Apparently the red cheeks are also a gene thing that may or may not get lost.
So I think full greys can actually appear in the wild, they might just be as rare as an albino.
I wish I could whistle, I've never been able to. As for taking him on walks, I clip off most of my birds wings as part of training. Only one of my parakeets is allowed to keep their wings since she trained the best.
My male parakeet is a rebel and likes to go try and find shiny things while the cockatiel is just new.

I've heard that as well but in my experience, it's based around how you keep them. If you do it you need to make sure there's not much in the house to scare them.
