably had the best intro out of all SL zones.
You're just chucked into the arena.
Objective: survive
Shadowlands had a few of the right ingredients but they mixed and cooked it wrong and threw in some strange flavours that didn't fit the existing wow lore, and even some of the existing lore suddenly tasted really strange
I'm not sure if it needed more or less salt tbh
I dont think the nerubians were boring (their culture is hella cool actually), but I do think it lacked the same oomf that a similar plot like Suramar did just due to how little time we spend in Azj-Kahet for main story by comparison
I feel like I know the three main nerubian leaders way less than I knew Thalyssra, Valtrois, and Oculeth, because their stories are put into separate reputation campaigns after their brief few MSQ quests during leveling
I'm invested in the culture of the nerubians, but the only character I'm really invested in is Arak'nai, due to her relationship with Neferess
I think the Nerubians themselves are great, the raid plot is boring
Mostly cause we've done this exact "gather a revolution to topple a leader" 3 times now
Azj-Kahet is very much Suramar part two, but oh my god, it's spider people!
Its unlike suramar cause you can fly in their damn city and it nullify all of the guards mechanicd and stuff and doesnt feels like a proper city in the end.
The bastion of nerubian forces allows us to enter in and out and murder everyone inside like there is no tomorrow with a dull sense of threat
Ah, nostalgia: I loved Shadowlands and the Covenants lore 🤩
Just the main plot was very meh
About TWW, very curious to the next big patch
I think it will be Rootlands
I guess the real name will be Deepgrove, cause we got some Deepgrove references there and there ( like DeepGrove rose and stuff )
Yeh I'd said this before but flying should have been disabled in and around the capital imo
At least at the beginning , and then you'd unlock pheromones to trick aerial defenses through renown
Sure. I think they missed a trick not having be like surumar in that way. Would have been a cool open world endgame location. Maybe mads the rumours slightly harder too and have them five champ gear in vault if you did enough
I think the weirdest thing is that, unlike suramar, you entered the city with already a tons of allies everywhere, and felt that the hostile population were a minority in all of Azj Kahet. It miss the first introductions steps
Yeh it didn't feel like a threatening place. I don't understand people when they said they managed a surumar 2.0. The city itself is cool sure, but the mechanics and gameplay loop kind of negate any threat or sense of danger
A bit of lost potential imo because the design of the place is really good, as is the nerubian culture and lore
yeah I had a blast searching all the lore books with the nerubian deciphering potions
Those books were really interesting
I really do hope that, in TlT, nerubian of Azj Kahet will be fully fledged allies and they will come with us to try to retake Azjol Nerub and we will explore the city with them and try to rebuilt it
Following the trail and the story of Anubarak and how the city fell, cleaning it of the last scourge remnants , and ending up finding lost lore stuff
Totally
Likewise the earthen should have a decent role to play in TLT
(and gnomes/goblins with tinkers please hehe)
And undermine patch this expansion could do a good job of tying goblins to the overarching plot
We'll have our goblin share soon in the next months I guess. A equivalent* of Mechagon, but horde sided
With a probable mega dungeon
I hope so, but I think they'll get a decent focus throughout the trilogy, especially in TLT
Personally I hope undermine is the full 11.1 zone
Mechagon on steroids
na I think it'll be 11.2
I would have thought it's too "side story - ish" as a closer. Imo k'aresh, or the heart of Azeroth, or the deeproot make more sense as expansion closers
We'll have to wait and see in the next small patches
Goblin thing could be helping them overthrow gallywix so they can help us reach the core of the planet
usually they wait for the middle patch to introduce the next steps
Meanwhile gallywix in league with xal
we still don't have a link to where they want to go
Yep agree
I think Gally will be in league with Xal and Etherals ( or brokers )
Will be fun disposing of him hopefully once and for all
He'll probably end up as a monster mutated by Xal black blood
We'll have void goblins
They haven't reused the Therazane skeleton in a few expansions, we're overdue
Pfft
hmm
so for 2 weeks people can restore characters again
on a daily basis
I wonder if the 15th could be the patch even earlier than expected.
Part of me believes it's something they rolled out 'cause one of the devs' kids deleted all their characters.
I mean if you think critically, if it was for something petty like this, doing an in-house personal data recovery would be a lot easier and faster than releasing a feature that has to be supported
They did it because you couldn’t restore character since pre patch
The features been around for ages, and mostly it's just to reduce the workload for support. It was just disabled for a bit cause presumably it needed updates for warbands
Idk who youre talking to, but no one said it didn’t exist before xD
"rolled it out as some blizz's devs pet project" very much implies its new and not a long standing feature that was temporarily disabled
Its because they brought it back and removed the 7 day cooldown temporarily
Hey
Do we have any idea what dungeons will be in season 2 of TWW mythic rotation ?
I mean the returning ones
Speaking of, how long does a season usually last ? Back in my day seasons weren't a thing
about 6 months
Thanks !
The only dungeon I'm saying has good odds to be back in s2 is Motherlode.
So Undermine will be mixed up with the DeepGrove zone ?
My inch is that Undermine will be a 11.x.5 content, maybe a Megadungeon
Just a mega dungeon would be seen as a flop
I'm still better on 11.1 is undermine and 11.2 is Roothome and the raid is the manifold
There's apparently an interview somewhere that says the TWW patches stay underground.
It was referenced whenever I wonder about Avaloren.
I mean it is the underground expansion
Dunno why we’d go to Avaloren. Feels like it’d be an expansion all to itself
I’d imagine we’ll see Avaloren in 14.0
i hope so
lets go to an unexplored area of azeroth with new stuff
I just find it hard to believe we don't open a portal to a massive light army before 14.0
Jaina is the strongest mage of this age that's not crazy at the moment and has skill in extracting memory. Velen surely would be curious about an Azerothian getting visions of prophecy from the light and has spaceships
So it just makes zero sense to me when fighting the void we don't go ring them up.
Hopefully Undermine IS the zone
And deepgrove is either .1.5, a mega dungeon, .2, or not at all
That’s fair but keep in mind the Hallowfall expedition IS the task force sent by the empire to fight in Renilash
Not saying you’re wrong tho
no, they were there to set up a forward base and open portals back to the Empire
"I was a mere apprentice when we set out, over a decade ago. My masters were core to the mission. They were to set up portals back home whenever we arrived at our destination. That way, we'd have a steady flow of supplies and reinforcements."
Yes. But the Hallowfall expedition is the bulk of the fighting force
Faerin says: We followed our emperor's sacred vision across the sea -- to fight in Renilash, the final battle between light and dark.
