- What's a good multi-monitor software for having two desktops on two monitors (since apparently Windows 10 doesn't have this functionality)?
- On extended desktop, is there any way to make a soft "barrier" that keeps the mouse from moving to the extended desktop when say, I just want to move my mouse to the top right to close something? (Apparently, this is called cursor drift, and I found an answer after some Google Fu)

If you're a pro, you can make it pretty automatic. If not, you will waste a lot of time doing manual CSS for each (most common) resolution

yes @steady fossil, all the PWO games (Star Trek Online, Lord of teh Rings Online, etc) and a few other companies do a "life time sub" option, it's usually about $400 or two years worth of sub
I did it on STO like I mentioned and even now, three years after it would have run out, I still get the monthly subscription user bonuses

It paid for itself and has paid for several xpacks since then, because when it converted to Free to Play founders got special status and a monthly currency stipend. Which I have used to buy every expansion they released post Moria.
However I still think it's not a great way to handle things
When LOTRO went free to play it got a huge injection of much needed cash flow from various sources, and I think the lack of recurring sub fees from those of us who'd paid up front really injured them
It's kind of like how I imagine if I won the 20 million dollar lottery it'd be more fiscally responsible for me to take the monthly payments. You can't blow 15 million dollars at once in stupid ways then

I just remember we shelled out quite a bit at first, it was me and my husband's first like... 'ground floor' MMO together. And we'd only just gotten together that year, weren't even married yet. I basically flew out to see him in April and then we stayed up all night so we could save our character names on live. XD
Actually the funny thing is that we realised we were in love because of LOTRO. We alpha tested together and wrote elaborate back stories for all of our RP characters, spent hours just sitting around RPing together, and every single one of them ended up falling in love in some way or another.

jumping back though, I think people expect slightly different things from a MMO. I'd certainly argue there's some critical flaws inherent to most that could be addressed.
