You're making a valid point, and I get where you're coming from. The bigger issue right now, especially with something like Suno, is that there are no clear standards or reliable methods that consistently produce good results. It’s hard to say what the “right” approach even is, because the tool doesn’t behave predictably enough yet.

We’re all experimenting in the dark, trying different prompts or techniques, but the system isn’t mature enough to reward skill over luck. Until someone shows a repeatable method that works across genres and prompt styles — like you said — it’s tough to take any one approach too seriously.

So it's obvious that everyone is trying their way.

For example, there is no good guide about [morph] or [fusion] right now.

Yes. Each person is affected differently. I also have a couple of songs from 20 years ago with Tunecore and despite some issues , im just fine with using Tunecore for certain things, and Distrokid for others and any other distributors. Find the niche and grooves and learn to work with them.

I didn't mentioned that I use that for lyrics. I just said I have an idea what the song should be about, write my own text uploaded in chatgpt and tell them, that he should fix parts, since IM not the best in creating rhyme I asked ChatGPT to help me out here.

I usually using chatpgt also for style prompting and sync it with the lyrics part, so the instruction helps each other.

Since there are some rules, I don't want to take every step so I tell him what I want, gave him some hints how he should use specific Styles and what they do and so on. He uses of them, which he means it fits best and so I work with it, mostly changing a lot anyway. But it's awesome for a good structor at least for me

Everything doing from scratch is dumb, when we have the technique to make things easier =) For it, it's important, that I know what GPT is doing and if he does some mistakes I will correct them. It's a good synergy imo

It's already hard enough with all this noize and artifacts, and now with newest parts of a track it makes it more and more messy.

Ive been trying to add guitar solos to my songs but it keeps generating song lyrics even though I have the prompt set up to only be for a solo. What Im doing is going into the editor, adding a section where a solo makes sense, and then I have a style set up for only the solo but when Suno generates the music its just redoing the whole song and ignores my prompt. Theres no lyrics in that section but it keeps putting my lyrics from the other parts of the song in there anyways. I try regenerating and its just eating up my credits! every once in a while it actually does what I ask but even then its not following what I write in the prompt space. Im going to have to stop using this platform if it cant even generate what its supposed to generate. Ive been able to generate some solos but it takes up way too many credits, a lot more than it should. its just a waste. is this an issue with generating heavy metal in general or am I doing something wrong here?

I usually preffer to generate a whole totally new, while fixing is usually not worth. But very sad when something small needed to be fixed. And regaring credits, to be fair it could be 1 point per minute, or kind of not charging for a whole song if you need just 2 seconds to fix (and mosly bu generation mistakes)...

Regarding solo part, I would add it in a prompt as [guitar solo] or something like that, and not rely on fixing and assembly from parts, do it in one step...

Its just not generating the solos and even when it does, theyre short no matter what I put in the prompt space.

Ive had occasional success but it takes countless tries before it actually comes out with anything decent if at all.

It ignores the parts in the lyric prompt where I want breaks betwen verses, it ignores where I want solos and places them randomly if ever. It will make a solo but then put lyrics over it, which makes it not a solo anymore. It will make a breakdown instead of a solo.

It might be better to just generate instrumentals and then do the vocals myself and edit on Mixcraft afterwards. Which would be fine if it would actually generate longer songs instead of a standard 3-4 minutes every time. Even the extend only adds 30s- 1m30s at best. Its just not worth the wasted time more than the actual credits. Im better off just doing it all myself and just use Suno for samples to add to Mixcraft.

Appreciation for v4.5's Influence sliders. I can finally fix lyrics on my older songs with a Cover and not have Suno have a stroke on it.

Currently finding the influence percentage where it starts having a stroke... then I can get it close to the original. Currently noting that lyric strokes start to happen past 24 percent, but I have gotten a mostly clean run as high as 35 percent. I don't know what v4's influence percent was.

Lyric stroke: You change one word, and when it gets to that word it makes incoherent gargle blargle instead of either the old or new lyrics.

There's been a couple of time where I lose out on a good beat I want to use because of the gibberish vocals. This is something I really hope the suno team fixes in the future.

The gibberish is the nature of the generative AI - I"m afraid there won't be a fix to fully get rid of it.
Depends on your workflow but if you just need the beat or the instrumental track, use Stem to split the vocal to drop it and only use the instrumental track. Like @tribal remnant suggested.

