yeah that's a dope set
This paladin? I don't hate it
new evil mushroom guys!
Yessss
I realy want this shoulder hahaha
Omg is purple and gold đ
looks like a new type of kythraxxi?
theres underwater caves
WOAH
yeah there are
besides the nerubians, the Arathi deal with weird underwater creatures from the caves
LOOK AT THESE
yeah
this stuff looks so cool i can't
its like if the murloc evolution to jinyu went evil
probably gonna lead into a future zone
candle person
oooo - new type of golem enemy - looks like it uses the crystal golem skeleton but has a face!
wax golem
other dwarven mech
Candle vs void
not sure what to think of them
could be drogbar adjacent
oh shit - look whats back on azeroth from draenor
or it just shares a skeleton
not sure
it looks like a gronn tho
feels too intentional to just be a case of reusing the skeleton
Literally same creatures from Draenor just new model / face
wonder where they came from
there were some gronn on azeroth'
but i thought they were extinct
Those aren't Gronn.
They are more primal version, Breaker i think they're calle.
Magnaron.
stone-grass sheep!
still
theyre supposed to be extinct on azeroth
where did they come from?
Magnaron never existed on Azeroth, so they'll probably have some lore made up in War Within.
I want to see old paladin mount (blue silver red) horse update (bottle in the sea
)
paladin set is soo crap they forgot the helmet
could be that the magnaron were a titan creation
the titans DID visit draenor
it just didnt stick
Ahhhhh it's purple! â¤ď¸
I know
interesting that only a piece of dalaran is fallen - where is the rest?
The Titans made the Magnaron or, the "Breaker" that became the Magnaron, to battle the Botani Hivemind
They were, by Aggramar on Draenor when he saw Life was consuming the planet
Maybe in the sea.
oh interesting - i wonder why they also did the same on azeroth?
It was only Aggramar. He was the one that discovered Draenor when he was looking for Azeroth and saw the Hive Mounds and Life consuming the planet.
new capital city has a trading post, so you dont have to return to org/SW
Not even sure the titans did it. Why they suddenly are on Azeroth, we'll find out.
Oo dats nice
I mean, canonnically Botani escaped into the Barrens so who's to say some of them didn't either?
dornogal in general seems MUCH bigger than valdrakken
considering its built with dynamic flying in mind, that makes sense
looks like theres a BMAH too
Yeeeah it explains the Genesaur. But then again: both Genesaur and Magnaron are ANCIENT Beings, they aren't simply hand-made over 3-4-5 Years.
So..
Maybe they found a primal power source or somthin
seems huge
or theyve been there for thousands of years and have been woken up
There's never been confirmed Botani presence on Azeroth until the Mag'har came over. Nor are they lorewise natives on Azeroth.
botani arent there
theres a genesaur and a magnaron
at least in the pics
There's some videos and it is huge
Rivals valdrakken
And the Botani MADE the Genesaur, i'm connecting the lore dots
seems bigger
the alpha appears to be very far along btw - the fact that it has many load screens already done says a lot
Suramar would be the best capital city if it actually had thought put into it aside from being a questing zone.
also looks like rexxar might be another delve follower at some point?
Maybe it's just me, but I kinda like the more claustrophobic streets of Gilneas and Suramar. Don't like these super open hubs.
no model yet, but looks like there might be a stone/grass deer too
looks like the new flightstones are called "Valorstones"
also new crests are called "Harbinger Crests"
I like that new name.
Then again, I'm the one who's convert most resources from past expansions into "Legacy"
new reps - Council of Dornogal and Hallowfall Arathi
also new branch of the artisan's consortium
looks like theyre keeping the enchanting system from DF
Did they add any new engineering goggles for us nerds?
more reps - The Assembly of the Deeps, The Severed Threads
prof equipment and gear and recipes come later
D'oh.
also some rep named "The General (Notoriety) and The Weaver (Notoriety)", these might be individuals we gain rep with
possible new profession stat or currency - Concentration
Any of these factions you can be at war with?
literally no way to tell
Oh.
new harbinger crest tiers - Carved (Mythic +6-10), Gilded (+16 and higher), Runed (+11-15), Weathered (up to +5)
so in order, weathered, carved, runed, gilded
those tiers make sense to me
some type of delve key currency for rare and epic chests
i assume these are either something you get as loot, something you buy with currency or have a weekly limit
another new currency "Undercoin" - probably the delve currency
also this Resonance Crystals (New) - Formed by the energies of the worldsoul interacting with the stone in and beneath Khaz Algar, these revered items are used to purchase items unlocked from renown.
idk what to think about here
Didn't they announce that Delves will be a random reward from open world activities, or something, so you can't exactly spam them like m+ and ruin them the same way?
they mentioned you would have some choice
and they would rotate
we dont know a ton about the rewards
but the keys are clear
Delve Rare Key (New) - Opens a Rare Treasure Chest within a Bountiful Delve.```
with a Bountiful Delve appearing capitalized, it likely means its significant in some way
keys are also tied to renown (at the moment)
interestingly - normal difficulty description has changed
Normal Scaling (1-5) - Name changed from "Normal" to "Normal Scaling (1-5)".
AH - this is because apparently delves have their own reward track thats using a renown system
so instead of being limited to the vault, which i believe they ARE used for
Yeah they said something about needing to be renown 10 to create keys or something

Severed Threads seems to be something to do with the City of Threads - might end up similar to suramar where we progressively unlock stuff
"Azj-Kahetti Nerubian (Always Hostile) (Hidden) (New) - Controls creature behavior for always hostile Nerubians. Acts like Monster, but other Nerubians won't attack (even if friendly to the player). Use on most nerubian enemies."
"The Siegehold (New) - Controls creature behavior in the Siegehold POI of Azj-Kahet. ONLY USED IN LEVEL UP CAMPAIGN CH 2.
