The main reason for using remove, was actually because it had made the parts I wanted, but with 3 additional sections in between - a duplicate of of the 1st sections after the intro. Which is actually quite, odd because many tracks I make, seem to do this.

That's always something to mention in the bug channel. They can tally if others are having the same issue. Remove has made it more tolerable but 3 addit duplicates are not normal.

So what I'm doing right now is essentially damage control.
Though they're entirely duplicates, as you can see, but the sections and lyrics are, hence the cleanup duty so to speak.

Agreed it does, but it's possible the reason I get the those issue from efforts in trying to get it right - trying to "force" Suno to behave it a certain way, and the output is affect - if you know what I mean. Another way to put it, I may be using Suno's prompting in a different way than intended, because a lot is also trial and error and learning how to use it right.

However, even though it now allows songs up to 8 minutes, it seems that reaching this length still requires manually using the Extend feature in steps. This can interrupt the workflow and make full-length song creation feel disjointed.

I'd like to suggest adding support for timestamp-based structure guidance directly in the prompt or description, so users can create full-length 8-minute songs in a single generation without extending in parts.

Example structure (used in the prompt or description):

[1:00–3:00] clean verse
[3:00–3:45] whispered bridge
[3:45–4:15] rising pre-chorus
[4:15–4:50] harsh chorus
[4:50–5:20] instrumental

If the model could interpret timing cues like this, it would allow for more natural pacing and structured longform songwriting without having to rely on extending in pieces. Would love to know if something like this could be implemented.

A new persona based on the track? You can make as many as you want, I think.

But the Origin track is the seed for the persona, so you can't separate the persona from the seed. The persona really doesn't exist, but when you use it it pulls those styles and nuances off of the original and applies it to the new output (without the same level of restrictions put on Covers).

You can delete the one you don't like though or both.

As for style prompts and lyrics. Metatags though, placing similar prompts in both is beneficial.

No luck, and you can't even fix all the artifacts Suno conveniently adds to the songs. The inpainting is the worst I've ever used. It makes up nonsense and ruins the vocals. Using this is extremely frustrating. It ruins perfectly good songs with garbage. They keep coming out with new versins withotu fixing the bones of the damn system. It's absurd. I'm blowing tokens on garbage generations that can't match vocals or tone.

Who knows. It did seem to pick up on the intro prompts and then the sax and doubled the beats.

Without any instructions it's all hunt and peck. Usually less is better I've found. So I'm going to look for the least words possible.

But your prompts were pretty sparse and direct and basic, so if it were to work, your way seems a pretty good chance.

The random one I just did, it seems to do one thing well no matter the song, lyrics, prompts or the rest and that's sing in a folk ensemble style like the Lumineers. 🤷

The whole vocal has more of a portemento sounds similar to an Arabic song. Ill be honest to say as nice as it is, it's not as if it morphs into one them the other. Just blends a bit of all the genres, including salsa now. So very nice.

Not sure what I'm looking for to equal that "morphing or mashing" that should be more prevalent in 4.5 and trying to as objective as possible. Personally Im looking for similar to the vibe if we just extend segments with different genres each time.

Ai generative is very nuanced and you'll find that even adding prompts that are not even close to what you're shooting for can help in other ways... styles which have fast singing that we don't think about: broadway, auctioneer, jazz, scat and coloraturo soprano (fast singing opera)

Right. Not on that specific song. Its completely broken.
So, what I did was to crop the entire song --> Edit > Crop --> that would give me another copy of the song...
Then I loaded that new copy in the Editor, then it's working! I was able to replace a section succesffully once it's recognized alll the sections in the song.

So, here's how I've been fixing my song. At the bottom of the songs page, it says 'Edit Displayed Lyrics'. I listen to the areas that are messed up nd change the lyrics there. Then, when it imports to replace, the verse is highlighted. It's a massive pain in the azz and I expect suno to fix this.

Lyrics need to be aligned with the audio first.

In my case... even when I did that.. it still didn't recognize the lyric sections.

Tnx. Each time you replace a section Suno deletes all the verses and messes up the lyrics. So you need to leave and do it all again. Suno knows this is an issue but has done nothing to fix it. If we know they know.

