Related to the new warfront article, you didn’t mention any of the other content in arathi. While your faction has control of the zone, and you can teleport there, there are tons of rare elites that can be defeated with groups for loot and some of them are the sources for those mounts datamine a while ago.

Thx @arctic cairn . @glossy remnant , the Premium nicknames correspond to our WoWHead ones. My Discord username is JustACanadian_Gamer, while my WoWHead one's adam99188. I want my nickname on this server and Discord username to match, and to do that, I need to change my WoWHead username (I assume for verification reasons, to make sure I actually have premium or not). Basically, my question was if the change was automatic, or if it's checked, or if I need/should PM Sas or not.

Okay, so while I could get around not having an active subscription on the last giveaway by logging into a low-level character, this one can't be. Are there any other acceptable options for the screenshot than the in-game UI? I know Wowhead had an importer for the artifact calculator, but it's erring whenever I try to import my main. Would that even be acceptable? :S

This can be done, but i think the effort todo this would not be worth it. Wowhead would need to implement a way to connect a wowhead account to a twitch account (twitch provides apis todo this). After the accounts are linked wowhead could check if a subscription for the wowhead twitch channel exists if this is the case wowhead premium could be activated for the user. But like i said, needs quite a bit of work todo so.

@jovial nest While we appreciate our Twitch Subscribers, it's not possible to have that linked up to Wowhead (as nawuko pointed out). There's a rather small # of people who subscribe there, and the amount of work it would take is more than it's really worth. Hope you understand. If you're a subscriber to our Twitch channel though, you can get that role automatically here by linking Discord to Twitch, but it only affects the Discord, not the site.

@plucky fractal Since wowhead is a big website and people look into the how to acquire the order hall mount all the time and ll and all the requirements ARE different, it is very discouraging to see another rep grind ahead of you (for allied races, various hidden skins etc.). I thought it is nicer to users in the webpage that they get up to date information rather than old/outdated information. and this was feedback, not attempt to do peoples job.

What do i know, but I doubt the wowhead staff has time to go trough every page that they have ever made to pinpoint details that are out of date, and I'm not expecting them to. Since staff can't be expected to go trough all of it, I thought feedback would be helpful so staff can see where the outdated information is to update (since it's one of the first results on google).

So weird. Yeah, that doesn't make sense to me. As @viscid heart mentioned, the Beta servers should be the same for both and list as being under the PTR region, rather than EU/US. Sounds like that may either be misinformation from the GMs or Blizzard didn't inform anyone that they were changing the system. :S

The email from Blizz can take 3-5 business days to come in. They had a build on Tuesday and they usually do a wave of invites at every build. Today would be business day 3

Best way to check is just to check your accounts on the website. If you have 2 PTR accounts, one is for the PTR and the other is for the Beta.

@arctic cairn, I know that's how it's labeled in the launcher, but I was referring to the actual website. On there, if you are in both the PTR and the Beta, you should have 2 PTR accounts listed. I believe the one labeled for the current expansion is the actual PTR while the one listed for the base game is the Beta, but don't quote me on that.

Please do this Delete the +Wowhead_Looter.lua (and +Wowhead_Looter.lua.bak) file in your World of Warcraft/WTF/Account/<Account Name>/SavedVariables folder. Then, go relaunch World of Warcraft. Give it a minute, close it and try to upload again.

There is something that i noticed in the dressing room (yes i use that a lot.. maybe too much) if you checked the "use the upright posture" for the mag'har orcs(im not sure if its the case on a regular orc aswell) and you close the page and then come back again it doesnt "remember" that you checked it. its something extremely minor but its just something i noticed ^^

Query killer kills any requests that are taking too long, it's to ensure site stability. Sometimes it has to be tuned to be more or less aggressive.

I got a weird one. I tried to load my character's artifact on PC Chrome and get "Error fetching iterynil on US-Fizzcrank from Blizzard Battle.net" On Android Chrome, it loads just fine. 😮

On the PC, I can see in the Developer Tools that it's erring when making the XHR to the Blizzard API, but there's no status code, only "(failed)".

Figured it out. I use an addon for blocking tracking cookies and the like and it was (for some reason) flagging the API call. So, for anyone else that encounters this, check addons like "Privacy Badger". 😉

Hey guys, I just want to report that I don't know what happened to the website but every time I open it in Firefox while I got World of Warcraft running, my computer gets so overwhelmed with adds that everything crashes. Even Youtube is not causing my computer to crash. I really love your website, but the fact that everything crashes because of it makes me consider using another website.

