Please instruct me on the best way to have Suno produce music under my vocal track. I have several songs written with a professionally recorded isolated vocal track and I would like Suno to provide the music production for them. So far I have had good results by uploading my vocal audio track and adding the corresponding lyrics and giving a stylistic prompt.

The problem is with duration, my uploaded audio has a maximum time limit of 60 seconds which is not enough to train Suno with all of the melodic and chordal movements of the song. 60 seconds is usually only enough time to get past the first chorus and a typical song structure is: Intro, Verse 1, Verse 2, PreChorus 1, Chorus, Verse 3, PreChorus 2, Chorus, Bridge, Chorus, lasting around 3:30 minutes. Suno has other tools such as "Cover", "Extend" and "Replace" but i have not yet found the most effective solution. Please tell me how you would best achieve having Suno produce music for my entire song which averages 3:30 in time with a song structure of: Intro, Verse 1, Verse 2, PreChorus 1, Chorus, Verse 3, PreChorus 2, Chorus, Bridge, Chorus. I am proficient in working with DAWs so I am prepared for post editing.

I have seen some people succeed at getting Suno to perform speech, but usually not while music is playing. It might work better if you generate a song first and then overlay voice that you obtain elsewhere onto it in external software

Well, Narrow AI are good at what they were trained for, which in Suno's case is making music, not so much straight talk (which you could achieve more easily when doing Stand Up Comedy and a few other categories like that).

Perhaps you should look into other services that provides TTS? There are several.
Heck, Suno made their old TTS project (Bark) open sourced on GitHub and huggingface.co

"Remixing" has technically been doable for a very long time, it was just not a specifically named feature

Initially it seems awful, but this is actually really good for people posting songs publicly on Suno because it adds a toggle to prevent that

No automatic way at the moment. You only need to do it for the songs (and their linked sources if derived) you make public, in a public playlist, or shared the link out as people cannot remix what they do not know what to access.

Functionally, nothing changed with the default. In the past, people could remix (cover, extend, reuse) your work at any time. Now, we have the option to disable it.

On the rare occurance that happens to me, it is usually the prompt I used messed something up (e.g. old recording or mentions of cassette will pull up, well, patterns associated with old cassette recordings that do not have the best quality XD)

Well I got around this bug for my one song. I created a persona of the song, and also changed one word for the intro and now everything created with it is good.

Just ignore it, likely forgot to include exceptions in the back system, specifically they probably forgot to check if the remixed source is created by the same user (i.e. yourself)

wow, I "made" a pretty nice cinematic score, but it's oversaturated and distorted, how can you make the genration "compress" all the channels so there's no clipping sound ?

Each generation (2 songs) costs 10 credits total (5 credits per song). If a track fails to generate or the length < 8 sec, you get refunded 5 credits per failed song

Also, sometimes the display may be incorrect as the counter is not synced. Refresh the page to see the correct balance

Try changing the style prompt (e.g. insert a new prompt in the middle, remove a few, drastically change it, etc.)

I also heard that inserting a new line at the top helps (sometimrs may need a sacrifical first verse if it tends to skip). You can try with something like [short instrumental intro]

Not broken, they are not accepting it. A common cause is that the financial institutions or geographical locations could be blacklisted due to high rates of fraud/scams, geopolitical reasons (e.g. sanctions), etc.

One alternative is to download the official app and subscribe using Apple/Google Pay

Suno is unique in that its about you having full ownership of your content, that no one else could use the same material without your permission. So, as you don't own public domain material, then that qualifies as restricted content.

You're probably right, that its public domain. Same for nursery rhymes , the Happy Birthday song and others. It's a moot point though when you can't show that you are the only owner. It's obvious not to be true as its either public domain, Creative Commons or copyrighted to someone else or to the public at whole.

