For support I’m an Invis main- used to mostly be Luna, but I’m on console so my aim can be iffy even at the best of times. Tank wise, I usually go Emma or Mag! Presently trying to learn White Fox and Gambit, and maaaaybe a bit of Angela.

I also like going Peni whenever I’m given the chance

I can perform pretty decent on a Jeff or a Rocket or a Cloak and Dagger if needed but it’s not my strong suit

I’m personally into superheroes a good bit, though I’m not nearly as big of a comics reader as I’d like, (they’re so expensive!!) so I’m not the most experienced in the world when it comes to all the lore. I did start playing for the characters and the franchise, though! It’s my first hero shooter, and also my first multiplayer pvp game as well.

I enjoy both too! Nobody here is super diehard for one or the other as far as I’m aware

same for me! I seriously did not expect to enjoy the game LOL, I mostly played because Jeff looked funny and my friend wanted me to play quick match with him 😭 I've had a lot of fun though!

And as a support main, you definitely fit in here - afaik the vast majority of us are support mains, or flex players that play a couple supports lol. Personally I'm definitely a support main, but started playing more tank a few seasons ago to diversify a little - the introduction of Gambit made it suddenly a LOT harder to get to play support but luckily Magneto was fantastic that season and was a lot of fun to learn!

omg 😭 yeah at that point it's pretty obviously a deflection from their own mistakes, which unfortunately happens a lot (especially with dps). for the first part, absolutely yeah exactly! not something I ever really expect but always nice, especially when it's a game where I did really feel like I was playing well and making a significant impact

I don't mean this as an insult HELP but you just have to be able to hit shots at close range, Spiderman is really squishy and will have to run away if you hit a good shot or two. Staying directly in front of supports can help because they can heal and help take him down, without needing to respond to a ping or turn around or anything. Also, just watch out for the webs hitting you- except with the really high elo combos, they're always going to lead with a web tracer and then probably a dash in towards you. The tracer tells you they're present and maybe where, and the line from the dash tells you exactly where they are and where they'll hit you

Jeff is really good against dive, but you really do have to just skill diff the dive lol, he's a lot less forgiving than something like a Dagger bubble. You also have to be really careful not to be too selfish, most Jeff players I see will just bubble and swim away but that sacrifices your other support which isn't okay. It frustrates me sometimes because Jeff is SO good at keeping both supports up into heavy dive if you don't play selfish lol

In general on a backline dps, I would highly recommend sticking right ahead of the supports. Just easier to help you, and you won't be too far forward unless the supports have pushed super far. ymmv, playing with a Rocket and Loki is very different from playing with a Gambit and Fox- it's more of a general tip than a magic bullet for every comp and situation

Invis in a 2 support comp who spent the entire game very poorly diving our backline, got one kill against a SG who stood motionless for about 3-5 seconds while being killed (and never managed to get another kill on them, btw), kept just hanging out behind us invisible looking for an opportunity or something? 😭 and then at one point dove Chery (on Luna), started losing the 1v1 immediately, SOLO ULTED in our backline, KEPT LOSING, RAN AWAY, and then died to Chery and our Strange (walking back from spawn, iirc)

I don’t think I’d include Iron Man for starters- he’s a flying character, and those are both harder to pilot and play against. He also at least has multiple types of attack that take different forms of aim- his primary takes aim, but his beam mode takes tracking and those are different skills. He’s definitely not the hardest character in the game but he’s harder than Squirrel Girl at a base, I’d say.

Thing- I don’t play him enough to know, depends on if we count friction to pilot as being the same as skill? I’ve seen so many new Thing players get stuck during his charge against the wall, it doesn’t feel intuitive or easy to pilot. Learning how to play around friction in a kit or things that feel weird could be counted as skill or experience- I’d go either way on that one I think.

Jeff I’m not fully sure about, his kit changes made it so you have to heavily pay attention to angles to do much with him I think, and his ult requires thought to use as well, albeit a little less now with the healing pool. He has a far higher skill ceiling at least.
