I know the feeling... that one save I have where everything is symmetrical really stressed me out 😂 sooo I let the lines ve straight and then added chaos in between it all 😆

i tried to be sneaky a little bit by putting the woodsheds and the excav shed symmetrical bahahaha

i also took inspiration from your storage house video, i wanna put fences around it and put decoration later, hence why it looks so empty around it for now

A little symmetry is okay 😂 sometimes my buildings end up straight, then I can plant poppies up against them 😍 I just like the randomness of old medieval towns, so I don't aim for straight lines 😊

Oh right yeah i wanted to ask. I also want to plant poppies but i don't want the npcs to harvest them, if i build low fences around it, will the npcs still harvest them??

And yeah i try my best to be as random as the medieval peasants but my goodness my symmetrical brain is suffering ahahahaha

They will, but why do you not want them to harvest the poppies? They do not harvest them until autumn, so the flowers stay all summer 😊

As terrible as they are at finding the right way (omg the detours they take) fences will not keep them from doing their job. They will just teleport there or stand on the other side of the fence. I have had NPCs harvest poppies through a wall in the storage 🤣

Same! Summer is by far my favourite season because of the poppies 😊

And also kinda wish we could plant herbs on plots too

Imagine plots of colorful flowers. It'd look so pretty

I would love that! I am planting sooo many berry bushes and flowery shrubs everywhere, and while I absolutely love the planters, I would really like the natural look of the herbs growing straight from the ground 😊 and I would definitely not go overboard with them at all, I would use a completely reasonable amount 😇

I'm expanding the island a bit and I'm planning to beautify the abandoned structure to, kinda hard cause the area around it is locked/restricted

Maybe I'll just fence it up a bit

I was thinking of building up a road to it or around it then fence it up

Make it look less of a ruin and more of an unfinished structure or something

That is a great way to see it. You can help it along a bit with some dropped items. Leaving a hammer and some planks will make it look more like someone is still working on fixing up the place
