cthun has been dead since vanilla, yogg we THINK is dead - its possible yogg is alive
Like, they can / will return, once it has... healed.
yogg we only fought a mouth
nope
We fought one of Yogg's 51 mouths.
(Warning: Numbers entirely made up)
Right, in that case...
It could still be C'thun's corpse, since the only time it was mentioned was in the comics (after vanilla), which have been retconned (Med'an)
And given C'thun was just a big eyeball, I'm led to believe there was a much larger mass underneath.
i think it is the corpse yeah
My money's on that as well, ye.
essentially the sword cut it open and paved a path for it to reach deeper

There's not much else it could be otherwise, if anything even. Black blood (blood usually being the trademark of the old gods), all of C'thun's bullshit was black..
Kinda only makes sense for him to be the source.
... man, I really hate the Watcher bot. It doesn't do jack against spaming the chat, it only stops you from saying stuff like yaaaaaaaah with more a's.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOT-dgvbYMg @dense plover Anciiiient
A placeholder quest takes a turn for the really f**king weird.
But they apparently planned for some hallucinations of C'thun in Cataclysm.
i mean - we know the remnants of the old gods can still influence people and make them see things or do things

Exactly.
Gib me big eyeball!

Say, am I misunderstanding smthn or is Brann completely... scuffed in Delves?
That's the Uldum Idol thingy, heals me for 2. His potions heal me for 14.
addon might not be tracking it right
not sure
could be busted
I mean, perhaps, but my hp-bar sure isn't moving much. <-<
i mean, ill agree his heals are shit - always have been
i tank so i just have him as healer for the "oh shit" buttons he has
but it could be broken
something I noticed- when anduin is dragged into Azj kahet, and when we find him- he's missing Shalamayne
is this vanilla or an addon?
Oh HELL nooo!
Fraid I can't help you, Peachie ;- ; I'm not that far @dense plover
:C
im not max level but here's what im seeing
ok must be an addon
World Quest Addon perhaps?
So... Normally you enter via the front door of the Siegehold, right? (AT least I'd assume so, I legit just arrived in Hallowfall)
Yeah, well, you can also just fly up and into the web above.
found a cute lil squid guy in a treasure chest
YES! Read his description!
T.T I just logged out

haha later, i shall
Oh, hol' up, lemme getchu

OH no
facehugger confirmed??
wait did you get him in Azj kahet?
I got mine in rnging deeps
Same
Just exploring before picking up main story again c:
oh ok
so far im not liking RD so much, but we'll see how i feel later. Not too far in
If you do decide to be a heathen and turn of music in WoW, I'd recommend turning it on in Hallowfall - it's amazing. It's the perfect blend for running into the enemy with sword and shield raised.
Ill try that. I know so far the music has been SO GOOD
Yaaaas!
It's truly amazing.
You guys don't want to know the story behind this item.

when you are with the vizier and do the 'stay a while and listen' for anduin the music changes to his theme
like a sad angelic-ish version
Oh, cool! Same with Magni and Dagran when you do the Stay-A-While while investigating the Skadyn - at least I think that's where it was.
NO! thats gonna hurt me
sad boi anduin makes me sad
youre months late
its actually pretty obvious
you can see the line
and they arent highlighted for quests
I mean, ye- Hey, come on. :C
they used to be better in alpha
I still think it's cool and scary. ._.
they actually made them more obvious
i think people were frustrated with them
i like the anglers
man alleria just keeps walking into every trap Xal lays out
i take back what i said about MoH visuals
its actually pretty cool
theyve done SUCH a good job having Xal appear throughout the story

But is it an issue with Alleria... or is Xal just that good.
bit of both
Uhh... You good, Ansurek?
To be fair, Xal is in her head.
Ahhhhhhhh, Beledar is an analogy for the Light always returning.
Aaaaaaaand Alleria is getting bullshitted by Xal again. <-<
Question, cause the zone is underground does inky black potion not work for the other 3 zones
I'd imagine it wouldn't, there is no sky.
But you can try it out, see if it just darkens the area.
Yeah I didn't think it would change the hallowfall skybox
Can't untill 26th
Ohhhhhhhh, right, I see. I'll test it for you. ❤️
Making a stand against Corpo greed (no shade against anyone who bought it honestly I actually didn't get it so I could have some days for Wukong)
Oh, totally valid, dw.
But shame on blizzard for it
Yeah, it's unfortunate they took to this as well.
@dense plover Yeah, this is 1000% in reference to the old gods. They're dead, their blood (and influence) remains, their blood tells of wars old and wars yet to come.
Specifically C'thun, most likely.
FYI main questline still doesnt give enough xp to reach 80
Appreciate the warning, tyvm ❤️
anyone get any flashbacks looking at this and realizing it uses harmonics to keep the creatures from going insane from the black blood?
maybe you might feel like this is a bit of a remix

Wdym harmonics?

Is this some mantid reference I am too insect noises to understand?
yes
i think its the same style of thing
the mantid used harmonics
and now the nerubians are doing the same to cleanse themselves of the black bloods influence
Was there ever like... some in-game lore to support this?
'cause we know Mantid use harmonics, that much I know. We have the tuning forks and everything.
But I'm not sure I've heard of them using harmonics to cleanse Y'chargee's influence, especially considering the Paragons readily took to war for him (when Garrosh became his avatar, so to speak)
I think I've seen people post this during beta.
Man, I can't wait to see them not continue this quest chain. <_>
11.2 gonna be lit
Hopegylly xalataths body underwater will be a zone
Be so good
Honestly something tells me we're going back to 3 patches
Someone asked in one of the interviews will we expect the 2 patch cycle or will we expect more and they were like "hmmm no comment for now :)"
Nay, foolish tuck! Mostly because it's a 6-year journey (at max, they said they plan to be done by 2030 / sooner than that) so they don't have much time left for that.
Just replace s4 with it
And a 3-patch cycle wouldn't work that well for 3 expansions, unless... they become super fast. Ou O
B-But... my recap season.
And I don't wanna take that away from you. Hope for us both, brotha.
Darn, I had hoped they had "brother" in that gif somewhere. Nevermind.
Yeah, I could be wrong but idk something tells me they would have said "this is the norm" p
Also have they said that
Damn
Hope, brother, never forsake it.
Did we ever determine what that tentacle looking thing in the “Shadows Beneath” cinematic was? Assumably a part of an old god, but which one, and what is it for?
I’m aching to figure out who or what Xal’Atath really is, what she wants with the world soul (does she want to destroy, corrupt, control, or absorb its power?). How do the old gods play in, is she one herself, what was the other side of deal she made with N’Zoth in BfA that’s lead to this? So many questions I know.

