WoW will always be in a state of shit. That's just how the game is. Even when it was considered great, WotLK and MoP, even Legion, we complained that it's state was stale and pretty shit and that they needed to change.

Diablo 3 unfortunately just has the same issue D2 had, just no more support for new content but at least it's getting unique seasons like the Season of Grandeur
which in all honesty
made the game pretty fun and exciting for a few weeks.
HOTS hasn't really gotten worse. Overwatch grew stale because they just can't balance it out.
Hearthstone they're trying to fix it at least for the future in mind with nerfing classic cards.