That’s not to say that they won’t ever find a way to bring some arathi through, but I personally can’t see Avaloren making an appearance in full in Midnight or The Last Titan
And frankly I think it would be a waste. They’re supposedly this massive technologically advanced empire. Relegating them to a patch zone is a massive waste
agree
its also a huge ass continent
we might see some more ships show up for renilash (in midnight)
but emperor and home territory is post TWSS imo
not the bulk of the empires fighting force. i seriuosly doubt that. it's more a like dedicated force put togeher for a special mission. sure it took some of their best fighters, but its probably a tiny % of their overall force
Yeah you’re right. More like a crack elite task force
an empire isnt gonna send the bulk of their solders to the otherside of the world. theyd have no way to keep the peace
this is the final battle
the light fanatic emperor ain't missing it
especially when the void prophecies include his crown
and the wiki is definitely extrapolating some from stuff that wasn't exactly said
I’m not fully against them showing up, I just doubt we’ll be going to avaloren in the world soul saga
I know, just feels extremely off
Like the lore doesn't make sense unless you completely ignore things
I understand
Renilash in general is really weird
Because we have the old man anduin story, the one where he’s leading everyone and the dragons, and now the arathi story
the comic has been declared a "possible future" not the future
I personally really wanna see the one with Anduin leading everyone. I love Anduin, and I want to see him on dragon back with Wrathion leading the charge
It would just be so cool imo
Sure but it even being a "possible future" means it's "possible" renelash isn't the final battle between the light and the void
Otherwise that future can't exist
Except we've been spoiled that Midnight deals with the void for good
Which would mean the Anduin thing is an impossible future
we've long wondered if he gets aged up somehow
people thought he would be white haired after Shadowlands
So you think that comic could take place during midnight?
Yeh otherwise it's just strictly non canon, because how the hell does something like renelash go unconsidered lol
Basically just conflicting storylines. One has to die
Likely the Anduin thing
different writers want to do their own thing
Yeh but continuity should take priority
the future has no continuity
That's a pretty nonsensical statement in relation to storytelling
This is the final battle according to the light and the shadow. But we know it's not the case since there will be something after in the Last Titan 😄
My guess is that this " final battle " will just be the end of the light and the void as we know it and both will merge in harmony and will work in tandem after that, which will displease some zealot or X'era who might still try to stirr trouble in the background after that.
Enter Avaloren expansion with the Arathi
All we know is we deal with the void for good
<@&299347348847329281> Any mods in the house to take care of this account?
thank you!
well we know its not possible. Without light there is no darkness, and without darkness there is no light, so we can't get rid of the void somehow.
if we weaken the void signiciantly though, the light may start becoming overpowering
and that's probably what they're thinking of doing for the next antagonist
after TLT
Probaly want the same amount of light and void.
Let's just get rid of the void AND the light then
we'd still have a few elements left, I'm sure it'll be fiiiine
/s
No way they let AU Grommash and Yrel away
AU grommash is dead
debateable is Yrel is alive
considering that AU was basically shrinking
but could have also just been the light dominating that timeline
This won't work. The universe as we know it would collapse into chaos, likely ceasing to function in any meaningful way.
Moreover if the " Shadow " is banished, then all the Naaru that can fall into void state will just turn into void at some point and void won't be banished anymore. There will be some kind of trick by the end of Midnight and I think the keyword is harmony. The crown was Amirdrassil, life and death united, we will maybe have " vision of Harmony " or some stuff like that with Shadow + Light together at some point
He is pressumably dead, we never got the confirmation
They were being overrun, Geya rah and Eitrigg and player fled to MU Azeroth, dont know anything after
Could have been captured, since Lightbound captured and forced Orcs to turn to the light
Yeah, I was expecting them to have some presence but it's just Alleria really
While I do like the story so far, it's very character-driven. we're just following the troupe, with the only meaningful racial lore being about the Earthen, the Arathi humans and the Nerubians. Not sure it's going to change anytime soon if past expansions are used for reference
There is still Alleria, she is void elf.
Yeah, but it's just her personal story. There's nothing involving void elves as a whole
not a single velf npc anywhere in Khaz Algar
Maybe they will add something later. 🤔
I really like the Hallowfall story, and the max level campaign
But something so void-driven seems like a perfect match to include the V elves
Yea same it’s epic
The void elves are busy being tutored by umbric and locus
I think
This xpac isn't really their place to appear as much
We'll see them in midnight I'm sure
I wonder if grand magister rommath will be a notable character as well
He and umbric sort of parallel eachother
He better be
We will "unite" the elven tribes
I wonder if they will actually unite
Redeemed naga please
Even if it ends up just being they revert their forms and we get customization options to add naga like bits to elves
Anything
all 3 of them
There's a load of them
Probably more now that dalaran is gone
The void elves recruit from other High elves to pad their numbers
They're still more of an elite army work in profress with a bunch of trainees though
I cannot wait for void elf paladins though
Especially if they get armor and weapons to match
In fairness, despite the main villain this isn't actually the void xpac
I think blizz is trying not to overload us with void stuff too early before Midnight
and yknow, given Midnight is both the quel'thalas xpac and the void xpac, I think it's safe to expect to see them there haha
frustratingly, they still haven't really canonized a way for them to make more of the proper void elves yet
so all of the recruits at the moment are just regular elves wielding void like a priest might
That's why I'm pretty positive we aren't doing anything with the Ethereals this expansion
Heart of the Manifold would be an epic raid.