The Skeins (New) - Controls creature behavior in The Skeins of the City of Threads."
i'm really excited to see and explore the new capital city.
as much as valdrakken looks nice and is a massive improvement on oribos, i don't feel a need or really want to spend much time in it whilst i did with boralus
One interview suggests delves give rewards up to mythic 5
looks like we might be returning to argus for some reason
I don't know if that is myth track or +5 keystones
a bunch of weird hidden changes there
might just be related to revisting the dungeon?
like as part of one of the mythic seasons
might be nothing
dont overthink my thoughts here
It's long speculated we're gonna see broken customization
Plus we might be learning from an already corrupted world soul
Tip: Have a Binds when equipped item you cant equip, but want to collect the appearance? Try right clicking or dragging it to your character menu looks like this is how theyre handling unlock Transmog for BoE
I hope the renown rewards have only 1 currency to use for them
like 10.1 / 10.2
and not other random shit
Delve Names: Deepwalker Hold, Earthcrawl Mines, Fungal Folly, Kriegval's Rest, Mycomancer Cavern, Nightfall Sanctum, Skittering Breach, Tak-Rethan Abyss, The Dread Pit, The Sinkhole, The Spiral Weave, The Waterworks, Xev'zikk's Lair (This one might be special since its only in the list once)
13 total
oh city of threads is a dungeon
i mightve been wrong with my earlier assumption
looks like two new holidays are planned - currently both labeled unknown with no further details
if Xev'zikk's Lair is a delve then you're right
i hope they add more to the zones that dont have many
its listed as a delve
looks like gem colors are back - Ruby, Sapphire, Onyx, Citrine, Amber
Also some other colors, burgundy, silver, gold, teal
idk what those are for
theyre all tagged as item name descriptions
theres also a thing called "Omen Crafted" which might be like the spark thing from DF where you are limited to one
also another similar one called "Progress Crafted"
?? Half elf ear customisations ?
looks like we are getting a good amount of leveling campaign scenarios too
idk if theyre queued like pandaria or not
but they have roles
also we are definitely returning the the Chamber of Heart
its got a new map area
ah, there is an area in Hallowfall called The Undersea - that might be the big underwater area
new dracthyr scenario? maybe to explain new classes or as a new intro?
didn't we beat the sundered flame
this is interesting
thats part of why this is strange
hmmm
these seem fun
so does this
and these
some kind of enormous theater performance
holy
yeah i have no idea
It seems to be like a weekly event or something
i assume it picks a few
there's a cache you can earn from it
also a number of quest starter thingies to perform new plays
https://www.wowhead.com/beta/item=217013/expert-actors-chest https://www.wowhead.com/beta/item=217012/novice-actors-chest etc
An item in the Other Items category. Added in World of Warcraft: The War Within. Always up to date with the latest patch (11.0.0).
An item in the Other Items category. Added in World of Warcraft: The War Within. Always up to date with the latest patch (11.0.0).
presumably acting invovles beating a lot of things up
yeah i assume the memory things are from that
Perhaps helping Dagran research
Besides Thrall's kids he's the youngest notable character and he didn't live through many of these events
https://www.wowhead.com/beta/item=219384/tenir-and-the-order-of-night this was the quest item I saw for it
Tenir and the Order of Night is a quest item. In the Items category. Added in World of Warcraft: The War Within. Always up to date with the latest patch.
although doesn't seem related to any of the text, so might not be
Anyone with alpha access happen to know the answer to this? Super curious
In nobbels video he talks about the preparch event which seems to be going across the world dealing with memories of the past?
I think they said the gear collection/ transmog will not not be retroactive
they dont seem to be tagged as prepatch
Anything you get in TWW going forward will apply to all armor types
yeah it cant really BE retroactive
they would need to do a pass on old quests for that
and they might at some point but idk
I think itâs with the connection of the heirloom ring being tied to memories and then these being memories of past deeds that people are assuming itâs the prepatch event. Which makes sense
wait are they bringing back the heirloom ring?
Flightstones are now Valorstones lmao
Itâs a new heirloom ring
does it have a socket?
No?
Stones and crests were always going to continue into TWW
Kinda sucks they are still not transferable
This heirloom ring of item level 227 goes in the "Finger" slot. An heirloom collection item. In the Rings category. Added in World of Warcraft: The War Within.
look at the reagents to craft it. that's why people are saying the memory stuff is the prepatch event
oh interesting
and its a full set
oh no wait
thats just heirlooms
no socket is lame
Playable version for people who have alpha?
Wasn't that alpha in the title last build?
yeah its coming tomorrow
build means more datamining tho i think?
Hmm
so they put out a new build for ptr, but you cant play it b/c the realm is offline
Do you think theyâll do another weekend of testing for Remix?
hard to say
realms need to come up for that
i love these goobers
they even got the mudskipper blink sorta right
they bulge up out of the head
Haha so goofy but I love them
I gotta say all the new models are really good. The artwork is always a cornerstone for wow
Yeah, except for monks. They didn't get anything new since they updated Faeline Stomp to Jadefire Stomp.
They got time to make entirely new animations for old mounts so that they could use Dragonriding, but not update the monk animations where you can legitimately count each and every pixel.
ooof, Gamespot out here saying Hero Talents feel bad
And you believe Gamespot of all sources?
They're not exactly the peak of accuracy.
You should check Noxxic. It's pretty reliable.
(That's a joke. Don't hurt me.)
I mean I do agree that I'm gonna feel bad picking a fantasy I prefer if it's not considered good
Okay, that one is true. I really don't want to play Conduit of the PokĂŠmons.
Rather play Shado-Pan, even if it underperforms.
Didn't they only get to play the 70-73 first zone?
They got all hero talents.
huh ok
Can talk to an NPC in the capital to enable them for testing.
I'm so excited for conduit
Why?
they got to try hero talents, 2 delves, 1 dungeon, and the surface zone.
Isn't every class available for that?
Conduit is just the Windwalker and Mistweaver one.
some specs don't have their hero talents yet, but yeah, all classes were testable I suppose
oh neat, I didn't realize the raid was already itemized and all the loot named.
that's unusual for a first alpha build
I'm still thinking September release, but maybe the August truthers are right
It would suck for me to have a summer release 'cause I'm already expecting Shadow of the Erdtree, Crowsworn, and Hades 2.
I just need a solid 4-6 weeks between Dawntrail and this
I wonder if Faerin will essentially be Aerin 2.0 for Anduin this expansion, as in it will be a comparison brought up by Anduin directly
I mean, the books are getting integrated into the game's story quite heavily lately
And their names being only one letter in difference doesn't help
Reminds me of Arthas and that quel'dorei mage, Aethas.
Or how Valeera Sanguinar has an imposter Green Drake named Valeera in Dragon Soul.
How about the fact that Blackhand has no first name, but his sons, Dal'Rend and Maim use Blackhand as a surname?
