1, Meat values- a quick comparision of meat values recieved from any kill is woffle at best, you get 3-10 units of meat per kill which doesn't even fill you up once after roasted.
Kilograms would be best
This should be across the board with animals, each animal should produce a certain between certain values of meat

Deer - IRL 1 deer would feed an entire village for 2weeks to a month and thats with a village up to 100 people.
Each deer can produce 100-300kg of meat give or take depending on animal age gender and size.
In-game you recieve 3-10 pieces of meat which once roasted doesn't even feed you.
So hunting and crafting high value soups is becoming an extremely tedious, beyond tedious even

Boar IRL can produce 50-200 kg of meat
A single boar can feed a village for a week easily of up to 100 villages IRL

Bison IRL can produce 300-800KG of meat
I'm yet to kill one so I don't know the true value, however I know it's out of whack especially given the risks involved in hunting them.
I know experienced players could say oh their easy do it this way.
That's another topic, however I think their brilliantly accurate for aggression I've lost my life and restarted 3x over because of a bison and I love that fact, I think it's brilliant

This goes without saying, this is a game, I just think the balance is way out, and the measurement of pounds would probably be more fitting however this comes to a developer decision, I would like to see both lb's and kgs making units of measurement a choice to what your use too, this can be done using simple conversion rates]

i think this could work... although you would need to adjust the usage of food per person but i think you have something here and would like to see how they would make it work

Please note a "thumbs down" from me @flat slate (because I can't vote, because the OP blocked me.) Thanks 🙂

On the other side, animals aren't growing to adult size in 3 months 🙂
Also, on standard settings 1 day = 1 month of game time.

i reckon each farm animal should produce more meat, but the majority of the meat gets taken in tax, leaving you with less overall, also hunted kills should be kept track of once you have villagers (other than your family) and likewise an additional silver tax levied based on how many of those were deer, boar and wisent vs. how many were wolves
also wolf and bear are barely edible irl, but that's another topic
which would make fish the primary protein source - let's at least go for realism if we're going to mess with the difficulty, eh?