Try to do a full crop, that would create a new identical song copy, then load that copy into the editor again. Usually would work.

That sounds like more and different issues rather than just simply the editor didn't recognize the song structure sections.
You can try what you feel it might help. If one fails, use the next tool...

From my experience, the lyrics have to drop down the next line below the bracketed segment label (verse, chorus, interlude, etc..) and at least one line space between last line and the next segment .

Did you have that and Suno lump them altogether?

If needed, you can click the Align Lyrics and manually correct them all and save file (or i think once corrected we can go to the other, Legacy or Edit UI and it will update.) Otherwise, we may need to save new song and bring back up into either editor.

Recently, both editors will double to quadruple lines, switch a few around and such. So we have to check the lyrics almost every time we do a new edit.

If the song's length is significantly different from the source song, there is a high chance there will be misaligned melody and vocals, or the song will have a seizure moment and overlap/repeat lyrics from a different section spontaneously

The focus, again, was to describe how we may get the coloured and separated segments to show up in the Editor UI by having the lyrics follow directly under the bracketed segment labels. Suno typically will NOT separate and colour code based on rounded brackets. I purposely just tossed them in. But my bad if they misdirected the focus of my point.

The rest -- regarding singing and any other function Suno may do is some extra good points to know.

Even though this is formatted to get the coloured segmented parts, Is the Editi UI then culminating (grouping ) your parts back into one big stanza (paragraph)?

The format is only divided as [Pre Chorus] and [Chorus]. So you get your two colour's. We see the other bracket labels, [Fade Out] and [End] are hidden in the same grouping of lines as the [Chorus].

When this happens to me, which it does sometimes.... well... often... I click align lyrics in the Edit part of the Edit UI, and manually re-arrange my labels and lyrics that Suno will correctly show the colour's segments. Then click save (or the appropriate save button.) You're doing it right. Its just seems once in Edit UI, they might be all lumped together.

It may be better to indicate [introduction] before the first lyrics. You can combine [instrumental] with this but at minimum, use [intro] or [introduction].

Suno recognizes these segments and changes its chord progressions often to coincide with the feeling and nuances associated with words like intro, verse, pre-chorus, build, outro.

[Instrumental] works better when there is lyrical work before and after [instrumental] so Suno knows better to exclude any singing part. [Interlude] works good as well in these spots.

Also, depending on you're taste, I've had luck to "cheat" and adding a Mmmm or ohhh or Oooo or yeaaaaa as a first line, before or after, or even without, [introduction] and we get a vocal expression of an introductory mmmmm or ahhhhh that is common in hiphop, kpop, and other pop style genres among others. It gives an extra 5-10 seconds or so of non-worded "intro" vocalizing. Even in genres like metal , rock and death metal, this could get us a growl or yell and add a bit to the intro before singing starts.

You're going for a more shape-note, folk and pop styles? Those more commonly don't have verbrato as much as others.

Its a roll of the dice, but jazz can either be non-verbrato or over the top melodramatic, and ballad-y.

You mentioned lounge, but as for male lounge singers, the trick is always to hold a solid note without verbrato until the very end. So id still include lounge or big band.

I dont know it it helps, but "surf" voices or "california" emits a style of plain, sometimes off-keyed, spoken like , non-verbrato singing. The Beach Boys, In My Room as a good example.

I found that jazz is really jazz like, nice but still different from ballads. It’s just that sometimes the song is awesome but the voice is so much verbrato that it ruins it. Female voices more often than male ones. But I’ll try “surf” and “California” voices as well, who knows. What I want to replace the lyrics completely (different language) in an uploaded song, while matching the singing voice. I plan to do it section by section, so that Suno has enough context.
I uploaded the song, and Suno created the lyrics, more or less correctly, and even added [Verse] and [Chorus] sections! True magic. The song, however, is displayed in the editor as one large section, called "Song". I selected the words of the first verse, and the editor selection matched them perfectly. When I zoom in, the verse is 96 bars long — it makes sense, as the song feels to half-tempo I added the lyrics with section headers (there are two more sections that it created by default), did right-click on the "Song" section, and told it to "Reload lyrics". After some churning, it realigned the updated lyrics perfectly again. But the song in the editor timeline strip is still one large "Song".

