Nah you can get a fever from any vacination. After all, you do get an alien substance injected directly into you. In case of vacination, a small weakend bit of the thing you want to have more imunity from. The body will detect it and fight it, making anti bodies. The raised temprature and sickness are symptons of the body fighting it. A star in it went nova yesterday, it is 5000 light years away so we're seeing the starlight that came off of it 5000 years ago 🙂
It's going to be extremely bright - almost as bright as the moon, so it should be easily visible if the weather doesn't mess you over..
Not visible during the day to us - is visible to those in the southern hemisphere though - look up and you might be able to see it in broad daylight

For context - the sun has a magnitude of -26.74, Venus has a magnitude 9; -4.6 and Polaris, the North Star, has a magnitude of 2.0