@torpid bane Can you elaborate? The moment you open Wowhead on Firefox the site crashes? How is it getting overwhelmed with ads? There's at most 4 ads on a page. They do refresh every 90 seconds or so, but you shouldn't have any issues with it (though this largely depends on your system I suppose, and any other browser plugins/addons you may be running). There is the possibility of a resource issue if the page is open for an extended period of time, usually 30+ minutes. If it begins to lag at all usually a simple refresh of the page will resolve it.

If this is absolutely not possible, I'd like to ask that you consider trying out the site without the addons/extensions, one by one, to see if any one in particular is perhaps exacerbating the issue. For example. using uBlock instead of AdBlock, if that's what you're using. Ultimately we'd prefer you go Premium, so we get some support while you don't see ads, but I'd still rather you not have a hard time on the site so maybe a different addon would be less of a conflict.

We try to keep up with adblockers to prevent these sort of conflicts but since we don't actually develop them it's hard to keep apprised of their changes, and ultimately they should be the ones resolving the issue on their end. Still, since that's easier said than done, a different type might prove beneficial.

If you aren't logged in and are seeing that much memory it's likely a bad ad and the team would probably like a report of that using the Feedback -> Advertising issue (which includes a history of the ads showing for that session)

Not sure what happened but suddenly wowhead password is invalid, I didn't change it. it's just no longer valid. I can login with battle.net, but I cannot change password since no password for current password works. Is there an automated reset process that can be tried that I just am not seeing. Won't fix whatever caused it to be invalid in first place but might get back to usuable state

No, although if you load up your character on wowhead.com/list, there should be an option to "pin" the character. Doing so will add a 'completed' notification and checkmark to all tooltips, and there will be an additional completion column in search results

We're using power.js for SE&L, but it seems I lied and it seems we're using the base domain and not the bfa subdomain

So my question is invalid I guess. There are some oddities like Elemental Mastery and Master of the Elements sharing the same spell ID but I'll just have to do that manually until the BFA data is rolled over to the base wowhead domain

Yeah, once BFA is merged into LIVE it should be fine. But, if not, you may need to go in and remove any db=bfa you have.

If it's not already in the dressing room, it will most likely not be until it's live. It must have been put in the game as a different format than what the dressing room accepts.

@rocky acorn a more technical explanation is that Blizzard likely hasn't added the tier models to any actual in-game item yet so, while I can preview them manually, adding them to the dressing room is a more complicated task due to how it is build.

on a lot of the BFA coverage I sometimes get broken tooltips in that they show "No response from server :("

for example on the newest news article https://www.wowhead.com/news=285346/battle-for-azeroth-8-0-pre-patch-coming-july-17th when mousing over the Biting Frostshard Core in the Collection updates section I get that result

this error shows on all of the items under the collection updates section

but spell tooltips work fine further up in the same posts

I've cleared cache and cookies, have dug around premium options wondering maybe something there broke them but i haven't been able to find a solution

this is on google chrome, my internet does not exhibit any issues so I've ruled that out as the cause

there's no ad blocking or script blocking on either chrome or edge (considering i have no need for it as a premium user)

Hi @proud chasm According to http://bfa.wowhead.com/spell=77486/mastery:-madness, mastery is a flat damage increase (as of Jul 06), as it increaes the damage of all our abilities except Mind Bender - but a lot cheaper than Versatility, which does essentially the same. The guide (http://www.wowhead.com/shadow-priest-stat-priority-guide ) states 'Intellect > Haste > Critical Strike > Versatility >> Mastery' and that's what startled me about the creation date of the guide. Haste will probably still be better than Mastery (especially in multitarget encounters) but I would question the value of Crit and Versatility compared to Mastery.

To clarify what @dreamy pivot said, currently it seems the icon for Arms Warriors has this style attribute on it for some bizarre reason:

Hilariously, Assassination Rogue is also wrong, as it uses https://www.wowhead.com/spell=53/backstab for the icon, which is a Subtlety ability.

hey, i also noticed that drop-down menu for disc priest, balance, resto dru and all hunter specs show different icon than it shows in "Specialization" in a talent calculator here

It's not out of the question, but we don't actually have any inventory of it, Design By Humans handles all that, we just get a royalty, so if we did a giveaway we'd be buying it just like everyone else.

@verbal sky There are roles you can added for each faction and region which sort of allows you to do that. I don't think individual ranks and associated colors are going to be happening for something that's just 'vanity'.

@vernal rune azerite traits don’t really help you level. They provide tiny boosts
