Something I've noticed is the AI is awesome for the first 2 minutes, but as soon as you go to expand, it lacks greats and degrades the more expand and seems to have trouble keeping that same energy as the first song in the later ones and a decent finish. I've spent 200 credits already for one song just trying to get a decent finish, it's that bad.

We should be able to modify or respawn our icons. Sometimes the first song generated has the perfect one, then I do an instrumental and it comes up with the bird with an instrument which has nothing to do with the song.

Remember when you extend it only takes into account the song part you are extending from. Let's say you generate a 2 minute track, and then extend for another 30 seconds (part 2)... when you go to extend a third time, it will only use the 30 seconds from the second part as reference. It will be like that first 2 minute never happened. So whenever you are doing a multipart extension, always use the 'Get whole song' feature first, and THEN extend. That way it will use the entire track to generate the next section.

Often it does, but it's not guaranteed. I usually add things like "outro" to the style prompt as well to try to reinforce it. Otherwise the AI can end up just starting a new song or continuing regardless.

When I extend a song and I go for like part 3-4-5, the chorus tends to change over and over. And by the part 5, the chorus is completely different from the chorus I had in part 1.

Apologies I'm probably late to the party. I have subscribed to Suno and have been playing with Udio. They are both great but Suno wins at this time for me. Being free has never been a driver for me. Yes Udio can create some good stuff, the audio quality is better at 320K, where Suno is 192K (Correct me if I'm wrong). I feel Udio can do older stylers and the fact I've seen comedy is impressive. But when it comes to chord progressions and melodic music which is what I'm after Suno is hitting the mark.

I have three main suggestions that I would like Suno to consider and implement: 1) lossless output, 2) custom models, and 3) control of structure.

1) Lossless Output

• Options should include WAV, AIFF, and FLAC. Lossless output is needed because some paid subscribers want to officially publish and distribute their songs, for example, via DistroKid or CD Baby. Lossless output is required to make this happen.
• In addition to the entire song being available to download in lossless format, the option should exist to output the separate tracks comprising the song in lossless. This would allow paid subscribers to have their songs remixed before mastering and publication. It would also be beneficial for removing unwanted sounds such as a random snare (Wait, where did that come from?).

2) Custom Models

• There should be an option to create a custom model based on a set of parameters (e.g., age, gender, pitch, tone, etc.) so the same voice can be used for different songs. That would allow paid subscribers to create a unique voice and unique songs. Such an option would provide more flexibility and novelty.
• Also, if a paid subscriber can create a good song, they may be more inclined to try and create more songs that, with the original, form a cohesive, creative work (i.e., an album). If the output of this scenario is indeed creative (novel and useful), it could also drive customer engagement (i.e., the listeners). It's easy to see how this could establish a feedback loop beneficial for all stakeholders.

3) Control of Structure

• More control over the overall structure of songs is needed. Say you have written a verse and a hook, then generate variations of the chorus and maybe the verse. You hear one that you definitely like. You want the second verse to sound similar to the first verse and the chorus to sound the same for the first two choruses before the bridge. You also want a double chorus with variation at the end. There should be a way to prompt the AI concerning these aspects of the song's structure rather than just generating additional verses and choruses with your fingers crossed and hoping it all works out. Or, hoping the song's segments can be separately downloaded and strung together like Acid Loops in a digital audio workstation.
• Users should be able to have more control over the micro-structure of songs, too. Apart from making the results of the use of the current set of metatags more predictable, users should be able to alter the characteristics of the voice output at specific points. For example, in Vegas Pro, you can manipulate the nuance of voice output in the text-to-speech feature by modifying the underlying markup in SSML—this is where such a feature would come in. It could also provide novelty for beginners.

– have a "condensed view" of the library, so if I've generated 6 songs with the same title they're collapsed into one expandable section, so it's easier to skim for previous songs I was working on. (I'm generally making 10-20 variations of a song to get it exactly right)

One of the biggest pitfalls I've seen so far is the inability of using (and more importantly, reusing) seeds. Sometimes a style is really good, but small changes are needed. Without a DAW, it's impossible to get the style again without extending it.

If you grant paid plan users the right to their song, the ToS are contradicting this, as @viscid cloak correctly states. In fact, you support that others use a user's IP ("you own the song" = as far as legally possible also the IP) without indication.

