#Buildable Flat Surface

I've searched some relative terms to see if this was already posted, but it didn't show anything. (or I just suck at searching 😅 ) One sort of similar post would be the pier/dock that allows you to build on it. I do apologize ahead of time if there an existing post. I tried.

I would love to see a buildable surface to help flatten or level some spaces that are a bit uneven and hard to build on. This would not be a tool, but rather considered a building. You would be able build anything on/around it that you would normally be able to on a nice flat grassy surface such as: crops, orchards, houses, decoration, fencing...etc.)
I'm not sure how to mitigate its sizing, or if it would be similar to how fields are built. It could require clay and straw to build up in sections, like walls. Fencing could be done around the perimeter so you wouldn't even be able to tell there's a giant dirt pad there. Pathways/stairs take care of access.

In the end, it's just something I would like to see.

I’d say more so natural, and it would be large enough to fit houses on it, not use preexisting building foundations such as resource storage or houses as the base. Like a big dirt foundation that would help level out a wider area. Have the same place/size options as a field/orchard. 😊 So maybe a dirt platform? 🤔 Best way I think I can describe it. I’m going to try to find an image that best describes what I’m horribly trying to 😬🫠
I would also love the idea to place items in the home or on platforms. Gonna have to like that one, thought I did 😅

No, I’d say it’d be more so like a dirt platform you build in sections. Like how one does with fields. Could be a 1x1, could be a 10x10. It just looks like elevated dirt that one could build on. Height and direction would be the only adjustment for it. It would not change the ground it sits on in any way other than getting rid of spawns, like buildings do so now. It would go hand in hand with the placing items on platforms, as it would be considered one itself. Be ideally similar to placing a 10x10 platform, which we also can’t do, but would equally love.

I see where the notion of terraforming comes from. I’m picturing it better in my mind than how I’m describing it. I am sorry 😞 I guess maybe picture a stone house foundation but adjustable size options. Looks like dirt and can be built on. 🫠 I need more ☕️

Gonna be following this. Although I was wanting terraforming until I read the above comment on how it's not possible with the engine used, but something that would allow us to build in places not usually allowed would be nice. I cried when I couldn't put a house down next to that small waterfall near the south end of the lake on the south of the Valley map. Granted, building a village around that lake at all does not seem possible and that's sad. It's the prettiest of the lakes on the Valley map.
