lost stygia is not cumulative - if you don't retrieve your body before dying again (and idk about server restarts etc) it's permanently gone

It incentivizes not dying, and enforces the principle that the Maw is a dangerous place. Either avoid situations where you'd die, or spend your stygia/send it to alts so that you don't lose so much of it

Honestly, I think this "feature" shouldn't have been there from the start. It's not really part of that "encouraging to go to Maw". I definitely wasn't happy to find out I lost 5k because they placed my body at unreachable place. I googled that problem and there is an actual official statement from Blizzard about it that says: We don't have a solution to that unfortunately, but are aware of the problem.

the maw should been just another version of island expeditions. timed 3 man 10 minute mini dungeons that focuses on going in taking something and getting the fuck out.
