Yeah ff is pretty dps focused even healers can do a lot of damage so if the tank can top himself up they can focus on that.
I've see a lot of healers waiting till the tank goes down to 15% to heal. And if the trash dies they don't top you up because out of combat nat regen is bonkers.
Takes some time to get used to it. But it's fone they watch your hp. And all of them have instant cast heals.
