It's the same energy as:
Choosing a covenant based on what's best is akin to choosing a race based on what is best. You can do that. But you might end up not enjoying your time. Fun translates into DPS and better playing too and if you dislike your new home zone and lose motivation to improve and do stuff based on choosing the covenant that is an arbitrary best, then you made a wrong decision.
