If you unlock the appearance, you need to equip your artifact weapon and visit your order hall and view it at the ?weapon forge? or whatever you view the different unlocked appearances at. Only then will you see it in your transmog.

Yeah once you get whatever appearance it is, go to your class forge, use that look and then exit the game before relogging to add it.

Not a big fan of Uldir armor as a whole, but the pieces are good for cross-transmogging.
