many were marked as obsolete by blizzard, or the IDs were reused for new quests

#

if you know the old ID, you can navigate to the quest page but it doesn't show up in search results to reduce confusion

This is because the wardrobe tool is for regular live Wowhead and the database still thinks the weapons are from Legion I think

I am stockpiling gear that I can't use because I am unsure whether or not I will have sellers remorse when Legion drops. ok yeah, tehre are definitely items missing, on both of my hunters I have the wolfslayer gun, and it's in my void storage on both, but neither have it on teh site

And that i sjust my Bank....After a carefull inspection...it appears that is teh item was dropped Via quest Completion, it is showing in the Wardrobe, but if purchased or drop acquired in Game it is not showing.

In my bank bags there areseveral items, not just Plate, I have Mail and Leather collected in advance for teh next content and Demon Hunter to come.....so there is a veritable mish mash of items stored in Sissy's bank

Additional Notes: I have had the Wowhead addon for....I have no idea how long, been that long :p .... I logged each toon, opened bags for approximately 5 seconds....then ran off to Garrison Bank...opened Bank for approximately 5 seconds, then opened Void Storage for approximately 5 seconds....then logged out of game. I proceeded to Wowhead and updated ton from profile page...I then went to wardrobe and opened each armor and weapons tab......Armour and weapons in red/highlights are not showing in teh new Wardrobe on Wowhead.

Ok....First verified issue: I do not knwo how long thsi has been gpoing on....I noticed that the desktop client is not starting on boot ( http://www.wowhead.com/client ) had to run in Admin just to get it to run....after a small bit of consideration, I went ahead downloaded and re-installed the Wowhead desktop client...I had 5 Updates....abd I had to run teh update as admin. (Windows 10 64 bit).. I find that it I click x to close teh window, it simply closes teh program, it does not minimize to tray...additionally: The desktop client will not start on boot, after I have set up ellectives in the desktop options. Again; I must run as admin at system start and I must be careful to minimize to bar and not tray or teh program stops. After I updated and got program running, I entered game...opened bags...went to bank opened Void Storage and open Bank, as described in a previous post above....upon exiting teh game, THIS TIME th edesktop client loaded information....I went back to my profile on Wowhead, updated profile, proceeded to Wardrobe, and load Siseihra-Undermine....Wardrobe remain as listed above, Not showing collected Items...I have additionaly noticed that the Wardrobe is not accounting for Heirlooms, acount bound archelology Items and the like.

LOL...I am in a lot of pain, so please no TL;DR.....I have some items that may have similar looks, but these were quest line items collected by alt toons, and not what is listed in Void Storage.

I have updated the Wowhead client, left it open, logged into game...opened bags, opened Void storage and opened Bank....apparently most items and any item outside of Quest rewards is not being listed....

This took a lot longer than anticipated, but that is beta testing for ya....I hope thsi is of some help and what @tawny blade is asking for...if y'all require anything further...please do not hesitate to ask ... love and respect for you folks ❤

Most these folks probably havena clue as to what Beta is realy for.... I would imagine this was intentional. Being Patron doesn't stop 100% of all ads at all times... this is more specific towards Wowhead/WoW, etc.

You'll occasionally see those Lockerdome boxes around as well, they're also exempt from the 'No Ads' feature.

If someone is paying for patron under the impression they're going to get no ads, then they should get no ads or the patron wording should be clarified

The only ads that any reputable website should be displaying are ethical ads, but more often that is a problem with the ad network than with wowhead

Ethical Ads is an initiative started by the creators of Adblock and Google have started following the guidelines in it, meaning google ads that adhere to the Etical Ads "code" won't be blocked by adblock

but there are a number of different types of ads aswell that adblockers won't notice, probably won't be efficted by a patron status because some, although they are adverts, aren't traditional ad blocks on the page, like background banners behind teh content

That being said, we have no way of knowing who has or hasn't already obtained a key outside of our site or been flagged randomly by Blizzard. It's not possible for us to do that so if they choose to enter and win, unfortunately there's nothing that can be done.

Sometimes just clearing DNS cache can help. Open command line and type 'ipconfig /flushdns' (without quotes), and refresh page or restart browser.

Could additionally run ccleaner to clear browser caches, and/or malwarebytes if you suspect malware. But if it's just Wowhead, it's probably not malware-related. (Although I've unfortunately run across a rogue ad on Wowhead before. 🙁 )

Sorry I went out after replying, but Wowhead looks the same as your screenshots when I open it in IE. I doubt MS have much interest in updating it to be compatible with changing web standards, and they even ended support for any version under IE 11. So unless you take the Windows 10 (with Edge!) they are shoving down everyone's throat, I'd also recommend using another browser.

I have W10, and I like it, fwiw. And Edge seems nice, but not for me until they have extension support. I mainly use Chrome with uBlock and Wowhead is buttery for me. I whitelisted them for awhile until one of their ads tried to tell me my computer needed antivirus with infinite popup dialogs. Then I became a patron which made that irrelevant anyway. 😁

I like the idea but I don't think we could justify the time committement for something that has very little need/utility for the site as a whole. Even if it's easy to implement it would be taking a dev away from something else that would likely impact more people in the long run and be more beneficial for the site as a whole.

While this is true (and I'll probably try a year), reporting bad ads helps everyone. I did find the feedback form (upper right when you're logged in) which has a bad advertisement option, so I reported it through there.

Are there plans to fix item searching (class filtering, spec filtering, and stat weighting) some time soon? Its around the time where I want to make gear lists but doing so without wowhead item search is incredibly tedious

can give examples if needed but last time I asked I was told it was on the todo list

hey I saw a tweet today saying the Wardrobe feature on the site is updated for pre-patch, but I can't get it to load any items at all - my toons are listed but when I view them, nothing is collected. Is there anything I have to do different to the instructions, which I have followed step by step?

actually I think I have figured it out, it's working unless my toon has a non-ASCII character in its name

Various issues with special characters have been noted but haven't been a high priority at present due to beta/legion. I'm fairly sure a ticket exists though.

it is menat to show your completed projects. this requires your character to be verified on wowhead and data uploaded via the client

The Battle.net login is more meant to allow access to the API to sync character data and stuff to the Wowhead account, IIRC.

Having it as a login option seems a little counterintuitive then, imo. It implies no registration required like with most sites allowing you to use twitter/google/facebook to login without site registration.

Our site needs registration for you to utilize our forums and comment on our database, etc. It's just meant to allow for one-click login (after initial setup) and, as Interest mentioned, easier access to WoW toons.

I know this is a far stretch for an answer. I am having some problems with the Outfit feature on wowhead. For some reason whenever I save an outfit, either the class wont be the right one, or pieces will be missing that are shown in the screenshot. Does anyone know how to fix this?

outfits is one of the features we get the fewest bugs about and there's 24k submissions so it's limited to a handful of items if anything
