#Inform players earlier about seasons.

The last week to 2 weeks of gens feels like a ffa. That might be the point but it seems very scammy to try and get new players to purchase sunbits to purchase tools they dont know they will only have for a week or so.
So Id like to suggest making it a lot clearer that there are seasons. (maybe along side it advertise how its competitive so its good to reset stuff)
Adding on to this maybe change or add a leaderboard of level top to be levels gained that week. Just something that might make new players try harder.

Thanks for reading (:

Resets have a 1 week notice as far as I know

#

Some players would already know when Gens will reset

Yeah but not a lot of new players even know about resets. Not the timer itself is needed, just more clarity on it being seasons based..?

From my experience (since season 7), seasons can end earlier or later than usual, so it's not consistently always 6 weeks

#

So a timer is probable

How/where would you like to see seasons advertised? Not a bad idea but a lot of suggestions like this, people come up with the idea but no realistic way to implement it, so what are your thoughts?

Also weekly levels is just not a good idea. Due to the nature of inflation, higher level players will be punished with large amounts of xp required per level, while a new player can take advantage of the abundance of tokens in the economy to level up their tools and overall level very quickly. So someone could go from level 80k -> 85k playing 3 times as much as a new player who could go from 1 -> 9k that week. Just not a very fair system

That second point is almost the exact reason I think adding an extra leaderboard matters, joining anywhere past week 1 pretty much excludes you from leaderboards so I just dont see the incentive for new players joining this close to season end to stay?

#

Also I would suggest putting more emphasis on the fact its seasonal, like in the main lobby or in the gens spawn, Like a "Season 22" or something.

#

Im seeing so many new people getting practically scammed this week in to buying things they DONT KNOW wont last.

i feel like you're a little out of touch with how everything works again. Its good to see you so active all the time but realistically you dont play so its hard to make informed decisions

Oh I never suggested top level should be reset weekly, definitely not. I just think there should be a separate category for levels gained weekly. At the moment joining mid season doesnt have any incentive to stay imo.

#

But my main point and main suggestion is to better inform people of the fact seasons exist.

which might encourage people to try im thinking. I feel like a lot of people join, then leave knowing what they do in the last week doesn't matter, even long term players, just thinking this could be an incentive to actually play at the seasons end

fair, but that makes u stack in somewhat of a paradox: who u value more?
new players that joined late or the same old players who keep getting payouts because they grinded for that from the start of the ssn.
if u want to make it easier to new players to get payouts it means u make it harder for the 'long term' players best u'll get is 'mid-term' players who play for 3 ssns at most... +more overall players
if u don't do anything u keep losing new-players but u keep players who play the 'long-term' +u keep players like peter, auns, 54, lukas and swoosh who play for 5-10+ ssns...

I feel that's a bit counter productive to growth.

I do like how this server supports the long term community though.

That's why it's in suggestions. If it's against what they're going for then thats fine too.
