you can see that the first one is marked as p2 content and the second one is marked as p6 content if you click on the individual items, but as it was stated:
"That’ll change once phase 2 rolls around and we add the Honor System, which will introduce Honorable Kills, Dishonorable Kills, and PvP Rank Rewards. The items you earn from the PvP Rank Rewards will be the versions from patch 1.12." (source: https://classic.wowhead.com/guides/classic-pvp-system-overview)
should mean that since the items are from patch 1.12 and the first set was removed during 1.11 meaning that the second set should be introduced with p2 instead of the first one

Hi there, some quick feedback: we have the wowhead wow classic bot on discord, but lately it's been posting EVERY bit of blizzard news. Wow Classic bot needs to keep to the wow classic news - that's the point of the damned thing. Whoever is tagging heathstone and diablo 4 news for the wow classic bot needs to stop. We're almost at the point where we delete the bot from our server.

Classic is basically the webhook without retail / ptr, ptr is the webhook without classic and (I think?) Live, retail is the webhook without ptr or classic

When you blast the webhooks with stuff people don't want, then they learn to ignore them
Which is what you said is the opposite of your intentions.
If you increase the quality of the content going out over webhooks, you'll be more likely to get click through conversions to the site
I know as it stands now, myself and many other discord owners are ready to remove the webhooks from posting in our servers. There is no point in them being there if they keep dumping content that isn't relevant to our users interest.

Currently there's also a drought of Live news, if we exclude the 15th Anniversary, but yeah I can understand how it's annoying to get more news unrelated to the webhook's purpose (by name)

We track analytics involving each of the webhooks and there's no less engagement from Classic webhook users visiting 'Blizzard' or 'Wowhead' categorized news, through the Classic webhook, than any of the others. We have a great deal more data available to us to make these decisions and adjustments than any one server, or cluster of them.
If you no longer wish to use the webhook in your server(s) due to the occasional article coming through that you aren't interested in, and you're certain no one else wants to see it in your server, then we respect your wish to remove it entirely. This is a completely optional feature we're offering to the community and if it doesn't meet your needs then we're not going to try to convince you to continue using it. By all means remove it if that's what you feel is best.
For the most part, during ~11 months out of the year, it's not going to contain very many articles that aren't Classic related. Again, the decision is yours. We have no plans to make further changes at this time.
Feel free to replace references to 'Classic' with any of the other webhook varieties.

Posts tagged "Blizzard" are sent to all webhooks. Usually Blizzard-tagged posts are not posted often enough for this to be an issue, with BlizzCon being the only time of the year where the webhooks might become a bit flooded.
We've been reporting Diablo IV news as it is content people that visit Wowhead are interested on, according to the data we have.

Warcraft III has a single category, we don't have a PTR/development/beta category for WCIII. Historically we've had very little news for it, and are likely not to have a ton in the future, it's just right now, and we opt'd to stick it in retail.

Hey guys, just wanted to report a weird issue I'm having where the site is redirecting me to classic wow pages from the live version of the site. I have only the checkbox for BfA checked (I don't play classic at all). I even tried clearing my cache/cookies and doing it again and it's continuing to do so. I noticed it today when I was searching the druid spell Rebirth. The search results page shows the correct tooltip for the ability, but when I click on it, it very briefly goes to the correct page and then redirects to the classic page. Here are the links for what I'm referring to.

Our item XML data endpoint (found at URLs like this one) uses a legacy data format which we haven't updated in a long time. Since it launched, there have been other resources made available at Blizzard's official API with accurate information in a convenient JSON format.

No, no announcement, if they don't respond the named winner would update in Gleam on the 2nd attempt. If that one doesn't respond the prize is cancelled and either not purchased or reused in a later opportunity.

You know, a while ago I complained about news filters on the front page making you only have like 1-2 news articles per page.
But somehow filtered articles there but blurry is even more annoying.
Why can't we just have it load x not filtered stories per page lol

The hope was to make it clearer that news is still being posted, but you still weren't seeing it if you decided not to. Several people would filter news and then be confused why nothing had been posted recently, or nothing at all was appearing. We thought this might be a good compromise. No other sites like ours allow the filtering of news, and we're trying to strike a balance here. Nonetheless, I'll be keeping everyone's feedback in mind to consider other alternatives should we decide not to stick with this version.