there are teased , I think Gallywix will be manipulated by whomever is the master of Ky'veza ( of cartel Ky ? ) and those will shows up in undermine as a side threat just to be part of the main threat in Midnight
It'll make sense to go to Ka'resh to see or understand what happened and how it can be countered
need them as a race
from PTR
converstion 1 ^^
conversation 2 ^^
goblin discovery of crystal on an island, and arathi preparing airships to investigate in secret
Interesting
it would make sense if beledar is just one of many parts of the manifold
i dont think the beledar has anything to do with the manifold
manifold is titan, beledar is light
Also feels like it rules out undermine but confirms goblin
i dont think it rules out undermine
island could be k'ezan. we don't quite know how its layered to undermine underneath
could be possible we travel across the sea in hallowfall to get to undermine
but yeh, goblins is for sure anyways it seems like, with the arathi and likely earthen joining too
yep
thats what i meant when i said we dont know how k'ezan is layered on top of undermind really
but it could easily be something else. seems goblins are a focus anyway
Beledar is definitely light but I feel like it's definitely connected to whatever the titans are doing. We got the lore drop in hallowfall that the planes aren't really as "pure" as we thought, light also includes fire, titan could also include light. Maybe everything mixes a bit. But also they needed light to directly counteract the void after the old gods were "defeated"
Things do mix but I don't think there's anything currently hinting at the titans being involved with beledar
It's not impossible ofc, we just have no evidence one way or the other
It seems like its been there some time. There's a lot of unanswered questions about what exactly the titans have been doing, and why everything has essentially decayed without them fixing it, but I still feel that if whatever it was doing wasn't connected to the titans they'd have removed it as well
Well that’s assuming Beledar has been there as long as the installation of the coreway has been there
And even then, what could the titans really do. They can’t pull it out, and if anyone tries getting close it just teleports you away
Beledar is sentient in some capacity
I wonder what kind of crystal the goblins found
Maybe a giant kajamite crystal
Source of their intelligence
My guess is a void-beledar
Isn’t beledars shadow basically already that
I mean one that's permanently void
Maybe it's a shard of beledar
Like an important part that got dislodged after the sword stab
And fell into an island in the underground ocean
Doesn't have to be in the surface
Light and order definitely both have their "do as we say or else"
Would that excite the gobos
Perhaps
I personally think it's kajamite related but I've nothing to base that on lmao
Also notable that Exploring Northrend randomly made it explicit that Odyn worships both the Titans and the Light
There's definitely strong overlap between them, I'm just not sure the beledar is specifically an example of that
Almost wondering if the mysterious crystal on this island is in the undersea, and is the same sorta crystal the Dark Heart is made of
I mean we still don’t rlly know how Neltharion made the dark heart, or if he found it
I actually take it back, def could be related to Beledar and maybe related to Ashbringer
Ashbringer was made using a dark crystal found on an orc warlock. The running understanding is that it was the remains of a dead naaru. But maybe it’s part of Beledar that got fragmented upon entry into Azeroth. Like this other crystal. We know the dark heart absorbs all kinds of magic. The crystal used to make Ashbringer absorbed a shit ton of light magic until it became light-ified
Just throwing out ideas idk
Would be cool to tie some paladin stuff in for sure
I thought Beledar was in Nagrand, but it’s Oshu'gun so it’s similar crystal. 🤔
Iirc the dark crystal is from the dark star, aka. the dead Naaru of Shadowmoon Valley. Might be recalling that wrongly doe.
thats the running idea. but they've never explicitly confirmed it
Sure, though it makes vastly more sense imo given that they had access to the dark star, there has been no hint of a change to this storyline from vanilla / bc and Beledar would have had to be void-shifted and the crystal would have had to remain that way in the meantime.
I’m not saying it’s specifically Beledar
If we’re going off chronicle, Beledar is supposedly one of thousands of crystals scattered across the cosmos
And if we assume it crashed into the planet, little bits and pieces breaking off on entry into the planets atmosphere is definitely not out of the question
Hell, while maybe not canon, season of discovery showed us a shard much like Beledar just lying around in a pool
Who’s to say they don’t just go “yeah orc warlock found the shard while they were warmongering across Eastern Kingdoms, and it has individually been void corrupted”
Furthermore we’ve already found what are likely shards of Beledar, independently void corrupted, in the fish questline in Hallowfall
I don't like how much sense this makes... Hmmm...
Valid point, will consider. Also, what if Beledar - and crystals similar to it - are just the light's variant of "hurl a bunch of shite into planets to turn them to light".
That’s a very likely theory
And definitely something that could be the case
And I could totally be just wrong bc I don’t really know what the point of Beledar and Ashbringer being related would be besides “oh cool iconic sword is related to this.”
That said I kiiiinda wanna see Shalamayne get a Beledar crystal implanted in it by magni. It could be cool
I've the inch that the Beledar has been there for a loooong time. And that's what's depicted in the mural of the Black Empire in Azj Kahet. It could even predates the black empire.
Chronicles states that in the early days of the cosmos " cosmic shard of light were ejected through space and ended up nurturing life on the worlds they ended up on "
I'd just really love some more details on the Light/Void-cycle of Beledar in relation to the Naaru - and it can certainly be done in a way, that it gives us the foundation of hope, even if everything is plunged headfirst in the Void in Midnight.
Wasn't there also a plot point from earlier, where a book or something with Anduin needed to highlight that he'd been using (or dealing with) void magic? There's certainly potential for a strong parallel there.
Now that I think of it.....
If we will see Sargeras and Illidan again, does that mean Eredar will unite with the draenei again?
Also Fel orcs, Fel elves, Fel corruption for draenei and all could be introduced for existing races
Perhaps a option for Nightborne and void elves to become DH, perhaps even Draenei
Return of the legion has soooo many possibilities
Feltotem Tauren
Gift for Modera? xD
Wooot! Is this new quest?? 😹
its a wq from legion iirc
Yeah its from Legion haha
iirc modera also had a line about khadgar being a silver fox during legion, but it got removed at some point
I want Khadgar marriage in game event then. 😌
Yessss
I still don't really trust his returning
We need that
Already sad we didn't get to see Thallysra or something and Lor'themar wedding
I hope this voice actor will still be able to stay with us. I heard he is very old.
At least not in game
Yeah he is like 70 years old
Oh 73
Oh shit he also voices Odyn
Yea it was about to happen in some celestial conjunction event when sun and moon align. 👀
Wait Khadgar actor voices Odyn?
What the hell? Haha 😂
almost everyone who does voices for wow does multiple characters
Me hearing aaron de paul in everything
But to me he will be socrethar forever
Not reinhardt
Or nzoth
Or tyr
Thats Darin depaul
I always hear Valkorion in him
Which is his best work imho
If you look at the interview with him and the SWTOR devs, he is such a wholesome guy
He's been at a couple blizzcons and he just seems to be having a genuinely fun time all the time
Yeah same with the SWTOR cantinas
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaq4MUick2Q just hear that voice daaaaaamn
SWTOR Voice Clips from Valkorion voiced by Darin De Paul
"You presume limits to my power. There are none" shivers, just shivers
He even voices a bunch of earthen as well
Its so funny to me that out of all the voices including literal end bosses and major lore characters I remember socrethar
Was his first role I think
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oywJglDXstw here you can see and hear him telling stuff about how he does stuff, he is such a geek
Take a listen as we talk about Valkorion, SWTOR, voice acting, and more with the legendary Darin De Paul.