Easy fix 1: don't allow extension of other people's creations, unless they allow it
Easy fix 2 (less protection but supporting the community idea): mark the source of the original song going forward as some sort of watermark in the title or description

Suno Sessions: A new tab under create that allows the user to enter a "Session". Individual sessions indicate to the Suno AI that the user is working on the same song, rather than trying to generate something completely new each time.

Inside the session, there could be a "bias" tool (maybe call it "Vibes"). This "bias" tool could be something simple with a slider that could be layed out like so:
"Ice" > "Cold" > "Getting Colder" > "Warm" > "Getting Warmer" > "Fire"

In this context, "Ice" would indicate to the AI to no longer arrange that song the same way. "Fire" would indicate that it should do its best to not change that song hardly at all on subsequent generations.

The purpose of this would be to give the Suno AI quick feedback to direct its generations in a more productive way for subsequent generations of the same song.

If this worked out okay, then expanding the tool to give the user the ability to select individual sections of the song to indicate specific portions that are working or not working with the same bias tool.

(3) a better way to select instruments and singers (say you have a male and female part setting a meta for each would be a big help in areas where you need to switch back and forth, as I have noticed the meta does not always work and a lot of times the voice just goes completely computerized sounding)
(4) Changing lyric in an already generated song without having to regenerate.( I have had times where I have made typo's but had really liked what was generated minus the typo. and some words do not come out right such as beard which I found out will pronounce it right using it spelled like beerd, as well as a lot of words that sound the same or are spelled the same but pronounced different)

My recent major album release was delayed and blocked, with the digital music distribution platform citing the reason as: Releases made with Suno are not eligible for distribution because Suno has not released their training data, and it is likely that it is infringing on the copyright of those artists. Even though my previously uploaded albums passed the review, it seems that digital streaming platforms have intensified their scrutiny of AI-generated content and their attention to copyright issues. If Suno does not make their training data public, I fear that any songs generated using Suno might not be publishable on digital streaming platforms in the future. i am using the instrumental-only generation in order to guarantee a musical introduction to tracks, and then cutting it at 10-20 seconds. i've seen a lot of people say they're doing the same. would love if you would add a 'generate intro' option (possibly at a lesser cost) to do specifically this while then being able to continue with the current initial 2 minute generation after it. hurts to have to spend the initial 2 minute generation just to guarantee a banger 10 seconds of instrumental intro haha

It would allow users to upload an MP3/WAV file to use as a reference track. Number 1 comment so far (3k credits in) is that I really have trouble resolving a lot of metal and electronic songs. I've only used V3, but it seems to like getting stuck with these high pitched, ear screeching overtones and harmonics. I end up needing to do five or six extension attempts before it gives me something usable.

I don't know why but it really seems to like locking into that, and it kinda just starts running away at some point, almost like feedback from a guitar amp. Sometimes it's so bad, that even when I get the instruments to drop out and come back, it's still got that screeching sound, almost as if it's an effect being layered over top everything else. It can be a real pain tossing 100 additional credits at a song just to get a 30 second outro that doesn't sound like a field of harpies 😅

Literally my only major gripe so far. I love this AI so much. Thank you to all of the devs and everyone else on the team 🙏

This song is a good example of what I'm talking about where it was tolerable. I intentionally played with it, sorta in the vien of Tenacios Ds "one note song" Other songs have examples as well though.

2. Black list: If you don't like music or person or genre, add to blacklist, then you can't find there music, person and genre forever, and if you add to blacklist user, they can't find your anything.
   I think those features should limit for number of items you add each by subscription users or free users.

Ex: Subscription users can add up to 100 each, and Free users can add up to 10. If a Subscription user switches to Free after add 100 items, only the first 10 items added will be valid.

I would like to receive credit back if a subscribing user permanently deletes a song from the trash can. Currently, I imagine that most users who subscribe use up their credits on the same day and end up purchasing more. This is far from perfect for Suno, and I think it's necessary unless Suno upgrades so that creating songs doesn't consume as many credits. (Of course, I think the price to buy credits is cheap compared to the number of songs we create...)