Blackhand has a first name, it's just a really, really embarrassing one so he's told no one
I don't buy it.
If you were named Melvin Eggbert Blackhand I'm sure you'd shorten it as well when you become Warchief
august will most likely be the prepatch
This image is showing the Throne of Kil'jaeden in AU Draenor, right?
Not exactly. It's the same rock formation, but it's reused inside the Telogrus Rift
Ah
what time is alpha up?
we're still waiting on the catalog update
but since the build was already pushed i feel it'll be quick
If I had to wager a guess Iâd say 1pm est no?
mhm
dude Holly Longdale is the đ
i love how she is and how she cares deeply for the game
I think nostalrius incident gave a huge boost on wow team and she blossomed from it
It motivated them to make classic and she rose to power through her dedication toward the game
Why
How many toons can be in a warband?
All of them are, only 4 show up on the login screen
you can move them around on the login screen at any time tho
Ok, good! sighs in altaholic
Ok, so that screen is basically a "favorites".
https://worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/en-gb/news/24061008/the-war-within-warbands-preview
Err, this was the article
For the love of god. I read through all of the official preview post and some how missed the first under the image in Blizz's blue post.
Gonna be weird seeing my toons on one screen at the same time
My characters are going to fight for a spot in my top 4 like it's Myspace
It wonât stay at 4 forever
They already said theyâre looking to increase it after launch
Plus they also want additional backgrounds
Iâm hoping they add backgrounds to achievements or the trading post
I think it was signs of kelani mentioned they're working on getting backgrounds and music you can unlock, so I'm curious
I hope we get the class Paladin for the Kul'tiran, look the arathi set on them, absolutely I N S A N E
Music wouldn't be that difficult i don't think
Arathi set is for all plate classes
I hate that paladin is scarlet crusade looking
Not difficult, I just donât see them doing it because the login music is iconic
It isnât tho
Yes but imagine a paladin Kul'tiran, could be fucking good
Paladin is the big winged armor set
Playing Nicholas from Plague Tales
This is just one of the 4 colors of the hallowfall zone plate armor
Whaddya mean doesn't look like it? It has the emblem
Thatâs not the Paladin armor
Like - factually
Login music also gets tiresome after 18 months
Itâs the zone armor for plate wearers
The one from the trading post was paladin armor though
for the worst
This is the paladin set
I'm talking about the posted image
I like it
Not the new one
Thatâs just world plate armor
The one posted
Yes
This was the paladin set from tp
Itâs based on it since theyâre Arathi
Yeah and i hate that it looks like scarlet crusade
It doesnât have the emblem
And this is only one of the colors
There are other colors
The Scarlet Crusade don't have a trademark on the color red or the Light
Not the new set
What are you talking about then
But i really think the Arathi faction is a SC wanabe
I'm legit not talking about any of the new stuff. Only the one from the tp
Which i tagged the image i was referring to
The new stuff is nice.
They're saying it looks like Scarlet Crusader stuff because it's red and the Arathi are based around the Light. A lot of people make very simple comparisons
Like yes it factually isn't, absolutely
Dude it's just a mix of the arathi set with the Trading post shoulder pads....
I'm talking about the shoulders and tabard.
I hated how paladin got the SC looking stuff from tp
That's all.
I'm aware the new set is different
Could you have looked like a scarlet long before?
There is an npc who sells you the vanilla set of the Darkmoon faction when you wear the tabard (which is now very easy to obtain by the way)
I don't think there were items aside from the tabard with blatant fire symbol on it đ¤
Yes
Aside from the tabard there aren't really mog items unique to the Scarlet Crusade. You basically see them wearing anything red or white with paladin pieces
If they're the bad guys then why does the paladin tp set have that symbol on it? Always felt weird to me
Why not silver hand
They are bad guys, and the trading post set is just cosmetic
It's not expected for all paladins to wear
Seems niche
Though i thought the very dwarven/Tauren sets for hunter was also weird
That's not weird at all. Dwarves and tauren are heavily associated with hunters
I expect a bit more generalized for a class, not racial
Dwarves have the long-standing tradition of riflemen and mountaineers with the first dwarf in an ingame cinematic being a hunter with a bear. Tauren have an entire society and culture built around venerating hunting, hunters, and the hunt in general
This logic also works for priests: the entire TP is strongly linked to the cults of the Old Gods, mainly N'Zoth.
I find the new cloth set weird as well. Feels like a mix of pope and a certain hate group from the 50s
Because it's also nice to include things that pay homage to styles and cultures of races in the game, not just generalized watered down cosmetics that apply to everyone
That's true
Yes that's why I said it
The DK set also, linked to the Nerubians and Yogg-Saron.
It's just cosmetic, don't look for logic. It's like looking for logic to race/Class combinations (hello Magh'ar Warlocks)
It's a good thing that there is a variety of styles available in the game so that people aren't just shoehorned into one watered down class fantasy
That would be boring
Shaman set is very zandalari, mage is very elven
it was just one opinion on the paladin set didn't mean to start an entire discussion.
I just don't like the tp thing cause SC gives me the ick and rpers in wow sometimes use it as a very political statement
Sin'do / Quel'do for the mage yeah
I like that people can make themselves look like Scarlet Crusaders because it serves as an easy flag to mark them down as someone not to associate with instead of finding out they're a casual/closet racist later
I like the DH set having a variant that literally uses the legion color palette
The green with the black and gold
Some of these sets NAILED class fantasy
Very true
It's always the worst when you get close to someone and find out that they suck. Let people announce to others that they suck in advance!
Image Google for SC was a mistake lol
Dh is not nailing class fantasy. They missed the mark on the helmet Imo. We dont need a traditional helmet since it can cover Dh's eyes, like most of the dh set did
This helmet looks silly
It looks more like Neltharion than a DH
now we wait for invites
Not all players use the eye covering option
There are customization options for masks - forcing them to be hidden is bad
it is fucking amazing
In the video.