Click on this douche a couple of times - he's a member of the Order of the Night and you can just find that out by clicking on him!
I appreciate them having unique soundbites - I think it's (a) hilarious (oversight) they are available when they're in disguise as normal citizens.
Okay, upon further examination: Either they just got some weird soundbites or there's a crap ton of 'em in Mereldar, even named npcs.
I'm gonna make a call now, if Anduin has lost Shala'mayn... Faerin will wield it at one point and it will become a massive meme.
To be fair, this doesn't look particularly black btw.
Though I gotta admit, the "architecture" - aka the goddamn pustules all over the walls - reminds me of Ahn'Quiraj
Huh... this implies the black blood is bubbling up rather than seeping down from above, given she's saying "it has sat dormant for ages"...
Unless it has sat dormant for ages, after seeping downward into the caves, and Xal'atath has only made her move now (instigating the Nerubians to gather it)
Yeah nvm, I arrived here now - you're totally spot on.
It's a very easy comparison too / very on the nose, attack the containers to the right, activate the harmonizer...
Debuffs gone.
I love how they made Lothar character, her body is broken but she still has light ✨
And of course those friendly spiders. Haha 😆
Human(oid)'s in isle of dorne in league with nerubians as shipbuilders? I havent gone below yet but this is interesting
Spindle best spooda
That is interesting - likely from the Hallowfall area, will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Vanilla, it's individual reputations - for example, Widow Arak'nai
I think we're getting just two patches cause Metzen says they're already working on 13.1 and 13.2
Yus.
I do think 3 raid expansions is some lost value, but it is what it is
Clearly Legion and BfA broke the team in some ways
... the currency of the Nerubar is called Kej... aka... cesh, phonetically.

Do you take debit or KEJ?
Kedz is different than Kesh. Assuming it's not Kay
I think they are also really emphasizing this 8 week cadence. will be interesting to see what they roll out for .5 patches and the like
I doubt it's phrased Kedz, but I could be wrong. 👀 If it's Kesh it's an obvious goof, and it's really funny to me.
Mayhaps, but I usually see J as tch, like Ketchup
Hmm, I say those sounds very differently myself
We'll likely have 11.0.5 on ptr fast. I hope it's like in a week or two but they may wait for the rwf to finish since it's only the anniversary patch
We just know patch day is sometime in October
this popped out of one of those wax things in ringing deeps
ive never seen this model before
no i know the multiple reps
i meant the display
i hope this Durzan sized ram is our Meta achievement mount hahaha could you imagine riding on this thing
Oh, I figured it's exclusive to Threads because they have 3 sub-factions
yes but i dont think the vanilla UI does that display
it does
yeah it's like the friend system too from SLs
atleast i'm pretty sure it was also displayed like that there too
Silvery moon, washed in blood, led astray into the night, armed with the sword of broken Light. Broken, then betrayed by one, standing there bestride the sun. At darkest hour, redemption comes, in knightly lady sworn to blood.
I can actually see something happening between Anduin and Faerin
I think she gonna guide him back to light
Its gonna be an Anduin, Faerin, Wrathion throuple.
Friend system first showed up in MoP I believe with the Stardew Valley stuff
I'm glad I'm not the only one calling out how shallow the msq felt.
Which sucks cause the side quests prove they can write emotional stuff
Kej'amite??
Oh nvmind is Kaja
Can you elaborate what you mean by shallow? :c So far I've quite enjoyed the MSQ, currently at getting introduced to the Widow ... whatshername. <-<
Something I can sympathise with (if that's how you meant it), the MSQ doesn't feel as impactful because even when reading quests it is just big explosive moment after big explosive moment for the most part. Smaller stories get to shine here, because they are their own, isolated thing.
They did well with that in Hallowfall though, giving us a short break to breath - I feel like doing side-quests in between parts of the MSQ is the needed break to make the MSQ feel more lively, because it takes away from the big, exciting A plot to give you space to relax, breath, to think about what just happened. o:
Anyone I would like to ask is it true that for new accounts in World of Warcraft The War Within that will be restricted?
What do you mean by restricted?
Motivations feel weak, things are solved the next quest, etc.
like sod cant trade or sell at the aution house or buy at the aution house
Characters do things that feel out of place in the name of making the next big shiny cutscene moment
Mhhh, I can see the 'things are resolved in the next quest', ye. o: But that bothers me very little, though I'm quite weird when it comes to stuff that annoys me / feels like a letdown to me. <-<
Oh, ye, that's still in the game afaik.
Hmm... I'm quite sleep deprived at the moment, so that might be while I struggle to see that. :0 Sorry your experience with the MSQ wasn't as great. :c
Im interested in playing World of Warcraft: The War Within but something tells me that new accounts will be restricted
and I just want to know if its true or not
Like I just said, as far as I know that is still the case, like it has been before.
Accounts without an active subscription are restricted
They can only use characters up to level 20, too.
So which one should I buy base heroic or epic to avoid being restricted?
You need a subscription and a level 70 character to do The War Within content
If you have a subscription you won't be restricted
It was fine, it just wasn't as good as it could be if the writers let the story work without it being a 6 hour plot at most.
Mhhh... I think the issue stems from the MSQ being barebones, it's just the main plot points.
What are you on about lol
Thanks guys
We thank Kyle, the almighty.
Who gave a normal answer, like a sane human being, unlike me and Bombaron.
(Not joking, I'm half-asleep, ty for answering this properly, Kyle)
If they did the MSQ but involved more of the 'side quests' it would easily span more than 6 hours and feel more like a + b plot rather than just... "a plot goes nuclear!"
Thank you for this dumb comment 🙏
Of course, dear.
Meant no disrespect by it, was really just joking about how I gave an incomplete answer and you asked what he meant, while Jake figured out the answer.
Please, do not smite me, for I am but a tiny spec of sleepy snail-matter.
Haha no worries mate
Thank you, mighty baron of the bombs.

Oh, also, big fan of Skipper and the rest of the squad.
Bc blizzard listened to the fans that bragged they don't read quests and just wanted to get to max level.
If you want the story do all the side quests
The quests are right there to do and hard to miss
I'm lv76.5 all I've done is dornagol and like 2 quests in ringing deeps.
There's so much to do and so much to listen to
I don't mind that though, there are so many quests just strewn about everywhere that it genuinely feels like an interactive world, one you're 'forced' to engage with if you want to take part in it.
Because you can absolutely just brute-force dungeon run leveling, which is faster than questing from what I've heard.
So it's a win-win in my book. Complaints heard, problems solved - you only get a bare-bones quest chain to feed you the most important bits, how you get to level 80 other than those quests (which aren't enough) is for you to figure out. IF YOU WANT TO ENJOY THE STORY, you're welcome to do so. 👀
The msq isn't enough for lv80?
... no. o.o Not by a far shot.
Hmm
So ye, regardless of whether they did bare-bones or this is the same amount as otherwise, the massive surplus of 'sidequests' got me stoked.
Guess they expected people to do more dungeon stuff and delves to make up for it if they don't wanna do quests
I love the side quests
same. 👀
Aight, anywho, I need to focus on smthn. \o Cya tmrw... or whenever I awake.