Correct urgently! Return everything as it was, you do not need a remix mode in a form as you imagined it!It is impossible to finish a song now! Instead of extending the song, the remix mode is turned on... Bring back the "finish writing" mode and remove your remixes! First, you need to test everything on the beta version, and then connect it to all users. If you do not have a normal team of beta testers, then you do not need to turn on a raw update for everyone every time... Hire beta testers and test in the sandbox, and not launch for everyone what you did... How can I now finish a song if the function no longer works, after your update! Why is there no option to disable the remix mode in the settings, so that it does not start automatically with each track? Who wants to turn it on, similar to how the selection of the suno engine version is turned on... You can't redesign the interface every time if you do not have a plan for its development... that's where all the errors come from.

How do you mean, toggle switch for copyrighted stuff? For instances, if you sing songs at a bar, the bar should be carrying a blanket license so you can sing copyrighted material. YouTube, and distributors pay a blanket mechanical license fee so that can happen.

Suno is not in that business. They're whole thing is to just the opposite, provide what is best thought of as original generative output which , hopefully, never comes close to sounding like anything else particularly.

Being Devils advocate: the Create button is still there in the Create UI to indicate were just Creating a song.

Most anything else makes sense that they are tools to augment or recreate an already made output. So, the nomenclature had to be something that made sense: Remix was the choice word.

So, covers, extends, reusing lyrics, styles were all moved under a Remix UI while just the actual first creation was left in the Create UI.

I think if this was the design when , say 3.0 came out, we would have no issue, but assume, hmmmm, that makes sense. New tools, cover, extends, etc. And its called "remixing" . Makes sense.

Youre right though, it would be interesting to see the button change for everything we do though. But then we often combine items like extend/lyrics/prompts ......or covers/lyrics/persona..... or extend/personas or just persona. Not sure it would be too practical. Maybe just leave it "Remix"

What you do with them becomes your own risk, no different than if you sat with a guitar and recorded a song. The one consistent issues I find across board is when the song seems to start strong and within the second verse loses much of the instrumentation and the vocal nuances change. So by 3/4 ways through it sounds more "generic" . I'm so used to genning with personas its less of an occurrence.

But I like when I can do very little and get something nice as well. So, I like when there is something consistent is all.

My example is usually making Christmas songs. The first verse is all jingle-bells nd bright and bouncy , but by the middle its just a nice song and nothing to feel like Christmas. Or it will have nice fills and a violin in the first verse, but after that, pitters away and no more.

Or starts with some authentic bagpipes and meld into just a clarinet by the end of a song.

Seems it would be stronger, not needing any seed space for the music if just adding vocal characteristics. That would be the concept behind just phonetically reading all the sounds a language can make in the dialect and nuance of the vocal you want as well. I'm guessing that if you add a persona but overwrite the persona prompts with new ones Suno has to both filter out the persona Genre (likely by simply trying to avoid it , as in what the exclusion filter does) it already holds in its database for that persona before adding in the new genre.

The vocals of a genre also have a "genre" nuance as well. Such as the same vocal in a jazzy persona will sing a song a bit differently (with no vibrato) than an opera one (with vibrato)

So not having any persona genre to filter may be better or could just be neutral and do no better. Just have to experiment.

Well... it's not actually settled case law. There are plenty of plausible counter arguments as to why anything you generate with a tool is the property of the person doing the generating, regardless of whether they are on a free or premium service tier. The problem is that it has not been argued and settled in court. Who has ownership of AI-generated content has no direct legal precedent, yet.

That said. The free tier allows you to make stuff. And, should you use it commercially (yes, YouTube counts when the video is monetized), and Suno decides to pursue you in court, then they are going to argue that what you created is theirs.

However, if you have any premium tier (including the cheapest one), then Suno will not contest ownership.

That's basically what it comes down to. Suno is saying "this is what we believe, and this is what we will push for in court, should it come to that." The basic fact is that it's not settled, but do you have the time, energy, and money to defend yourself in court if you monetize a song created on the free tier and Suno decides to push the issue? That's the choice you are making.

