might have an addon auto creating or interfereing
but looks like you have inputs going off and might want to test hardware
I never experienced it on beta but I haven't been on for a while
that template thing might be why its changing race/class each time too
I think that's just always random
Was thinking about it, but my normal wow doesnt have this problem, only beta
what about seeing character s from all realms on one screen?
Is it normal for everyone?
Yes, you should. That was part of 11.0
ok thx
reinstalled all
still stuck
for future reference, problem started when i created a char and used gear boost
Both characters i used it on are still "processing" after 6 hours
Found this thread:
the problem is connected to some characters being "faulty", and when the character is deleted, error stops
TLDR:
Add:
SET disableAutoRealmSelect "1"
to Beta > WTF > config file
it repairs it
then you can log in to other realm, delete faulty characters and its okay
But if you log in to the realm that faulty characters are on, bug is back
very odd, maybe just a beta thing if its linked to gear update though
there are often beta specific issues
did some more testing and read other people problems just so i can later send more detailed bug report on forums:
Whole bug is connected to gear update option for new character.
When i use gear update, character might becomes "stuck". If i try to log in on it, it logouts me back with message that i cannot log in on that char until the updating process completes.
This is when the error occures.
Since by default, when you launch wow, it goes to the last active realm, you log in on the realm that the faulty character is on, and then it bugs out and sends you into the character creation loop, and you cannot do anything or even delete the faulty character.
The whole realm that has a faulty character is bugged out, and logging in on it causes the loop.
So by adding:
SET disableAutoRealmSelect "1"
to the config file, when you launch wow, you can choose what realm you log in on.
You can then log in to different realm, where you can still see faulty characters, but since you are not logged in on realm they are on, you can delete them, and it resolves a problem.
I will not try this, but theoretically, if i tried to use gear boost option on all 4 realms, there would not be any realm that i can safely log in on to delete them, and my account would be completely unusable
Made a reddit thread on the fix for others 😄
Also now i tried again to use gear boost, but it allways get stuck and i have to delete that character
Can anyone else use gear boost and not get the bug?
are they allowing the dragon race to become any class or is that just speculation?
this has been confirmed for ages now. When they unlock it is another question
didnt know that, thanks
do we know the classes they can be?
not currently
We know Warrior and Mage at least
probably the same classes that everyone can be if I were to guess
and paladins should be for any race soon enough because "as long as the race believes it is doign right they can use the light"
that just depends whenever theyre not feeling lazy and just make a horse
mage, rogue, warrior, hunter, warlock are a given. Druid, shaman, paladin are all "possibles"
DKs and DH are nos
cause DKs are once again timelocked to pre-SL
There were no awake Dracthyr back then
Now Bolvar has 0 power
what happens when a DK is killed
I don’t see you logic here, the point is there’s no one with the power currently to convert dead Dracthyr into DK Dracthyr
well to make a dk you revive them right
To put it simply sure.
Dead person, bring them back alive. However to create a DK you need a special type of bringing back. And not everyone/anyone can do that. Only the Lich king has/had that power
so is that power tied to the helm then?
I believe so
didnt we make a new one 🤔
We used the helm and turned it into the crown of unity and gave it to pelagos
I’d assume the runecarver could helm us make another helm of domination but like others pointed out last time this was brought up. We took care of the majority of the rampaging undead in the prepatch of SLs so a Lich king might not be required anymore. But we will/might get more info on that in TLT since we are heading back to northrend
wtf they BUFFED weapons of order?
isnt it already strong?
oh apparently not
apparently this is bringing in line the covenant version of the ability
They removed DKs from Earthen so my assumption is no new dk races til they have another lore excuse to add more
Well I mean
How earthens can be dks if they not made of flesh?
magic
i mean, they are alive, so i guess they would have to just be unalived then raised with death magic
They not alive in the way of life beings
They just powered with energy
Just like machines with electricity
So how can be they be dks?
In lore way in gameplay way its doesn't matter
Dracthyr druids when
Haha 😂
Drac druids before human druids and I'll riot
I'm sorry, but Dracthyr are directly connected to green dragon magic and can be taught directly by Cenarius and Merithra. /hj
how can undead be DK if human are just undead? or vice versa?
also with Calia's story in SL they basically said that 'undead' are just people who are resurrected through some form of power/magic, earthen DK's would probably just be something like they found a way of injecting death magic instead of the normal titan magic to animate them
Who knows, but whatever reason they had dks and it got removed
Likely because there isn't really a reason for them to be victims of the 4th war.
yeah, I'm surprised they did the new DK start like that tbf
They was life beings before they was made dks
Because lore wise all dks was a living beings before their death
While with titans stuff its just stone boys/girls
So death magic can't do shit to them
But others magic can
Still wonder how pure void corrupt stone
Right now its just "hahahaha bloodbath uwuwuwuwuw"
Its probably one of those power rules
Like, you can't become undead if you wasn't bio-alive
Or you can't wield light if you don't truly believe in your actions
And yada yada i don't remember them all
Its just different to each one and not the same for the other
But i want like to see how the earthen dks will work
I mean, undead DK's?
Um yes
Blood elves, Nightborne, Lightforged, Void elves
they're all races infused with other magics
They was a human
Lived
Then Died
Was rised as undead
Uprised as dks
I don't understand where did you saw a problem lol?
what makes them DK's is being raised into undeath with death magic
not that they are life beings
if anything only a few of the playable races are life aligned :p
trolls and tauren mainly
being fleshy and mortal doesn't make you a life being, if anything it makes you closer to death magic
there's evidence of this in-game actually, not only just generally shadowlands, but specifically in Zereth Mortis we see "progenitor" /prototype versions of a variety of animals and races
so yeah there's no reason earthen couldn't be DK's logically, just the story isn't open for them yet
if anything you could have a specific little narrative for them if we can't fix their charging system, where some of them go and find death magic to charge themselves to regain their 'immortality'
Hi folks, are the EU beta servers down? This is my first beta so I am not sure if I've done something wrong, or if this is normal and the servers look this way for everyone?
Ah okay, thanks
login screen updated?
a couple of builds ago yeah
on live
oh, my bad hahaha

Today or never

I mean we could get some at launch
didn't the sylvanas one only launch with the scenario it's set in
Exception to rule
Legacies was like that, warbringers, afterlifes and etc.
that's not what "mean" means in that sentence xD
I now. It's a pet peave of mine people starting sentences with "I mean"
So unnecessary
doesn't mean anything tbf, they've shown they're willing to hide things before launch more and more. We're expecting the Haronir to be fully implemented on launch
it's a phrasing to not come off as aggressive/passive aggressive for me
i hope we get VR cinematics
To be I see it as more passive aggressive lmao
like if I just replied going "We could get some at launch" it seems a bit too direct
I prefer that
like I'm just trying to tell you you're wrong instead of just opening the floor for discussion
by saying "I mean" it's like "ehh well this is counter to that but could go either way"
To me the "I mean" thing does that more than saying directly. But it's just persona preference
To me it comes of as "nah you're wrong cos..."
