Linhardt's entire schtick in his supports with Byleth is he won't kill so I can't exactly spec him as a half white-half black mage for both roles

The one thing I would knock is range-spec units being able to shoot through walls

#

It's actually big dumb

#

I can shave off literally half the guided time of the mission by instead of moving to the boss

#

Just hugging a wall with Bernadetta and dealing lethal or 2/3rds damage with Deadeye and then skipping turn and doing the same thing again, cause bosses don't move until you officially engage them or they can counterattack

#

The one time it didn't work was with enemies that can counterattack, basically just take the damage and reflect it back

In which case you just use gambit which is unreflectable from closer range to do damage, then have Bern oneshot it

The two most powerful units now are probably Byleth due to insane base damage and ridiculous crit procs, and Bernadetta cause she never crits but her range is abusable

#

Like, Byleth can attack from 2 squares forward due to whip sword

#

Casters get 3 squares each way with exceptions

#

Healers can heal low over like 15 squares, heal high over 3

#

Bernadetta can use Deadeye to deal lethal damage to anything except large enemies at 7

#

Plus her and Seteth (who's a flier so ignores terrain) are good at depleting monster healthbars so even then it's a matter of time

#

like for context there was just the great battle to ||defend the monastery from Edelgard's army|| and I had to defeat the two commanders either side, a guy who due to reflectors would oneshot anyone who didn't kill him, and on the other side ||Hubert one of the traitors||

#

I sent 5 units including Byleth to sort the reflector and it needed that many

#

Bernadetta oneshot not only ||Hubert|| but then beat a monster (3 health bars and superarmor) over the next 3 turns