I tried replacing the lyrics for the verse, and it worked well enough, the voice almost matches. After a few attempts, I got a replacement verse. Then I decided to be precise and manually split the song in the editor into sections, named them to match the lyrics box ("Verse 1", "Chorus 1", etc), so I could select them one by one. There are little discrepancies, but I can manually adjust them in the "New Lyrics" box: it has a button to enable the two small nibs in the text, marking the start and end of a section. Looks like I will be able to do what I want.

Now, I have two variants of the translation, one that rhythmically follows the original, another with more equal lines, as is more common for the target language. Just want to hear both and decide. So I thought to save my work into a new song — an exact unmodified copy of the uploaded song but with correct lyrics and marked sections in the editor. Besides, to save one's work once in a while is not a bad idea...

The new song saved under the same name + "(Edit)" in the title. But when I open it in the editor, the sections that I created manually are gone. I planned to open this song, replace vocals with version 1, save under a new name, then open it again, and replace the lyrics with version 2. But it does not do what I expected. I have marked-up sections only in the open editor in a browser tab, but can't save sections.

Is there a trick? Something has to match exactly? Am I forgetting to do something important? Of course the editor is not documented anywhere...

The only "trick" for me has been to make manual adjustments along the way and after saving until things start seeming more consistent.

Coco says in her workflow that "hooks" aren't used anymore. So wondered what they were and how were they used in the past. Thats where it started, I guess.

Seriously though, i just put in edit UI or Legacy and remove the bad spots. As well, Suno has an advantage (over DAW) of quantizing to adjacent spots (or reaching out before and after the splice) and blending it altogether, usually in the form of a remaster, but often on the fly in the edit UI.

It's not such a big deal. I can select sections in the song lyrics. They don't 100% match, so I'll need to adjust to the nearest bar with the number which is a multiple of 4. Or I can simply write down the bar numbers where I cut the timeline, and recreate the sections. There are less than 10.

But it's weird that sometimes it simply opens a song with all sections already cut in the main view! And now they added the ability to cut. It supposed to be stored somewhere. Is it? Or is it recreated every time from lyrics and audio?

I've actually heard people talking about getting longer that 4 min songs recently. I've been on Suno all day, and with the change ups in prompts, personas, and covers I've gotten a wide spectrum, but nothing less that 90 seconds. The most was between 5 and 6 mins.

I didn't do any extensions. All day, I used copy, insert, duplicate and replace in the edit UI. Had a fun day.

Do you mean "vibrato"? If you try to exclude it misspelled, it certainly won't do. There are two main types of modulation (of voice and instrument): tremolo, when the loudness pulses up and down, but pitch stays the same; and vibrato, when pitch changes. It's not a bug, it's a feature, singers (and other players, like violins and saxes) even synchronise their vibrato rate to the tempo of the music. These modulations are why the voice sounds human, not robotic.
The adjectives I used for the voice type were "operatic", "powerful", "soft", "raw", "vulnerable", "breathy", "punk", "raspy". But most of them will likely give you some degree of vibrato. Try something like "steady-pitched, almost robotic", maybe? Another idea, "amateur singer". The voices in dance and EDM music are usually like that because these singers rarely ever learn to sing IRL. 🙂 But if you mention "EDM" anywhere in the prompt, you'll get it... better don't!
Look at the prompts of songs by The Leftovers on Suno. They do crazy things with their girls' voices.

Regardless of the edit UI issue, i wanted to suggest too, if not already done, is ask ChatGPT or AI of choice to "re-write these English lyrics into [Japanese- or langauge of choice ] , exactly or as close possible to the syllables and metering of the English version , while maintaining the same meaning and intent of the English version. The purpose of this translation is to use the Japanese lyrics to fit to the same melody, tempo and rhythm of the English version. When needed, shorten phrases in the translated language to mean the same, but yet still fit within the metering and syllables of the English version. As much possible, match the rhyming scheme as the first" -- or something similar.

This is better to get something more exact to help Suno not throw out a new melody or get weird. From there I just use Cover.

In my experience using more descriptives along with “female” works for me. For example I try to include descriptive words like “soprano” or “alto” when attempting to get a certain vocal sound. Another good tool I use is persona’s. If you find one that is close to what you are looking for, or you happen to have a good vocal gen… you can save it and use it on future songs. It’s not foolproof but I tend to get pretty good results. I’ve always felt Suno’s Ai especially in English confuses the words male and female perhaps reading the word “male” within “female” by mistake. I’ve also used other words in various other languages to further differentiate between the two vocals. Hope this helps!