It makes sense when it's used sparingly in a long back and forth conversation
But on first response it seems passive aggressive
What cinematic? I thought they just released one
2d cinematics*
previous expansions they've had around 3 of these animated shorts
and generally released them weekly
although not always weekly
Interesting 🤔
All expansions since legion had 3 of them
And then poof
And each one went once every week before the launch
Yeah
Well not one atleast
Pandaria have more
But in general they was releasing every weak before expansions (i don't remember mop cause it was too long ago
)
Is TWW beta down?
probably?
beta typically goes down once the equivalent patch goes out
since we are now on 11.0.2
they want people off the beta so they can prep for 11.0.5 or 11.0.7
rip. I wanted to check out more stuff but the campaign has been bugged since.
wasnt bugged
intentionally disabled
they were done testing that stuff
pretty normal once expac launch starts to come around
they could turn it back on, but its unlikely
gods i hope they're not done m+ testing
¯_(ツ)_/¯
the version we have on live is probably 6 patches behind tbh
and they certainly have a lot of runs to filter through
I thought beta lasted much closer to launch for DF
beta wasnt public
they also didnt push the final build this early
but the final build has the remix stuff
and remix ends monday(?)
so there isnt another major reset before remix
looks like it isnt down forever yet
@finite kayak
oh, a launch test, weird
probably for the best if they're gonna have people paying for 3 days early access
I mean - DF had a seamless launch
So I’m sure that’s not the point
It’s for load testing
I mean yeah but we already saw what happened with prepatch
and didn't DF have a launch test?
Launch will be broken anyway
unless you were on a big realm
they had to spawn portals cause the boats broke haha
Boats and ships wasn't spawning at all sometimes
Or was teleport you into the nowhere
Is chamber of heart accessable after pre-patch?
Wanted to get back to horrific visions to get weapon illusion but its closed on live rn
HI! What is the warlock spec to go in TWW? I like to do M+! TY
What's the current M+ situation on beta? Is it still Fortified + Tyrannical + the 20% increase affix + the xalatha affix? I recently heard something about affixes that only boost specific damage types
those affixes were only on briefly, since replaced by the xalatath ones
the damage boosting ones, that is
Anyone has link to the spreadsheet for bis item list for every class in the tww?
Hello, does anyone know if we will be able to attend siege of boralus on a cross faction group ? Is the dungeon been reworked for TWW ?
it's the alliance version of the dungeon iirc
but yeah you can go with a cross faction group
Alright
Omg he is alive! She try to do something to him! 😱
Try to kill another favorite npc again !
Weird to keep it hidden til now then throw it on beta two weeks early
it's basically a week tho
anyone who might care about spoilers will likely have EA
We must act swiftly and terminate her before she strikes.
yeah 1 week early, didn't think they'd test it at all tbh
khadgar definitely tried, that blast was everything the man had.
but she swallows all through her dark heart anyway
oh yeah
oh wow they're testing the whole intro
22:30, meh
I took my glasses off and for a second though Khadgar is holding a shotgun

I mean it's pretty much the same thing
idk man, these cinematics recently are just huge steps down from the ones we got in Legion / BFA.
BFA was goated with cinematics
I'm struggling to feel anything story wise with the lead up to TWW
they just feel so uninspired.
it really is weird because I thought they were going to go all in on the story and what not for the next 3 expacs, it's starting out really weak
I'm hyped for the expansion gameplay wise, and the theme is cool (I love dwarves and underground shit) but man.... the marketing of the story has been ass
Yeh weaker than DF even
like, they look good, but the actual dialogue and animations just feel really stiff and static
And DF story was terrible
Xal comes across as so unthreatening. It's like they're actors who rehearsed their lines and are on stage for a play
The lead up up to BFA was so exciting. Between the three S tier 2.5,d cinematics and things like Old Soldier it felt like the beginning of a real saga
Well to be fair this is like only one cinematic out of the tons we’ll be getting later in the expansion
I'd say speak for yourself, she's manipulated countless people across thousands of years to get to this point she is plenty threatening and we are literally seeing how strong she is now.
I'm judging the expansion lead up
Like none of the ones during questing have even been seen
Yeah even then we haven’t seen the others in Dalaran
And none of this comes across in how she is presented
This seems to be only half a cinematic too
Again, I'm comparing what was presented before the expansion of TWW with what was presented before the expansion with BFA
There may very well be more cinematics. But that's not what I'm comparing/saying
I'm saying the pre-release story buildup is shit
Well it’s arguably not better than BFA sure. But also the war of thorns was a pretty shit pre expansion event
Didn’t exactly drum up hype itself
I think it's been fine? The pre-patch event is a tad dull, but I think the devs were heavily criticized for BfA's extent of temporaryness
It did for me
A lot better than killing memories
Idk I saw world quests as the pre expansion event and immediately checked out
I loved the scenario with Talanji and whatnot
And I think we still are waiting to see that here
TWW really needed an old soldier quality/length cinematic
To introduce us to the world soul saga
I am eager to see what future unfolds.
Maybe showing Xal atath during the black empire
Look I'm very hyped for the expansion, but the pre release story buildup is like a wet fart
Personally I absolutely loved old soldier, that said I think legion is like the gold standard for pre expansion hype
Legion pre release buildup was also fantastic
WoD was strong too tbh
Shadow lands was even pretty good (it was only after release the problems emerged)
DF was a big step down, and TWW has been even less interesting
(again not the expansion itself, just the prerelease story buildup)
Great leveling quests
Yeh I'm not judging the actual quality of the expansions here
Loved those warlords short videos
Just how good blizz were at getting us invested in the story prerelease
Same as the mannoroth cinematic
For sure. The ogre colosseum one was hype af
Wish they had more time to finish their plans
Me too but I think if they had legion wouldn't have been as good as it was
Hate how 2 of warlords died just... one in dungeon and other one was first boss on the raid
May be
Part of me hopes for WoD classic or remix to complete what they couldnt but i know they won't go this far for old expansion
WoD remix would be fantastic imo
Khadgar: Blasts.
Xal: Simply turns the magic into void energy with Dark Heart.
Xal: Lul.
