Currently you receive 20 pet xp for salvaging a common egg, and 100 pet xp for an alien egg. I dont believe 5 common eggs are equivalent in value to 1 alien egg
Im guessing these values were taken from s19 crates where we had pet candies and from memory the equivalent of a legendary pet egg in todays season is worth 100xp, maybe have a look at rebalancing the values