I'm considering the idea of hiding the news you've deselected, showing the most recent 10 articles that aren't filtered, and having a narrow bar added below 'News - Types' that makes it clear that "# posts have been filtered from this list due to your preferences. Click to reveal these posts." -- Or something of that nature. We'll see, further discussion will need to take place.

Thumbnails are human only. It's just meant to give you a quick glance, if interested in seeing it on something else you just load it up and select the race/gender from there. It'd be far to many images to generate if we included all races and both genders.

I only got a suggestion for the Discord, the main site is well done as is. Could it be possible a Lore Discussion channel be implemented? This'd make more room in other channels not relevant to lore, and could help new players/RPer's if they were to stumble upon the server. Just an idea, hope it helps in some way or another.

I'm having an issue, ongoing but seems to be getting worse this last week, where i'll get between 2 - 4 news msgs pushed to my personal discord channel. Anything I can do for that?

Assuming that you don't have multiple webhooks (Retail / PTR) in the same channel, there is a bug on Discord's side where occasionally it will show the same webhook post more than once. If you are running into the latter case there isn't anything the Wowhead team can do about it.

You can check in other channels (like #latest-news ) to see if it was send multiple times there as well. Usually if you see it multiple times in multiple places is an issue on our end or a global issue on Discord. We work our best to avoid duplicates and fix any issues with the webhook so that doesn't become a problem to anyone.
However, keep in mind that if you have multiple webhooks installed in the same channel (like PTR and Retail), they do have overlaps, so those messages would be doubled.

Ok. I checked my webhooks, didn't really know that was a thing but poked around and found it. (still pretty new to backend stuff) Anyway, there was only one wowhead webhook but i did have 3 giveaway hooks...deleted those. The post i received two of last night was the warcraft 3 murloc pics and checking your new channel there is only one so not sure where that leaves us. i guess a discord issue?

Honestly @teal dragon I think the referral system should be brought back. I've had friends on my guild discord that know nothing of premium and once I explained the pricing format and advantages they decided next payday they will get premium for a year. With the referral code, that would allow my account to be credit for those referrals whether I receive a credit of say $0.10 per referral or even a free month after so many referrals join premium. The credits is something that would be nice BUT I don't see a need for it, I feel referrals is another method of site achievements.

It comes from Blizzard's API not showing characters below level 10. Even though Classic doesn't use an API some of our sites functionality is built upon the assumption that the character is at least lvl 10 so we kept that moving forward.

There is no functionality for dropdowns in Discord embeds, the best that can be done is multiple messages (which the bot does for multiple references in the same message)

The dropdown menu on the top right opens on mouse over, that's fine, but don't make clicking the dropdown navigate away from the page you are on.
Especially since there already is a dedicated link to the user's profile page in that same dropdown button.
Also, is there a way to have the side bar permanently closed by default on the site?

@high wyvern Everyone has their preferences, we added the 'User Page' link in that drop down a long time ago when people didn't know/think to click. Others know instinctively to click and are accustom to that. Regarding the side bar, with the ads, no, that cannot be permanently closed unless you're Premium.

The issue that I am having is the add removal of being a Premium user does not seem to be working on my account. I have made sure that I am logged in to my wowhead account, closed the browser and re-opened it, but that has not resolved it. I also noticed that when I go to the premium settings on my account it says that my premium status is "inactive", yet when I try to upgrade it says I already have a premium account, which I thought I did in the first place.

I cant understand howto track toys, I did install the client and uploaded to "profiler" but I cant see toys there.
Your Profile will have a new "Toys" tab which displays all of your toys, broken down by source so you can easily decide which to collect.

I do think this could be because of abandoning some games, but surely this would just create more room in the questing panel? I'm currently unable to load any of my characters at classic.wowhead.com/planner
I can see a list of the characters that I have logged in to while the wowhead client is running, but upon clicking them I'm again prompted to "Load a character to get started!"

