so i used to play wow a few months back, i was a brand new player, i managed to get to about level 30 but, i played on my own with no friends. I ended up quitting because i did not understand all of the different expansions and which ones i should be playing and questing in and which ones i shouldn't and really what i was supposed to mainly be doing in general, i kinda just ran around aimlessly doing quests and thought that was the main idea, and got sick of it. On your very very FIRST character you should do BfA until 50, chromie time is only for 1-50

On any other characters you'll get a choice of which expansion you want to do

one thing I have heard of new players that drove them out of BfA was flying - at level 30 they learned it and realised it won't work in BfA but anywhere else - so they start roaming around and get lost

I think it would make sense to lock flying to unlocking Chromie Time