Now that I think of it, since Elisande escaped during the DF story, will she play a part in the step to unite the elven tribes?
i hope so, i love Elisande
Same
Imo she wasn't really a villain
Just a leader who did the necessary for her people
Because lets be honest, she really didn't want to help the legion
her time visions literally showed it as her only option for her people to live
and as soon as we showed her that those visions were wrong by killing her, her echo was wayyy more cooperative
Yeah she is not a vilain as Kael thas was
In fairness, her big elf racism speech didnt exactly help sell her image as a victim of circumstance lol
can she travel in time?
what quest was this 🤔
so is she alive 🤔
yep
i don't know the specifics, probably someone with better memory can explain it hahaha
It was for the reviving tyr questline. she had a disc of tyr, we fought her for it back, she realized we were from the future and weren’t enslaved by the legion and figured that her visions of the future were wrong, and so she gave us the disc and just peaced out into another time way
I’d expect her coming back in midnight
During DF
During dragonflight no? The whole tyr questline. Getting the silver scale and empowering it
It's an alternate version of her though right
Yeah
Oh wait yes
I thought he talked about the quest with the khadgar dialogue I posted before
That one
You go into the past, and later try to convince her not to kill you, and get the disc. She then sees the future through you, and teleports to a random place and time
How do yall think they are gonna apporach delves in 11.1? Like, are they gonna introduce a couple new ones or a whole new slate of lets say 8 delves. That seems like a ton of work for 1 feature of the season.. but I feel people would get really bored playing the same delves for a whole 2 year expansion. Idk.. but I look at M+ and they always have a rotation of current and past dungeons. It will be intersting to see how they keep it fresh
My guess is 2-3 new delves
And then maybe new scenarios for existing delves
Ah yeah i was just thinking that.. new iterations on pre-exsiting delves
maybe a new "Zek'vir" delve too
Definitely a new boss delve - maybe new difficulties too
With new stuff added for seasonal mechanics
New “daily” missions would be my guess and of course the few new delves for the new part of the map
Yeah, idk about new tiers tho, they could just rebalance them to the new itmlvl cap
Much like how they do normal/H/M0 dungeons
For preexisting dungeons and whatnots
it would be too close to M+ but maybe they try and test out affixes to delves.. i feel that would make people mad though
i feel there is enough variety in mechanics already
but then leveling would be broken
and there would be no progression for a new season
they would have to reset your rank unlocks which would be difficult considering its tied to account wide achieves
We get a new follower every season, we will be “re leveling” our seasonal companion
1-3s for non 80s then they are scaled to the current season. Just like it is now
And we already sorta have affixes for delves with whatever the seasonal boss empowers. I mean sure most of them are jokes but it creates a variance when zoning in
I’m assuming you mean the delve tiers, we would be capped by gear not the natural “do 3 to unlock 4” which we had in the preseason/heroic week. Which they said we aren’t gonna have another heroic week for S2/3 so no reason to gate us and make us unlock them again. Or they could always just make another sub set of achievements and tie them to S2 or something
I'm enjoying delves and stuff
but m+ tuning just isn't fun
(turns out people don't want super hard group content for loot)
??? How so
It's been pretty chill for me
not if you're hard stuck a 619 cause the crest needed to upgrade your stuff are only dropping on mythic +9 with group requiring 620+ ilvl xD
They should next season have rewards go all the way up to delve 12 maybe even 14
Allow you to get those crests and myth gear
Same lol 😂
I don't want to wait next season to have fun, they should patch in Gilded crest dropping in +7 as soon as possible
As a player used to go as high as 3k rio, being stuck at 2k3 because I can't upgrade my gear since +9 are thrusted by early M+ player // Heroic - Mythic raider with 2k5+ RIO is more than frustrating
Its not a matter of M+ difficulty which are fine for me - and those difficulty should ease up as you upgrade your stuff , it's just a matter of reward being the same from +2 to +8 with more affixes and more difficulty as you increase your key level. It's a stupid design. Should you get champion and heroic gear, without gilded crests, those are the same. 619 ilvl.
use your own key. i see lots in group finder with lower rio score leaders for +9's
Which make you think I didn't do that? I had a +9 key and no healer or tank queue up for one hour and everyone left by boredom
:/
Why picking a group with 2k3 rating leader when you have group with 2k5 + rating guy ?
cuz ppl get 100+ applying
yeah because gilded drop only in +9 so all the 619 ppl are applying like madman and tank and healer pick the best looking group ^^
blizz should spread gilded to other key level to ease up this hellish situation
you could spam t8's for map piece or try raiding to upgrade some to get the 620ilvl so you can then get a group if thats a barrier? but tbf those crest are only needed to push high end group content and isnt really designed for puggin anyway. so best bet prolly to find a good group
Welcome to high ilvl ig?
Gear has historically been harder to get as you get closer to the cap
Even then crests aren't a huge deal since that's just for the little upgrade system thing
That's like a gear supplement system. Don't stress about it lmao
I ran M+ to high RIO from legion till now, never have been stuck so hard because of gear.
At the moment because of their system, Heroic Gear = Normal gear if you don't have gilded crest, which is absurd
Rio?
You're above heroic ilvl so there's not really much more to go
Like mythic is the cap xD
And that's very slow we're not even that far into this patch
Get some other toons going, try some of the other specs ig
Myth crests need to go back to +7 or +6 like they were in df
+7 would line up with challenger's peril which would be ok
everyone be shocked patch is the 22nd exactly like datamined
Yeah because people are silly and couldn’t believe a anniversary patch come out before Nov lol
it's also exactly 8 weeks
now Christmas is gonna delay 11.0.7 to the new year sadly haha
I'm a little bit surprised it didn't slip to the 29th but most of the content isn't anything dependent on TWW so it's probably a completely different internal team
I do wonder how soon we'll get the 11.0.7 ptr if it releases the first week of january
I had said all along it'd be early January
And 11.1 in early march
Warcraft direct early December when they always release their roadmap
Probably in first week of November
Maybesl second week
I really doubt they slide to March, maybe the season start, but patch I'm almost certain is in February
unless you have insider info to suggest a long season 1.
It's kind of semantics as it'd be very very late February if they managed to get it in Feb
Like 26th territory
Nope no insider info. Just had my own view on how i thought things would go
They don't need to wait until the direct to out 11 0 7 on ptr sincd it'll be out so early in the year and the direct imo is the evolution of the roadmap
It'll be about warcraft in 2025
Like the bit events across the year
I'm gonna say February 18th for 11.1
Maybe even some stuff beyond just wow
Season start the week after.
That seems very early, but yeh that's the absolute soonest it could come
I expect min 2 weeks after that, maybe 3
nah, it'd already be longer than DF season 1
Aye but there's the anniversary raid and we don't know what .0.7 entails
x.x.7's didn't last very long in DF, and if 11.0.7 is Jan 7th, 6 weeks after is Feb 18.
PTR already has the end date of the anniversary being like January 6th.
Its possible, I just think it's a littl on the early side. But it does depend on what .0.7 is
it won't be big, I doubt we even get the island
Forbidden Reach was already made and ready to go
Yeh I expect .0.7 pretty much exactly on the 6th jan
From there it's either 6 or 8 weeks until .1
Every x.x.7 patch shocked everyone with how short they were.
We're kind of arguing semantics I think. It's a narrow range
Even 10.2.7 was very short haha.
True
Expansion launched a whole month earlier than most people estimated.