Night
@crimson cradle
Did you do all the stuff in dalaran?
I dont know
last thing I came back from defeating corrupted tyralion
and no quests around
except khadgar giving me this werid event quest
overlap ?
theres 2 khadgars in dalaran
one downstairs one upstairs with jaina
and this stone dwarf alcoholic doesnt wake up either
Quest order:
Harbinger- helping alleria
The war within- talk to jaina in silithus to talk to magni then magni shutdown
Then you'll get stuff for talking to magni again after he wakes up
If there's 2 khadgar you need to finish one of those to phase to the correct khadgar
so should I go back to silithus now ? cuz magni in dalaran sleeping with family around him
If he's asleep still then that means you can't start the campaign for tww
Did you buy the epic edition
no wtf ?
Then you'll need to wait until tomorrow
Maybe you got the next quest on accident, but tomorrow you should be able to pick up where it left off.
Khadgar should only be in the portrait room
Epic edition came with early access
The other tiers don't have that
I see
Your preorder stuff was the cosmetics and mount or w/e tier you bought
But yeah, for now, you'll have to wait
base edition give me cosmetics ?
Did you not look at the buying chart when you purchased the game?
There was a big comparison list of what comes with each one
yeah and base has literaly nothing but 3 things
500 trader coins , lvl 70 boost and war within
theres your answer
Yeah I thought Faerin was this forced feminist "im not afraid of anything, and I dont need anyone!" type of hardened character
But instead she has a nice backstory, I like her character design and also like her sweet personality while still being strong
Maybe a bit like Anduin
(personality wise)
I love those kinds of dialogue
It really makes me want to see the Arathi empire
Also I love the dialogue my void elf got
Also the way these kinds of dialogue are placed
RPG- like
I really missed the mmoRPG part of WoW for a long time, so I love how its back
Faerin is by far in my opinion the best addition to the main cast in a loooooong time. I desperately wanna see more about the Arathi
She’s also just a fucking gigachad for going “yeah I could take the cyborg arm but I like my shield better”
I couldn't agree more!
Lights Gambit is my favo quest so far
Playing a board game with Faerin and Anduin while having serious conversations with both of them that give a lot of insight into both of them
Yea she is so damn strong. I went to kill elites with her and she didn’t even loose health.
Are there any conformation if Khadgar is actually gone or not, as we actually dont see him get offed on the screen?
Nope
Pretty sure he is not dead yet though
They would have showed it, like with Varian
I returned briefly in legion and quit before the first raid was opened. And two of my favorite characters got taken away in the first 30 minutes.
||khadgars wheelchair||
Then i returned now and it freaking happens again
I'm happy with a Xavier as long as he's not gone
Seing my Fav tirion just get dipped in green goo and removed was such a freaking letdown
I have tried to find the article, but couldn't find it, can you link it? 😄
I have read that before
hmm wonder if it was removed
i cant find it either but i looked at the article and it had a big spoiler tag
i see forums mentioning it but no longer a wowhead post
it was a joke i'm pretty sure. however i am pro "khadgar isn't dead"
Always wanted to see him show some power and when he finally does he just get clapped like Bolvar did with sylvanas
Kinda sad
So - Brann XP is locked. How long until they execute a rollback to cap everyone at 15?
In fact, I'm willing to bet they limit XP per week moving forward unless they can block multiboxing somehow
ie first week = level 15
second week = 20 or 25
etc
probably 15 a week so after a month you can just hit cap
I don't think there's much need to limit it past early access
true but it's a weird thing to hotfix one day before everyone else can gain access if you aren't gonna limit it weekly
I wish he would come back as something like Gandalf the White 😂
people will multibox day one if they dont
this wasnt something they knew about pre-EA
I just don't feel like there's any particularly large advantage to having a higher level brann, and he doesn't take that long to level anyway
i do feel like if he is still alive he very much so understands that the only way to beat Xal is to catch her by surprise so he's hiding and letting everyone assume he's dead until the time is right to spring the trap against her
uh did you not read the post? "Brann Bronzebeard gains bonus 5% bonus damage/healing for each level past 10." - if they dont do this, people will complete tier 11 day 1 or 2
I am aware of what his abilities are
he is not gonna carry a t11 delve even maxed out
aweee theyre cute
Even maxed out he's not going to be beating my personal dps currently in a t3 delve
playable kobold when
Yea same.
Does anyone else feel like “great I love these new mount guides” but also like “now I don’t have an excuse not to collect them” and the subsequent FOMO? 😂😂
I love skitter so much T^T she's so adorable
Blizzard needs to stop trying to cap stuff after it's been done.
Mmm there is no fatigue zone outside the isle of dorne
very weird
might be something blizzard forgot
Like very few people were grinding level 60 Branns
or it was just a bug since I just got it back right now
But by blocking it and people having it, now you create something players can't have
oh no, there is a precise path were there is absolutely no fatigue
So you are creating discontent for 0 reason?
Sometimes I wish blizzard would just let grinds be, who cares if people rush it. Not like people were gonna be buying multiple accounts just to level him. Solo it's a hell of a grind in level 3s.
We can't even get past r1 curios right?
Sometimes I wish Blizzard would take a second and think before panicking. Maybe they had numbers on people grinding Brann
I kinda stopped at 10 cause it was like 3-4 delves per level
the xp/level stops increasing there, at 12500 per
higher level delves give more xp but not by a lot
depending on how thorough/lucky you get with the loot I think around 4-5k per delve is about right
Bliss always nailes the cute fur monster every xpac
Gnolls dragonflight
Furbogs wrath
Turtles bfa ( not fur but you get the jist)
I'm hoping there's weekly exp quests for Brann
bountiful delves give more xp i think
If you use the key?
fun quest, she holds up items like Link does
"Your warband is now friendly with Earthen"
Khadgar is alive im sure, but I am afraid he will die during this trilogy 😭
We SHOULD get a cinematic out of it though, like with Saurfang
If they dont make a goodbye Khadgar cinematic, I will go to Blizz HQ and slap the one who declined it
anyone else not getting credit for the lore hunter achievement items?
I got mine while in dorn
Is that the treasures and stuff?
No it's finding interesting sites.
The list is in your achievement log
Okay cool I will take a look
ive encountered multiple ones that i interact with but grant 0 credit
hunter healer spec confirmed
They'll shoot you with giant syringes
Tinker, but spread out onto several classes - hunter gets the healing spec.
Gotta admit, the Nerubian music sounds very much akin to the Venthyr.

There's several noteworthy npcs here, too, the expeditions, the Earthen Ring, The Argent Crusade, Pirates, even one of Dalaran's named, wandering NPCs!
Yeaaah, this smells like a mind-control / subversion plot.
And I am all for it.
🏳️🌈 !
did you play the whole thing? it's basically implied that its the order of the night people
The who-now? The what-huh?
Eh?
the bad lamplighters
I didn't get that at all
the people who follow aleric?
Ohhh, that would make sense, I guess?
The Vizier made it so people could escape.
Though, by that logic, it would be Xal's own minions against Xal's... own minions.
pretty sure that npc stuff is before the lamplighter betrayal quests
It's literally the zone after
The lamplighter betrayal is in Hallowfall, I'm in Azj Kahet
Regardless though - I'm with Flynn right now.
🏳️🌈
oh, i thought that dialog was the stuff when you first meet with the npcs at hallowfall mb
Nah, all good. 👀
... first we get a Nerubian holding a tea-party in one of the Dig events in Dragonflight 10.1 - and then we get Mr. Sunflower (who, for all I remember MAY VERY WELL BE SAID NERUBIAN) with his own therapy clinic! I am so unbelievably hype about this little spider
||Mr. Sunflower going John Wick mode, asking me to kill a torturous nerubian... damn, I love it!||
... so we're replacing Ansurek's shadecaster messages with... some **pro-**Black Empire?!
That seems like a very oof tradeoff. >_> Freeing Gul'dan, cause that's the most important thing at the moment to shut down the Dark Portal.
Ansurek is pro black empire, vizier isn't : he's casting doubt about her objectives.
Neferess was protecting against every threat: including refusing the black empire!
The moment you mentioned that my brain clicked, I getcha - void = black empire, regardless of if it's Xal or the Old Gods. <-<
Ty for clearing that up for my dumb ass.
Exactly! 😁
Vizier is just showing to the people "Ansurek will sold your people to the black empire"
You're welcome! :)
Ty Neronn. Are you also a constellar / keeper, like Algalon? 'cause... he's also
pink.
Aha I like pink but Im simply a rider passing by! :)
That's the nitro booster symbol. 😁
Noice (I figured, due to the diamond symbol, but I had to make a little gag out of it)
It's fine, it's fine! 😁
OK mmm, I had two Radiant Echoes:
https://www.wowhead.com/item=228958/radiant-echo
and I completed the quest and then I deleted the second one because it said "This item starts a quest" but I had completed that quest...
But after deleting it, I realized that MAYBE I could have used it to access another Memory without starting a quest 😄
Don't tell me I wasted a Memory!
It is looted from Bountiful Coffer. In the Other Consumables category. An item from World of Warcraft: The War Within. Always up to date with the latest patch.

