toxicity exists yes,and it is caused by both sides,but it is fostered and it thrives because of the game design that pushes people to be toxic to each other rather than working together,
a really quick example is the fact that when someone leaves a key,or a key fails,the only person punished is the keyholder,not the person leaving,
so it pushed the keyholder to be interested in selecting only the best people for their party, which snowballs into elitism and all that other stuff

That is one thign I do like about EA ~ I've never had a bad experience with their customer service (not even blizzard) but I always felt like when I talked to EA reps, I didnt feel like i was just a check to them. I know that they just want my money, but it never felt like that to me.