She is so bad man
like in a good way
was really fun to see khadgar just go all out since usually he does more stylish magic, we've not seen him just strain and do full raw power blast
bro used arcane surge and xal just went 'Immune'
I do like them showing the dark heart converting power to shadow though, I'm very curious what it's going to be used for. My guess is sunwell is involved as well
Xal'atath is a curious entity. I wish to unravel the secrets of her past.
there's definetly others who'd like to unravel something
She wants to have it eaten
and while we don't know how, the Sunwell is getting corrupted
I just want to know why they put the dark heart in as her method
My money is still on Anduin or Alleria dropping the Dark Heart into the Sunwell
Which turns it into a portal to the Void
You guys saw she is wearing bandages. So that means her body is maybe falling apart 🤔
I mean, either they use dark heart to corrupt the sunwell or she goes to the sunwell to suck it up for some other purpose
I get that midnight is the focuse void xpac, but if they play the portal card immediately I wonder how they'll keep the xpac feeling fresh with patches
nah, they're 100% gonna do a call back to Sargeras and Kil'jaeden liking to use arcane wells as portals.
I agree, I just wonder if silvermoon will be our city, or a hostile zone
or do you reckon we'll be fighting accross the water to quel'danas?
Given Quel'Danas isn't in the city we could make our opening campaign a foothold in the city
I think if we're getting a 3 patch Midnight I'd make our first raid secure Quel'thalas proper, and deal with the Trolls who made a deal with Xal before TWW.
Second raid is Quel'Danas and secure our side of the Voidwell
Third raid is in the Void proper
I think maybe not so much tbf
it's also a story with light in it we've been told
and we're getting hints of an ethereal void patch in tww
Trolls made deal with Xal’atath? 👀
In the Dark Heart patch before this Alleria's scouts saw recent void activity going into Zul Aman.
it could be a strain to have basically 2 patches with the same placement/aesthetic, since they usually try to keep things fresh
I'm not sold on us getting an Ethereal patch in TWW
since all we know of midnight is basically equivalent to a bit less than what we knew of TWW's premise, we could go to wildly different places
All I have to go off is whatever happens to the Sunwell is enough to put the entire world into shadow
and that sounds to me like an open portal to the void
start in silvermoon, 1st tier raid in queldanas, dungeons for trolls (and some bosses in the raid), then maybe we move somewhere else elven
We're finishing the void as a threat for the life of WoW in Midnight
at some pint azshara will re-enter most likely
I wonder if we can chart a trend with Xal's movements
my crackpot theory is Azshara will become the new leader of the void pantheon becoming the first mortal to somehow ascend to godhood
Arcane -> Dalaran
Void -> Old God Blood
Light -> Sunwell
Haha 😂
Azshara getting what she wants, ultimate power, agrees to leave reality alone
I do think she will help us in midnight
there is a piece in her that is altruistic
even if she hesitatess to show it
she's comfy on her pedestal but when pushed to the edge we've seen she'll act good(?)
like even when dealing with nzoth, she made sure to put herself in a position so her people wouldn't be slaves
she tried to save her people before that as well
she left us the knife, and even sought to get out from under nzoth herself
her worst moment was when she was dealing with the legion. But who knows what they promised her ig
and that would have been at her peak ego for sure lmao
That.... is a new style
looks to be alleria's short?
also right on cue mentioning trolls, this probably reminds people that those trolls exist in prep for midnight
Trolls were a given the moment we were going back to Quel thalas
Though their story is almost identical to the Nerubians lol
Xal and Alleria's story parallels are very interesting actually
Faded Empire seeking past glory
Alleria has dealt with the trolls before, ages ago. Xal most likely wants to make a deal with them
Alleria sought the void, Xal IS the void
Both elves
Both sucked power out of stuff
and a few other things
their stories are sort of inversed in a 2 sides of the same coin way
even down to Xal being trapped in a weapon with no body, whereas Alleria has been told by Locus that her body IS her weapon
If this is a Warcraft animated TV show I will take back everything I said
I think it's just another 2d, just slightly different art style
Let me get over hyped in peace :p
likely made at the same time OW2 did it's transformers cinematic haha
considering we see two elves, one looks like sylvanas in ranger armor. This will probably be alleria's story of giving the responsibility to Sylvanas, as well as her then leaving to go through the portal
will we see young turalyon/khadghar I wonder
baby arator
someone just pitched the idea of xalatath being a prime void naaru
considering "radiant songs" also have some naaru iconography, the big crystal in hallowfall, the mural (which she comes out from), Xalatath (the crystal) appearing to the old god on the mural like a harbinger
as well as that also being an even stronger parallel to alleria, since alleria devoured one, if Xal IS one that would be cool
naaru also have those runes on their head and body like Xal, the rotating orbs we've seen also echo the rotating naaru bits
she even literally says this:
Xal'atath whispers: I know the naaru consider us horrors to be resisted. We do not share this view. They are merely beloved brethren that lost the true path. They will return to their masters... in time.
Elune's naaru adjacent theories also make sense how Xal has a grudge against Elune, and we get rebuked when we trie absorb her power in ToS.
we've seen the old gods be not so aligned with the voids intentions and having their own goals, they fight amongst eachother instead of doing their "directive". Would it be out of the question that perhaps when Xal showed up to the black empire ass the harbinger to usher in their new age, they turned on her so they could own the world themselves? Trapping her in the dagger
this is interesting, we've not seen beledar referred to as a personafied entity have we?
but here the naming scheme kinda infers that
Thats a good thing.
I disagree. I'd rather go back to weekly lockout with champ loot
Champ loot at least gets into hero ilvls, veteran gear is literally useless with delves existing
then spend less time doing delves? ??? profit??
I'm just sad cause m0s were awesome in s4
honestly i think LFR is going to be so dead now. with story mode and delves as a new gearing route that's solo.
yes but i'm sure there's gonna be a loss of players who will do LFR once or not at all since they can complete the story without doing LFR
and why go through LFR when you can just do a couple of delves AND get better loot
At least until there's another leggo
I just think daily lockout veteran loot won't mean much with warbound
Bro...
I only right now understood that the crystal in the mural is actually a beledar crystal 💀
And xal getting out of it makes sense since beledar start becoming more and more voidy
Its so long before 26th
But still a question
What is beledar and where did it came from?
Or we knew some already from datamining 👀
We don't know what it is, but it only started turning to shadow the day Sargeras stabbed the planet
Probably it’s some shard from sun ☀️
Thanks
Putting the “games” in @gamescom
Here’s what to expect from our livestreams: https://t.co/vgLe3LnZ6D | #Xboxgamescom
something about WoW 100%
well, also Diablo and OW 2
It’s TWW - probably just an animatic or cutscene. Not gonna spoil anything before launch
I hope the Indy game turns out to be fun
I’m more excited about MH Wilds at Gamescom tho - we have to get new monsters
could be 11.0.5 too
could maybe finally show off the haronir lmao
porter just posted a tweet showing the Dracthyr alternate class animatons and they look pretty cool
I get that every playable race needs all the animations even if they aren't going to get that class, but seeing a dracthyr doing the howling blast DK animation is very cool lmao
I'd be surprised if they get to be DKs but Earthen don't
So I think that (animation) is either for a future class roll-out of DKs, simply a test or to be used in different abilities :ö
I was looking for Civ 7 on that list before realizing it was Xbox only stuff
I'm betting we get Anniversary event details, and possibly a 11.1 announcement
There's supposed to be a 20th anniversary announcement at Gamescom
11.0.5 details are likely
I'm not sure about 11.1 (it's possible but I think the focus will be launch and anniversary)
my bet is it's definitely launch related for sure and prolly 20th anniversary info
Yeh and 11.0.5 is the anniversary patch
I don't really think we'll see 11.1 but it's possible if they wanna do the legion thing
There's Gamescom opening night live conference as well, and some other streams
Civ prolly at one of those
I think it's the 21st. It's just not an Xbox game
That picture is literally only one company
Yeh I know
I didn't say it wasnt the 21st
Although not everything on that list is published by Xbox
Star Wars Outlaws for example
Some of it is due to marketing deals
So when's the testing today
I'm excited for Vessel of Hatred info dump 😄
oh yeah, i suppose that goes without saying lol
Only reason I think it's more than just anniversary is that they sent both Holly and Ion to Europe for this and other members of the Warcraft team.