You can't remix a Beatles song and you then distribute your version of it without first getting legal permission from Sony Music Publishing. Its called a mechanical license, and Suno (Music Publishing 😁) does not provide licenses for the outputs Suno created and owns (and is storing in our Basic Library) for us while we were a Basic tier member.

Then, the short version is to prompt for "narration, spoken, podcast, radio show...." whatever works. But if any music when done , just split out a vocal track using stem splitter. Maybe remaster once after that.

The outputs with music can also get a bit more theatrical because it's matching the "genre" a bit, so that could be to an advantage to have a bit of ba king piano or such on the first output, then split out the vocal from there.

Tried to use Replace section today and wasn't very impressed with resuts. Firstly, music is misaligned with lyrics. So when i select to replace lyrics it just breaks the rhythm when new version is inserted. Because of the misalignment, I can't properly select the lyric in some sections. It just won't select them.

You will select a boxed section in the waveform and it should match up to the lyrics on the left side

Its a learning curve, for sure. Watch the purple highlighter to see where Suno matches up what it thinks is where the audio should be in the lyrics. Adjust by pasting in, adding some line spaces, whatever fits. Save the results and bring it back up again and review to see if it got it right. If needed make additional adjustments and save again.

So, I've been working on reworking an older song, and I've noticed that my first cover generation seems to do a good job of adhering to the original. But on any subsequent rerolls with tweaked lyrics, on the same Remix generate page, I have consistently the lyrics getting scrambled, in about the same spot every time.

A general rule is that any lyric tweak needs to be smaller than what you're replacing. Thats with the Replace tool as well.

Lyrics are Styles. So you may need to slide Styles a bit higher to strengthened the new lyrics are noticed and the old lyrics (audio) are avoided.

It's precisely how ppl run their music tech-ed channels. The late great Darrel Jones of MusicTechTuition (do buy his last book if you use Cubase!), Dom Sigalas, Chris Selim, Sara Carter, One Man and His Songs, Alice Efe, In the Mix, How to Write Songs, IAMXLGEND, Thomann Bedroom Producers, Mastering.com with their 6‒12 hours long hands-on tutorials… If I didn't forget anyone who is teaching the music tech on my sub list. But all of these persons fall into 3 broad categories: own or work for a real studio with real clients who pay per hour or a school with real students who cough up dearly for in-person classes; or are retired; or burn out completely after a few years and pull the plug.

Making YT videos as one's business is a unique model: it fails inevitably either because you fail to grow the channel, or because you succeed, expand, hire a team, then YT tweaks some algo, and... boom. The proximate cause is, you are paid not by your "clients", who use what you make, but by the third party, YT, who use both you and your clients to make money, and you get your slice based on the YT's perpetually changing the rules to their own benefit, not that of yours or your clients.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't use AI (not anything or anybody else, for that matter) to write poetry. It's mine. The same applies to music, only in a much greater degree. On Suno, I released a crazy total number of about 70 tracks in nearly 2 years since the release of V3. The whopping 4 of them even have my own lyrics, and the 5th is an English translation of one of them by someone else. The rest are instrumentals. I'm only driving Suno crazy with incoherent prompts until it glitches and hallucinates a musically interesting idea, then rethink and reuse it.

The goal that I want to achieve is only a good vocal track to the same music. I can easily fit it into timing, even transpose clashing notes, change timing to a degree in Cubase, then mix over the instrumental track that I already transcribed and replayed from the original. Too bad I never learned to sing... 😦 But I can certainly do that in Suno, I already have a draft. It matches the tone of the voice amazingly well. As if the same singer were singing, only in another language!

Then you can use it as a persona. It may be a glitch but I'm using it as long as it is.

oh shoot.. i got it backwards... Personas is affected by Style and the Audio is affected by Audio. A good setting is Style between 45-55% and Audio between 50%-65%..... but you can also crank them both far right and it would emphasize a bit of both the Audio you're covering and the persona you're adding.

I'm thinking if I grab an instrumental stem, and record vocal over the top of the instrumental, just enough so the instrumental is audible.
That should allow me to do an almost Acapella but maintain the timing of everything that the cover is going to generate.

Cuz that's the thing that's really been getting messed up. Especially strategic pauses, Suno wants to fill in the blanks and it has a tendency to ruin the whole vibe.