If I look at a DH set and think "this one right here hunts demons like a demon alright" then I think the set nailed the class fantasy
Oh neat
It reminds me of how to train your dragon music
Opening sounds like test drive
Harronir have cool armor
yeah shame the DH players disagree xD
Aberrus tier set maybe, that should have been ok for the Neltharion fantasy, but here.. its mid, or bad ( I think its the helmet that give this bad vibe )
Harronir are definitely what became of the dark trolls right? They gotta be
Yeah, it's a real shame that the demon hunter players don't want to look like they hunt demons
No info, only speculation
It looks like allied race is very likely - they have actually character creation support
I mean yeah, but like all signs point that way
Yeah I'm just saying there are no hard facts or lore yet for your question
Tbc- tuskaar have this support too
But it seems very likely that Harronir AR is happening eventually
My bad, I thought it was a question
All good. My bad. Hard to get tone across via text
All the talk of harronir remind me of this
it looks like some troll being experimented upon by Elune with life power until they became pristine night elves.
And those beast influence could explain the transformation into satyr once corrupted by fell...
the whole quill aspect of it makes me think more of boars than troll or night elf
Well we do know Harronir live in Azj Kahet
also the ears remind me of gelbin
there's also this guy https://media.mmo-champion.com/images/news/2024/april/115411.jpg
so uh
We ain't ever gonna get a 4 armed allied race
These are like evil jinyu
Also donât have character support
Neither do the spider people
Just like Sethrakk didnât
a unique race or just a reskin of an existing one? i wonder what we get.
Theyâre using a mix of night elf and kul tiran skeleton apparently
Kinda cool idea to make bat elves considering they live in caves
there are quills, feathers, bat ears, furr on cheeks, its like a sort of patchwerk of stuff
I still see a drogbar connection since they already call different people types of -ronir in dialogue, and Xal'atath herself claims they're a failed creation of the Titans. Maybe they were tweaked the same way goblins were by Mimiron for experimentation, or whatever
Wonder if we'll saw Uldaz in this expansion
Yeah, combined with the big murloc I'm wondering if the overall thing is some sort of experimentation mixing up races
Or they're just primal cave versions
Something makes me think that weâre looking too deep into the quils. Probably just stylistic
Neandertrolls and cromurlocs, if you will
yep, a race influenced by the energy of Azerite, dark trolls that went wrong while some other refined themselves and became Kaldorei
Porcupines tend to burrow themselves underground so that might just be the reason, same reason they have bat ears
I still don't get why other people don't see the drogbar connection lol
It feels so obvious and on the nose to me
Maybe it's the other way around, those are proto trolls xD
Like.. Primordial trolls đ
The physical features, the zone/story affiliation, harronir
Maybe they were just template for several races. Trolls, Drogbar, and others
After all, they said that the Harbinger was gathering the " Children of the First Flesh "
See I think the drogbar connection is those weird buff stone people
Uncorrupted drogbar
It seems like the glowy stone people are some sort of magic force
If the harronir are in any way connected to the drogbar I want a god damn cookie
Because some earthen have the same purple glow infection thing
Really hoping the Niffen, Dracthyr, and drogbar actually remain relevant somehow this expansion
Mainly Dracthyr. Weâre underground investigating void. Emberthal, Ebyssian, Wrathion, somebody. Doesnât matter how just that they are there in some capacity
Even now, the Harbinger gathers the children of the first flesh to reclaim what was lost. They must remember their vows and serve those to whom they owe fealty.
While they toil in the deep places, we will journey to the shores of dragon lands, to the blessed isle where the Worldbreaker first embraced the whispers.
Maybe those children of the first flesh are the Harronir
Or the first victims of the Curse of Flesh in general
On our trip to London for the War Within alpha launch sumit we were given the chance to talk to Associte Design Director Maria Hamilton, and it's probably our favorite interview we've ever done!
Join us as we chat about the challenges of planning a narrative over three expansions in the World Soul Saga, where each expansion is at in terms of de...
I think it would be insanely awesome if a big reveal this expansion was that Nerubians -> Harronir -> Dark Trolls -> Trolls -> Elves
Great interview with Maria Hamilton another đ
Which is why the nightborne turned into weird spider creatures in Suramar when exposed to certain magics
and Night elves druids into Satyr when exposed to fel ^^
Finding out that elves and trolls are actually directly descendants of old god spawn would throw players through a damn loop thatâs for sure
Old gods where mountain of tumerous flesh , so they might be the " first flesh " and the children might be the nerubians or the harronir
Which would also make it so Tauren, Pandaren, Dracthyr, and Vulpera are azeroths true natives which would be fucking hilarious
And goblins!
Forgot about those lil dudes
I've always wondered : what was before the black empire ? what was on proto azeorth ? does races existing pre void empire survived the black empire ?
Yes but if we link the dots, Tauren might have been there before.
( I say might , it might be unlikely but... )
The eartmother tale said that :
- An'she and Mu'sha befriended the elemental
- All of them were in harmony and created life , and the Taurens
- Earthmother battled darkness and went to sleep
Chronicles said :
- Spirit made the element work in harmony
- Spirit was siphonned after an event, by the world soul
- Elements started to fight each others
And then came the Black empire
Its possible that the Earthmother tale is a mix of truth and lies, after titan's revisitation of the tales to hide stuff
Moreover, if we take into account that the first flesh might have been the old gods, and their children the nerubians, then it would mean that there were no flesh on azeroth prior the black empire.
So most likely, elemental being like stone trogg, stone furbolg and maybe stone tauren and stuff like this.
in short, primordial creatures
are troggs being byproducts of Earthen no longer true?
Stone Furbolg as far as I know are a new creation.
Furbolg were made by Ursoc and Ursal.
as far as we know. maybe ursoc and ursol gave fleshy forms to existing beings , its unclear at the moment.
Dunno about earthen. I'm not even sure earthen are creation of the titans to begin with
kultiran pal with retexture of all paladin horse !!!!
Odyn edict do say that the earthen they sent into Khaz Algar developped culture of their own that was similar to other earthen elsewhere in the planet with no contact, suggesting an influence of Azeroth
I mean it is cool how it's basically a diablo set
Earthen are titan creations, we have seen them made in the Halls of Stone.
wasn't the thing that troggs are corrupted earthen?
those yes, but maybe their template came from existing being
over generations
the first lore was that trogg were earthen corrupted by the curse of flesh that turned wrong and became trogg instead of dwarves
but then came stone troggs, which shouldn't exist if it was a bad mutation of earthen after the curse of flesh, if there was an anwser given about that, I don't know
We've only seen Stone Troggs in Deepholm correct? It might just be Therazane stole a few.
apparently current lore according to a wiki is they were the first batches of titan forged
weren't there stone troggs in uldaman this xpac
or am I misremembering
Earthen were also said to be based on a template that the Titans already had. They could have based the template off of something already existing
I need this
Oh hot damn one week after 10.2.7 we get remix!