It's definitely their standin for blizzcon this year
11.1 is possible, I'm just not holding out hope
Depending on what the anniversary stuff is, that could be big enough by itself
By I'm not saying a legion style Gamescom .1 announcement is off the cards
11.1 is either on PTR first week of January or before Christmas break depending on when they plan for it to actually go live.
nice, but it's literally the post-season week so there'll be nothing to do in WoW anyways
didn't they say the season ends on the 26th?
I have early access
So it's the same day early access begins :p
Well I'm arriving two always before (Tuesday) but Thurs is early access and wow day at Gamescom
What I mean is I'm in Germany Tuesday-sunday
Early access starts on Thursday
I won't get much time to play it until I'm back
That's all I'm saying :p
ah
still the slowest content launch of all time so no rush, you'll have plenty of time
Aye. I'll try squeeze a few hours in the mornings at hotel etc..
Just don't wanna miss the show or events/parties
it's up
From the forests of Quel'Thalas to the farthest reaches of the twisting nether, witness the story of Alleria Windrunner’s journey through Light and Shadow.
Upgrade to the Epic Edition and Gain Early Access starting August 22nd.
The War Within launches globally on August 26th.

people actually are upset cause it's a bit less than they expected
What? It’s a lot 😂
Not much new in this one but always cool to hear Sylvanas again
veressa is the one she gave arator to, i think?
Wait Alleria and Turalyon have child? 😂
wait, first episode?
Yes.
yeah i think wowhead has that wrong
there was zero indication that this is part of a series.
so, were probably getting one more of thrall eh?
Yeah, covers everything up to TWW, and nothing saying there's more
Unless wowhead got something more in private from blizz
Anime Thrall would go so well at Gamescom haha
They should make Khadgar
this was pretty cool
also absolutely hilarious to me to see the mirrored iconography of burning of teldrassil when she fought alongside sylvanas
like literally even the same horde catapults in the same composition
burning down the forest
im glad they FINALLY showed why she got the new outfit
also that cinematic went hard as fuck
or faelin, anduin, moira even?
Arathor
eh, we had the bad guys cinematic, this is the alliance one so it just makes sense the horde one is next and it would be thrall since he's also one of the "main" characters. anduin gets more story through out the campaign no?
not entirely sure what story they'd cover with Thrall's cinematic tho
I spose, though alleria doesn't feel particularly faction aligned in this xpac
in the same way thrall wasn't back in cata
yes they're from a faction
but their position in the story is relevant to both
I think anduin is the faction standin more like
weither or not they are faction aligned it still shows and gives people that "hey thats my faction feels"
anduin and thrall had similar stories and both were in the trailer
I dont think they should pick the cinematics based on faction ties, but instead just story catch-up and whatever else
it's more to do with their intent in positioning the characters to me
Especially seeing as how Thrall is going on a more background role and letting Anduin and Alleria take center stage
yes and i'm saying its to draw hype with players and their factions.
they don't make an effort to literally balance all the stories around being split evenly between faction races for sure
I mean im horde and this cinematic got me hyped 🤷♂️
this xpac is very alliance race centric lmao
thrall kinda feels tacked on to me so far
¯_(ツ)_/¯
yeah and that sucks
no i get your point
they put characters in to reflect factions
hence why thrall is here
but in terms of the storytelling, they usually have a cast who are the rep for each faction
Alleria and Anduin are basically our two main characters for the expansion while Thrall and Jaina are cheering from afar
like in legion we had graymane and sylvanas doing their stuff on the broken isles
BFA we had jaina and lorthremar in azshara patch
Shadowlands we had baine and thrall to match Jaina and Anduin
I think it'll shift once we get to the Undermine and we'll see more Gazlowe stuff
thralls story might be to do with the undermine and gazlowe stuff tbf
my thoughts basically
sensing disturbances in the elements from their mining or something
Also we know the Harronir have a deep connection to not only Elune'ahir but also azeroth and could probably help Thrall with his elemental dysfunction
but yeah Alleria is the main gal in this xpac like how Illidan was in legion, despite not being completely present for everything
and I think alleria will go into midnight (hope she does)
I think it's just weird how Alleria being the main character of the expansion she's not in like, yknow, the cinematic trailer
but hey Anduin and Thrall are awesome im not complaining
i feel like they are setting her up for midnight and this is anduin's expansion to deal with his trama
I like the war within cinematic trailer, since it plays more into the themes of this xpac rather than some of the visuals
War Within seems to be about fighting your inner battles before focusing on your existential ones in order to prepare for them
that's its place in the worldsoul saga, as well as the arc a lot of the characters are going through
I am still confident one of them fails and kicks off Midnight
I just don't know who breaks, Alleria or Anduin.
Both have massive ties to Sylvanas who WILL be part of Midnight
Alleria seems very self sacrificing, but I'm thinking Anduin woudl help her in a moment of darkness
she's kind of like a great great aunt in law?
and if he saw Alleria falling to the void, her mind being DOMINATED (hint hint) into doing things she wouldn't normally do. I think he'd definetly know where he stands again
and he'd probably jump in to save her, potentially finding some new things out about himself
Please no
she will be in some way I think, even if it's like an Alleria funeral lmao
if alleria dies
Midnight is about uniting all the Elven tribes.
I think Sylvanas will be the one who pulls whichever of the two falls back from the brink.