Welcome, and it's not my platform, not anyone else's here. This is a user-to-user help forum. 🙂 You pressed the button twice. It's fine, sometimes comping the stems gives you better results. So if you got them anyway, use 'em.
For the drums, there are online stem splitters on the 'Net. Suno just extracts a mixed drum track. I'm using a piece of desktop software for this, maybe not the best one out there, but I'm used to it. You'll almost certainly would find one that works for you — a lot depends on your goal. Drums are hard to unmix, the bass drum, for one, may be mixed from 3 mics: inside, near and far. There's also a lot of bleed, naturally — the drums are loud!
It's possible to tweak a mixed drum track using a plugin like Steinberg's Frequency (8-band parametric EQ with a compressor on each band).

Just for the details on stems: You get two variations, approximately 12 stems with one click. Both variation 1 and variation 2 groups are loaded into your library -- so you will see two of everything: 2 drums, 2 vocals, 2 bass...etc.

If you click the 2-stem only part , vocal and instrumental stem separation, you will get 4 outputs total, 2 variations of each -- for the 10 credits.

So yes, it does it twice, but it should debit only 50 for the both variations. If you got about 24 stems in your library, 2 sets of 2 sets of variations, then yes, it may have done it twice for 100.

Speaking of which: Dont delete half of them without listening to which variation you like better.

They say explicitly that they were charged 100 tokens. So now they have 4 sets of stems. 🙂 Sometimes stems benefit from comping, e.g. the steel string acoustic guitar mixes up on half a track with the piano, the other version has them fully separated but the quality is only so-so. I sometimes make an extra set of two when I hear problems in the stems that can't be solved in picking stems from one or the other stem set to get the full set. FWIW, Suno has perhaps the best stem splitter I ever used. Totally worth the extra 18 cents which are complained of...
Extra clicks happen to me, too. I once started 7 or 8 generations at once when I simply reached for my trackball to start one: the left button and the wheel got under the notebook's power cable, and I pulled on the trackball mindlessly a few times to free the wheel from under the cable... 😱 Some of them must have come out good, I guess, although to listen so many unwanted tracks was a PITA...

well, I've got an interesting problem now ... I have a song and the editor just flat-out won't recognize the song structure AT ALL, or even load all the displayed lyrics. When I load it into the editor, it only shows 2 sections: "Song" and "outro," and divides the whole track evenly between the two. Further, it only shows the lyrics for the outro, but they're displayed between ending tags, ie: [Ending] <some hebrew lines>[Ending] <newline> [Outro] <more hebrew>[Ending] .. and that's it. It doesn't recognize any verses, the chorus, nothing. Note that I have edited the displayed lyrics under "song details" and they all look correct there, and they also appear correct when just viewing the song from the link. It's only the editor that has a problem. Legacy editor is also showing the same issue.

Unfortunately, the AI pronounced a word or two wrong in one of the verses (it says "Hallelu-you" instead of "hallelu-yah") that I wanted to try to fix .. but with the editor totally borked like it is ... 😦 😦 😦

4.5 wont do blank extends, you need to select a start window back into the song, and then give Suno something to use for extending. Add instrumentals or breaks or more lyrics in the lyric window, but first delete everything in there and add just what you want for the extension.

I'm having trouble correcting one word in a lyric. I'm able to select the line, change the word and click Replace. I get to "Loading" messages with the spinning circle and the colorful animation in the timeline. At the bottom it says "Replaceing lyrics. Press [ESC] to stop". It never finishes. When trying to replace some lyrics in a section of chorus or even the whole chorus, the resulting audio is always softer than the original. Sometimes it's exactly what I want, but the change in audio level is very noticable. Is there any way around this or somthing that can be specified somehow ?

For a lot of my songs from 3.5, they were made using a hard rock sound. The guitars have a sort of tea kettle whistle/grinding noise when the lead guitar kicks up. I've tried remastering these tracks in 4.5, hoping that re-recording the guitars would better deal with this noise, but instead, the 4.5 remaster KEEPS the noise, instead!

Is there a way I could faithfully recreate those tracks with better instrumentation? I've tried covers/remixes, but I can't get the settings right to copy the songs.

I noticed that - Suno doesn't always do that. I uploaded 2 wav files yesterday, Suno only intepretted the Lyric on one of them.