Re record with your own voice and just layer it, stem split and mix it, duplicate the vocal and detune slightly, mix with a different instrumental or add additional instruments to an existing one

So I tried again, I create a song with a lot of lyrics, so I split them in two. Song gets created in 4.5 no problem, length around 4 mins. Then I extend it with the rest of the lyrics and it completely bugs out, every extension is just nonsense, not the same style, no lyrics at all, just one sound/tone for 40 seconds, 2 seonds and it gets refundet etc. Why? It worked perfectly until the "remix feature" came along.

ok for some of you who just hit Create and have an ungodly amount of useless songs you want to delete but have to do it one at a time ,as there is no hotkey to just delete. Hold down CTRL and left click each song adding to a queue and at the end of the list left or right click one the 3 dots on the right hand side of the song list and send to trash.

I know there’s no official support here - but wonder if anyone experienced same thing;

I’m a pro subscriber since a couple of days back. I’m using my Mac. I created an account via google and all good to go. Made a few songs.

I downloaded the iPhone app, pressed sign in and used same login procedure via Google . Then I realised Suno made a new account. I quickly deleted the account. Then my original account got suspended/blocked for 27days.

I’ve opened a support ticket of course - but is it somehow possible to get around it?

Remix is now the entirety of the Editing features. You cant toggle it "off", Its mostly confusing with all teh editing says "Remix". Most of teh functions still work the same as they did, theres just a confusing button that says Remix instead of what feature you are using.

As far as remix permissions, its in the More Options menu (...)

That only would have made your PUBLIC songs set to not allow Remix, tracks that are set to private were all defaulted to ON.

Your private tracks can not be remixed by someone else unless you give someone a link to that track.

I still can’t access my Suno account with google.
No matter what I try – Chrome, Edge, or the mobile app – I always get the same error:

“This email is not allowed to access this application.”

This clearly isn’t a browser issue, but an account-level block.
I’ve created around 20 songs over several months – nothing excessive or against the rules.
They’re important to me, and I didn’t download all of them.

I’ve emailed support ([e-mail]) but haven’t gotten a real reply yet.

Is there anyone here who had a similar issue and got it solved?
Or anyone from the Suno team who could help me restore access or at least export my songs?

Since there's a randomness in it all, it usually takes more than a couple of anything for me to find one I like. But remaster, with 4.5, and even remaster the 4.5 with 4.0 and then maybe back to 4.5, can give some good results somewhere between 1 to 10 generations. ( about 2 to 20 outputs).

I'd say, I'd always like to think a "remix" is only when you put your twist on someone else's song. Editing my own song would be a ... what's a short term..... like "Recut" I simply like the buttons to help recognize which edit is which since there are no date stamps on the visual listed output.

Short Labels for edit buttons for UI formats:
Remix - editing someone else's song, with a balance of lyrics , theme and at minimum , its motif remaining.
Recut- editing a new varied version of same personal song
Cover - a recut or new cut of others song, but arrangement, lyrics and motif unchanged.
I- Splice, O-splice - for pasting in or taking out
Crop - for removing to keep
Trim - taking off ends piece
Copy - a complete untouched duplicate

I haven't tested much, but now that personas can be addeded to extensions, that's a possible means. Make a chorus, ensemble , choir, cast, gospel type piece and them make a persona for that. Use it when extending the spot where the chorus comes in. See what you get.

I did my small 3 year stint in Marketing and Ads. A good way to promote a difference and not cause a rift at the same time is to create your own term for the same thing. For what its worth, there is no dividing line between male and female frequencies as they can overlap , especially towards the middle. Just "tendencies" at best. Which i think is why it's so hard to consider them as "styles". I'm sure there was more manual training and manipulation by deveopers to just say, OK, this is going to be female and this male, and hope everyone agrees.

