Please give the opportunity to cancel skinning animation when another wolf is attacking you.

Hello and you can cancel skinning animation while you are alone with right click, but for any reason you can't doing if another animal is attacking you, which mostly result into a death. Please can you allow us to cancel the skinning animation with right click ? thank you a lot

I wouldn't mind an auto cancel when attacked, though

I have also been killed, by a wolf usually, when in the middle of skinning. It happened to me just yesterday even. I play on PC and couldn't figure out how to cancel it if there is a way.

As crazy said, just an auto cut off would be ideal, Interrupt on damage or something, I see no other reason to cancel anyway, and there is little space on a controller as is

Are you sure you did not just haooen to hit ESC towards the end of the animation, or that you might just be crazy and making it up in your head?

I do am Crazy, inside and outside my head, but I've played MD over 2500 hours and I've been bitten by wolves too many times to count

I decided to take the bites for science too, on xbox B is not cancel, I just kept getting eaten, other buttons failed to do anything, and B is cancel for the production crafts

If this is already a feature, and just isn't mapped to the controller, is this an easy fix? If so I hope it's implemented.

Just realised I could have tried to cancel without the wolf attacking me 😭

Upon further testing, LT (left trigger) is cancel on Xbox, I think right click is block? and left trigger is block, so it does kinda make sense, but with B being cancel for everything else it's a little counter intuitive.