For the one that doesn't have lyric, when cover you have to provide it yourself.

This always takes several attempts and usually more is changed than marked. For me, this method usually doesn't work properly in 80% of cases.

A few weeks ago it was still possible to create a persona from the original song and use the same (modified) lyrics. That always worked 80% of the time

Also, editor isn't perfect but when it works, it's brilliant - tbh, I had more success than others; but it's different for each case.

You can try with replacing tool to regen with more instruments - but I would not recommend.
You'd be more disappointed and it'd be very time and credit consuming; totally not worth it. Might as well create a new song.
You could try to download and layer it on DAW offline.

Thats about it for now. You're working within the output itself, so we can only regenerate a part while keeping the rest.

So far we cant paste in a bit from another output. Technically, if you could do that, you could take any part download it , tweak it, upload and insert it into an output.

You're just saying, swap an alternate of the same output. I know. And they may, in the future, id think, allow swapping anything made within the chain of the same origin song.

In a not so insignificant part, there are security issues with allowing that , even if possible.

For now, that's an offline, use your own DAW things to do.

The persona technically still saves and can be used to create, just under an "untitled" name.. hopefully it is resolved soon and we can go back and correct the name/description after.

You generally can not create a persona from a vocal stem. Some things to try, remaster it first and crop it, then see if it will let you make a persona, or crop the original to a place where its mostly vocals. One thing to note, Persona are not vocal presets, they are influencers for the entire style and voice type. Theres no guarantee you will maintain the same voice.

One thing to try, include a couple seconds from either side of the section you are editing, that way Suno maintains the same levels.

Suno works best when it has context guiding it, giving it a section without what came before lets it wander, sometimes it goes way off the beaten path.

With 8 minutes, thats good for uploading long songs, sure, but its also great for laying down a "prompt map" so to speak and still having 5 or 6 minutes of room to produce a full song hopefully with little or no degrading , without interpolatiing songs to where parts were missing, or without cutting songs off before they finish.

The way I started off was generating from a fresh prompt and adjusting it until I found something really really nice and make a persona out of that. Generating from that persona won't always result in the exact results you're after right away but you sure as hell are a lot closer.

Short answer : lyrics in the 800- 1000 range. Style Prompts: no more than 4 or 5? A modicum of metatags to help anchor the prompts.... what .... 3 at most per stanza or section. . I'd personally avoid the current "transitional phrasings".

So medium-low of everything to get 3:30- 6 minutes.M not sure thats the formula, but its making the most sense to me from what I'm seeing.

A small tip may be to use extensions for each transition rather than try to prompts for the transitions in one shot. It seems youre trying to either get an instrumental or interlude after each narrative? Or just have a narrative with background music matching the motif.

Its the "clearly marked" and "exact feel" that will be harder to hone in on. Most of my attempts at anything is the knowledge that im using my best guesses and experience, then clicking 30 times until something gets close, then move to the next section.

Hello, this is my first time posting here. Maybe y'all can help.
I have been using Suno for a long time without any issue but then the V4.5 update came and all of a sudden I am not able to upload music I wrote anymore. I tried converting to other file types and nothing seems to be working anymore.
I tried going back to V4 and then V3.5 and those are doing the same now as well.
Am I doing something wrong or is this a problem on Suno's side? I don't want to switch to a different company but if I can't upload my music then Suno is pretty much worthless to me. Any help is Very much appreciated. Thanks 🙏

Suno does not have vocal presets. Persona are influencers for voice and style, but they do not guarantee anything. Using persona can result in getting the same voice, but the nature of Suno's generative output has a random seed effect that we do not have access to.

It is quite possible your uploads are getting caught in the content filter. Anything the filter thinks is copyrighted materials will just fail or stall, and there's currently no error messaging stating why it's stalled. This "could" be the reason. Try uploading something that you created that does not have a vocal, and has never been published anywhere, see if you are still having the same issue. If that works fine, then teh content filter is the problem.

There are a few guides floating around for duets, but they are generally a little more difficult to control. I am assuming you are using 4.5. You would start with describing the song as a duet and with the singer types, then use meta tags in the lyric section to reinforce which singer is supposed to be singing.

These all can help you get what you want, but Suno does have an RNG aspect that hads a high probability to give you something you dont want.