Itâs been what 5 weeks since 10.2.6?
Just in the 5th week now.
Gosh all the stuff weâve just found out is making it so hard for me to choose what to main next expansion. Shamans and all the elemental stuff going down, paladin with Hallowfall and anduin, or Evoker
Hallowfall is really that effing amazing looking that I just want to play Paladin for that reason alone
That's why my main is a goblin hunter--never feels out of place regardless of where I am. Ultimate adventurer/mercenary vibes
Or your always out of place so it just feels normal đ
see I absolutely love the playstyle of devastation, but the armor limitations suuuuucckkk
Id love if they had the dracthyr limitation removed and new classes added for the timerunning but that's likely not happening at all.
Considering they said that other classes for Dracthyr are coming âearly TWWâ yeah Iâd say the chances are pretty slim lol
ah yeah its a warlock hero talent to summon a pit lord
its Very interesting they're adding tha tabard now after saying in an interview they're not revamping the guild tabard UI yet
and then the dang server crashes again
lmao i just tried to get on and was like "it's offline tho"
somehow mrgm is still online on it
mrgm is on ptr if i'm not mistaken
lmao they finally cleaned up the in dev forums
Probably not soon?
Theyâre the least likely class race combo by far
Excluding hero classes
@tepid fiber these are the guys I think might be related to Drogbar - the Skardin. Theyâre sorta similar. Theyâre listed as deviant so the non-void Skardin might be of interest
That seems further away from the drogbar than the harronir to me đ¤
Keeping an eye on it but
idk
Skardin are mutated dwarves, no?
Has anyone seen public alpha invites yet?
not i
Nothing yet
streamers don't even seem to have it yet
including those who went to the event
cook
Haha devs definitely pulled a couple all nighters this week alone
Sleeping in the office
Is it too late to sign up for alpha or is alpha closed to content creators only?
there will be new invites pretty constantly, it's never too late to sign up
Yeah I think theyâre having server issues
Oh ok, ya I tried signing up right now and it says wecouldnt sign you up
Do you have your account set up properly? Check your account settings
Idk the exact setting but you have to do a general flag for betas/alphas
They donât tend to invite players who havenât done a beta/alpha to the alpha tho
They will for betas but not alpha
Oh I've done PTR stuff before but I havent done alpha/beta
I had no idea theres a setting you have to enable
I don't think I've ever gotten an alpha invite, but if they're truly focusing on midcore players this time I might
I got into beta at the end of the second week.
Haha I go here and beta op-in is greyed out. Maybe my chrome is being weird. I have the xpac and subbed
did you try just clicking on it ? mine has the same colour but works
Reddit is already out of control
lmao did it on my mac and it worked
Is this what he was trying to warn us against?
Think of all the places a smaller jailer could have fit in
He would truly be unstoppable
context of the gif?
there is none
Yeah thatâs Andre the giant iirc, pro wrestler/actor. (He died like 30 years ago)
it's here
Hello there https://i.imgur.com/gaHUWCH.png
Fingers crossed but I suspect I didnât get it. Iâm sure you remember my difficulties with DF even though I am one of the most prevalent bug reporters
Nope - didnât get in.
Idk who wiped me off the list post-SLs but I dislike that person
It was me, sorry. It was one of those things where it was like âpress this button and get 1 million dollars but someone in the world gets taken of the tester list for blizzardâ :/
Zorbix is a producer, he used to be part of QA/Server team and still seems to be involved in getting PTRs etc up
Nothing here either :(
There will be more waves of invites!
I havenât gotten in post-SLs. I report a ton of bugs
I've got in to the last two or three on day 1, but not this time it seems
and that's without reporting anywhere near as much as peach
In order: BfA beta, SLs alpha, SLs beta, Korthia ptr, DF Beta didnât have one
Literally thousands of bugs reported just by me
I literally have a Reddit title on the wow Reddit because of the number of bugs I report
Idk why they took my name off the list. I wish I still had my Blizz contact
why he kinda look like jailer xD
Iâm waiting - I didnât get in until I was manually flagged for the DF beta
Not even alpha
I had to find a new dev person and now they donât work at Blizz either
I've never had alpha v.v and rarely beta
I don't have a wow sub, so I don't believe I even can get in to alpha if that's a requirement.
I don't believe it's a strict requirement, but it's likely one of many things that helps
I had day one alpha for BfA and SLs, and since I unsubbed for a period of time in SLs, havenât gotten day 1 alpha since
Idk if thatâs why or if they cleaned the internal list
But removing someone like me who probably reports more bugs per person than nearly any individual is crazy
well they reset something for sure
I got all the beta until DF
and nothing for DF
neither now it looks
I think one of the big things is your PC specs
I def have specs beyond what is needed
I also haven't the cata beta for example (and I pay 2k$ year to blizzard (with tokens))
so money paid is not a thing
it could be a factor of things, could be the content they want tested isn't normally what you engage with.
I donât think this is true. I play on very high settings and have my bug reports so thereâs clearly something else idk
they said its random, and as you can see in here what you do during past testing is irrevelent so I'm incline to believe them
more specifically, low specs are more likely to get in
cause they want the esoteric tech issues from bad PCs
have you changed pc ?
Nope
I've actually changed pc to high end PC before DF and no beta since DF,
Same PC I had during the Day 1 SLs alpha I got in to
maybe they want crappy pc on it
I think they lost their records of people like me who put out tons of bug reports
its not the quantity of reports
for sure
I mean I got all the beta since wod before df
and I've almost never reported bugs
even If I played a lot on them
Idk man - thatâs my main thing when I play
Fixing stuff
And checking weird shit no one else ever checks
Like broken flight points or ways to clip into the ground or doodads you can walk through
ye but I think is not the main factor since as I said I got many betas, but since df I had NO DF, no WTLK, NO CATa, No TWW
Well I donât play classic so I canât imagine the testing rules for that overlap
Iâm not even signed up for it
must be something else (not the money paid for sure since I pay 2k year with tokens/gold)
can someone tell me how to play, i just made a ac

you want to play the alpha or wow in gerneral ? alpha is closed and you have to be invited
a good explanation I had in the past the following, the 1st wave of accounts is manyally flagged so if the person who had you name in their list of accounts to flag is not working in blizzard anymore.
