Just becausse the song is in public domain, doesn't mean each rendition is. You could always see if there's a free-use redition of it. I wanted to do something with Mozart before, but I had to go through great lengths to find a rendition that was actually free to use.

The lyrics, and recording were both public domain. That isn't my main concern. My concern is that the AI hallucinated actual copyrighted lyrics from the audio after I distorted them. I fear this bug might cause potential legal issues for Suno if it repeats.

To clarify, it allowed the distorted upload, and in the lyrics section it had lyrics from a different song. Out of curiosity I covered the song as is without putting in any prompts and it gave me a cover of the song very similar to Randy Travis' version

Watch the screen for any pop ups, usually it's either a legal issue with the audio or lyrics. It's annoying because it'll tell you why it was rejected but the message only appears for a second or two

Try just describing the instruments in your style, and only Metal once. Then try and build your lyric page a little. Also try to avoid using negatives. Like No, Not and words like Only, Just. Those words barely hold any meaning for Suno.

I'm happy with my Suno endeavours. 20% of people who listened to one of my tracks liked it, can't complain there. I just released an album on youtube and elsewhere, internet radio, and got like no feedback at all lol.

It depends on where your songs get shared. I usually dont trend and just share my songs here, so the usual view/like ratio is from 3:1 to 10:1 . When you start to post your songs outside of here or accidentally get on the frontpage with the botting users this ratio melts away fast!

it took me over a year to build the small following i have today here on suno. my songs usually get about 30 likes or so after 2 days just by organic listens. thats super fine for me. ... could be more, sure, but the cool thing about not shoving your stuff into peoples faces constantly is : they are not annoeyed when clicking your stuff.
