Ehhh, limiting based on paid/free plans doesn't really make a difference in the curation of questions being asked, unless it's intended to serve as an "official tech support" section. Just basing my experience on other discords that have tried to balance an open-doors policy with alleviating spam or low-effort posts, but unless Suno makes steps to filter out low-quality posts, it's only a matter of time before goodwill of the active volunteering community is tapped.

I know it's not your responsibility to handle it, I just figure as the current "housekeeper" I figure it's feedback best left in your careful hands to redirect, deliver, or toss as you please 🙂

As an example, another server I'm a member of allows you to view certain forums, but you're not allowed to make a post until you've activated a specific linked-role. There's other forums that require another step, like validating your account with Steam or another service. These serve as a basic & moderate filter intended to preserve the integrity of their sections, as the low-effort posts that would have made it onto there (if the users weren't entirely deterred by having to read to figure out how to do so) are now directed to the open "general" sections where every post inevitably gets drowned out by everyone else who can't be bothered to read each other's posts 😛

Just because you're asking for feedback, I find the font to be an odd choice-- it's very stylized, but not very readable, and takes away from a professional image. My guess as to why they haven't done this is likely lack of stems to train from in the first place, combined with time and compute power required to train on the stems and generate from the stems. It's easier to start simple and then improve from there, rather than to aim big at first and potentially get nowhere.

Also the devs that work on the website aren't the same ones that work on the AI so any website changes aren't delaying anything being done on the AI side.

I don't expect to see stems for a while, and at first they are likely to be post-processed (e.g. like using UVR) when that feature arrives.

They'd need to ensure the training data was of high enough quality (I mean, people complain about the quality as it is at the moment but it could always be made worse! 😄 ) plus I have no idea about what music they actually train on but there's likely risks associated with allowing users to contribute toward the training data.

And - that's a point - Udio is a lot newer than Suno and also doesn't offer stems. If it were easy I expect they would've done this from the start.

it will come out of nowhere since the music industry has that already as far of i know it from hearings, also the noise in the vocals comes from unclean vocal samples the training is based on, how i understood it on reddit, so the main issue is to start the training with clean audio anyway

Although there's barely any technical information on how Suno works, I would probably not rely on Reddit posts for this. There's "noise" present even with instrumentals, so this isn't isolated to just vocals. The noise is annoying and I hope it gets addressed in the next model. I don't think there's a timeline specifically for when it'll be made available for free users, but if it's something that you're really interested in trying, it's $10 for a single month-- maybe you can think of some instances of disposable income you could reduce to make that $10 available in your current budget (make a sandwich at home instead of going out for lunch, pause another subscription service for a month and use Suno in it's place, etc)

I'm not shilling for them, but I genuinely believe it's one of the most exciting products that I've ever had the chance to play with, and even if the basic paid subscription didn't come with a big handful of extra credits that you'd get from just waiting & using the daily allowance, you can go hog-wild and spend all of the credits in a single day if you're so inclined.

Last night I dreamed I was watching a movie. In it, someone was calling a another person on a cell phone. The guy on the other end was being cruel and intentionally allowing the phone to ring for a very long time before he would answer it. As it was ringing, I was thinking, man, this is getting really annoying. I began counting the rings, wondering if maybe there would be 40 (the movie was named 14 Going on 40). I lost interest in counting after 14 or so and focused on finding some doughnuts. And the ringtone was a really familiar one, like one I'd heard on my own phone. I wondered whether the neighbors upstairs would think my alarm was going off.

After two minutes, I woke up and discovered my alarm really was going off on my phone that was right next to my pillow.