• when you are not in custom mode and enter a song description, Suno will change the description for the generations. For example when prompted "vibey trap summertime" it will change it to "trap melodic uptempo"

• ability to add lyrics over an instrumental. essentially "inpaint lyrics/vocals"

• after adding lyrics over instrumental, I want to tell suno to either stick really closely to the generated instrumental (dont change beat) or give it flexibility to change beat a bit based on lyrics. Kinda like a chaos slider in MJ...maybe?

• ability to get variations on individual stems from a genrated instrumental. i.e. generate a trap beat, keep everything the same but get variations on the bass line.

• ability to add new stems/instruments to instrumentals. i.e. strat with a drum and bass line, add in a piano, add in strings, add in brass, etc.

• i want to be able to scroll in create to all previous songs (right now it wont let me scroll past ~25 tracks, which is annoying)

• i want to be bale to follow profiles making cool songs

• generate something other than birds for the images of the songs. like a gradient, but there are too many birds. When making a track public, would becool to be able to upload your own image

• explore section, have the ability to turn on instrumental mode (only explore instrumentals, no lyrics) and also a way to 1-click make a song in this style that brings you straight ot create

With the image generators, you something called a 'seed'. This is the final id for the redering that is created. this SEED can then be used as an INPUT for your next creation.
Would be nice if this can be possible too? Current song, that you liked, you will build on that for your next generation of song. So you dont start from 'scratch', but with some solid input for the next generation.

PLEASE, make way to mark characters which need to be accented. I have little to none succes with my language because in 90% the accentuation is on wrong letter. Tried what not, no success. It seems everything matters is to suck my credits ... When I try to do a song the credits burns faster than SighterJet it's fuel with afterburner ...

Stop the thing with blocking artist names... Udio doesn't block artist names and this allows for a huge variation in what "synthwave" can sound like, for example. It seems, as I said, like Suno only know one style of synthwave.

In real life, people copy off each other all the time. Ideas bounce around. If the ones being sued would be the customers, I don't see why Suno should block us from getting artist feelings into our generations.

I see SUNO another rabbit hole for milking money. It is created as many online games to addict person to hook it in, than never really deliver satisfaction. I was thrilled using free plan, it gave me reasonable satisfaction. YES, a guy shown me his channel with songs in HINDI language which sounds great. But are they are accurate? I asked? Who cares, I'm American and can't speak HINDI. It sounds good. BAM! I was playing with SUNO since DECEMBER 2023!! I'm sick of it already. I spend time with SUNO almost EVERY day since December 24th on free plan ... My rage built since paying the plan. Because I realised it is money milking stuff in fact. SUNO in V3 refuse to make instrumental intro. At the same time it gives best results if song is made in one go, with lyrics that can finish under 2 minutes. V2 works MUCH MUCH MUCH better and more predictable and extensions are almost perfect. But V3 had better sound. I rate myself as expert not rookie. It seems than most are happy because they are not real musicians and don't care for the issues. My last song was using all sorts of extensions maybe 8 seconds long, parts, bits, all sorts of "cheat codes" in lyrics ... I also split songs into STEMS to improve quality of vocals and finish song in DAW with real software. In the end ... it is good for getting IDEA, than using real software, scores, keyboard and make music properly. I see stupid loosing weeks for getting one mediocre outcome. In the era of AI where I CAN sing as male and turn my voice into Whitney Houston 🙂

SUGGESTION: make Library consistent, so newest songs will be bottom as with Create (or both top, or user selectable). Than give also "disliked" button, so I can weed out all 100's of disliked song at once. Than make possible to group songs that belong together and make some way (extension be in "indentation" from main song, so it would be visual where it fits).

I made some great songs with free and paid ... until I work in English or do not care how it is pronouciated. Also, for my kids to learn better I made few uplifting songs ... great, funny, quick. But to put them on Youtube they MUST be decent. If the BANANA is called BANANA, then it sucks. If the SUNO took 20 renderings to actually sing "BANANA is great yellow fruit" instead of "ANANA is ..." or " BANA is ... " or " NANA is great ..." I wonder if Suno could use a different generation model to allow for more flexibility. I'm basing my ideas on Ace Studio AI. I'll start by saying I'm not an expert in music theory, just a programmer very passionate about making music. Ace Studio will allow users to write the lyrics and their corresponding musical notes (?) and sing them. You can later change some word or some part of the melody easily without changing everything. What if Suno actually generated the musical notes and then sang them (so two steps generation)? This would ensure Suno actually understands every part of the generated song and can easily allow us to change any part of the lyrics or melody. I will only assume that currently everything is generated at once, so the bot will vocalize the words, will create the melody, the instrumentals etc as part of the same generation and in the end everything is mixed up and Suno doesn't understand very well afterwards what it generated.