I hope we never see her again
why, she's a good character who was just a victim of a bad expansion
yeah I meant SL
But I think sylvanas has been a bad character since she jumped off icecrown
Before that she was cool
she needed a new arc after arthas
Id rather she had just killed herself and that was the end
two bad expansions, just bad for her in polar opposite ways lol
With that as her final arc
BFA is the best of the last three exoansions we've had imo
ehh BfA was ok, got better as it went on mechanics wise
BFA>DF>SL
for the game I think DF has been way better
in the same way that a healthier but smaller meal will be better for you in the long run
narratively, BfA has had the most long-term damage to the setting than anything else, because it fundamentally ruined the faction dynamics to the point where neither players nor blizzard want to engage with it anymore
Gameplay wise, but in terms of theme, story, zones etc.. BFA was a lot stronger than DF
BfA was like a big box of junk food
gameplay wise yeah obviously Shadowlands did the bigger hit though lol
tackled a lot, got some cool moments, but ruined things longer term
The second half of BFA (post nzoth releasing) was poor but the first half of BFA story was the best they've ever done
but BfA rushed through three expansion concepts and did none of them justice
it's funny because the storytelling and mechanics quality are like inverted in BfA as time goes on
corruptions and essences were hilarious and fun
Saurfang's story is nonsensically bad when you take a moment to examine its themes between each cinematic, despite their pretty visuals, and the faction conflict from all angles was pretty much wholly sacrificed at the altar of one sad orc man
but we friendship beamed nzoth
Disagree completely
bfA slapped and suarfangs story slapped
I wish they went back to horde Vs alliance
Like people complaing about how happy and emotional Dragonflight is with the unity themes, but the whole reason it's like that is because BfA fundamentally ruined the faction conflict
Should always be a central theme
Yeh DF unity theme does indeed suck
and there's no way to go back to that without making the Alliance into something just as horrible in an effort to 'even the scales', which would be just as bad
I hate the faction war, too many have died for it and I'm glad we finally learned the lesson Taran Zhu had in MoP
Id be fine with it
Pull a page out of Warhammer 40ks book. Make everyone 'bad'
I think Saurfangs story could have been better integrated, there was a focus on the younger members of the horde with that troll dude. But it could have been cool to see him explicitly reflect on the past, looking at Nazgrim and how he was expected to do as he did (fight for his warchief, even whilst disagreeing), but finding himself stuck between his honour and his duty
The world is of one of war, fuelled by paranoia, bigotry, and fear
Saurfang literally is a DK right now, which is another parallel to his sons fate
Miss the faction war 😦
BFA is narratively the strongest expansion ever, with early WoD, and all of MoP being up there too
lol
There's just not enough people alive to fight another faction war
It's ok to have different opinions port 😦
DF is definitely the worst theme and story they've ever done (yea worse than SL). SL ruined a lot of lore yes, but at least it was grim
Gameplay wise DF was fantastic
no ty
Yes ty
absolutely pointless
DF was a fine story, they just never explored anything deep enough
it was shallow as hell
the best moments we had were with our villains though
I'm sorry but a 2 minute cinematic isn't enough to tell the story of thing
need the story to take a darker tone
like it seems to be taking with xal
otherwise nothing feels like a threat and just a disney movie
I mean if the theories about Midnight opening with the sun being blotted out and turned voidy end up being correct that would be a literally dark story lol
Xal doesn't seem quite dark enough. She feels very unthreatening
i disagree
I wish we'd gotten a trailer specifically about her
where have you been
what she is, is VERY dangerous to us
I'm not saying she cant be threatening. Id just like to see more about what she's done and where she came from
Were told she's very dangerous, but she doesn't feel dangerous
the only villain who's won against us and walked away is iridikron
and we've got 3 expansions to explore that
have you been watching the cinematics?
Iridikron is so lame
Xal was the reason for that, and she's literally been in our hands before
Yeh the nerubian one was bad
that's literally not important to me, eldritch abominations don't need an origin story
everything up till now has been basically positive for her since she interacted with us
she latched onto the player character, knowing how useful they were in legion
Not when they're cool like nzoth they don't
Alleria one was awesome
Just needed more blood/gore during the fight scenes
Castlevania anime style. Would she benefited a lot
that's not what a rated t cinematic is gonna get you, sor r y
I loved the cinematic
and gore po** isnt that great either
Just saying what I think would make it perfect
Castlevania benefits from gore a lot. I wouldn't call it gore porn
never seen it
I just don't think you want Warcraft, lol
but i just mean when its very excessive
then you wouldn't be asking for things that Warcraft has never been
I specifically am talking about the alleria animation
Warcraft has always been on the cartoony side of violence, never really bloody
It can be both. Castlevania is cartoony and bloody
Like the most horror we've ever gotten was Wrathgate with the plague melting people but even that wasn't bloody.
There was some blood in the cinematic
i want more of the azshara and spider cinematic horror in game
Like when alleria dumped the decapitated head on the table
The Azshara cinematic is sooooooo good, with nzoth
Gave me chills
Nerubian one felt like a knock-off of that
i disagree but
That's fine
that was wine
made to look like blood as a fakeout
at least that's what I read it as
Lame

These guys did the new alleria cinematic
Sun Creature is an international animation studio and production company with offices in Copenhagen, Denmark and Bordeaux, France.
almost time for launch test
I wonder how much will still be hidden
cause I doubt we get cinematics
huh we do get cinematics
huh so, some people can get the quest already. I cant see it.
I finished harbinger on my main on retail but it says i havent done it on the ptr.....
er, beta server thing
Drendan helped us strengthen the wards protecting dalaran, how nice of him
oh, we got one cinematic but not the big one
Ooh nice
oooh, another cinematic where it's seemless, it just zooms into your character a bit as you're running and suddenly cinematic
but then we skip the cinematic which they previewed yesterday
and into what we'd already seen on beta
wow i predicted that in the quest
||archmage drenden||
the dialogue was a little too on the nose
If everyone on beta could please report the whispering stargazer fish as bugged, it should have a use effect to allow you to get a buff in Azj'kahet to allow you to catch the Awoken Coalcanth for the fishing derby achievement
The most important thing on testing atm
this is just easter egg you can fish in dala fountain during the intro questline
yes but it's a coin from a void person. which is what we received from the void person who was using our dungeon journal
ah. idk about that. this one wasnt related to that other 'coin'
The other coin is tied into the Ethereals watching and testing us.
Everything about him was on the nose 👃
btw did anyone else think Sylvanas sounded a bit strange in the cinematic? Was it just the normal VA doing a younger voice or a new VA?
I was on the fence
The direction for her varies from piece to piece, sometimes they have her put on a bit of a proper-sounding accent that makes her word placement a bit odd, like here
the audio quality on both sylvanas and alleria felt a bit off to me, tbh
Not really sure exactly why. Possibly just the mixing. Just felt like maybe there wasn't quite as much range as normal, maybe lacking a bit of the bass tones
i think we arent used to elf sylvanas
99% of the time we have heard her talk she has been undead
none of those filters or anything are there since she isnt in this animation
i think it sounded similar to some of the stuff we have heard in the past
Her VA isn't doing Sylv nearly as often either though
Sylvanas was a main character from Cata through SL.
