Whenever I try start up the game i get a 'known driver issue' popup with an option to update my drivers and I click 'okay' it brings me to the lenovo drivers update page and It says all my drivers are up to date. and when I press cancel the game crashes anyways.

From this page you should be able to download "Intel® 6th-10th Gen Processor Graphics - Windows*"
which corresponds to version "31.0.101.2115"
which is above recommended version
your driver for your GPU is outdated causing the issue