extensions tend to be picky about the exact cutoff, you can generate crappy extensions at the same cutoff forever, this has to do with tempo i guess. I usually pray and spray gen +/- seconds, however sometimes the desired cutoff is within a second and you are stuck because it doesn't allow higher precision

That's true. In most cases true, high-quality audio stems would be better. MIDI would be useful if you just want to get chords/harmonies/melodies/sequences. I'd find it useful for reconstructing parts at higher quality using different synths. But, I don't see MIDI export being feasible until separate stems are available (as pitch detection on individual stems might work.) By that point, MIDI would probably a lot less useful if you can just use the stem.

That's the thing - it'd really need to be able to figure out which instrument is which in order to separate them onto different tracks. Then the most it'd be able to would be to try to pick the closest MIDI instrument for each part. When I'm manually converting my stuff to MIDI by-ear there's very often just non-descript backing sounds that are hard to pin down, or instruments that are hidden behind the vocals so it's impossible to work out what notes should be there.

I know this has been mentioned before, but I want to drive it home. It would be REALLY helpful if there were some kind of feedback as to why specifically a prompt was rejected.

No swear words, absolutely as PG-13 as I can make it, and I've tried swapping out just about every word I can and it still keeps getting rejected and flagged for moderation. Like, I can't even guess as to what it's getting blocked for. I've also had a song that was totally fine in the past, just suddenly stop accpeting the exact same prompt I started with, so I was REALLY struggling to finish that one.

I understand there need to be protections in place to prevent the creation of obscene material and copyright infringement, but the current controls are overzealous, especially since they don't even tell you how to fix it. If they at least give some indication as to how to fix to prompt, this level of automated moderation would be okay. As is, it seriously degrades the customer experiance.

It would be really nice to see either a moderation appeal system, where we can get blocked prompt manually accepted, or have a lot more feedback as to how to fix prompt that seem to be getting blocked for no reason

Because of the missing stems separator in suno i have just tried today to remove the vocals using a DAW. The results is à very poor quality instrumental part because high frequencies have been filtered out from the audio when removing the vocals.

Thats definitely a lyric / syllables issue. If you change your lyrics to have a similar syllable, even if it changes verse to chorus to hook ect, you can have shifts and such in the song and it wont completely ruin it, since as long as the syllables count is good you should be abe to sing it even with a beat change. As far as I'm aware the entire song has to have been created with an account with an active subscription. All songs have an inaudible watermark in them that Suno (the company) can detect. This might identify it as having been created/extended on free account or paid subscription.

Where to start? First of all, suno needs better melodies that are more consistent. You can’t write a song without a melody. You have to start with the melody and go from there. It seems that suno is just throwing vocals and instruments together without a map for the melody which doesn’t work. Also, if there ever is a good melody, it needs to be consistent throughout and not wrong. I’ve wasted so much money on song takes that are horrible.

Support for bass singers would be very nice, especially in acapella-type music, but others as well. Currently it is nigh-impossible to get bass singers. Go try it before telling me to try something. Trust me, I've tried a lot. The only thing that (barely) came close was mentioning the specific key it should be in. Even then, it forced in tenors and sopranos when I requested a solo. It seems to be intentionally avoiding making music with bass singers, especially solos, even with instruments.

I often find myself giving the thumbs up to music that sounds good, but doesn't follow the genre conventions I specified. I worry this may be problematic for training the model. So, I propose the addition of some kind of mechanism to indicate whether I (or any user liking their own track) liked a track because it followed my instructions, or despite it not following my instructions. A notes field, or even an additional toggle to say "I am I liking this because it sounds good despite it not following my instructions." would address this. Thanks. Again, loving the Suno service.

1. Replace the library with projects. First part of a song would start a project. Deleting the project would delete all of its parts. Easy to rename, make public, etc. Open the project to do extensions or whatever other changes become possible in future.

