We were stuck in Las Vegas, we'd spent almost all our money to get to this funeral, and then all remaining funds went to fixing the flight situation, and then we're stuck for 19 hours in the most expensive city I've ever been in but we made the best of it and it was something we can now laugh at. Thankfully me and my mom are hilarious together so we can make the best of any situation.

My biggest takeaway is that I think Las Vegas is probably a layer of hell and I don't ever want to go back it was positively surreal.

Without careful prompting, v3.5 can sometimes sound "Generic", or "same-y" (but still very good!)

I start with v3 to create a very pleasing start, then often use v3.5 to "add structure" to the idea.

Lyrics aside for a quick second, focusing on the underlying instrumentals;

v3.5 needs a strong musical "hook" or enough context to reasonably continue from or it's likely to "improvise instrumentally" to try to adapt whatever you've given it into something cohesive (and may still fail at doing so occasionally).

You're not going to always get 100% same musical structure from extensions, but if v3.5 hooks onto your pattern, you're much more likely to have cohesive continuation, especially during early segments of the extension. If it starts to go "off the rails" near the end, it didn't have a strong enough grasp on the underlying motifs or structure. Generally speaking, if you have a punk d-beat on the drums with enough structure, v3.5 will continue the d-beat and "riff on it" in a similar style, and wouldn't be likely to swap into a synth style bass thump.

That being said, v3 is more versatile and broad (as the model drop down suggests) and is less respective of the existing structure (while still respecting it enough to follow afterward, but can get a bit more wild and experimental)

Just to give you an idea of how it is.

Since then I've made actual show prompts, I have a Cheech and Chong in Spaaaaaaaaaaace (in Star Trek) and one that is based on Ripley's Believe it or Not, one based on Anime, one based on k-dramas.

The idea is you pick a show prompter, say Chronicles, which is like a History channel show.

But it is different than discord and if you're used to the codes and things in discord it can take a bit to get used to

I think that was the one where I pulled out the “distancing the readers” line myself

There wasn't a big window to do that though, it was quickly shifted to forced-3.5 extension