You could get a Michael Jackson style voice, for instance, and its only distinguishable by subtle warmer tones that indicate a possible male than female is singing.

I’m experiencing a recurring issue when generating songs in Ukrainian. Despite trying multiple prompts and formatting methods, the AI still mispronounces or replaces some Ukrainian words with Russian. Here’s what I’ve already tried:

Specifying "Ukrainian Language" in the style field

Adding tags like [Ukrainian Language], [Language: Ukrainian], [Ukrainian Language Only] at the beginning of the lyrics

Including these tags per section, e.g., [Verse 1][Ukrainian Language], [Chorus, Ukrainian Language], etc.

Using lowercase text throughout

Adding "No Russian Language" or similar instructions to style or prompt sections

Unfortunately, none of these have resolved the issue. The pronunciation remains mixed, and parts of the lyrics are still rendered in Russian.

You may be recalling the profile page where one can change user name and handle. The handle beginning with an @ sign and at quick glance one may think its an email or maybe a user name/password.

When first creating an account, its done by phone number or SSO only. That's it. Been that way for two years as I've helped dozens with those issues. BUT, if you click on an SSO and perhaps don't have an account with, say, Discord, the first thing pops up is to put in an email and new password. That as well, may be where youve seen it and though it was directed within Suno.

Song uses SSO for two reasons to NOT need to save passwords as well as to authenticate and monitor connections and use. That's the whole purpose of SSOs is to do aways with need for passwords.

If ever the case, then you would be dependent on suno to retrieve the password and an odd sort for any app to not allow you to periodically change passwords at will for security reasons.

You may then try adding a new SSO which will relate to the old email and connect. Read this chat from earlier and work out whether its something to try. #📚┃suno-school message Recently , Suno now "associates" all SSOs which have similar ties backs, especially to your phone, to connect through any SSO.

Whether its helpful or not is unknown to me.

It's good we've weeded through as many possibilities we can think of. It appears possible to add your email to one of your other accounts to perhaps then log into your primary account. But that far beyond what I would know. How it would affect your then logging into your other account with it snapping back into your primary account is not known.

Its possible the better way would be to just extend each part and use prompts that we hope match your need. Even that then may take several outputs to find one that finally hits it. If not obvious that its close by the first 2 outputs, you may re-arrange the prompts or try something different.

As far as I can tell , so far, if Suno even recognizes BPM it may not be strong enough to go against the conceived BPM of the generative genres of the rest of your prompts and tags. For instance if I had "60 bpm, heavymetal, glitchcore, speedmetal, scream" all somewhere around 130+, Im sure the other prompts will far outweigh the 60bpm and just ignore it.

of course your 94 would be close in the vibe of your other prompts, so hopefully it carries some weight. otherwise, use some terms to mean "moderate speed"

Newbie. I have uploaded two each 2-minute segments of a song of mine, with music and voice with V4.5. I need to splice these together if possible and then try to "Extend" to get my final 1.5 minutes of missing lyrics.

I have extended using the last (second) splice of the original song and it really keeps the original intact fairly well while adding another extended piece, just wordless, OR repeating what it heard prior. I just would like to get in MY lyrics for the final missing 1.5 minutes.

I suspect that their issue may be related to an add-on or something running in the background tbh.

They could narrow it down by:

• Using incognito/private mode to disable most/all extension (if add-ons is the issue, can use the built-in extension/profile monitor to find the cause)
• Close all browsers and observe idle usage (Check their services to see what is running in the background if it is still way too high)

And likely several other options. Really doubtful that the UI itself is the issue because tons of people would have complained a long time ago when the new UI was implemented if there was a memory leak or high g/cpu usage like the OP talked about

Is the track from a copyright protected song? There is a copyright checkers that would stop it if that is the case as it is agaonst the TOS and can place you in legal liability.

Problem: Currently, Suno sometimes mispronounces words or mixes similar languages (e.g. Bulgarian with Russian, Spanish with Portuguese) when generating vocals. This affects pronunciation accuracy and lyrical quality.