She's gonna eat him, isn't she
Confirmation: Food puns aside, she ended up eating him.
||na, rogue faction within the nerubian trying to get our side to ally with them to overthrow Da Queen||
Yus, I've arrived at (and am past) that point in the storyline. I still smell MC or other dark arts going on, since that's the only logical reason why you'd kidnap somebody (at least the only one I could speculate on rn, dunno what else they got planned ou o)
It’s not mind control. They got new orders
Anub’azal and Zek’val share the same pheromones because Zek’val is incapable of producing them
Zek’val wanted the guards protecting the prisoners, but Anub’azal ordered them to leave them
Who's ready to make their Earthen? I can't wait to make John Earth.
Since they can’t be distinguished between, the guards followed “Zek’vals orders” and abandoned the prisoners
I genuninely was upset I couldn't make one yet
I unlocked but I was lazy to make one. Still finishing the remaining quests. 😂
JOHN EARTH IS COMING FOR YOU
You mean that American post-bop/hard bop jazz trumpeter?
Probably!
anyone able to reccomend what spec to go in Enchanting?
oh i did that too now i cant interact with one
so... this channel going to be closed in 4 hours?
We sit down with World of Warcraft Game Director Ion Hazzikostas at Gamescom 2024 and talk the War Within!
00:00 Intro
00:32 Early Access Launch
01:52 How the role of WoW Game Director different now than 8 years ago
03:23 Chris Metzen & How WoW is made Differently Now
05:49 Warband Alts in Follower Dungeons
06:52 How Blizz Decided Xal'atath was...
amazing interview, those are imo the best question you can ask to Ion
he loves those
Everyone is saying Hallowfall is beautiful and I keep getting stuck on that everything about it feels wrong.
The weak light, weird shadows, the angled trees.
It just feels off and creepy.
I think that's somewhat intentional
Ion with the beard is hot ngl
I think that's the point
Like nothing about it is natural
The trees face the light
And are actually giant flowers
Weak shadows is Blizz light engine
No, I think it's on purpose to match the light not being an actual sun.
Wowhead doesn't have a summary yet? Any big things?
well, let me think...
Yeah cause their facing the only light source for photosynthesis
Idk who's in the world building department but they leveled up lol
I was very nervous about 3 underground zones but they are so huge and diverse that you really don’t feel like you’re in a cave after the ringing depths
That's fine, I'm just saying instead of beautiful the entire zone puts me on edge cause it triggers my uncanny valley.
Reminds me of how the world looks during an eclipse.
Which is probably the “vibe” that the zone designer was going for. It’s a very well done zone
Honestly I kind of wish blizzard would talk about the other zones a bit more
awe its so cute
IT IS BUT YOU CAN'T RIDE IT.
Only two versions of the lynx are available, but not the gray one.
I want the gray big floppa, Blizzard!
Name the quest?
sympathetic speakers, its the 3rd part of the msq in ringing deeps.
Other players are stuck standing around, one said it's been known issue since yesterday
totally breaks on last foreman.
D'oh. Good luck, hopefully it gets fixed soon.
Why not do something else in the meantime? Side quests, dungeons, delves, you name it.
hope so
or everyone getting in in a couple hours will be bottlenecked here
i wanted to see hallowfall today
well, you can hahahah
a friend of mine got lvl 80 in the Isle of Dorn
Yeah im lv79 and ive only done Dorn and half the side quests in RD, plus msq
sobbing about magni
so apparently just the first two chapters of the max level campaign that's open
and the first of those is like 2 quests

Gosh the news titles spoiling today's plot
launch trailer for tww seems to drop a little hint at future story
this is a cinematic we haven't seen yet. Looks to be in the Priory of the Sacred Flame
might be the epilogue of the main campaign. Hopefully Xal will tell us what the hell Beledar is sooner rather than later
Alright with the Stormward after Baelgrim:
||Why is Lufsela praised and made the new Stormward? She literally just stood there and did nothing||

Peculiar Fish
more like PECULIAR SQUID (or more accurately, octopus)
That's exactly what my ex-girlfriend told me trying to convince me that it was better to break up. 😅
Interesting promotion on the gear store
My theory it's part of her body
I've seen like 5 and it's annoying
In one they just used the complete wrong word.
good change imo, i'm 75 and i almost one shot everything
and its fun
gonna have to level my alt today it seems
before its too late
you're right yeah
idk i think the big issue was they let us gather all that gear that let us gear all our alts until like lvl 78.
why
because they let us over gear the first 3 zones and then went "omg yall this is undertuned"
if anything this is gonna be bad for the fresh 70s that don't have prepatch gear
Just use your Hearthstone to get home.
Haha 😂
New #Warcraft build found:
Internal 3 (wowdev3)🔐: 11.0.5.56036 --> 11.0.7.56337
Found at: 08-27-2024@06:48:53 UTC
lol
this is going faaaaaaaaast
we dont get a full spark yet do we
wait, we haven't even seen 11.0.5 yet haha
This might not be testable due it to being anniversary stuff
there's plot quests coming to though
And I'm still holding out hope for shaman changes
so I found how to unlock the leatherworking weekly quest, but I don't know if there's anything for patron orders yet
so I'm not convinced the world soul orbs are even popping
I've seen a lot on Hallowfall
Same!
they were everywhere before the weekly quest targetting them haha
I don't think
I could ever recommend the weekly quest besides the dungeon one
i think the point of the choice isn't for "whatever is the fastest" but more of "man i'm tired of doing X every week to get my rewards it would be nice if i could do a more relaxed approach this week"
it's more of "This is gonna take hours to finish vs a single dungeon"
it depends imo
maybe you don't want to do the dungeon that day
i think it's good to have choices
Indeed, but some choices do appear more annoying than others
I picked the snuffling one just to try cause I like kobolds
I found 0 orbs doing a bunch of stuff
hey guys, do you use any specific guide for profession content?
usually youtube
and if you wanna exploit early for 💸 youll find that too
nah i just wanna understand them hahaha
i lvl alchemy and herbalism back in DF and it was good
I just saw the one from wowhead
i usually follow wowhead guides for professions, they are usually pretty reobust
Just farmed these https://www.wowhead.com/guide/the-war-within/professions/knowledge-point-treasure-locations
speaking of professions, are NPC work orders (Patron) like an addition to weekly knowledge point quests? Or are the weekly knowledge point quests tied directly into completing patron work orders?
weekly knowledge is patron stuff
you can actually get more than you did in DF
right, but the weekly quests and the patron stuff are completely separate?
like u can do both weekly i guess is what i mean to say
You don't get a weekly crafting quest anymore, just work orders
ohhh i see
But that doesn’t apply to gathering professions I guess? 🤔
Gatherers don't do work orders
right ok so the weekly quests are only for gathering professions. crafting professions are Patron work orders got it got it
I think I got like 7 knowledge points on my tailor and leatherworker. Some recipes I don't have yet
Given this system is supposed to take us months to fill the rate doesn't seem horrible
Not sure whether this has been cleared up in the channel already, but (brief recap inc) at the start of Ringing Deeps you encounter a Skardyn during the first two quests. Myself and a few others were confused as to why the player knew what a Skardyn is by that point, as they aren't mentioned in the Isle of Dorn previously (to my knowledge).
WELP. Turns out I forgor about this: https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Skardyn Skardyn have been around "since the Cataclysm" (lore-wise since Grim Batol was cursed), but we never got a model in game nor did we encounter them with our characters... it stands to reason that we have previously learned about them though. Still a bit weird, but they aren't anything new (+ they are retroactively added to Grim Batol, from what I could gleam from the images for Season 1!)
from npc orders?
also i wonder if there is a cap to treasure knowledge
i think DF started without one so some people just spent legit 20 hours a day doing treasures and got maxed out
https://youtu.be/2BAG-G-qz_Y
... this better happen in game.

