The voice sound quality is better with Udio, but the delivery to me always feels really flat. I admit I have at least an order of magnitude less time working with Udio versus Suno, but I can really wind up the Suno singer and get some emotional delivery, while the Udio one feels like it just sits in a dispassionate sarcasm groove, LOL.

yes, Extend works.
you may need to use a timestamp earlier than where you hear the problem. If the song has begun a fadeout, it will continue that and end... It might be a weird volume drop that the extend is hearing.

You can also hit 'edit' at the bottom of your finished video post. In the web editor you can regenerate individual clips and/or retype the prompt for the clip. It does use up one of your 3 per 3 hours though so doing another whole 1 minute and editing in other software may be better.

and at one point it generated something that, for the first time, gave me a little crisis like "dammit... that's good enough to just use..."

I look down on people who use AI lyrics, but when I tried it myself I found that I was quite comfortable using them as rubber ducks or rhyming dictionaries. They're so bad that I'm never tempted to just use what they give me

oh yes that will be a difficult style change. I always do 2 extends for these kind of switches. One to get 2-4 seconds of melody so it has something but not anything else so it switches but keeps a tiny bit of melody and then do a merge and continue a few seconds after the switched genre so it incorporates some of the old stuff
