My criticism is essentially if you have 4 color motifs the definition of "matching" is being a bit stretched

I think if you look at the set closer you see the details I was going for, where the tiny circles on mog look like the ones of the same colors on the mount. The gold is definitely not exactly the same and I see that very easily now. I guess the mount's gold is more of a cherry-ish shade.

its there to reinforce the feeling of danger