I thought it was gonna be 2 weeks earlier than it was lol
Said August since then blizzcon hehe
*the
the big tell will be if the roadmap mentions alpha at all
In terms of moving into and general twsss cadance for sure
Alpha should be in 2025 some time though aye
Hoping for 16 months between expansions but 18 to 20 is more likely
Even at 20 thatd be an April 2026 launch which would have April later next year
I like the idea of 16 months because it means each saga is 48 months i.e. 2 years
Which means they'd be fitting 3 expansions in the same time it used to take them 3
Im not sure if they can make that cadance though. Would basically be back to back content delivery the whole saga. Would be nice
18 months with s Feb 2026 launch for midnight is my current realistic guess though
So alpha should kick off in like October
If they manage the 16 month cadance, alpha probably roughly one year after tww launch, in august
Probably too optimistic
i know it's random, but funny
Yeah I saw that guy. Sat around for a while but it doesn't seem like it's meant to be a costume or anything
doesnj't make a lot of sense
he's just hanging around
would be funny if the in-unvierse explanation of the 20th anniversary event is just a continuation of the ethereals watching and studying us like trial of style
the events are similar
There's one of them in stormwind too
also a bunch of the new dracthyr class NPCs wandering around
these are cool, why are they on the cata classic ptr?
we getting MoP classic special edition preorder soon?
i want
and for everyone else as well
wen'lo
I'd guess it'll fly since it's most likely a preorder bonus
or special edition
Previous ones didn't always
Mmm so the beledar isnt some naaru. Its the crystallized blood of Azeroth world soul
And there are several like this dispatched beneath the world
is taht speculation or something new that's come out
I'd certainly say the former
Nah its not like azeroth and looks to intentionally shaped
It has runes
It is. It's been leaked
Azeroth has woons
Source?
PM. *
There being multiple isn't a huge surprise, I feel like that was incredibly strongly hinted at with the manifold stuff, and now the new rumours on PTR
Being azeroth's blood is... maybe fits. Especially with the stuff about how arathi were using all the radiant shards to make their special equipment
It also strengthen the link between Azeroth - Elune - Naaru
I'm still expecting us to find a fully void version of one of these crystals
Yep.
And as I theorized way before, those crystal didn't fall on Azeroth, they were expelled from within ( as we can see on the impact on the ceiling of Hallowfall )
And Azeroth might have been the source of it all, including those " shards of Light "
suffused the matter of myriad worlds with the spark of life, giving rise to creatures of wondrous
and terrible diversity```
Where is the leak
To be fair we’ve had “leaks” before that looked legit but were fake
It's basically ( and most probably ) the next week " Azeroth Vault of Memories " weekly quest
Archideas explaining what the manifold is and works and how they encountered those shard of calcified blood of the world soul
Pm?
Private message
ok I can share those, it come from a warcraft lore discord and some PTR datamining 🙂
Ah it's a new disc quest
Infinite diversity in infinite combinations.
Apparently it was supposed to be activated this week
so most probably we'll have it next reset
last bit is very interesting, explains a lot about khaz algar.. I was pretty confused at what the titans were doing if it was abandoned
does it also mean there are intact parts of the manifold?
Also very much confirms the coreway can go deeper
Well I think the manifold is apparently still connected between Uldum and Ulduar, at the very least
The Halls of Origination and the Forge of Earthen are apparently still working and powered.
Interestingly enough, I think what also powered Tyrhold is one of this Shards" fragment
Yeah I saw those at a lore discord earlier today too
Real question is : what is the source of power that make its all works? The world soul itself? Can't be or else Khaz Algar wouldn't have had issues ( since apparently the coreway link directly to it )
titan stuff presumably includes its own power sources
Maybe it wasn’t even meant to be Titan but Titans installed their machines inside it.
They were probably connected to the engines
We managed to connect the forge of reorigination and nalaksha
The chamber of heart and MOTHER were able to check in on almost all we knew of.
We haven't been inside Ulduar since what, Legion?
I know Mimiron was cold.
Told mother to go away basically
During the Dark Heart quests Ulduar was sealed off with magic.
I just don't know if we've been inside since Odyn said he was visiting
It may have been BfA with hunters
I still kinda don’t think that’s all there is to Beledar. The crystal doesn’t allow anything to get close to it and is inscribed with runes and patterns all over
Perhaps it was one that was colonized by the light?
Idk how the light would even do that tho
One thing to keep in mind is they say it’s calcified world soul essence not blood
true.
It might be connected to World souls Memories.
Exactly like the Earthen memory shard are
Idk about that. I think that’s too “titan” in a way. Which Azeroth is most certainly not at this point
Well I agree, but there is all this stuff with Zekvir being tasked by Xalatath to destroy Azeroth's memories he found
It's the prime world so may exhibit all forces. If the second crystal the goblins found calling is nature or chaos it'd make more sense as essence
If it's just another light/shadow crystal
Yeah. I think this is the radiant song
Crystals waking up the planet
Fuck did we just walk into final fantasy
Where’s Clive when you need him
or Diablo...
The World Stone was basically a giant crystal which was the eye* of Anu, the Original god
What are the odds the roots of Elun’ahir just so happen to be wrapped around a giant green nature crystal
Still kinda wonder if the crystals beneath the surface might be Azeroth’s children
It’s not entirely ruled out
Since they are Naaru's like, and that the fish quest mentionned that it was dark before the crystal emitted light, and that the mural on Azj Kahet shown a crystal of void ... there is something fishy , and maybe the light version of that crystal is not its original state
It also reinforce the link between Azeroth - Elune ( who supposedly is a giant naaru ) - and Elune having created the Naaru.
Since Elune is told to be the children of the EarthMother - Azeroth - and that those crystal are essences of Azeroth, then a child of Azeroth would naturally be a part of her essence
I really do believe that Azeroth is the nexus of the cosmos, and that the First Ones enslaved her to power up their framework, and that she is the source of all the cosmic forces we know - probably the seventh - mentionned by Al'Firim
That's also why First Ones artifacts were retrieved in the ruins of the black empire - which might implies that Azeroth was probably there before the framework was put in place -
While I agree with a good bit of this, I dont think Elune is a naaru
We’ve been told she’s of the life pantheon
Oh that's not what I was implying , but that the connexion between her and Azeroth is made clearer by those revelation about the Beledar
Oh yeah
Forgive my french :p
No you’re good
My general rough idea is that Azeroth is a first one. But I also kinda hope blizzard goes down the route of saying “hey the titans masqueraded as the first ones and ordered the shadowlands”
that would be terribad
It wouldn’t make sense but it would be nice if they just tied a neat little bow on shadowlands before sweeping it under the rug forever
So it can be forgotten forever
true, but according to the last chronicles, each of the first ones were apparently an embodiement of each forces, and they worked together to create the framework
so there was an embodiement of Order and that's why you can find trace of Order on shadowlands I guess
Yeah. We only know of two so far. I’m fairly certain Argus is the Embodiment of Death
Hence why he got flung to the shadowlands when he died
And Azeroth is Unity or whatever
yeah the seventh. A fractal because she is what bring all of the other together, being in the framework but also outside of it
This is interesting
The implication that each fragment is different force?