2. Show the open project in a DAW arrangement fashion, with a timeline and blocks representing the parts. Where there's more than one extension, show it like it's on a different "track". Highlight the parts used for the most recent extension. Allow the user to explore the other "branches" that result from their other extensions. Might be difficult to keep this kind of thing visually compact.

3. Selecting a part could then show its waveform, which could aid potential future features such as inpainting, trimming, and basic editing tools (cut/paste) along with finer control over the "continue" time.

There's probably a few things that would be awkward with this: Phone displays would probably be too small for this to be useful, and if it becomes possible to extend backwards I'm not sure how that would fit into the display in point 2.

Maybe this is useful, maybe not. Just throwing it out there.
(Also sorry to the person above for dropping a wall of text after your suggestion! - I agree, pagination and highlighting chained parts in "Create" would be good.)

I wish they added somekind of "signs" for the AI to either pause or continue the song. Sometimes when generating the song with lyrics, the AI sings it wrong where a part of chorus got into the verse or vice versa, even if you put the [Chorus] sign above the chorus. Other case, sometimes before the verse ended, like in 3rd line of verse, the AI stopped singing. Or when the line isnt finished the AI paused.
For this, i wish Suno got a symbols usage as signs for pause and stop. Examples like using coma for short pause between lines, and period as a stop for moving to next verse.

Pros:

• seems to follow the description well, even as far as the descriptions between [ and ]

• banger instrumentals for the most part

• does well with blending genres

• Great with foreign language (not english)

• extending is better than v2

• REAL good with its root genre during the chirp era. Rap, hip hop and rock

Cons:

• the ai tends to add way too much to instrumentals making it sound messy at times.

• Extending loses quality over time

• no way to guide the ai with what you want exactly.

• vocals sound washed out, robotic, and low quality unless its rap or hiphop.

• over time the song would get more janky sounding.

you can try starting with just an instrumental track (put the switch on "Instrumental") with "dangdut" (or whatever exactly you want) in the genre box. Then you can cut at say 10 seconds, when the genre is apparent, and use non-Indonesian words.

I have now a Subscription and pay them monthly, so i do own the songs now i make, but there are 19 Specific songs i have made when still being a free user and i really like them. To be honest i actually love them, they are bloddy amazing. I did also write the Lyrics for those specific songs and i know i own the lyrics still, but i just want the rights to those specific 19 Songs as well to be able to use them with stuff. I am willing to pay for the rights for those 19 Pieces but i cant do anything when the people from Suno ai dont even reply. I just want my songs. Not like there are not millions of songs made out there every day or week, so 19 specific songs should not even be a problem in the least in my oppinion, and again, i am willing to pay for the rights, even 10$ per song if i have to. I would like to suggest some more application ideas for people who have some musical knowledge such as: selection of parts where to apply major/minor modes, more specifications on the type of voice that is used when adding lyrics and perhaps some commands to enter at will within from the letter part

1. Better vocals

2. Different methods to earn free credit (This should include free users as well. That’s messed up that only premium users get to renew theirs daily.)

3. SEARCH function on the website (It’s really lacking one. How else are we going to FIND OTHER USERS (And their songs) more easily besides what’s trending?)

4. Better mixes for songs. For example: When I want to create a trap-metal song, (I’ve created quite a few already) you should be hearing a balance of both. I don’t. I hear more metal than anything in the final product but that doesn’t mean the trap sound is absent. I hear it faintly.

Don’t get me wrong either, I’m loving Suno a lot. These are just pet peeves of mine.

Suggestion: The videos seem to have arough idea of where the lyrics should be positioned to be visible in the frame of the video, could the same featured be used when listening songs to highlight the lyrics of a song, similar to karaoke, on the right side of the playback during song creation. Here's a suggestion. Make it so someone can search for specific songs they have found earlier or have been suggested to them by others. I can't tell you how frustrating when I find a song that I like but forget to like it or add it to a playlist for later. By the time I come back to that song, I can't find it anymore.

Generate sections separetely. Intro, outro, pre-chorus, Chorus, break etc. Than provide a way to stitch them together in any order. Than we have the possibility to make an arrangement of any length.
