I'm kind of 50/50 on this. Simply because it was written in the rules that any political matter was forbidden and I can understand that, however the message from Blizzard in Weibo isn't exactly "neutral" on it, it's basically saying god bless our country. At first I was sure Blizzard was behind all this just for the market but maybe it's not just that, I can understand from a economic point of view that some censor will equal more money for them, which is still bad on itself but I'm not sure all this unwanted attention was what the aimed at in exchange. I'm 95% sure if the people from Blizzard at China didn't say anything of the sort, the government would not stand still with them and probably would arrest or something the employees, which ofc is not in the employee's interest to do that. For the employees there it doesn't mean losing their jobs, which is bad, it also means being linked to Pro-HK movements, so ofc they'd try and clean their names to their families and such aren't executed or worse.

Well, no. I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be anything as overt as arresting blizzard employees over the company not punishing someone on their streams or not giving a certain release on their chinese social media.

What does happen in these cases is usually that certain sources (for example some media outlets close to the CCP) will make a big fuzz about it and indirectly/directly call on the chinese populace to boycott stuff etc.

Also, companies that don't toe the line may face additional hardships (like not getting their products greenlighted, getting fewer days to release their movies, stuff like that)