WoW
Looks like last beta i had was SL ...
But I've been subbed every month since before DF and reported stuff so IDK.
I don't even have cata beta
And I think is why I had neved been flagged anymore.
I also use 2 bnet account for the betas
the second one is inactive for years never got an invite.
can I ask if you have a good pc or an old one?
Good yeah
Well it's many years old but
good for wow
Why do you always get in?
I mean, congrats, but Iâm trying to understand the methods
I would love alpha but they know I don't test questing so I really don't need it before beta testing and m+
I'd love to mess around with hero talents
Pity conduit of the celestials is bugged to make effective testing possible
I mainly test questing
So that may be why Iâm not in yet
Might not be the current focus
Invites go out via email right?
Still find it odd that they didnât update the brewmaster tree
I have to assume it isnât being left as is
You can also check via your Bnet launcher or account
You donât have to do anything to access alpha besides install if you are flagged
I was right about the concentration thing being a crafting change
Did they finally center staves on the back?
I hope so
Though i wish we could turn weapons off like you can with clothes
Just have them appear when in use (i know some do this)
Alas, no alpha for me.
I seldom get into any of the betas, so I'm definitely not expecting to get into first wave alpha
I remember back when I got DF Beta, like a month before launch. Same day as Overwatch 2âs launch. Never ended up really contributing so I got zero hope of getting into testing until pre-order access begins
in Alpha remix shows its starts May 16th, wowhead found that remix should come out one week after 10.2.7 so 10.2.7 release date May 7th?
Pandamonium comes out a week after 10.2.7 launchs
Remember, Alpha invites come out in waves over time, so there will be more invites coming out even later today
yes, remix
S4 is on 10.2.6
Paanamonium got renamed to remix
not 10.2.7
I'm talking 10.2.7 not 10.2.6
on Alpha, it shows that remix starts May 17th
yeah i get it now
nah, that's a placeholder 100%, remix need some testing
i expect it late may
a month of testing seems good enough
no
remix will start on 16
let me copy my old post don't wanna wrote the explanation
some datas are already on database if you know where to find them
we know that it will end on 20th august, that it will last 2282 hours, so it will start on may 16th, alpha has confirmed it after my speculation.
so it is even more probable now đ
(unless they will change data again but for the moment is it from 16may to 20august)
Found an End Date for MoP Remix in alpha đ¤ https://i.imgur.com/SbeNgSw.png
check 1st july
and 20th August
8/19 for Prepatch you think or expansion launch haha
Expac launch
remix being a month away is pretty meh
Can't complain. This is probably the least content draught-y pre-expansion period WoW has had. Plunderstorm and transmogs to log in for and remix and Season of Discovery and what-not
wasn't super interested in plunderstorm. maxed renown then haven't touched it since. Also absolutely zero interest in anything classic related
Might be the least of any expansion but 10.2.6 was super light on content
basically gives one rotation of S4
Iâm guessing theyâll test it again
Because it probably needs another test
If my achieves from before carry over I might
Starting with 315% xp would be nice
I just want to make sure I can play aug Evoker from the get go and that XP after 60 is working
I doubt, we have 3 weeks to start and today they pushed a lot of fixes
so July Prepatch?
prepatch should be 27th August
Not excited for 12 weeks of downtime between 10.2.7 and prepatch then
well season 4 is out with a lot dinars to collect
and a lot of things to collect in remix
but yeah if you are not a collector not much to do
yeah as I said, if you are not a collector it will be meh
I honestly don't care much about awakened
I don't think they push the prepach before the end of the remix, since there is already an event for prepatch idk if Wowhead already spoiled it
but it should not overlap remix.
I mostly just want the mount from all normal raids
prepatch event seems pretty light, they mostly have been for the past few expansions
it's mostly for catchup gearing
My guess is yeah pre patch July and expac August or Sept
I was always on July prepatch and Sept expansion for 8 week cadence
according to the past, to the roadmap, to database, prepatch is 27, if they change everything from now until then it will change too but for the moment according to all the clues is the most probable for the 27th August.
Roadmap suggests nothing for prepatch beyond June 20-Sept 20
Iâm the same. I want the awakened raids mount and enough dinar to get SL fated mount. I wanted to try mythic ATDH to get the fire owl mount but I canât commit enough time or skill even with the ilvl increase. So itâs collecting all the things in Remix for me, which Iâm not mad about.
A lot depends on how the tuning lands
I suspect it'll be a bit easier than current
Some builds are probably gonna scale really stupidly with 39 more ilvls
I suspect so too, but idk if my guild is gonna do it. Also I imagine pugs will be horrendous
Have a guildie that tried some mythic pugs
I think he got tree down, but igira was basically impossible
maybe a few pugs have better luck but mythic lockout still applies so you get one shot a week
Yeah exactly thatâs the main problem there
Iâm gonna see if Drunk and Disorderly will put together mythic runs non awakened weeks for mount farming
oh doing them on non-awakened may well be possible
at most we will have a month prepatch
On a side note I really want Taivan but I resubbed in 10.2 so Iâm way behind. And I donât know if I have the time to grind it out. So as someone that want to collect everything thereâs almost too much coming up, but Iâm not complaining about too much content.
I have a bad news for the Blood Elf players
||Aethas will possibly die with the other members of the Council of Six||
If the warlock of dalaran help us but not the Council.. Yep..
dalaran has warlocks?
thought they were all shunned out, hence why the warlock class hall was not in dalaran
he doesn't, at least he's still around during early questing
I wonder what else we can throw out there to surprise and delight players⌠đââď¸

đ heâs a man after my own heart
The warlock hall is ...kind of in Dal, but just the portal
who is he ?
Just the lead software engineer for wow
Heâs the man in charge of most of these little projects plunderstorm/remix iirc
I was thinking, about Xal'atath, the question about him was never pointed out. It's always been "how did she become a dagger" or "who is she? An Old God? A Void Spirit". Personally, my question has always been "Why did the Old Gods encase him in a dagger?"
Sheâs an old god that was imprisoned by the other old gods. I believe.
I always thought that the Old Gods wanted to stray from their goal by wanting to rule Azeroth, rather than corrupt it and kill them when the Worldsoul emerged. What if Harbingers in general had the mission of monitoring the evolution of the corruption of a world-soul?