Since it would be weird if it was all light shards
Ehh I don't like the idea of that since the brokers dislike the titans but like the first ones
And the first ones seem to be stronger
if this is linked to chronicles, and if those fragments are what was flung into the cosmos at the dawn of creation, and that those fragments contains Azeroth's memories and dream
Can we say that Azeroth seeded life with her dreams across the cosmos? And that with shard of light also came shard of void that brought the curse of Flesh on other worlds, ?
Can we also wonder it the Old Gods might not have came from outside, but from within Azeroth ?
Yeah i dont fully believe that idea myself i just really hate shadowlands
I like the idea that the first ones were like the great orderers
Combinations of light death and order
But when everything split they died or went missing
And titans took over
I think there was probably a schism in the first one’s ranks. Which is why we’ve heard of only two world souls so far
That said there was a lot of world souls no?
I believe titans are lapdogs of Celestial being. like Algalon.
And maybe Telogrus, unconfirmed but strongly hinted at
I mean I thought the general theory was that Telogrus was a piece of karesh
I never heard that before
Telogrus is the remains of a destroyed void infested planet
Kinda fits the description of K’aresh
I heard that there was a description that Telogrus was destroyed by anger and cleaved in half which refered to Sargeras First infected world soul meet up
its still unconfirmed anyway
Even shattered as it is, this place echoes with the whispers of the great ones who were slain... and the hatred of he who broke this world
No
Some people like Shadowlands lore
I love it
Would be nice if people stopped wanting things they don't like to "disappear"
Each person has their own preferences
And is terrible storytelling to just ignore past events in a narrative
If I was going to do that, I would probably want WoD and BfA to be deleted forever, but I don't keep saying it at every opportunity
Yes because suggesting an idea means I say it at every opportunity
I don’t want shadowlands completely gone but a lot of the ideas it brought in were really disliked
Gods like Elune being robots for one is an insanely bland concept that I want them to effectively overwrite
Shadowlands shouldn’t be forgotten no. I’m exaggerating when I say that. Should its mistakes be brought forward? Hell no.
they're not literally robots though
Is that not a robot
The idea that if a god dies a magic 3d printer will just make a new one sucks imo
It can exist on its own. In regards to the Eternal ones of Shadowlands. But I strongly believe this concept should not be brought forward for Zereth Vitas
If anything make them made of roots and vine not metal
they were created, for sure. But after creation they're fully living gods. It's just like many real life creation mythologies.
Half of the jailers story in SL was getting back his robot core thing
And when he died he reverted back into a robot. The only thing I really meant by saying shadowlands should be swept under the rug is this concept. It undercuts a lot of the spectacle of what makes the gods of WoW really cool, and eliminates any mystery as to what they really are
There is plenty of these robots in sepulcher that look like him. I wonder if the Jailer tried to replicate himself or they were just there.
They’re empty vessels. They serve as bodies for the eternal ones to keep the machine of death running
Should one die
why?
Makes a potential death not impactful
Removes any mystery from these uber powerful beings
“The arbiter is dead, what will we do?”
bzzzt one arbiter for delivery!
I don't necessarily disagree with that but that's also why I dislike pretty much the whole written down cosmology chart as a whole
"oh there's another, more powerful layer of gods"
i mean, if there is an afterlife where u just continue on, feels like the same thing
as well as just being able to ress anyone
like anduin ressing khadgar, or DKs, or forsaken
or those druid gods where if they die, they just pop out eventually back alive
Elune is not a robot.
Whats to be understood is that Eternal one requires to be dead to go to the shadowlands to begin with. They are shapeless souls given form and tangibility with robot constructs.
In Grimoire of Shadowlands, its specifically said that Elune and the Winter Queen existed prior that in reality and had to take their respectives role given to them by the first Ones and separated, the Winter Queen being a soul and having a prototype implies that her soul was sent to the shadowlands to be filled into a construct like the arbiter ( we saw that with pelagos ). In short : she had to die to assume her role.
So with that logic I assume the robot factory into the Sepulcher is just unique to the shadowlands and is probably different in the other Zereth and maybe do not exists at all
Before they put that soul from Zovaal to Arbiter and he was still pretty much alive after that. He just had a hole in chest.
I pretty much think this was a small part of his soul and that's why the arbiter seemed... somehow mute and impotent
Yea that’s possible
Okay but this is assuming your theory is right
The only facts we know are that the first ones made the shadowlands. We also know all the Eternal Ones had prototype versions of themselves as we saw in Sepulcher, bar the Jailer of course. Their complete cosmic essence, their souls, inhabit complete vessels. That is the pantheon we know. Whether they had to die to go to the shadowlands is complete speculation.
Pelagos is a special exception to the rule, being a mortal soul taking over an Eternal One's vessel in the absense of the Arbiter
We know the Winter Queen's sister is Elune, and opposites of one another. One Life, the other Death. The implication is that, because the Winter Queen is a soul in a robot vessel, and that she and Elune are sisters, that Elune would also be a soul in a robot vessel. I do not personally want this to be the case, because I think that is lame. For that reason I really hope Blizz avoids going down that route with other pantheons and gives them a different form of creation, and that their planes of existence don't operate like a "machine"
Can I just say with the anniversary event coming up and reading the articles today, why the hell do we have 7 different currencies to purchase stuff? I don’t care about the grind, it just gets so confusing. Sometimes WoW feels literally unplayable unless you have a second monitor with wowhead popped up on your browser. Anyways, event looks fun, can’t wait to try it.
it's really only two
Also do we think the rewards from coffer keys (capped at 120, and only available thru BRD) is gonna be season 1 gear or just transmog? Can’t think of another reason why they would cap the currency
it's actual gear
Word, I’m curious how powerful it is. I hope it’s a good way to gear alts for season 2
it's hero gear and the event ends before s2
it'll be replaced by normal raid gear in s2
As I said its not possible since the grimoire implies that both of them were alive and existed prior the creation of the framework. They were not created for that
It go even further by saying they were chosen for these role specifically because they were sisters
Nowhere does it say they existed prior
Ok. That’s still a stretch
What the book is saying is the forces needed to be bound tightly. They designed two sisters and put them in their respective roles in those planes so that they would be bound out of familial ties to one another no matter the distance. They then grew apart, with the winter queen growing resentful having been separated
They still created the winter queen and supposedly elune
“Assumed” doesn’t mean that she died to get the role. It means she was designed for the role and took it when the time came for her to fulfill her purpose. I don’t really know why this is a debate when there’s literally a prototype version of her as a raid boss in Sepulcher. You’re welcome to have your theories and I’ll just hold onto my opinions about shadowlands lore. 🤷♂️
Funnily, the only thing we explicitly know is that Ardenweald existed before the Winter Queen, not the other way around
Marasmius, the mushroom travel network NPC, existed before ardenweald was made into a grove when the Winter Queen arrived
There was a time when hard work was valued in these parts. Of course, then she came along and got all fancy with her trees and groves. Nobody remembers old Marasmius. "Oh sure, use the network," they always say. And do I hear a word of gratitude? No!