In DF she had one short dialog
It’s not that, she can turn on the Sylvanas voice like it’s nothing
She attended a halloween charity event last year and did a bunch of various quotes entirely off the cuff, with the exact voice she uses in the cinematics
No filters or anything, 99% of it is just Patty doing her thing haha
They barely use the filters in the major cinematics nowadays anyways, since they wanted to let her voice acting shine through
so when do yall think we're getting the mid patch support spec/class? 🤔
I don’t think we will be seeing anything like that for TWW
The exact quote was we'd see more things like hero trees vs full support specs
My wildman theory is still a tank shaman
Tank shaman will takeover totemic and then enh and tank will share a new supporty hero tree
no it wasnt
he said they have dipped their toes into support stuff in hero trees
they really do need more support specs tho
The answer was a bit meandering, but it definitely sounded like we'd see support from stuff like hero trees before a new spec
otherwise Augmentation is always going to be either OP or garbage
b/c it has to be one or the other to function as a support spec unless it has something to be balanced against
No, he said what I said above. Then went on to say "i've learned over time to never say never"
and theyll keep in mind potentially adding more specs or classes
nothing to announce now like they usually say

Hey guys! Today I had the big opportunity to interview the Associate Game Director of World of Warcraft, Morgan Day. In this interview we go over many of the upcoming features in The War Within, such as Delves, Heroic Weeks, Gearing, and much more - like the fa...
here directly from his mouth
TL;DW: MORE SUPPORT SPECS/CLASSES CONFIRMED
That’s not…okay sure
That is a massive reach and you know it lol
Yeah, if there was any hints like we had for Aug and a missing spec, we don't have any missing specs at the moment and not even DH was left an opening
My wild man guess of a 4th shaman spec and hero tree feels like a massive longshot predicated entirely on the follower dungeon
they just have to bend things a little for DH. With an idea like debuffing and weakening enemies
cause you probably cant do a DH eyebeaming an ally and giving them temporary fel powers 🤔
Scythe debuff DH should have been added, yes
Use a buff called Aldrachi Teachings or something so only a few can take advantage
tho is there anything in lore that makes sense for fel magic to work as a debuffer
oh wait, it's the same as warlocks right?
weakness, curses etc
that's fel right 🤔
Fel drains and saps their targets, yea
ok so there is precedent there
Fel is using life force to fuel magic
oh and they already have magic brand
increasing magic dmg taken...
yeah they could easily do a third spec there
and it wouldnt just be a weapon switch like they say
now im 🤞 for a debuffer and a new buffer(shaman or priest)
I'd personally prefer a shaman tank with a support hero tree
Shaman doesn't need a third dps spec
you do it because it's a game and it's fun
the support aspect is already there in the base class
People have demanded a proper shaman tank spec since vanilla and shaman tank is the biggest SoD success.
because it's fun or the only good tank
Because it's a class fantasy people have wanted forever
Exactly
A earthwarder spec has been up there with Tinker in terms of things people really want
if they do a tinker i hope we get a dual wielding pistol spec out of it
Inquisitor DH spec. You can reap stats or buff from a target to spread them to the raid or manage buff and debuff raid wide , that could be something to explore. Imo DH should be the first to have their third spec. The class is in total shamble and disinterest for the moment
That sounds like an incredibly bad idea
Honestly it just sounds like Aug with warlock ish curses
if thats the case, then the class needs work to save it more than just adding a third spec
and maybe replacing the unpopular dev
DH is unfun to play? Strange I’m always enjoying myself when I hop on my DH alt
There's no such thing as a dev assigned to a specific class. Many members of the team have input on every class. Some may have more interest or involvement in certain classes, but they are not individually responsible for them.
Did I said " unfun " ? its not unfun but pretty close because of the hero spec bloating action and monitoring debuff or passive stuff that are underperforming, you just have to look at the recent parse of warcraft log for the last raids of recent weeks to see that DH players dropped pretty fast
I’m sorry, I just assumed that from you saying it’s “in shamble and disinterest”
I do think that if they do another support spec, it'll end up being a debuff spec instead of buffs
with how many utility options they pumped into augvoker, debuffs are the only real niche they aren't overwhelmingly utilizing
I mean the class can be good but as of now there is no actual core change , the hero spec are far from " heroic " ( even the graphical effect are absent outside of some green flashes, we just got some icon changes ), everything feels dull and uninspired, with underperfoming dps on top of it , so boredom is settling in
But you’re also looking at a time when player participation is usually low and going “look class is bad cause no one is playing”
because they are rerolling
mainly DK
You mean people are playing other classes in a season that’s all about easy gearing and redoing old content. consider me shocked
Well, it would mean something if the other classes on top of the chart would move too, but they are not, DH moved to the bottom in the last weeks, the other barely moved
We won’t see the real impact of these changes until TWW is live and we get class participation charts
DH got less flashy stuff than other melee and their op tank spec got hit hard so those meta chasers have jumped ship
I was strictly talking about DPS, tank got hit hard too
but there were some reason for that though
DH still has their magic debuff so there's a good shot havoc ends up meta in m+
Oh my bad, you're actually right @upper pasture it dropped not because there are less players, but because the dps became even more shitty than before
ive seen some sentiment saying they dont like how the class plays anymore
I think DH is at their most interesting since BfA (not talking about DPS). Because in Legion it was cool, but then BfA came and stripped from the class a lot of nice stuff
We got the recycled artifact talent again and again and again, most of the time bugged, without any new kind of new stuff , there was something new and nice with the 10.3 but it stopped mid course and we've been stuck in this spot for now, leaving us with the feeling that they got no inspiration or motivation to do more
Was bm hunter simplified?
Feels like I'm missing some abilities
Unless they moved them to hero talents
Your talents got reset probably
Officially jealous of Gamescom folks now
Why
The vr ride
meh, d4 seems to have massively disappointed and I had 0 expectations for it
It's great
Some issues of course but fantastic game
seemed incredibly boring when I tried it in open beta
game is way too slow paced starting off imo
they have made really great changes and the game is really good rn
That was a long time ago and also the very start of the game
Last two seasons have been great and expansion looks to do even more
still not worth what they're charging haha
In your opinion
It's also free on gamepass
Also how do you know it's not worth what they're charging it all you've played is the open beta
You sound like a troll
https://www.wowhead.com/news/a-penny-for-xalataths-thoughts-hidden-easter-egg-in-war-within-introduction-345918 took a while for wowhead to put article on it.
Of course the perceived quality of D4 is an opinion
Everything is, unless we are talking about science 😁
Just read! Loved it 🤩
Yea it just took them to notice m7ch longer than what i post here as well as post on reddit .
I know but he said it likes it's fact, plus his opinion doesn't mean shit since he only played the open beta 18 months ago :p
Science has opinion too. It's called conjecture
@deep pawnis that rep buff for the DF zones going away? 🤔
I think so, since it was Season 4 related iirc (Season 3 was Islands, Season 4 is all of DF rep iirc)
I had no idea they did this before
looks like i gotta spend some time on wrathion/seballion rep with the boost
since i havent done it
Would be a good call if you want the saddle and mount colour, yus l
To clarify, I can't day eith certainty, it's simply my guess.
