I suggest you to look at super sentai : that's the original version from which Power Rangers take and edit the footage.

It's, obviously, Japanese, and some seasons can be sweet to watch. Although, I would recommend Kamen Rider and Garo if you want darker themes. Warning, some are very dark in their themes and aesthetics.