<Somehow, Marasmius's grumblings seems to fade away into the distance despite him not moving at all.>
I've been down here for ages. I remember the early days, it was just me and the Queen herself. We kept awful busy back then. She's a real hard worker too...
Shadowlands lore is messy anyway ^^ But we know that the Eternal ones require a soul to work, the prototype are just that, prototype, maybe they are just test construction without soul imbued into them.
For the Arbiter, there were container with specific - powerful soul at the ready to infuse a new construction to make a new one, so we defo knows that a soul is required to craft another eternal one. That's why I theorized that the Winter queen was alive, and because she had a strong bond with a sister, it was that bond the First Ones deemed useful to make the Life and Death realm works in tandem, so they sent each other to their respective planes, and to join the plane of death well... You have to give your soul - IE die - and then your soul will be infused into a robot construction that would adapt to your designed role.
That's my theory nobody is forced to agree with this, but I firmly believe that Elune is not a robot and that the process does not works like this in the Plane of Life, and that its specific to the Shadowlands. Titans arent robots for example, they are born from world soul ( but that another topic since apparently a world soul can be whatever based on what force influence it, so we can argue that titans aren't possibly the real " master " of the plane of Order )
True, and its why Pelagos is a different kind of arbiter
Considering that the eternal one's have actual personalities. I'd Wager they could be other beings put into the vessels, their essences put into forms the first ones deemed suitable
Also of note
Brokers use ardenweald to represent life. And moon iconography for both life and death
Considering elune wanted to help her sister by trying to send souls to her, and the wq is actually more about life and regrowth
I'd say wq is life in death and elune is death in life
Elune could be in the life pantheon to literally keep it in balance
(Balance druids)
They have cosmic spirits just like the titans
Just like the titans though, they were just made by the First Ones
We don't know that for sure
I've always got the impression they had lives before their titles and jobs
And were put into their roles to work
When we try to make a new arbiter, in one of the chamber we were asking to retrieve a soul waiting there to put it into the robot, but then dreadlords and the soul was kaput. And apparently a special type of soul was required
Only pelagos was fitting after that
They can't make soul from scratch or else all that storyline would have been dull ( why couldn't they fabric another "' arbiter soul " in ZM then instead of choosing pelagos ? )
Robot are just Vessel, needing to be filled in with a soul
( The dreadlords even tried to put argus soul into the new arbiter vessel )
Tbf this is explained
The vessel was ready and needed something in it that moment or it would fail
So pelagos just jumped n
true. But they still can't make soul from scratch ( or else there would never have been an anima drought )
Yes
Souls aren't anima.
Souls collect anima by living.
Given the predestination going on with the First Ones I assumed they just made the soul knowing it was to be needed
At least I presume the first soul was made by the first ones.
I wonder if Anima is basically a souls ability to manipulate fate
which is why it would be so important to order beings
and also why the void would attack the shadowlands
since it's also established that mortals have a unique ability to just fuck over fate
fate ig could also be flavoured as reality in a way as well
since if you can manipulate your own fate, you are a powerful being and literally change reality to what you want
Illidan was kind of our first implementation of that as an idea in modern expacs ig
and fate was a big thing in SL
Jailer wanted the soul of Azeroth, specifically I assume to harvest her powerful anima. To change reality.
So perhaps what causes the whole anima phenomenon is literally fragments of whatever azeroth is inside all mortal beings, the thing that gives us free will and the ability to control our own fate
and would reinforce the idea of Azeroth being this big prime reality being, especially with the name matching the "dreaming reality" lovecraft god
It says so in Grimoire of the Shadowlands. The first ones created all pantheons
yes but are the titans the true pantheon of order
That said Grimoire can always be retconned/recontextualized like chronicle was but that’s the current understanding
And that’s really up to speculation. Personally I want them to throw some curveballs like that tho
I’m really hoping they reveal some of the pantheon of titans aren’t actually titans but from other pantheons converted to titan. Like Argus was
the brokers claim they basically stole the spotlight
I think it could be applied to Sargeras and Eonar. Being intended for Fel and Life pantheons but now converted
I disagree in the sense that I do think titans are titans
and are being of order
but, I also think that those order beings have overstepped and are trying to lock other pantheons into their order
Eonar is the lifebinder, she is meant to be its controller (like my proposed elune idea as well, which is interesting since we know they have a link)
Aman'thul controls time, arguably in the way the light wants one true timeline
Again this isn’t really a theory more of an idea. Just could explain how those two stick out like sore thumbs compared to their kin
Would make the titans all the more horrifying
#SargerasWasRight
Lmao
one minor thing the did but is a strange detail they've not expanded on is that the titans are literally comprised of 2 subspecies
Sargeras wasn't even right since his ideaology wasn't his own
I’m kidding
was literally just dreadlords whispering him and goading him into goin sicko mode
Yeah. Gosh that retcon was kinda lame
ehh I think it works
I like the idea of dread lords being denathrius’ doing
like Sargeras's original idea was pure
the dreadlords couldn't literally change his goal
or his target
I think we just need to see more of how Sargeras thought about it. Despite being the biggest and greatest wow villain he’s got like the least screen time which is crazy to me
but they fed him biased info
and used him for other means
"oh damn Sarg you hate the void? go cut a bunch of planets in half it'll stop them turning void trust. Totally won't feed souls to the death realm"
Sargeras's original purpose is also interesting since he was liuterally just meant to go slay demons
the implication being that in this weird proto ancient universe the demons still just invaded reality of their own volition for some reason
and for some reason he had to discover that they regenerated in the twisting nether, he didn't even know that at first despite being a full on demon slaying titan
that sort of echoes of someone who's been given a purpose by someone else
like amanthul or someone else just said "aight sarg stay here, no questions please."
We end up in the complex equation : where do souls comes from ?
Void seems to have a pretty huge place in the process, as we saw that creature of Order, made of stone or metal, became corrupted with the flesh and somehow got soul over the course of time.
🤔
There's a soul factory somewhere.
It is interesting that order and void create flesh and souls from rock and metal.