He didn't say it as a fact, he said "Not worth what they're charging", which is obviously an opinion since it is a subjective point of view of a entertainment product, but it triggered you (maybe you are projecting). Otherwise, pretty much every sentence from a person would have to start with "In my opinion" or "I think..." to just highlight the obvious - the person is saying an opinion.
alleria is what a dark ranger spec should have been 😔
For me at least arpgs just are a hard sell. I only ever played d3 cause Blizzard gave it to me for free
I ultimately bought the expansion at like 66% off
Didn't buy necromancer
so, you think D4 sucks because you don't like the type of game. makes sense
how the hell are the visuals for sunfury mage so much better than the ones for brewmaster?
brewmaster has a fucking particle cloud and thats it
everytime there is something visually cool monk is left in the fucking dust
legion class mounts? monk was the only one using an old af model from mists b/c they didnt make a new tiger model
shadowlands covenant abilities? just particle effects pretty much....
night fae was the only one that was visually impressive and it was mechanically bad
and now hero classes where we get? particle fx!
very frustrating honestly
I loved how faeline stomp looked
I wouldn’t complain if we got more tho, I can see where your coming from
monk needs a visual update
it looked like a pale imitation of even d3 when it came out and I don't think they've added anything to change that for me.
visuals were very hit and miss yeah. Mage's Arlo is amazing
Good morning, could everyone with beta access please submit a bug report for the fish Whispering Stargazer it has been bugged for about 3-4 weeks now in which the on use effect is no longer on the item, the on use effect is what allows the angler to have the chance to catch the Awakened Coalcanth from Azj-Kahet.
This is part of the new Mereldar Fishing Darby in Hallowfall, which to my knowledge, I am the only person who has completed it and has the Kah, Legend of the Deep Mount, if the whispering stargazer doesn't get fixed prior to expansion launch then fishing will be bricked for everyone meaning that you won't be able to get the new mount or complete the fishing darby.
For more information I've attached a screenshot of what the fish should do with it's use effect.
Thank you
Lmao
It's better than D3 in my opinion
Haranir camp (Azj-Kahet) ambiant sound is this :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDRY0CmcYNU
God ... If you know the story about this sound, it's horrible
The haunting beauty of a love song lost amidst the shrill sounds of commercial exploitation.
Please corroborate on whether I got it right: this is ||the presumably last Kauai 'O'o bird||, meaning ||their mating song will never be answered by another one of their kind|| - it's a similarly sad and melancholic situation to the whale whose cry(?)-frequency is a different amount of decibels than that of the other whales of its species.
yeah, ||it's the last of his species||. About whale, I don't know what do you mean / your reference.
Are copy char broken on beta?
I saw my characters for few seconds then the list went again
The same old copy char issue :/
Sunfury blows basically all of them out of the water
Consistent minor visual, flashy major visual, mechanical change to a utility spell
Meanwhile, some other specs…
Equivalently bad to master of harmony’s annoying fucking particle cloud
Rogue got done dirty though
I actually like coin flipping
The talents aren’t great, but the visuals are not the problem
It’s the opposite of brewmaster- master of harmony is strong and fun to play but the visuals are shit
https://www.wowhead.com/fr/item=179391/remornia?bonus=0
Mmm, interesting.
Ce/cette Épée à deux mains est gris. Dans la catégorie Épées à deux mains. Un objet de World of Warcraft : The War Within. Toujours à jour.
"added in 11.0" potential tading post item ?
doesnt appear to be
trading post items usually have some info associated with them
notice how this is flagged as cosmetic, binds to warband, has a use condition, and a source?
your sword even says
Weird
its more likely to be like - a radiant echo thing or something tied to a quest
maybe tied to one of the plays in isle of dorn?
could be we re-enact some of the SLs raids
I dont understand the goal of Blizzard to adding item and do not implemented it on the live version
if it ends up as a trading post item, itll get updated first
prep for future patches
art team is usually WAY ahead of everyone else because they need busy work
There is a lot of item from BFA, Legion and CATA wich cannot being unobtenable
cant give everything a source of you end up with a bunch of junk
theyll add weapon arsenals for the trading post for those appearances eventually
or theyll use them for the next remix event in 2 years
this sword for exemple, was dropped by a rare removed during BFA beta
whats it called?
or theses boots without any information
give me a sec to find it on wowhead
that probably means theyre a grey drop
items with no info but in the transmog guide are a grey drop typically
some grey drops are very rare and since wowhead gets its data from players using their addon, that limits the info even more
you can drop it as reward for a quest in the mop introduction, but nothing
This blue one-handed sword has an item level of 58. It is looted from Vol'Jim. In the One-Handed Swords category. Added in World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth.
There are also a lot of weapons on the theme of Maldraxxus or the Kyrians that we cannot have in game
Plsplsplsplspls
Soon frostmourne
Swordaifu
Dude
I would really like them to add the SOD t0 and t1 variants to retail as well as the Broxigar weapon. There is also the "Twilight hammer" transmog from Cata Classic
It was already in the legion
You mean the twins blade of the Fallen Prince ? Hmm
this is actually a great example of something to report on the bug report forum
blizz is honestly probably just unaware that there is no source for the weapon
a simple "No source for this transmog" post with a link to the item, an explanation of how it dropped from a rare that was removed before launch
might see it get fixed eventually
If there was only this kind of bug not retained by blizzard
like since the beginning of BFA the voidform is completely bugged visually when you use a glyphs, putting you in the test version of the beta
The Shadowfiend, even when removing the effect of a gylph, will forever retain the Sha appearance
Warlocks have the post-cast pose of mages, Armor bugs on orcs also which were not adapted to the new size and width of their heads during the HD overhaul
It took almost ten years for the WoD promotional mount bug to finally be fixed.
Visual bugs and game performance issues with each expansion which also causes brightness effects to bug
(it wasn't like that before the update)
I'm seeing faces, fellas.
This isn't new mind you (at least I don't think so), it's in the Telogrus Rift in its skybox.
What is it that you see?
Crack, beautiful cra- CRACKS
I mean crackS!
Also, THE VOIIIIIIIIID (but mainly some titan's face 👀 )
How did the explorers league know about khaz algar if magni hasnt woken up yet to tell us about it?!
he doesnt tell us until he wakes up in the prepatch event (the one we tested the other day)
Mostly just a phasing bug, they aren't supposed to be there until the intro event when we check up on them
Ah ok, I figured that might be the issue. Seems like a weird one. I havent even done the silithus thing on this toon and theyre in Dal already
Go to Dalaran in the night or anywhere where is clear sky 🌌 and you will see Algalon figure from the sky observing.
