The guy who gave the fake address either pulled something out of the air (random number + street combination that happened to be a real address, 101 Oak Street, that the shooting victim lived at)
Or he went to Google Maps and picked a random address, in which case he fully well knew someone lives at 101 Oak Street and would, in the best-case scenario, be confused as all hell when SWAT team descended on his house (or got home to find SWAT team), with a good chance of getting wrongfully arrested and/or injured

yeah, the real problem is that regular police in the US are given SWAT equipment without training. so when the situation reaches that point, they act as they imagine the situation requires which they think means shoot first. SWAT teams should require training in all sttates, it should be a federal decision, not a state decision

But cows have to be put in barns during the winter in cold climates, because they can't forage under snow or find drinking water. Bison, on the other hand, eat snow and can dig under it to find grass

Cattle are not native to America, and anytime you have a non-native species, it generally requires extra money and resources to raise.
In Australia, it would be better for the environment and probably economy to ranch kangaroos instead of cattle. And so on.

(Ferrets are absolute carnivores like cats, too. They don't do well even on kibles)

Those links Inay posted to people's blogs were really informative, I didn't know that stuff about gluconeogenesis
But basically, dogs and cats have very short intestines in relation to their body size, and so they have no choice but to eat meat since that's more efficient. Plant-based food takes longer to digest, and it literally will not have enough time in their system to be fully broken down.

And I like pandas as much as the next gal, but I get salty that so much attention is given to them because they're ""cute"" and a lot of other endangered animals get ignored.