Oh, also, the cinematic implies Magni will regain his Diamond Form at some point, because it keeps showing him in certain moments in his diamond form - which would be a massive continuity slip-up otherwise. I'm assuming it will be his new Stoneform (that he can slip in / out of)
why would it? all those scenes he was in could easily be from before he regained his flesh
the only one that could possible maybe be after would be the defense of dornogal but i'm pretty sure they we're there when we defended the city at the start too?
The defense of Dornogal has Horde and Alliance banners, siege engines (for example the Horde Catapults) and a crap ton of other NPCs, like Sir Danath Trollbane - who canonically arrived by ship, at the end of the MSQ. 👀
hmm...that is a fair point. i missed the banners.
you get so much damn Hallowfall rep from the farm stuff
there's like 5 or 6 weeklies that are 200 rep each, 150 rep per rare
could mean he gets the ability to shift in and out of diamond form
Yeah, Stoneform
Dagran mentions Magni taught him how to activate Stoneform, so I suspect Magni will use exactly that to turn in and out of Diamond Form.
Most likely answer to this problem is…
They’re just not gonna show Magni de-diamondified
It’s a spoiler of the msq
So they wouldn’t put it in the trailer
I mean, true, but that also makes it a continuity-error by that logic. °-° So it's a trade-off, in a way.
It’s a trailer. It kind of exists outside of continuity
It’s meant to build hype and that’s really it
Look back at dragonflight. This is how they ended their trailer. Did this get-together ever happen in game or in lore? Nope
Best not to look too deep into these kinds of things
This is the last boss in one of the dungeons
Lol, the chamber of memory even uses the heart of azeroth animations
You'd think they wouldn't copy paste that hard
I wonder if the horrific visions portal will be used to visit memories
Oh, ty for letting me know. 👀 Haven't been to that one yet, looking forward to seeing that thing in game then. ❤️
That is a fair point. I'm going with fair likelihood he'll have a diamond-stoneform from now on.
... man, the story with Korgran (the Earthen who's slowly shutting down, who you help craft a lantern with) really is one painfully beautiful analogy for ||dementia and death||. T_T
Mmm General buff are OP
We get only one fragment of spark this week?
not like the initial first week of DF when we get a full one ?
are there any news about the 20th Anniversary event yet?
nope
okay, thanks
Should be on November 23 or something.
I think they said it's starting late October
I haven’t made it through the whole story yet, but if the Earthen restore the Machine, I feel like we can reasonably suspect that they will accompany us in droves over the next couple of expansions? I’m thinking back to the Earthen’s purpose was to essentially help the keepers maintain titan installations. Will they help us in decod and unearth more secrets of the other installations, such as Ulduar for the The Last Titan?
I cant imagine theyll play a huge role in Midnight, since that's already a ridiculously stacked cast to expect
but definitely in TLT
I think that whenever we uncover the "Grand conspiracy" at the core of azeroth, a lot of our new allies will be having to make hard choices
arathi and earthern specifically
Yup I could totally see that. People gonna die
Even though earthern all went unbound, I still feel like they're pretty titan aligned and maybe not quite ready to fully turn against them
And there's definitely a lot of questions about who arathi are going to be loyal to, especially if one of the other big fleets or the emperor shows up
although given they did a half assed schism storyline for them already with priory that doesn't seem like it was for anything other than an excuse for a dungeon I'm a bit less convinced that that'll happen any time soon
Prior to TWW's reveal, my expectation was always that in our big Light vs Void clash, Yrel and the Lightbound would show up as our big ally in the Light
but once we finished, they'd turn around to us and go "you next"
now I wonder if the Arathi Empire will fill that role instead
I'm somewhat doubtful as to the whole "ally in the light" thing to begin with
Metzen definitely framed Midnight as the very typical thing we've always been expecting, forming an army of allies under the Light to "banish the void forever"
I still feel like it's coming down to unbound/mortals vs all the cosmic forces
which is part of why I think once that's done, then we'll get the "evil Light" premise
feels to me like Iridikron's whole plan was to orchestrate a win-win situation for himself via Xal'atath
either she wins, and the Titans are forced to return to fend off the void, or we win, and the threat of our massively skewed Light army forces us to call down the Titans
either way, he gets what he wants out of his bargain
Maybe. I feel like metzen was pretty careful with what he said, and even if it's technically true there's gonna be a lot we don't expect
Oh definitely, he doesnt even mention the why of us calling down the Titans for TLT
There’s some side quests that indicate the earthen have some good reason to dislike the titans beyond just wanting to be unbound
The namesake of Dornogal, the Titan watchers Dornic and Galan, went batshit insane and just started murdering earthen. Afterwards the earthen basically got mind wiped.
The earthen killed Dornic already
It seems like the earthen were always intended to be these mindless machines but something strange happened to them that caused them to actually gain real sentience and the desire to be unbound
Probably just Azeroth or smth
Light being evil is the last thing I want. Light is good, void evil. After what Xal’atath did so far it’s very obvious.
i don't think is that simple
Why not? 😂
Xe'ra wanted to transform Illidan into a being of light even though he didn't want to
Xe’ra, the Prime Naaru has been restored and offers the gift of power to fulfill a prophecy in the battle against the Legion.
For the latest information visit: http://WorldofWarcraft.com
Case in point
The light and void are two sides of the same coin
Two extremes, neither of which should be followed to the fullest extent
if they were opposing then that one quest the on npc that helps anduinn find his light wouldnt have said light alone cant banish this darkness and we wouldnt have had to go kill things
This isn’t to say that there isn’t good in all forces too. Every cosmic force has its downside
Nature can be all consuming, like on draenor. But it can also be nurturing and kind like what we’ve seen on Azeroth
Whereas death is mostly good too, but it follows a purpose, one which was broken by pretty evil guys like denathrius and Zovaal
And even in titans. Despite now being discovered to be more villainous, we still have titans like Aggramar and Eonar who are kind and compassionate
Duality exists in all things, even within mortals.
I mean, there sure are a lot of parallels made between the latter two
I believe the Titans think they were somewhat afflicted by the curse of flesh.
The book says they were shocked the Earthen of Khaz Algar developed a similar culture and language after being afflicted
I swear, warband banks have been the buggiest thing ever
Yeah I remember that but did it say it was the curse of flesh?
apparently chapter 4 of max level campaign is available too
although the spawn rate on quest mobs is terrible
and one of the cutscenes refused to work properly for me
did all the scripted movement etc, but it never entered the cutscene camera so I saw my character run away and disappear
as well as all the behind camera movement
look at me go, bye cutscene me
This expansion seems to be exactly what WoW needed
At least so far it seems like that
oh servers just all crashed
NA?
i'm still on lol
I had the same bug. Was stuck and /reload kept looping the cutscene with the npc flooding in loop " Its in my blood ! " , then my game crashed, I logged in back, and my corpse was falling far from the sky into the ground
yeah it was strange. When I relogged when stuck I just went to the end of the quest properly, at least
I tried like 4 times and it never worked properly
It was also doing the thing where it breaks voice lines until you restart
i'm stuck on retrieving character list lol NVM we good
4/5 done on max level campaign. No earthern unlock, I guess that's still on the third
those two quest were long as hell, the next one will be hallowfall attack ?
will the first campaign end on a cutscene of Xal in the Priory , and then the raids open ?
I dunno, I think this was as far as beta ever got
Yep, all story that was available on beta is now available on live
Anything else that comes out is brand new
I'm pretty sure xal'atath has buggered off deeper in pursuit of the world soul, empowering the nerubians to fight back is mostly just a distraction
Also feel like we've not seen much in terms of raw power from xal'atath herself
Dalaran exploded thanks to the dark heart. She has ways of manipulating people, but unless they've been corrupted by the black blood it's far from foolproof
Well, we know she shows up in Hallowfall one more time in the base story
all her illusions don't seem to be that difficult to dispel either
Release trailer had this one quick shot, the only cinematic we haven’t seen yet
Where do we know that from?
ah
Curious, then
I have been suspecting that beledar is linked to the world soul somehow, although I think that's because it's been put there by the light specifically to do that
And it turning to shadow is reflecting the state of the world soul somehow
we know the black blood and beledars corruption were both started by the sword
question is why would Sargeras do it? Or was that an accident by him
The fel want to claim the world soul as much as anyone else
sargeras striking out as he was defeated possibly wasn't the most logical action he could have taken, but damaging the light/order hold on the world soul probably still suits the fels purposes
could be the cinematic after defeating Ansurek?
im loving the side quest of Isle of Dorn
This exactly happened to me as well, very frustrating - ontop of the boss not spawning for 5 mins
That's a very fancy floor, probably at the end of Nerub'ar palace, or campaign finale.
I'm betting this, or Campaign Finale.