The /planner is not a Classic tool.
Not all of our tools can or do work with both Classic and BFA. The /planner is one of them, which is why it's not included in the Classic Tools dropdown.
Check out the 'Tools' dropdown on the classic subdomain to see what tools we offer for Classic. We'll make it easier to know this though. Thank you!

I do not like the Holy Paladin BiS page. You do not show the next BiS or optional like the resto druid BiS page shows. Also this is out of date and not 100% accurate, I find it hard to believe that Phase 2 BiS off hand is not the Lei of Lifegiver from AV exalted. Can we get these changes incorporated so when we are in a Raid loot council we can compare some classes to another more efficiently.

I see the issue with the holy paladin AV page - Lei of the Lifegiver is listed as BiS in p3, which likely means our writer didnt update it for BGs coming last week.. We'll have it fixed and notify the author. Thanks for the report!

I would like the author to look at the healing druid BiS and Healing Priest BiS for some guidance on what we are looking for. Also the Corehound BiS waist is not even out yet, doesnt get release til phase 3, why is it on the phase 2 raid page and not on pre raid phase 3??? I think this author needs to take more time and do more research, very upsetting to see this on a very well respected website.

I'm filing a complaint: the videos on the wowhead site start auto-playing when i visit them on mobile. (Videos like the BfA intro cinematics etc)

@frosty frost This has been complained about many times, the answer they always give is 'muh advertisement' and they don't do anything about it. Best you can do is just install Blokada or apple equivalent and block anyclip. It's the only way to stop the damn thing from playing.

Regardless of the outcome, I am perfectly happy using Chrome as it is my browser on PC too and the automatic sync makes life a lot easier. Not going to change browser on mobile just because a few sites misbehave

Discord Suggestion: FAQ channel that answers questions but cant be posted in. Includes answers to commonly asked questions such as: How do I make gold? What class should I play? How do I do X Content (where X is artifacts or nazjatar or whatever people are currently asking about)? And more! The achievements chosen are pretty basic, related to celebrating Winter Veil. It's a chance to reward people that are participating in the in-game holiday activities. If you do not have the achievements, but complete the them during the duration of the holiday, your profile will update and you will be eligible to enter.

Your character has to be able to be queried on the Battle.net API: If you don't have active game time it's possible they are no longer returning results for your character as they purge them from active data after some time.

Hey I don't know if it's just me but when I try to click on links from either the search results or for example the little card with a related guide on an items post it gives me a popup rather than go to the page. The only way I can seem to get around it is by holding in and opening it in a new tab

To clarify, it's a mobile feature. On a desktop, if you hovered over the links you'd get the tooltip popup. Since there's no hover on mobile, you click it to see the tooltip, and then tap the link to go to the page 🙂

So I'm trying to clear out a personal guild bank on a server I don't play on much, auctioning off all the BoEs. There's an item I found that, according to Auctioneer and Undermine, has a ridiculously high sell value. I tried popping over to WoWhead to look it up and see why, but every time I search for it, the site defaults to the Classic view -- I can't get it to stay on BfA.
Does this mean it no longer drops on modern WoW, and I somehow stumbled upon a hidden treasure? Or is something with the site broken? If it's the former, is there any setting I can change to keep WoWhead from switching to Classic, since I don't play it, and instead just have it tell me it's not a current-WoW item with an option to click a link for the Classic version?

Can anyone help with getting the Classic Attunement tracker to work? I have downloaded the client and uploaded the data. Yes, i checked the logs and it said "upload successful." If you believe you're uploading data, I highly encourage you to check the username you're using on the site and the one displayed in the Client Options, perhaps you're uploading to some other account.

they give a piece of gear that has scaling ilvl
so it gives a MAX of 440
but i believe the lowest is somewhere between 410-420

Hey guys I'm having this error appear when I try to upload data through the Wowhead client
I checked the link that the message redirects to but it talks about deactivating AVG or Kaspersky, I have neither of those, I even tried to deactivate windows defender firewall but it's still the same

Hello~ Is it possible to create OR filters on the classic site? For example, I want to search for all cloth items that have spell power OR frost power.

Are you sure your bot is configured correctly? We always hear when non Classic news hits the classic bot and at least on our end, nothing has changed on our filters and the posts are correctly configured to not go there.
