Hello, I'm MILO. Making music with me can be hard at first, so you can borrow my copy of the manual. It might be out of date at times because I'm always getting better. Also, I'm brand new so I probably have bugs, don't do exactly what you want, so I'm sorry if I mess up a bit. I just want you to have fun, and I'm going to try my best to help you have fun.

Right now you can't directly share songs, or import into Suno. That's okay, you can download my data to your computer, and then upload into Suno. I know that's a bit wonky, but I'm a bit shy and making connections with Suno can be hard for me at times. I know I'll do it someday, and I'll make you proud.

I'm happy to learn about what you like, and what you wish I could do.

Unfortunately, there are thousands of buttons, knobs, and dials, so I think this would be very challenging for blind users in my current form factor.

Curious, have you used any similar multi-channel, multi-step sequencers, with a screen reader? I can't imagine being able to process & adjust that much info in realtime, when it's such an integral component for the user and/or the tool.(when it's running)
Along those lines, how easy is it for you to work with the Suno "Sample" function? i.e., trimming a waveform visually.

You'd need to upload into suno first, and then search for it by clicking on clip. That's pretty wonky, and it would feel better to upload directly into MILO (which would also end up in your Suno library too). I'll think about this...

The reverse of uploads should be available to everyone which is export which takes the song you made in MILO-1080 and uploads it directly into your workspace. Then you can do fun stuff like covers, extensions, load into studio, etc.

I'm planning on making samples easier to use, and I'll probably make some nice little sample packs that people can use which will help them make cool beats and synth sounds. There's a lot you can do, but that also means there's a lot for people to learn.

Typing away instead of making beats got me thinking: it's better to be able to type a little, but then get a lot. I wanna do less typin', and more music makin'!

Samples are also going to work much better very soon. Starting with being able to upload from MILO, instead of uploading into library, and then going back to MILO, and I'm already tired thinking about all these steps.

You'll only see the active region when selecting the part of the song to be the sample. You'll be able to click on the track and see the part of sample assigned to the track. How I'd use this is I'd create a single song in a DAW that contains your bass drum, snare, hihat, etc as one song. Then carve that up within MILO into multiple samples. You'll be able to save and reload your samples in other songs, and you can pick and choose the samples you want to use in your current song.

I had a play with Milo more over the weekend, very fun. I enjoyed making unhinged little loops to add to Suno as audio to use with "sample" to make the songs a little more 'different'.

I've got some amazing resources at the ready for you, first is the Koala Sampler. It's got info on the page explaining where it came from, there's gotta be some useful insight in there for you to be inspired by. Have You Heard of the MPC pad? Milo 1080 could have a function that records as you hold down a number while a song plays. Crucial features for a gem like this is to be able to loop the sections and when done looping, it continues with the song where it would be rather than where it was. If that makes sense. There's the FPC pad in FL studio's which is a highly customizable sampler. Personally, the reason I come to create with Suno is ability to get something done. Working from silence is daunting. There's also an app called eDJing mix which has a simple yet amazing feature called Beat Grid, similar to Gross Beat within FL. Beat Grid is missing more variations. Snapping to grid is a huge part of sampling, so when clipping, the visibility of the grid, and ability to adjust if it's 1/8, 1/4, 1/1 snap is super helpful. The functions of an MPC pad, made easy. This milo 1080 is literally a full blown playhead within a DAW, it's incredible and you've done an astounding job. Let me get those links I just mentioned.

Maybe we should also include How to sample and Why we feel short snippets of songs so much more intenselt than the rest of the song. I've gotten lost many times in the sampling process, just to fizzle out and just save what I've got. But with live "performance" style of ability, it's so smooth to be able to clip, loop and record a live little performance. I have many examples. One is from suno's legacy editor. this is not a self promo. This is how I Was trying to sample with the legacy editor.

I'm really proud of this little clip thing, even if it's literally not even a song. It was the very first time i had heard something so high quality, and so unique, so I dove in. You can make songs, make weird sounds, make beats, make a zen rock garden, draw, do math. You know the normal stuff you'd do on Suno. A lot of people seem to like making weird beats, importing them into Suno, and then doing mash ups with them.

Well, if you start with MILO-1080, the most complex thing you can do on Suno, you'll find everything else very easy in comparison, and you'll be awesome at everything!

If you can manage to click 1,000s of buttons in MILO to generate a song you like, clicking 1 button to create a song in the rest of Suno will be very straight forward. 🙂

Okay, big update droppin' real soon (I just click the deploy button). Instead of gettin' a generate sound thing, and having to just guess what you want, you can now search for sounds it will try to figure out the best way to get you to that sound. Will it work 100% of the time? No. Will it be better than having to type out a whole bunch of words every time you want a funky drum sound? I think so. You'll be able to see the prompt it picks and if you go, "naw Jack, that cat don't swing," you'll be able to change it any which way, same as before. You can also not use search at all. Cool by me.

Sample pack revamp also heading out the door. You'll be able upload directly from within MILO. Create, load, edit samples within the sample lab, and then assign those out to tracks. You can click on the scissor icon to adjust those samples. The ability TO sample is something different, but that'll get built soon enough.

That's supposed to be integrated into studio, or Milo 1080, with the idea that as you're listening to a track, u can tap a pad at the beginning of where u wanna sample, and it will automatically loop a sample up to 8 bars long. Perfectly for life performance style playback. I'm going to post this one other place too, to see if it can be slipped into studio, or a version of it

You can use clip and search your library, and then use scissors to trim that clip down if you don't want to generate sounds. Is that what you mean?

When creating 3 samples from one clip, do you notice any difficulties? For Instance, trying to clip the first section, second and then a third section in time I was struggling last night maybe u have a tip

You're taking an upload and you're able to carve it up into pieces. You could use the whole clip, but imagine you have a clip that has kick, snare, hihat, etc. You can create multiple samples out of a single upload, that way you don't need to upload a bunch of different files.

You might also have a song in suno, and you can carve that up too, using the same approach

I would love it if u tried out my samples playlist to see if u find anything u like. There's lots of beautiful vocal samples. And neat basses. And yea milo that's ideal, I was snipping up some last night but as I got to sample 3, the lines were snapping to each other, causing the end of one to be moved in the process. Probably my own user error. Maybe a locked state would be neat. Like when working with another sample, the previous is rigid and locked until selected again from the bank being created below. You know what I mean?

hmn, is there counterplay against dad heat? I tried traveling home (or to starting region at least) when caught, and being caught without any music or high cash on hand. I tried staying low profile by not doing much trading and the heat doesn't seem to rise any slower. I guess it's just a random timer?