solid guess tbh
thats also mine
the major questline we havent seen was chapter 5 of the campaign and i suspect that chapter 5 is also tied to the raid
hence the new story mode
They already said chapter 5 is coming next week with earthen unlock
The raid won't be until the week after
The end of chapter 5 will probably lead into the raid story wise
I'm glad that starting week 2 all alts can get their hands on a free heroic crafting upgrade item
it's a pity you can't get 100% uptime on gleeful glamours
what is gleeful glamours?
or are?
idk if its is/are b/c idk what that is
it's the echanting crafting item that lets you look like any other race in the game
At max quality it lasts 60 minutes for a 2 hour cd
ah
from what
I'm gonna assume the reward from finishing the campaign and killing the last boss is the crafting item again
it was for all of DF
just a random thought but man, this expansion would be the perfect one to hide one of those secret mounts like during the BFA/Legion era
just imagine a little hole in the wall of hallowfall, leads to a breadcrumb that ends up having you explore every nook and cranny of these caverns
im pretty pissed that the endgame cutscenes all dont have audio right now
it isn't just the endgame cutscenes as well; none of the characters in the endgame have their poke lines as in the VO for them just stopped playing. I encountered this in the first few endgame quest and throughout the endgame campaign.
and it seems to only be the endgame campaign where this bug pops up because everything before that is fine.
The only way to fix this once you start noticing it is to completely exit out the game.
logging out will do nothing from what I've tried.
you have to exit and relaunch to fix it
the CVAR is being turned to 0
someone fucked something up
That's what I meant by completely exiting out of the game 😅 apologies for that not being clear enough. Also, yeah someone messed up monumentally.
Yea audio is somewhat bugged and servers are lagging too.
Well, as always Blizzard didn't expect the "massive" success and the millions of players logging in these days 😅
Yea
There is something that might be linked with the Earthen. We learn that the Awakening machine powering up the earthen is directly taking its power from the world soul.
The earthen memories are encased in crystal shard that are also linked with a deeper facility that handle the crystal and make a giant archive.
We also learn that the Delve giga boss goal is to destroy Azeroth's memories he find
What if the Beledar is a giant crystal storing Azeroth's memories , like the Earthen ? Or function like her Brain ?
I guess it being worldsoul energy was the implication of the magni cutscene
I don't think beledar is connected to the earthern, but memories are definitely a common plot point all over the place
Why did Titans need access to the world center? Good question.
I have a feeling that we'll have some earthmother moment in the rootland, I've not quite a cohesive theory but the old god depicted on the mural of the city of thread might have been this " earthmother " aka a benevolant - proto old god that repelled the " darkness " by fusing with the earth, and in the end, her heart was ripped out and her body began to be infused with the blood of the old gods and the void through sacrifice during the black empire, hoping to reawaken her ( Her heart is a crater, and we have filled it )
The titan found her heart and ordered it to transform it into a new world soul or something like this
Azeroth's heart has had a crater for a while
That line is related possibly to the sword, but I always figured it was the Maelstrom
The Haranir feel more Elune aligned than Azeroth but I'm sure we'll see soon.
They're almost certainly guarding the roots of the tree Elune gifted Eonar.
Their strict rules of hiding and non interference feels orderly enough to be Eonar too.
I don't put a whole lot of stock in the weird old god whispers
they're way too open to interpretation
Yeah there’s a line of text in a side quest where one Harronir just straight up name drops Elune’ahir
I think it’s pretty clear why the Coreway exists tho
The world soul
Titan containment prison around it?
I personally think Azeroth is not a fledgling world soul but a First One who was struck down somehow and created the planet Azeroth around herself while she healed. Titans found her, decided to start implanting installations to convert her to be more in line with Titan ideals, also placing a containment prison around her so that she wouldn’t wake up until they think she’s “aligned” enough
The whole “what is to come” from the jailer is whatever caused Azeroth to go into stasis in the first place
The Anomaly is what the Keepers called it
Aman'thul may have hid it's origin from the Keepers and Watchers though
I mean
The keepers are the ones who found it
And they were the ones who sent the earthen there in the first place to build it
were they? I thought the Titans helped set it up given what the Earthen records say haha
They were all involved
There was a geographical anomaly that allowed access to the inside of the planet and the titans wanted it guarded
That’s what the coreway is
It’s more of a defensive measure than anything else
It wouldn't be the first time the Keepers act in the name of the Titans while the Titans are far away if not gone
Well seemingly the titans probably knew about it too
Hell Elunaria is RIGHT next to it after all
We don’t know how old the coreway is in relation to the titans arrival on Azeroth
My guess is jt was established soon after the destruction of the black empire
They probably went: “oh shit, world soul” and then “oh shit easy access lets guard that while we do freaky titan shit”
Given the roots, odds are it's the hole Aman'thul made
Source?
TBF, my brain's scrambled rn, so I may have just forgotten that already
Observational Report: Earthen is looted from an Ancient Volume in Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr.
Very possible
That said it seems he just pulled out the tree and left the stump
We’ll see, but I def think you could be right
nah, the book was clear only roots remained
Eonar wept bitter tears that rained down upon the resulting crater.
"It is said that much later, as the world entered a new age, mysterious guardians arrived who dedicated their lives to protecting the roots.
But that is a tale for another time."
That's the Haranir
Freya was also tasked to watch it which we know cause the Freywolds
so it's there.
The Earthen must have been created after the war with the black empire though
tyvm, valid, valid
Though it somewhat implies the core way was built before the machines were
Oh no I agree I’m just saying I don’t know if he physically reached into the planet and pulled it out or did he just pull out whatever was on the surface
Because all we know is the roots are for sure there
It’s hard to explain without like visualizing it
Crater sounds big
Odds are the Sea in Hallowfall could be magical because of Eonar's Tears assuming it isn't just legend.
does she say the same to newer players who never played Legion questline?
is it possible to complete all questlines in hallowfall yet?
It might be
I'm missing just two questlines. One is a 24 hour wait and another just requires 80
(Season of Discovery PTR related) I have found a new raid instance portal in Silithus likely related to a new Thunderaan raid
Idk if this channel is retail only, sorry if so
Nope its a general channel 🙂
Technically a general channel but generally very little care for anything outside of retail
Tbh I think they should have a separate channel for classic/SoD to encourage the discussion
In short, my forecast for TWW: Act 1 is a war with the Nerubians, Act 2 will be around goblins, earthen and their machines, Act 3 with Xal
One of the patches has to focus on the rootlands and the Harronir
No way we aren’t doing that
I think its Undermine and Rootlands
With Rootlands probably having an actual name eventually
Naaah too easy. Xal is Act 1, Act 3 is against Azeroth herself so we close WoW with a bang! 😅 And we need another planet.
We definitely don't need a new planet.
Would be perfect for WoW 2
MMO sequels tend to struggle
Only one I know of that's surpassed it's original is Guild Wars 2
for whatever reason, in game they've gone with Haranir despite the files and artwork book saying Harronir.
Doesn’t seem to be
They’re using haranir a lot in game
Might be intentional to make the name sound closer to Elune Ahir
The race's name is spelled "harronir" in the game files and The Art of World of Warcraft: The War Within, but only the "haranir" spelling is used in-game. according to the wiki, although it wouldn't surprise me if there were both spellings somewhere still
does seem like haranir is the new/official version
So I finished today, I think they changed the criteria for the one that's fine the lost treasures
They give transmog for it, haha 😂
Goblins can only fit into a filler raid, like trial of Valor.
Raids always lean into being more “serious” endeavours in comparison with dungeons. And you can not be serious with goblins and gnomes.
Undermine deserves a lot more than just a mega dungeon
dose seige master black fuse not count form mop
well tbh he wasnt like a serious threat or anything
but he was a cool raid boss
We already have WoW 10
Destroying Azeroth is a bad idea because it is the foundation of the game universe. Then you can just name the game differently and make it simple in the Warcraft universe. As a single offshoot . But for sure no one will do it within the framework of wow
It's like making a new TES on another planet, or a new f Baldur's gate, or new Dragon age
twirls moustache muahaha not a new planet, under the planet, points at hollow azeroth theory
it's just becoming a bit much, you never can get back up to the current events that allready happened all
10 expansions with each their updates and extra events added
it's becoming a bit much
Wtf I get Xal's old model
i really like the cave design in this expansion
It's all old layouts I'm pretty sure.
There's a couple we haven't seen in a while though
There's a couple spiral cave layouts that are from Wrath
ooh those are from Wrath
is the AH broken?
Yes.
I'd have to double check but I'm pretty sure that's the magnataur layout
Its probably nuts I recognize cave layouts at all

