I really like the lower part of it (chest, waist, hands, feet) but I find the shoulder pad to be a little bulky for the rest of it (although matches well with color) and the head seems a little misplaced, maybe because of the shoulder or maybe because the color doesn't match with the rest of it or maybe because it seems to blend in with his beard.. not sure though. Maybe try to swap one or the other out and see how it turns out?

Now, back to the matter. My opinion isn't that the mog has to be all red (when did I ever say that anyway?), my opinion is that it doesn't match. If you know something about design you know that there should be a unity in what you make. The unity in this mog is rope and leather foremost; the shoes, the hands and the chest all unites in that manner and brings it all together. The shoulderpad is made of metal with spikes which makes it stand apart from the former three, which is fine but you have another one that stands apart from the rest: the head. One part is stylish, two parts makes it messy (if they are as big as they are here). What mainly makes the head misplaced isn't the color; it's the hard-edged, metal crown. Yes, it clashes in color but more importantly it clashes with the synergy of the rest of the gear.
In my opinion one of them should be changed to tie the other to the rest of the gear. Geez, can't believe I had to spell out an opinion...
Also, what's really is the most important thing of all is that the creator - in this case Jiaormel - is happy with it