It sorta mimics what life did to elementals.
Probably in the plane of Life ( Elune is throwing souls randomly in the cosmos? xD )
Nah life doesn't need souls
I think "souls" are just something inherent to combining forces in reality
and a soul that is imbalanced becomes less and less 'mortal'
idk
but it's pretty clear the 'mortal' souls are the ones that are the valuable ones
and every mortal race has appeared due to a combination of forces
even the earthen can now be considered 'mortals' ever since being imbued with Azeroth's power instead of the titans coding
which just further gives credence to the idea of Azeroth and mortals being the sort of "reality and fate control" thing
or an amalgam/ combination of all, alternatively something new outside thme main 6
but even the flecks of Azerite in oribos, Oribos being the conduit for mortal souls
Azeroth is seemingly tied to whatever causes Mortals to be what they are
The Earthen had already been partially afflicted by the curse
They just stayed robotic
Yeah but I mean specifically the push that made them become 'mortal' and playable was their infusion from azeroth
they chose to make the playable earthen different than the NPC ones
if what someone posted earlier is true though and Azeroth is actually a light entity?
that is... interesting
especially with the growing antaagonism from the light
She's the prime world soul, I doubt she's any one force
The radiant song is all about all the 6 forces coming together equally
At least that’s what they said in Zereth mortis
yep. We already have death and life represented by the crown of harmony
Next one is the shadow and the light
so can all beings be more than one thing? Like naaru being light and void. Eonar life and a titan, sargeras a titan + demon?
or is a thing just unique to certain individuals
Oh, glyph of jab was found on PTR https://www.wowhead.com/ptr-2/item=225338/glyph-of-jab#comments:id=5981354
This is a monk glyph. It is sold on the Auction House or crafted by scribes. In the Monk Glyph Items category. Added in World of Warcraft: The War Within.
Was also mentioned on the secret finding discord but not sure who was first or if it's the same person
I swear this was already in the game
Why is it something the secret finding group have to find even if they re added it after removing that's so strange
I mean, a vendor at the peak of serenity isn't particularly secret
Fair
It may well end up in the patch notes anyway
But why was it removed in the first place
v0v maybe just technical reasons if they ever redid animations or something
I remember back in like mop or wod that thing existed
removed with legion pre-patch apparently
when they ripped out the old glyph system, guess it just didn't get converted
Oh it is actually on a vendor now?
It was datamined in beta but they never added the actual glyph item.
Yup, went and tried myself, 500g, seems functional
I'm wondering what the mountain dew promotion will be
The FF14 mountain dew promotion was kinda stupid
Hey sorry if this is been already asked but do we have any idea of the upcoming meta for M+ in 11.0.5 ?
no
Coming back to Khadgar also voicing Odyn, he is a little joke xD
Wait what deathlord? 👀
Hahaha thanks!
Betamaleshaman
I just reada the note on the table in cinderbrew and it's interesting
it's hinting that the cinderbrew has more to it
like ofc it's kind of angled as just a cool thing the earthen do
but isn't it actually a titan given edict to make it or was it an unbound self given edict?
the cinderbrew bees basically being elemental and life combined isf relevant to the current story I'd say
and makes me wonder what the goblins could use it for. I know they've got a lot of flamethrowers lying around in Azjkahet, and there's a paritcular interest in the roots going on
but I don't think they'd play the "large tree object" threatened by "fire of some type" card again
I think the dungeon's mostly a one-off, I figure they'll go more general deforestation vibes if we get haranir vs venture co
think Avatar, but warcraft lol
I wouldn't be surprised if they even have Xal'atath involved with some kind of "here's this juiced up fuel (that totally isnt black blood), use it for even more profit!" deal
the gobbos in WoD took fel blood
and there's that new company blackfuse or whatever it's called
wouldn't surprise me if they discovered that the cinderbrew is basically napalm and they can use it in their flamethrowers
and they're void aligned gobbos
although I don't see it yet
ah I see it in the app, but not in game
cat mount
Nice I want this mount
i need dates, Warcraft Direct, something about 11.0.7
knowing more about whatever the warcraft direct is would be great.
Would be nice. But at this point I'm not expecting any announcements til after 11.0.5 goes live
or possibly with it
Probably, makes the most sense to not steal the thunder of one event with another. I could totally see the announcement be along side the anniversary event.
Like everything goes live and then a “more news of what’s to come X date at the Warcraft direct”
It'll either be first week of November to match traditional Blizzcon, or early December.
First week of November to announce 11.0.7 and the 2025 roadmap would be great
11.0.7 is likely going live first Tuesday in January.
December for warcraft direct is still my guess
When they do the roadmap
Roadmap always comes first to second week of dec
Twice is not a pattern
It is a pattern, just not a particularly statisically useful one
Buts it's better than random conjecture
makes some sense, they have been set up somewhat as annual things and the last one did go to 11.0.5
but also I want it now
Hehe same
Remember that the pattern may change since we're an official trilogy of expansions with the goal of releasing them " faster "
Yall think this Warcraft 3 patch 2.0 thing was just a fluke or could we see a substantial update to the game. It has a special place in my heart lol
Just to clarify on people who havent read it; its Warcraft 3 reforged, not the OG xD
there was a survey back in january 2023
it's possible to see something in the Warcraft Direct
they've done quite a lot of patches to reforged since that survey, I think most of the major issues were fixed? If there is a 2.0 it's probably something new
Yeah that is my thinking. It’s all fixed up now. Would be cool if they do something new. Or do they revamp 1 and 2 and lump it all into one game
Did they sneak anything new into the patch notes or is it all what was in the ptr notes
I'm not sure if blizz actually keep the first post updated on the ptr notes
seems they do but theres so many wording and formatting changes it's hard to tell anything
oh they did add one tiny change https://x.com/Theunwow/status/1846975107459436556
Oh no! Now they aren’t completely op during cleanse week
oh, end date for the anniversary
jan 6th
from the end of the video

And a fair few other clarifications
jan 6th is the 11 weeks that was found in datamining so not a huge surprise
almost certainly patch on the 7th
yep
Which means 11.0.7 ptr should be early november
Patch has to basically be tested before Christmas
Greedy me hopes for 11.1 ptr in December too
I'm still gonna pencil in 6 weeks after Jan 7
Small chance it's 4 weeks.
As expected
Could randomly pop up any time after this seekt though. There's been an encrypted 11.0.7 ptr build for a while now
Some people even have access to it and some music files for the 11.1 zone
Indeed, but generally Blizzard likes to give a patch a week to breath
Aye I meant unencrypted build for datamining rather than actual testing availability
I still think that'll be first week of November cause of Blizzcon week
Could be as soon as this time next week
Yeh I agree for official news
But datamining might be sooner
Maybe