Did they fix the cutscene voice acting btw? Want to know if I should do the chapter yet haha
Sadly not
I did the stormriders chapter snd there was no voice acting in the cutscene which ruined a beautiful moment
i had no idea the mereldar bells go off EVERYTIME beledar goes to shadow
thats cool
Bro not me feeling emotional at the end of the ringing deeps. I know its just a game but damn.
Why?
Magni's Sacrifice - In Game Cinematic
Nonetheless, Aquarius, please initiate a direct teleport to the #no-wow-discussion channel. I’ve got some intriguing data to share.
i loved that ending man
Questline is epic, Metzen knows how to catch emotion.
Last time I did Loremaster out of enjoyment was in Legion.
honestly yeah the whole campaign is great
Metzen said he came on board when WW was mostly developed, this may very well have been by somebody else. :0 Regardless of that though, it's a wonder cinematic 🙂
Yea
I really love this expansion so far
Best one since Legion so far imo
I cant wait to see more of Danath Trollbane, and his views on the Arathi
Also if he will play a role in meeting the Emperor
i've done like, a ton of side quest with my shaman for leveling, they all reward rings
rings or bracers
Good observation 🙂
People like to praise Metzen as if he always did everything by himself. And seem too eager to ignore his past mistakes in lore or his terrible past creative decisions. He is just human. 😉
Plus, he is Executive Creative Director now, the Creative Director for TWW is called Chris Robinson, who no ones care for.
Also, Metzen did say in a recen interview that WoW team and storytelling is much more democratized now - so no, no one ever does anything "by himself".
As long as there is no „good is bad, bad is good” type of writing I am ok. 😅
It worked a little wrong.
He is not responsible for this, he is responsible for the general course of history
yes but the rewards are weekly-ish?
some are some aren't. rep account based. gold/gear character based. pretty sure the coffer keys and whatnots from the special assignments are also character based and not accountwide cause that would be turbo bad.
the weekly quests IE the "choose your own weekly stuff"/dungeon weekly are character based but if the reward is rep it's just less reward when you do it "over" on an alt
the chest for the weekly seems to randomly give out loot too some characters got 3600g one item and some other things where some get 1600 gold 2 items and some other stuff.
Maybe this sounds dumb, but I get the feeling a new neutral magic city will be build that replaces Dalaran, which would be a joint operation between Alliance and Horde
not anytime soon
considering midnight is in silvermoon and the last titan is in ulduar
pretty much guaranteed Ulduar itself should be the capital city in TLT
No not soon indeed, but eventually
It's gonna be Dalaran rebuilt
Ulduar is gonna be a raid
We might just kill Odyn in Ulduar 2.0, but it's coming
13.0 Iridikron, 13.1 Odyn in Ulduar, 13.2 Seat of the Pantheon.
absolutely not. It'll be the titan's turf from wich they launch their invasion. its the place were Odyn is atm and speaking with all the other Keepers, it's very much titans HQ for TlT
My bet will be ICC or some stuff like that ( or even better, Iridikron's stronghold that is supposed to be beneath Dragonblight )
Dalaran might be something kept from the end of this expack of Midnight somehow.
I really hope ICC will play a role again
Pretty much a given
Ohhh why? (genuine question)
It would give DK's even more content xD
because we are going to northrend
Ohhhh
I think you can credit him to injecting life in the team, lots of interviews said they felt renewed once metzen came in, and that's something I feel like you can feel in the game compared to dragonflight
I think part of what it is, is that Metzen isnt looking at next patch or the patch after
hes looking at the next 6+ years and saying what is the story we want to tell?
once you know that it becomes a lot more fun because you can narrow in on smaller stories and have that bigger influence play a role, even if it isnt center stage
both the isle of dorn and hallowfall leave Xal as just an influence for their problems
only Azj-Kahet and Ringing Deeps move Xal to center stage
vs Dragonflight where every zone had the primalists as the core issue in some way or another
and at no point did they feel evil or threatening really
just annoying
I very much agree
Did Lightforged get some specific dialogue? Like void elves and Dracthyr did?
I dunno, I don't think we're going back to all of Northrend
If I was a guessing man, we'll get Storm Peaks, Flooded Zul Drak, Crystalsong, Dragonblight, Grizzly Hills, and Howling Fjord.
Howling Fjord and Grizzly Hills as one zone would be cool.
We'll get ulduar as a whole zone I bet
One of the og plans was ulduar to be a continent, I imagine a fully rebuilt titan esque city is in the cards
I guess in a year when we see how they do Quel'thalas we'll get a better idea
but whatever it is will be 4 zones at launch
some old ones can be combined
I bet we see Scholazar too
Honestly current wrath could easily be 4 zones
Borran Tundra and Scholazar as one, dragonblight and icecrown as one, grizzlyhills, and howling fjord, maybe zul farrak is fully left out, and then storm peaks and ulduar are combined
Honestly we technically haven’t seen how the cataclysm affected northrend - it should have but it hasn’t
Or maybe something will happen before TLT that will change those zones
Maybe the titan machinery underneath it will rise up
pretty sure one book or another said Zul Drak was flooded
It's kind of interesting the arc of this world soul saga after reading this discussion. Obviosuly Khaz Algar is a completely new zone- but i feel still has ties to Vanilla and even before the start of World of Warcraft. From the Arathi to the Nerubians, Earthen, Skardyn, etc. It feels like a big reset for new and old players. Lots of new protagonists and new villains which I feel hasn't been in WoW since Vanilla itself. Then we have Midnight which is going back to Silvermoon and is obviously directly tied to TBC. Hopefully we could see changes to Azuremyst Isle for the Dranei, and maybe even some rejuivanted Netherstorm content (doubt it tho). And then obviously we have The Last Titan which is going to take place in Northrend and Ulduar. It makes alot of sense to me and feels like a big reset with the "original trilogy" to put it so bluntly. And now we are back to where we started with another trilogy that revisits the origins of what WoW is all about.
I love it.
It’s really cool. It all feels familiar but it’s cool seeing how times have changed