What if it was dreadlords again
And that in the case of those on Azeroth, rather than fearing that Xal'Atath would warn that they had chosen to overstep their mission, they encased it in a dagger to ensure that it would never warn the voidlords?
Or maybe War Within, the Black Empire and the Old Gods are part of Zovaal's 8d chess plan?
To be fair, since the Void Entities see all possibilities, they most certainly saw a tangible vision that the Dreadlords were serving the Jailer and seeking to weaken them.
Didnât they put her in the dagger because she would pretty much do anything to be stronger than the other old gods so they just decided to take her out of the equation? Although weâre not even sure how much of what we know is true anymore so /shrug
Honestly Iâm going with my theory that Xal IS our world soul and all of this is to give birth to her true body. Itâs a long shot but maybe who knows
On sait pas pourquoi ils l'ont maintenu dans une dague, peut-ĂŞtre qu'ils avaient vu quelque chose
I wouldn't go that far
I just think she's out for herself
She's a biiig fan of power
She doesn't work alone in fact, apart from Iridikron, you forget a very discreet character, present since the end of the Legion.
Listen the titans know how to birth world souls right and itâs been decades and they still havenât awakened Azeroth? Heck itâs almost as if they are trying to keep her asleep sometimes. Idk
Which has manifested itself several times in small events external to the history of BFA, Shadowland and recently Dragonflight.
a legion remix if that eventually happens could actually be really sick
I think itâs way too early to be thinking about other remixes
I'm just sayin it could be cool
tbf when the Pantheon found Azeroth she was kind of infected with a bad case of Black Empire. Probably a lot of reno work to do alongside layers of overredundant purification systems out the whazoo just because she's worth the effort. I don't think it's anything more complex than that. Sometimes the simplest answer is the right one
like WoD/Legion are very remixable if they're thinking of doing more of them
Dont talk about WoD
hey remix is for levelling content, WoD's was good
apart from killing of maraad that was L
Or Wod with Farhalon, Apogid region, and the others shits unused
We talk about what was there, not about what wasn't
During Alpha, it was 1000% sure the final boss was planned to be Medivh
Talking about content that never existed doesn't help lol
every xpac has cut content and redirection lmao
remember when the vault of the incarnates was literally on the other side of the isles
This is fair, I just think it would be a neat twist after all this time the world soul that weâve been actively protecting and helping this whole time turns out to be one of our greatest enemies.
Of course thatâs probably not gonna be true anyhow but soon enough we will know the ending
WoD was definetly cut down, but the stuff that was there was pretty good
That wasn't my point, I'm not debating whether or not cut content is a thing, I'm just saying talking about content that doesn't exist doesn't help move forward a conversation of what things are as we know
Wod, expansion with a big patch on Farhalon was cut, with a raid in Shattrath, a megadungeon in the Apogid theme, with the final boss Medivh/Sargeras and lore concerning the relationship of Yrel with Archimonde
Cut items or unused colors?
ye I'm on your side
the titans have almost nailed azeroth down with their installations tbf
and all their installations are near points of potential corruption it feels like
The titans are tyrannical assholes who kill absolutely everything that doesn't want to fall into their delirious order.
specifically the installations that go into the planet, not just the labs on the surface
tbf that's more Aman'thul. Not all of the Titans are malicious jerks
there's all the sights around the old gods to stop their stuff leaking into the planet, you could argue that tyrhold prevents elemental 'corruption' seeping in (or at least suppressing azeroths potential natural elementality), for all we know the big installation in TWW could be to counteract the influence of the big light crystal the arathi surround
apogid?
"Hey guys, come on, let's do a lab to understand the Old Gods" = Failed with the birth of G'Huun who made a terrible mess.
"Hey guys, what do you think we're keeping the heart of the most powerful old god of the Black Empire to try to study it?" = Failed with all the MoP mess that followed
âHey Eonar, do you think youâre making a dream world just to do some tests?â = Failed with a single elf who allowed the Old Gods to corrupt the Place
the titans aren't outright malicious, they're basically the epitome of lawful neutral
but neutral doesn't mean "in the middle of everything" it means their morality shifts way more often depending on your relation to their code
Yes, content on the apogids which was cut, generally they are the ancestors of the Arrakoa, who living in flying cities
like if you saw a weed in your garden, taking nutrients from your well tended plants, would you rip it out? your answer isn't good or evil inherently, just marks your character
Is this the guy in charge of the experiments department at blizz
amanthul saw that one tree as a weed, and we understand that as potentially evil because we undestand more of the ramifications of it as well as value things like the tree
but to amanthul, it was just a weed on his garden
amanthul still probably thinks of most mortals as ants
Interesting, thought I knew everything there was to know about wod's cut content lol - I've never heard of the apogid before, didn't realise there was a cut miniraid with them haha
that naturally would make him an antagonist to us, but not one that is malicious or can't be reasoned with
Eonar is looking to be a potential ally because she is sympathetic to life, like elune
(and those two are close also)
The thing with the titans is that this "impartial neutrality" is questioned several times, including by their own creations (Algalon who saw worlds disappear because the titans didn't like that they didn't follow THEIR vision, and recently Tyr on the fact that yes, imposing the Order on the dragons was perhaps not the best idea). The titans never give a choice, they IMPOSE their vision
For me that makes them despicable tyrannical assholes, but for them, it's normal, and logical in their pursuit of the Order, and considers that these are the best choices to make, without taking into account the free -arbitrator and the opinion of others. Because the titans think they are right about absolutely everything.
And Iridikron knows it, and that's why he is angry with the titans, even if it means allying himself with the Void, because all he wants is to impose free will and completely annihilate this vision of order despotic. It's the same, of all the possible timelines including Ulderoth, why did they prefer to keep the canonical WoW timeline rather than a timeline where the world-soul is saved? Even he asks Chromie the question (and certainly the answer that goes with it)
Uwudikwon
Shinydikron
So what is the answer to that question?
I worry how blizz will make the whole world soul saga digestible and accessible for players. While Metzen being back is a great sign for me personally (yes I know their were some questionable lore directions in the past with him too), I fear what the overarching âreasonsâ are for why the Titans exist and what the âtrue purposeâ is. I just hope they donât introduce concepts that players canât really grapple with because of unrealistic (even for a fantasy game) plot points like SL. But it needs to be more complex than âfree will vs order and designâ or good vs evil. Also, we need some real stakes imo. Idk how you can do that because you canât really have the player/ hero âloseâ.
