Back during Hallow's Eve I submitted corrections for all the incorrect Candy Bucket locations but was told they weren't sure how to actually fix it. (I submitted feedback and selected bug as the type for each one.)

Yeah, there were 12-15 of us sitting there when it spawned. I think everyone did a normal tag shot first, cause his health wasn't moving, then about 5 seconds later it started going down. I'm pretty sure we all got to tag him.

apparently its being offered in those regions as those players never got a chance to get the mount due to the Diablo 3 promotion not being available to them.

Hello, Just wanted to know wheter or not it was an issue on my end, or this is just something which takes a very long time to load, but I am trying to load the Quests tab on my list section of WoW Head in order for me to track what I need to complete for the Draenor pathfinder. Was wondering if it will just take a while to load up the request or I need to do something else on my end, All of the other tabs load fine just quests never seem to load

I checked and, at the moment, NA seems to match up +/- 1%. I can't check EU personally but, make sure you're looking at the right version of 'Today In...' -- it's possible it was off earlier but has since been corrected though.

Hi, do you guys plan on regrouping world quest and pvp items' models ? Because this is becoming a nightmare when going through the models in the dressing room. The way the items' version are grouped works for raid items, because they have 4 versions (lfr, normal, heroic, mythic) but for the scaling items in legion, each ilvl has its version, and so, we have tens of the same models listed...

Hey so they are working - but they are very faint. We have some limitations with how we handle glowy effects and that's affecting how the updated tattoos are displayed. This also explains why some of the nightborne hertiage armor parts are white or blocky

Recently on Wowhead we've added search results improvements for key topics. For example when you search for "Allied Races" you now get suggested hand-picked results against a nice backdrop, instead of just the usual 'no results found' with a list of news items 'powerd by google' underneath. The idea is to give you immediately relevant content for important topics in an easier to find format which is easily customizable by us. We love this new search functionality and want to know what other topics YOU think should get this treatment. It's very easy for us to set up, so please share your suggestions (e.g. I'd like to be able to search for "Battle for Azeroth" and see this kind of customized search page!).

I think if there would any option to search on armor of a certain color. I know it's already there in the filters, but i've really got the idea it isn't working properly yet. So maybe if it would be possible to have a filter for brownish, blue, white. I know this would be a major task since it would probably needed to be selected by hand.
What I mean by this is I mostly make transmogs with a certain color type, but I have trouble scrolling through the giant list of items. When adding the filter for example "#FFFFFF" I don't get the results I would like.

Could this function somehow help with sorting out links that result in โlocation unknownโ? For example, I search for an NPC by name, get 7 results, but only two are actually in the game. The other 5 just slow me down from finding what Iโm looking for. The links that are actually relevant could also be sorted for which expansion they are from so you donโt have to click each one to find the one you want.

This might be TOO specific or a poor example, but last week, when the mage tower was up, I was trying to see what characters I wanted to prioritize since my main finally had her main appearance, so I searched "artifact challenge appearances" remembering that there was a guide that collected all of them in one place. The guide was the first hit under Did You Mean, but it seemed a bit silly to me
likewise, I had a hell of a time finding--and actually wound up picking my husband's brain for an answer--how to get into MoP LFRs post-content (i.e. taking my 110 shaman back for the LFR ToT colouration). Maybe adding LFR to the tags for the NPCs that let you queue LFR. I know the official term is Raid Finder, and that would've pulled up the NPC, but I couldn't come up with that keyword and LFR is common community parlance for that difficulty level, as well as being used in certain gear identifying strings

Sometimes we highlight when a certain event goes live on US realms but that's a different feature than what Raider.io provides. The 'world first race' highlights the top people to clear an instance.

that's a separate issue we're looking at, where some terms automatically go to the one matching database page. it's an issue with black temple timewalking and legion raids as well. we're looking into having search highlights override database autoredirects. at least that page has links to the right guides though

That's a known issue that's affecting a lot of people (myself included) and the devs are looking into it.

I checked wowhead earlier this morning and the gold achieve popped for the WINNAR IS YOU toast. Looked and it said it was for the Winter Veil 2017 contest. Seemed to have been earned yesterday afternoon. Checked my email and didn't see an email from wowhead. Hey y'all, when I access wowhead on my phone, it used to let me pull up the tooltip for a thing without going to the page for that thing unless I hit an extra button. As of a week or two ago, though, it pulls up the tooltip and then starts loading the page as well and soon will go through to the page

Violet Hold comes up a lot, but honestly - nobody is running Violet Hold that uses the Wowhead Client. That is why we do not get information about it quickly. We tend to get it by the end of the week. It will be more delayed patch week since realms were down longer
All other parts in today in broken isles are powered by the client as well, but because there are more compelling reasons to clear the content, we get the data much faster, like mythic+ affixes. With Violet Hold removed from m+ though, there's just little demand

doesn't need to be that high but just enough to raise the barrier of opening an account to spam the forums. Most accounts are only hours old usually, if not minutes.
secondly, is there any way to change the layout a bit to add a report button to posts viewing the board itself - perhaps next to the green button that navigates to the last page of each post?
Not everything can be immediately reported on sight, but tossing up a link for a site that sells pills in the thread title is basically an insta-report.
Should expedite the process a little.