Suggestion: Add a dedicated language selection tab in the song creation interface, separate from the prompt or lyrics input. This way, users can explicitly set the intended language for pronunciation and grammar purposes, ensuring more accurate vocal output and reducing confusion between similar languages.

Bonus: It could also allow better tuning of accents (e.g., British vs American English, Castilian vs Latin American Spanish), which would greatly enhance realism and user control.

Mispronounciation is a known issue and sometimes it is inevitable, especially with homonyms. One recommendation is to phonetically spell the words you want.

If I have an extensive issue with this, I just copy my lyrics to a LLM and ask them to spell it phonetically and use that

I've let the software develop songs on its own (in the past) and it's given me copyrighted riffs from Red Hot chili peppers songs and other famous artists. How do I turn OFF remixes?

Trying to use a previously created persona. It keeps defaulting to a remix of a previously generated song that I don't want to use.

No automatic way at the moment. You only need to do it for the songs (and their linked sources if derived) you make public, in a public playlist, or shared the link out as people cannot remix what they do not know what to access.

Functionally, nothing changed with the default. In the past, people could remix (cover, extend, reuse) your work at any time. Now, we have the option to disable it.

Been burning credits trying to extend a simple vocal only audio upload. Got terrible, overly weighty heavy bass and muffled sound. Absoltuly awful. Then I realised... try v4 instead of v.4.5. And... nailed it in first generation.
v4.5 doesn't seem a step forward for indie electropop IMO.

Among a few of us, sometimes we use remaster in 4.5 to then remaster that in 4.0, to give a clean result. Often a crisp version and a warm version of outputs. So thats another option involving 4.0 to try

In theory, as we can extend and add a persona at the same time, that could allow to add a persona of a different voice. How this affects and blends and picks up the same vibe of what you're extending while trying to add a whole different sound is unknown to me. I still haven't done much testing in that direction. But its a thought to consider.

You should begin with the new lyrics in the Lyrics section.

You give your lyrics in sections [Verse] [pre-chorus] [chorus] and so on broken down into sections and add any [metatags] as desired [Intro] [[Yamaha DX7] [mournful fiddle] and so on to give it some instructions on how to create the song, then you try to craft a style prompt that gets as close to the genre as you can to the type of sound you're looking for.

Then you refine it as you go tweaking for better sound until you're happy.

Glad to help. There's definitely a bit of a learning curve. I started with v1 Chirp so I am keenly aware of how much things have changed each version. And for every type of prompting that stayed the same there were things that no longer worked that way and I had to relearn new methods of prompting to get what I wanted.

if you're trying to splice in a vocal recording, you're better off doing it externally

They have split the interfaces into two panels. A new creation is called "Create" on the button. That's it. It doesn't do more.

All other tools to edit an existing output you've done is called "remixing" to Suno, so they have all been moved to a different panel and the button says Remix.

As Dotpuppy says, they've added a speed control to the "Remix" panel and you may now have access to anyone else's song which they have clicked ON permission for editing their song to add into your catalogue -- so when viewing others outputs , you will see a Remix button for anyone that is giving permission.

The "reuse prompts" before has been renamed to "Use Styles and Lyrics" . This expands the use of "reuse prompts" to now include using others lyrics, with their permission, of course, of they have clicked on "Remix" permissions toggle on their public output.

Replace vocals with other vocals? Well, technically, if i upload me singing something, and i then Cover it, it will replace with a somewhat random Suno vocal, yes.

Replace vocals with specific chosen vocals. Sort of. You could try covering your upload and add a persona. I haven't found it reliable yet. Results are random and some not even close, due to it melding styles from two sources.

I agree, I used to use 95% of the time on my Android Fold 5 until v4.0 came out. So it was a brick for a month. I started using Dolphin browser to get around most issues.