Oh boy are you in for a ride in TWW and midnight then, these two are not gonna be good for us
Not good for us as a player/ hero sense. Or because the lore isnât gonna be good.
As a player/ the hero
Well thatâs good for me. I just hope we actually like âloseâ in the final raid tier for TWW. Make the stakes really high that lead into midnight, and then make us lose again.
These are speculated to be âlosingâ expansions for us
They even said at blizzcon âthings donât always go they we we expect them, which leads us to the elves and reuniting them in midnightâ or something along those lines
I think we might rescue the worldsoul at the end of TWW and bring it to the sunwell to âawakenâ and thatâs why the void comes.
Go watch the reveal for the world soul saga
Idk just a thought
Iâll watch it again. Itâs been months
Iâm calling it now the worldsoul had a twin. And itâs in Ulduar. lol
Hell yeah. I wonder how much scourge we will see left. Also is Bolvar still on the frozen throne? Iâm not sure what happened to him with SL.

What makes you say that?
Tbf with the whole "zereth" meme, azeroth does sound like a potential way of saying multiple zereth
Cool theory
And could explain the multicoloured nature of azerite, the planets uniqueness, etc
I donât know, it just popped in my mind. Honestly nothing to back it up haha.
world soul cant have a twin
its LITERALLY the planet
the entire planet is the world soul
100%
I wouldnât be surprised if thereâs 1 or two people concepting 14.0
Maybe not art but big picture stuff.
unlikely
theyre probably focusing on the worldsoul saga
Fair point
I was just checking out official TWW Alpha forum and there are literally 0 posts except for Blue posts giving overviews of some crafting changes and class hero talents. I bet this means the 1st wave of invites was only a few hundred people, mostly those that were in the content creator alpha a few days ago. Iâm hoping a larger more random invite wave goes out tomorrow for the weekend.
Not a twin, something that was born from within the black empire mass sacrifices
" hear heart is a crater, and we have filled it "
They poured void and shadow in it and a creature was born from it, imo
Pretty sure those who got the 1st wave of invite will be going through every detail and give massive feedback as things are written.
Its the 1st build of ALPHA, as early as it gets. There isn't much to really go on atm as very few systems are able to be tested yet.
Well actually all the systems are testable in some way
We're only missing a few hero talent trees, warbands and delves are already in.
No resto shaman hero tree
They have farseer
The other one
Despite buying the Epic Edition, i'd prefer to avoid alpha/beta as i'm trying to not get slapped by story spoilers.
Farseer is elemental that can be used as resto iirc
So waiting on the rsham themed one that another spec uses
Hero talents are shared between two specs, none really are just one spec.
Farseer is ele/resto. If anything it's more resto themed than ele
No they aren't
Has sanlayn
Clearly blood themed
Rider clearly unholy themed and deathbringer clearly frost
Arms has colossus
Lorewise, yes. THose are their themes
Ye thatâs what I mean
But talent wise, they can be shared on 2 specs
San'layn are LITERALLY Vampiric undead elves.
Farseer is still more resto than ele if that's what you want to focus on.
Lorewise, Farseer is a mix of both.
Isnât the other hero tree called like tide caller
Totemic
Clearly more resto themed imo
Not really, totems are pretty generic for shaman
Since half ur kit is totems
While itâs almost pure utility for the others
Either way, I want to see other shaman tree
Bring back earthquake on golem
Resto has literally called on ancestors since vanilla, just saying lol.
I just find hero trees are class fantasy over spec fantasy for the most part.
Hero Trees are spec-themed, and doesn't have to align with their lore. Keep that in mind.
But this started off the "not many systems to be tested yet" when we can test like 80% of all new system stuff already
I went from what i've read so far while avoiding spoilers, i don't have Alpha and can't speak for most of it.
||dumbledore dies||
It's just tww isn't adding a ton of systems like previous expansions
Sorry not sorry
Warbands are literally the biggest box feature followed by delves which are just dungeons with slightly interesting mechanics
Hoping the harder mode of delves is interesting
From what Iâve seen the low ones look incredibly mediocre
Given Ion implied early testing is gonna be a different zone each week for focused testing we might be in beta in a month
The disappointment of waking up to people saying Alpha invites have started and seeing you've an email from Blizzard for the first time in a while, only to find out it's "The Darkmoon Faire Begins in Warcraft Rumble!"
I got excited just to see the email about the collectors edition
Same
Me getting one that says "sign up for beta"
except I've got epic edition so I've got it anyways
I signed up for beta even with epic edition just incase
For some reason I think beta access for epic edition might not be when beta begins, more like guaranteed later on in beta
That would be kind of annoying honestly to give priority to 'lottery'
Regular edition lottery should be prioritized for Alpha since the Epic Edition folk already bought their way into beta. đ
Honestly? I've been in other game alphas and there's usually not a lot to do so im personally ok waiting on beta.
Like i just got an invite to pax dei but i don't want it cause i know it'll be empty
pog??
That needs to function as a forge
Please reply to the male night elf neck. In the past, male night elves were not hunchbacked. And now it's hunched over and neckless. Please fix him. Other races have been optimized. Only male night elves are vilified.
I hope someone can help and tell Blizzard.
I'll get back to you on that once undead, troll and worgen can stand straight
That's right. I don't know why it seems like there are only male night elves. Modeling was incorrectly modified.
But Blizzard made the mistake of modifying the male night elf. Other races have been optimized. It seems Blizzard knows what people like more. It seems like Blizzard has intentionally vilified male night elves in the past.
Might want to go to blizzard forums then. Cause this isn't an official server for it
I've been there and seemed ignored.
amazing artwork
Gonna have the same experience here
can't blame them, they've been bearing the weight of the story for several expansions now đ
This is not to blame, I am just stating the facts. Currently, only male night elves have experienced such strange changes. As a player who has played Night Elf Druid for more than ten years. It looks so weird.
i just saw a post from barny, blizzard confirmed that the big cannon from azshara will be fired in TWW?
Ooo, cannon canon?
yeah, dont know if its true
would be cool tho
I think that's a joke
based around how alex afrasiabi at blizzcon said it'd be fired in bfa
It's been "confirmed" multiple times
damn, i only had a tiny bit of hope
V.V
Someone posted a Twitter link last night and i realize now that the hint might be ...character customizing?
đâď¸?
That's how Dalaran gets shot down