@cursive lark We've discussed this before but decided against adding a threshold to post, many users make accounts just to add a reply or make a post after having been a frequent user of the site for years but just never having been compelled to make an account. Plus, when we do giveaways/contests with 'Comment to Win' type mechanisms this would prevent any new users from participating and they'd now have to go get reputation -- definitely not a popular idea and one we've decided against.
A faster way to report spam; while it's a nice idea, I'd really prefer not to have an easy way for people to just click a single button going down the forum to report threads; that just screams "abuse me". Making it a little work helps to reduce that possibility.

There could be a way to get rep fairly quickly as a one-time thing, like by verifying the account via email (it's literally been so long I'm not even sure if that's required anymore). I'd say encourage people to upload (for 25 rep) using the Wowhead Client addon but not everyone wants to install that, even if it is needed for a few contests.
As for abusing the report system, I thought it was made publicly known that tossing out a few spam reports basically deletes a thread instantly, yet when that was brought to light it wasn't abused. It wouldn't be particularly...difficult to abuse it.

It was abused actually, we had to add mechanisms to prevent established accounts from being subjected to spam suppression.
That's more reasonable, but what about the users who make a new account to ask questions in the Feedback forum? Now I'd probably have to ask for a restriction be added to new threads but one that doesn't affect Feedback, but then spammers would probably just focus their attention in there. ๐

Well either that or I get into verbose discussions about topics such as how good the Prevent Cancer charity actually is.
But really though, I do think there's an opportunity to allow for different opinions to meld together better that Reddit simply doesn't allow for.
I think part of the puzzle is making Premium more accessible, not from the pricing side - the pricing is good, but showing all the ways people can farm rep without much effort.
Another part is to encourage insightful posts to actually foster healthy discussion. To that end, it might be interesting to have a system where reputation can be earned for making insightful posts as opposed to spamming. Rep for posts has been frequently suggested I think, but even me, Mr. Spamlord, thinks that's a bit excessive. Instead, if perhaps a few people considered a post insightful then the user earns a small amount of rep as an accolade.
Bit different from the "likes" system like on Facebook - more comparable to the old Honor system in League, or perhaps...upvotes on games like Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm for a performance card.
Not sure how much work that particular suggestion would require though.

Using the dressing room for nightborne on the site, and the 'tattoo' option doesn't seem to be working (on both live and PTR versions). Well, old comments with outdated links aren't necessarily a problem, but if it's just a link to something that no longer exists/works you can report that for mod attention; if it's a fine comment with just a broken link in it, well that's fine to leave unless the entire comment involves the link.

I think it's more of a reload problem. For example, when your character already have pieces "equiped" and you load a set over it, some models (items or the character itself) won't update unless you reload the page.

Delete the +Wowhead_Looter.lua (and +Wowhead_Looter.lua.bak) file in your World of Warcraft/WTF/Account/<Account Name>/SavedVariables folder. Then, go relaunch World of Warcraft. Give it a minute, close it and try to upload again.
@wet field changing your password on the site, and then updating the one in the client to match should work. Also remember the site uses your email to login but the client requires username, not email.

It was an issue at the beginning of the year but was resolved. I haven't had any other reports since it was fixed nor have I experienced it myself. Are you sure you're remembering to check the box to stay logged in?
@rocky acorn I don't think our analytics are that precise. I'm not an expert on it though, but the URL varies based on every little setting in the dressing room: race, class, gender, customizations, etc.

We've discussed this at length and ultimately have decided not to add filters. People far too often forget when they filter things and miss stuff, blaming the site for not covering something and instead finding it elsewhere. Just something we're not willing to risk. The tags make it easier to skip anything you don't want to see or find what you do, and that's as far as we're willing to go at this time.

Correct, the #sweepstakes channel is purged after a giveaway is concluded. I usually wait at least 2 days after everyone has claimed their prizes before clearing it so any stragglers can see who won. Sometimes I don't purge it until a new giveaway is posted but since there's other giveaways happening (shown at the top of the channel) I wanted it to be easier to find; most people aren't going to bother scrolling to the top. ๐
I can't imagine why really but if anyone ever needs a reminder about a recent giveaway winner name or something all of it is logged, can always just ask me via PM.

By zone do you mean realm? Did those characters change their realm? If so you'll want to delete the old ones and re add them with the boxes below 'Load a Character' -- you can delete them in your profile under the 'Profiles' tab.

We've been aware of the post and don't fall under anything that would be a DMCA. We have a lot of custom setups. If we do something new or unfamiliar, we run it by Blizzard first and comply if something has to be taken down for whatever reason like Guldan cinematic.

How the heck do I even use The sound database? No matter what I type in the search bar nothing comes up

@tawdry bone Our sound database is pretty much broken. We're aware of it... but it's a low priority compared to all the other things we need to do but it's something we want to fix/update in the future.

I want some basic things such as audio for when mounting specific mounts, flapping of dragon wings, and passive mount audio. Not sure if it's possible to grab from respective mount pages

I'm unfortunatley not sure how to find those. ๐ฆ If they're not in a Sounds tab on the database pages then you may just need to wait until we can get that part of the site updated.

When logged into the website on a paid sub, not surf if that matters, the tabs under related will not open . When I click on each one they remain highliighted like they are selected. I can get all tabs in this state at once. They function normally when not signed in.