In a cosmic perspective, most mortal concerns seem insignificant, even petty.
few faces i see almost immediate
It's only human nature to see faces where there aren't any. The brain is an interesting thing. Although, some funky space dust being the essence of a Void Lord could be cool. I mean, you can see planets with giant tentacles all over them, and somehow that hasn't affected their rotation at all.
It's not that big of a stretch.
What am I supposed to take from this, Algalon?! 😠 How is this supposed to cheer me-!
Oh. Oh I get it, it's not.
Because we are insignificant in the eyes of a creature to whom our time on this planet is nothing but a blink of an eye.
... well, you smell like onions! :c
(I love your humour and frog usage, @lone mantle, always brings a smile to my face.
)
Know this, that you are not without significance, mortal. Even in the vast expanse of the cosmos, your presence is observed.
Well, actually it's in-
Huh. Good point.
Pop Algalon always know what to say to make us mortals feel significant!
@lone mantle share your wisdom with us Algalon, what is the best way to enjoy the start of an expansion?
mb we are the most signficant thing from the cosmic perspective since without us to observe and contemplate it, its unthinking and without perspective
Deep... and not entirely wrong, since Algalon was made to contemplate his decisions after he got clapped some sense into by us.
Humans are universal transducers, provided we have the right knowledge and energy, we can turn anything into anything else
and yet the knowledge of how to turn this useless lead into gold elludes me
And yet knowledge is the only thing stopping you
feels
He said the thing!
visibly embarrased idk what the thing is
Tobi gave a lovely explanation about the vast possibilities of change humans can create, turning one thing into another...
And you referenced the fact we still can't turn lead into gold, which is one of the biggest reasons people pursued Alchemy!
Or, simple: "Humans can change anything into anything else, that is how powerful the human condition is."
"SO WHY CAN'T I TURN LEAD INTO GOLD THEN?!
"
That's what made me giggle
was a joke cuz i thought they were kinda sounding alchemical with that. but it is kinda proving to be true that we are figuring out how to turn stuff into almost anything. i forget the weird starter things but theirs cool youtubes about making like aspirin and other drugs but synthesized from like paper plates and stuff its amazing
oh looking at history mb it was turning aspirin into tylenol
it really is just knowledge. cuz stars make gold
Wrong toby :p but thank you
It's all comprised of atoms (and sub atomic particles) so yeh we just need the right knowledge to convert
Medieval alchemists were on to something :p
maybe hippies too if string theory is correct. change the vibe and change everything
Yep
There is interesting thought being done in the overlap between string theory and many worlds theory atm
That the thing making the strings vibrate is resonance with infinite instances of those strings across the multiverse
interesting thought that theyre in harmonics with themself
I mean, theoretically you can convert anything with enough energy, the problem is always going to be the amount of energy - it’s nuclear fission and it’s energy expensive

Ahhh, tomato and toma~hto, same thing... (joking, sorry for the mistake!)
I will get called StorySlug for this, I already know it
Nerubians built their city on top of ruins of old cities, that sounds very Drow.
Is this the first time we've been told Xal'atath is collecting Worldsoul Memories?
I believe so - she gathered Galakrond's essence, yes, but Alleria also mentions "what if they collect energy and turn it into shadow" or void, during the Harbinger quest
To specify - the "what if-" doesn't necessarily mean collected by the dark heart, I just feel like there's a correlation here
I guess the memories have to have some energy given we fight them
Is Xal wanting to edit them to make Azeroth join her willingly?
There's a crap ton of possible answers and, since I haven't played Beta and don't know the deeper context, it would also add further context to why Azeroth is angry with us at max level (when the radiant song stuff continues)
I think it was you who mentioned it's continuing, iirc part of the explanation was "they are hostile because we attacked the memories rather than release them"
(Could be me hypothesising outta my ass tho, I'm looking forward to the campaign)
I just don't think I had heard anywhere before this wowcast that Xal had set someone to collecting memories.
I guess we do end up foiling that plan cause we can kill him.
I haven't heard it like that before either
What I stated earlier is what Alleria hypothesised during the short Dragonblight portion
Abt the Riftwalker who went to Northrend, who's cheeks we clap in front of Ulduar afterwards
ALSO, massive YEHEHEHEEEES to them bringing back the void-raged Krokul from Legion, those things are so deliciously horrifying!
we haven't seen where Xal said those lines right?
i mean, is probably a cinematic we haven't seen yet
Why she say “your world is dying” when in dragonflight cinematic it’s clearly said that it got healed
👀 When / who said the world healed?
Alexstrasza isn't exactly Magni, let alone a Speaker for Azeroth - she's the Lifebinder, not the Worldsoulbinder.
if you mean expansion cinematic Alexs says "the world is healing"
Yea she said world is healing but her fate is yet uncertain. It was in the dragonflight announce trailer cinematic.
I just had my craziest 20th anniversary fantasy. To honor the original Horde vs Alliance dichotomy it'd feature Paladin and Shaman for all races and introduces a 4th spec to both
Shaman get Earthwarden tanks, Paladins get Inquisitors, hybrid ranged supports that denounce enemies.
That would be cool ngl
I just feel like something shaman and paladiny is getting cooked up
We have the very obvious Void Elf Paladin in 10.2.7
and the shaman tank in The Rookery
Idk, then they would have to introduce another new hero talent tree and rework all of those to fit then 4 specs for each class
Maybe it’s in the works but probably not until much later
My crackpot theory is that is why Prot Lightsmith and Enhance totemic are so bland
they're literally placeholders. 😄
we do?
yeah
She's in Telorgus Rift
She calls herself like an Eclipse Knight
casts Consecration
Honestly I would be surprised to see void paladins during midnight but anything before just seems a little bit too early
It could be a Midnight feature I guess with all the Elves joining together to fight the void
And you know midnight and eclipses being very thematic for the expansion
I'd hate to wait that long for Paladins for all races
is it that hard to give someone a horse
they made like a bajillion horses in BFA, plenty to choose from
I guess?
I swear if the fact some races have mechanical mounts keeps them from being paladins cause of divine steed.
I still want my mechagnome paladin
With herald of the sun can do pew pew lazer beams
They don’t have enough USB slots for more classes
Damn it, that would seriously make me consider going back to my pally, after having been a shaman since BC 😐
It would be cool, but it's a pipe dream speculation
Resolution of the Sword in Silithus and Illidan's return confirmed by metzen for 13.0

Beta servers down?
"Warcraft direct" in the coming months, so probably not any big announcements at gamescom
Ion and Holly are there iirc
so hoping for a new trailer or something, maybe 0.5 or something
i feel like "Warcraft direct" sounds bigger than just a WoW stream with all the news
Well the next patch will be on ptr before rwf ends maybe
11.0.5 is out in 8 weeks or so
Did they say when the Warcraft direct is?
"in the coming months"
