Like you have covenants with their abilities that are spec specific, so lets say you pick venthyr because you're a ele shaman and like the ability, but the ability sucks for resto shamans as venthyr and so you're cucked into only playing ele shaman if you want to be venthyr, then let's say you want to swap to another covenant to try out that ability cause it looks kinda cool and you wanna mess around with it, you basically lose all progress you made with venthyr and have to reprog that all over again if you wanna switch back

I don't think I'd drop 3 months of progress on the covenant I enjoyed simply because someone used a flashy ability, no. If we're using your example. If I DID want that ability, then yes, I'd have either looked at the covenants when offered and went "huh cool" and chose necro.

If I wanted to switch covenants then I could, easily. It'd mean playing the game again. Comparison to the GC's in XIV, simply means levelling them up again to get the outfits I'd want.

@timber crag excuse me,"how good the armor is" in FF14? when literally 90% of all the healer sets are just "white robe with different embroidery" and all ranged dps armor is just 90% jackets (all of this excluding job gear which is especially tailored),to talk about how caster gear is just the exact perfect same as the healer gear,but blue or purple or black, and the tank gear is just "plate armor 3000", i like the game,but if you are going to say that the armor is better,i'd heavily prefer you specified if you were talking about "casual gear" like jumpers or shirts because the game's got a lot of those and they are good quality,but if we're talking "diversity and design creativity" of fantasy armor,i dont even have to try that hard to disprove your point,just look at any mythic set from wow,boom,the top in flashyness ff14 is some pure white gear that has neon strips at the ends of the dress,it's either so overdesigned into "why would anyone not carve their eyes out upon seeing this" to "it's just jacket 3000 dude wtf"
