I thought about the fact that maybe if i have way to much food and i don´t care about money and i would rather want rot because now the kings challenge is here where i need alot of manure, fertilizer and for some reason rot, that i could put food into the same container as manure/fertilizer (e.g. compost bin) and it rots maybe double as fast.
However this way of thinking could be applied to other item combinations aswell that i don´t have in my head currently.

Just dump it to the ground - it will be rot after one (?) season.
If they didn't change it with the last update, putting food into the compost bin should be no problem (did it 100% with mushrooms some time ago).

Also thanks, i kinda thought that when i drop stuff and it changes from food to rot it would dissapear for some reason.

In the compost bin? Yes.
In MD everything you drop, lies there until judgement day 😄
The only "difficulty" with food is: When you'll get to decorating your village, you might want dropped food to not turn into rot. If that's the case: there is a setting in your game options, you can check, so that dropped food doesn't rot any more.

How long it takes, to rot on the ground, I don't know for sure (because my game is set to "not rot" and I use the compost bin instead), but I think it was only 1 or (at the most) 2 seasons.
And kings are sometimes... peculiar. Perhaps it was a bet with some of his nobles, if those pesky peasants could get this done.