I want to report a recurring issue with the incorrect pronunciation of words in songs generated by the AI. I have noticed that, even when I write the words correctly in the prompts, the AI consistently mispronounces them. This directly affects the quality of the output and forces me to spend more credits trying to get a correct version.

I believe this issue harms the user experience and creates a sense of distrust, since the platform does not seem to address these errors, even though several users in the community have reported them. I request that this behavior be reviewed and a solution provided, as well as a refund of credits in cases where the error is obvious and repeated.

This is a common issue in all generative output, not only with some Suno. Words can be mispronounced in any language. The only real way to fix this is to use phonetic spelling of words that get mispronounced. theres no other way to fix it.

AI , anywhere, and in every AI I've used to date, doesnt get ANY language perfectly. Its very good at recognizing patterns and continues to train on its own data to improve, but its a continual learning process and as such, should be expected to have issues all along. Fortunately, most things are well to have some workarounds until then.

ok then. the issue is this.
i'm trying to do a replacement. basically, i want a part sung by a man rather than a woman.
the problem is, despite having a "verse" that gets correctly selected, every single replace suno produced (out of the 50 i've accumulated so far) has the wrong lenght, and take two sentences from the next verse
with this every replacement is utterly wrong

what baffles me, is that by simply changing the style to "male" actually replaces the lyrics correctly... but then it "steals" the first sentences of the following verse. it's absurd.

There are many options in the Edit UI, and this includes the Legacy Edit UI as well. Im still working out things, whether they are glitches in Suno or just my own user error. Its not perfect, for sure. In the end I succeed, but it does included using a few workarounds sometimes or re-pasting lyrics or splicing out bad spots. I figure it all part of editing, same as if using my DAW or physically splicing tape or re-recording due to noise in a mic. Its comes with the territory.

Many issue I've had , when similar, function better if I align the lyrics before every Edit. Under the Edit menu at top left of the Edit UI, we can click to sign lyrics. This is a learning process as well, so its good to practice and learn how it works. It will help in replacing lyrics.

@ornate flax Watching the highlighted area and using Shift-arrows to slowly highlight the words (letter by letter, token by token) , and avoiding highlighting any prompts ot labels such as [chorus] can help get a more precise chosen area.

In Legacy, we can manually change the timemarks. That may be beneficial to do manually, that to trust just dragging or highlighting by eyesight.

I almost exclusively use personas with each extensions to designate gender now. It is much harder to put, say, [female vocal] in a New Lyric box in the Edit UI Replace section and get it to catch. I get that.

Best i can offer is to plan out the vocal genders and stanza "vibe" before starting a song and use extensions with personas, not moving to the next extension until the vocal/gender/sound is as we want, first.

Dont forget to use the three Replace .... ummmm... structures (content blender) of Fixed/Classic/Smart to your advantage depending on how much or little your looking to either change or blend. Even there, im still learning, but it make a difference in how clean it will change out lyrics.

Errors in Legacy could be anything really. Its hard to say as there are many factors. Even just setting the display format can help or hinder.

If the error is "can not generate clip" , thats a catch-all from perhaps filtered and blocked content, to a server load (busy) issue, to the title being too long to generate new samples. Its just hard to say.

Even making a copy and the trying again on the copy can be helpful.

Sorry I cant help more on errors within the Edit UIs.

You can choose as little as 3 seconds, I believe, which makes it harder to replace just one word. Nonetheless, if you can select one word , try Fixed or Smart for your content blending setting to help avoid affecting adjacent words.

For me, I've found just highlighting the whole stanza (verse, chorus, etc.) to be simpler, provided you like the resulting melody.

As for changing all choruses thereafter. You can copy or duplicate the updated chorus to paste in the other spots. It may have splice or seam clicks from being off beat. From there more small edits are needed either manually or using remasters or convers.

I've done this often enough to know its not too arduous, and sometimes fun to hear how a few of the adjusted blends work out.

The changes in volume can happen and no one likes that. It IS possible to then just segment the lower-volume new bit, click the 3--dot menu below the segment and adjust volume up to match the original. Again, not to difficult.

Even a brand new song can have unwanted volume changes. So its good to know that we can adjust any selected segment.

I've heard that happens. You should be able to just tap on the line and it will adjust without dragging.

I always suggest to first drag and eyeball where the DOT lies on the line. Then, after it pops back, just click at the exact same spot to set your volume to be more accurate one one try. Not so great, but it gets the job done.
