But when it comes to quality, look how crips Udio is.

However from the teaser clip it sounds like instead of using words to prompt to use sounds. It's still random. Udio feature actually continues off my tempo and other musical strucure. Hi, the monthly subscription are supposed to reset every month and unspent monthly credits don't care over. While Extra Credits (the 500) don't expire.

Ah, no, not directly yet. The sound input/sample that is currently in testing with alpha testers might be able to do it but will likely get distorted. That feature will likely be in for subscription members in v4 (just assuming here).

So I know i haven't made anything public here, i have around 8000 gens on this thing. it's awesome, but there's some limitations, and at a certain point it becomes diminishing returns to try to get something out of the AI that you could just manually play so much easier. With Audio upload, it makes sense to make a work flow back and forth

Remember when RunwayML released an unsanitized version of SD, and StabilityAI was ticked off, leading them to release a "tidy" SD2? People hated it because in sanitizing the datasets, they obliterated the understanding of human anatomy in the weights, resulting in weird images (at the tradeoff of being more commercially friendly because people couldn't simply type in "naked woman" and see boobs.)

SD3 is that to the Nth degree.

Look up the trending memes for "woman laying on grass SD3" and you'll see for yourself. Now, that's just me dropping SD3 medium + clip directly into my standard comfy workflow, with zero considerations made for VAEs, etc, but I get decent results with SDXL & SD1.5 models using the same setup.

So either I need to 1) use a more complex workflow and really understand the requirements for properly running SD3, 2) wait until a more "user-friendly" checkpoint based on sd3 comes out, or 3) accept that there's a reason the majority of work is still based on the original sd1.5

Mind you, the amount of touchup required to make that a "studio-quality" piece is minimal, so I feel like a snob nitpicking to that degree, but there's always tradeoffs to be considered. It might not blow everyone away, but the fact that it's starting to be able to handle lettering & hands better makes me optimistic. It's hard to compare the "generative quality" in an objective manner, but you can more clearly compare how it handles the worst aspects.

Trying to even get a simple 4 letter word from Dall-e 2 was an absolute crapshoot, where dall-e 3 and other recent models are capable of spitting out fully formed text-based memes with only a few typos or basic kerning issues that you might not even notice if you looked at the text quick enough.

Upload an audio clip from Udio into Suno and you'll get punchier percussion and it'll add it's own composition/structure whilst trying to match any vocals (though the quality will be the same as a regular Suno song.)

Upload a Suno song into Udio and it may widen the mix a bit and improve the vocals. Depends on prompts and settings though.

In both cases you can end up with it doing a 1:1 repeat of whatever you uploaded but spiced up with whatever special sauce that service provides.

^ I would advise against it. You are knowingly violating copyright, unless you had permission, which can land you in legal trouble (iirc, US court can charge you like up to 120k per violation for copyright infringement)

It's not simply a bad word filter. Lyrics get sent through ChatGPT which can sort of understand the context, and are blocked based on whether that finds the lyrics "bad". Sometimes a single word can trigger it and simply misspelling some of the words you think might be causing it will prevent the block.

Typically the advice for this kind of thing is to ask ChatGPT to tell you what might be unacceptable with the lyrics (and paste them into it)

Covered in the FAQ (Suno's Help page).

The free plan songs can be posted the songs on free social media (e.g. YouTube) but you must credit Suno (e.g. "Made using Suno.com v3.5" or variants as simple as "Made with Suno" in the description). You cannot monetize it either.

Only songs generated during the subscription plan can be commercialized.

The issue is finding a distributor that allows you to do that. Many reject AI songs, especially those music that obviously sounds like AI.

If you were not aware, Spotify upped the requirements needed to get their monetization requirement back in April.

I am aware, just emphasizing about the monetization pool requirement since it was implemented back in April... and people not looking into distributors and getting rejected by companies like TuneCore (which pops up a lot here) though there were a few that did mention DistroKid did reject their obvious AI songs iirc