The threat facing the Sunwell being the void instead of death or chaos
And in northerend the threat being order and the elements instead of death
I absolutely cannot wait to see silvermoon revamped. I’m really hoping the city itself is actually just an entire zone. Same goes with Zul Gurub
Like Suramar on turbo steroids
Zul Gurub, Ghostlands, Silvermoon City, Eversong Woods. Those could work as our zones imo, with Quel Danas being patch content like the forbidden reach
I'm really hoping we get some plaguelands and maybe even lorderon revamp too. With that 10.2.7(?) patch and reclaiming gilneas, they definitely are setting it up for a good portion of the norther part of the eastern kingdoms to be revamped, imo. Idk if that fucks with Undead, Worgen, and Blood Elf starting zones too much tho. Although there is always Chromie for those inconveniences.
To be honest this is mostly technical but I'm really not sure how they meld Quel'Thalas with the rest of Eastern Kingdoms since current zones are SO much bigger than our original continents. It feels like it could be disjointed. It would be kind of lame if they kept it instanced from the rest of the continent still.
Maybe, just maybe the whole thing gets zapped into the void and that entire part is essenitally another "world"
Like just on a completely differet plane. Maybe thats was Xal achieves. With the Dark Heart she conjured a huge void "sphere" and while that obliterated Dalaran. Assuming maybe Khadgar lived, he could have been transported to a void realm instead of being snapped into oblivion. Maybe Xal gets the Dark Heart powered to a place where she can do a mega void sphere and her intent is to bring the power of the Quel'Thalas and the sunwell to the void so her master (if she has one) can devour it.
I'm gonna wager that Silvermoon is our next City of the Threads
the devs seem to think we love that design so much, but I think City of the Threads is no Suramar myself
it feels honestly less threatening that suramar. The guards are merely an inconvenience and I had to force myself to be expelled from the city for the achievement.
Mostly because we already have the flying mount I guess.
They should have put some anti air force to force us to walk into the city instead of flying everywhere
the power of pheromones I guess
Yeah there is also an npc telling us that the Nerubian can hardly see and differenciate a gnoll from a goblin for example, but for the smell
I speedrunned a lot of quests because of flying which was great, but on some points it would fit better if you are forced to walk
yep, for example they could make us fly into the market but other area like the transformation ground and the palace suburb should be a no fly zone
We're on hostile territory dammit xD
Anybody else here hate the darkness mechanic?
I mean it’s their first time even attempting to replicate it in 8 years, so I don’t think they believe people love it as much as you think lol
If anything, the weirder thing is that they took so long to try and iterate on Suramar, given how much of a smash hit it was in Legion
they've mentioned Suramar multiple times in interviews I feel
I'm just a bit wary of them doing enemy city we walk around back to back with Silvermoon
I suppose we can sorta handwave it as Xal'atath wants us there but still.
yet the flying stuff ruined it... It should have been something you would unlock as you undermine the queen's influence in the city. Like the vizier find a way to put pheromone to your mount that prevent aerial defences from shooting you down in a late renown or stuff.
Nerubian can shoot a Arathi ship and lock it down, yet there are tons of stranger flying above their city and they don't mind <_<
I wonder what Xal would want in northerend which is the last expansion
dunno... I think the light and the void will become something else by the end of midnight and that life death, light and shadow will gather to repel Order and help us. Harmony of the cosmos seems to be a big topic since SL and the convergence and unification of all forces seems to be a setted goal
Xal and Iridikron might become unlikely allies in the Last Titan
Or maybe xal just wants to sit on the frozen throne. Although she really needs to touch grass. Like she floats she needs to walk on the land
And then we still have iridikron since he gave her the dark heart
He wants to destroy the titans. converging goal in the last titan
That's why he was not bent on destroying us and underestimating us in Dragonflight I guess. He want us by his side when the time comes
Wait until he finds out the void is no better than the titans
The Void will be dealt with in Midnight, as the Light. I think something like the end of Amirdrassil will happens and the Harmony of Azeroth will put the two fighting children at peace
We have the Crown of Harmony mending life and death together. We will have something else for the light and the shadow
Thats what will infuriate the titans. They'll begin to see they are on the losing side of the cosmos battle and that their influence will pass ( and that azeroth is gaining free will and is destroying their precious timeline )
Iridikron doesn't like the void either
He was disappointed in Neltharion for giving in to it
but yet he allied with it, and doesnt seems concerned at all by the perspective of Xal succeeding, which proves that the goal is not to summon dimensius to devour Azeroth , but that what she will do we lure the titans in
He thinks if the world soul is threatened the Titans will come. And he's right
His only goal is to get them here to fight.
What plan he has to actually kill them who knows
But Iridikron's entire thing is about long term scheming
yep that's whyI think he knows what Xal will do and he knows that the goal is not to leave Azeroth as a piece of rubble.
I also think Iridikron somehow had an ally that knows a lot about the timeline ( Murozond ? ) since he seems to know a lot of stuff about it
I wonder if it was part of his plans that Fyrakk was going to literally cleanse the planet with fire?
Considering that in the end Fyrakk also considered him a traitor
I wonder what fyrakk would of thought of Xal
And 100% was going to kill him too
I think he saw Fyrakk has a variable he couldn't fully control, he just channeled his anger toward a single goal and led him to the shadowflame knowing we were enough to stop him I guess. He didn't even care. after all, we dealt with Deathwing that was ten time more powerful ( and it was a really nice diversion too )
I also think he fully knew Vyranoth would be swayed by Alexstrasza

That must have been the hell of a travel in stealth mode though
Rogue with Shadowmeld 2.0