Remember Replace doesn't have to be the final step. You can Remaster or Cover the song after the replace to fix things like rough spots where the audio doesn't smoothly join together, or places where the music style isn't consistent.

often remastering loses a certain bit of the soul of the original if the original was close to perfect. it's the curse of generative ai. But sometimes that means remastering something less than perfect actually makes it better

There's a specific 3.5 song I made recently that I can't remaster because every remaster loses this really special little guitar chord that gives the song a real sense of personality. And covers remove even more.

Man I love the instruments in V 4.5. Absolutely amazing layering.

That being said, vocals are really bad for me. I have two complaints.

1 - vocals have started to have that underlying kind of crunchiness to them again like version 3.5 had where a womans voice still have a gravely texture as if it were morning voice on a man. Very crunchy and not in a good way.

2- Without very hard prompting in a very specific way (which eats into my limitations of 3k characters)
Every womans voice loses itself after the intro and slips into a very generic womans voice that I can best described as a breathy Tate Mcrae that sings in cursive (not pronouncing works correctly) as shown in this song

I have found a few times I finally gotta a womans voice to sound slightly different but, I don't know if it's because my lyrics are to much like another song or if the genre is to much like a pop song therefore they sound like this but honestly, Out of 10 songs, they will all emd up sounding like some variation of this womans breathy, cursive whiney way of singing and I hate it.
Try and get a strong African American woman singing a power piece but with some pop lyrics, and nope, it will do the first 30 seconds amazing and then slip back at some point to this. That mixed with point 1 (that crackly gravel voice) I am burning credits and it's infuriating

I would love some way to really pin with weight what I want the ai to pay special attention to. With image generation I can add little [weight] or greater [[[weight]]] depending on brackets. Have the ability to go [pop] but then [[[ African American Woman]]] for vocals and it actually add weight to that prompt, would give much greater control of getting the sound I want. Is there any way anyone knows that weight can be added in such a way?

The most I've seen is we'd have to embed each song at a time. I've not seen an embed for a playlist likely as that might need to assist of the API (of which there is no access made available).

Just like having to contact Harry Fox agency for a licence to use a song by, say, Mariah Carey, you can contact Suno support to discuss getting a license for a song/output by Suno, (which you helped create under Basic accounts) because Suno both own the songs and the publishing rights. That also means ANY portion of an/any output (i.e. sampling). They may consider case by case requests - is all I've ever heard.

Personas /Covers need to reach back into their original to seed the next output. This included using some "generative" room of the new output as a reservoir to pull out the styles and nuances of the new output.

Factors involved in how much this overpowers the new output include how much lyrics were in the old origin output, and lyrics are in the new. How close the styles are from new to the persona's origin. And I believe, the order in which the Create window is set up in using the persona. These gives or takes weight from how it may influence or even just take over the output.

One method is to crop a copy of the origin, so you would make a persona on just a minutes worth of origin. Then use THAT persona in creating a new output "song" with the persona's influence. Include is having a moderate arrangement of lyrics for the new output rather than just a verse or two.

The other means is 4.5 version: 1) create persona or get one already created.
2) use new lyrics and prompts on a blank Create page. Create an output. 3) Cover new output while also attaching the made persona. 4) choose between keeping the auto-embedded persona prompts for the origin styles box or exchange back with the new output's prompts you created earlier. 5) Click Create.

If hard prompting is needed every time, then you should perhaps post in the bugs room or suggestion channel these concerns. Now, as personas are used for maintaining a steady voice, this shouldnt be as difficult to hold consistency throughout most of the outputs, with the assumed few random"off" ones.

There's a fairly strong moderating filter monitoring uploads. It's perhaps reviewed an audio that doesn't pass its filters. You would be best to guess if it's a recorded sound from another source and not specifically your own recording. Otherwise , recording your own voice or you playing s piano, and sound effects generally tend to pass the monitor.

Screen captured audio? Is your recording found elsewhere, such as YouTube, bilibili, spotify, etc. Otherwise, typically you would have your own owned music as a mp3 file. If its originally recorded/playable from somewhere else available on the internet, it could likely already be in a database as "third party" songs to compare to and block someone from using.

If its truly owned by you, you can contact Suno support to clear it. But you can't upload audio/sounds produced by someone else. For instance, you can go outside and record birds singing, but you can't screen capture my recording of birds singing that I had previously uploaded to YouTube.

Beyond keeping a Family oriented venue with Suno, people have varying ideas of what's passable as a "Family" 😊. I dont even know if personas can be reported for review, Ive never checked. But any report takes two steps 1) to report and 2) to review for validity.

Sorry about that. So its a persona now that still exists but with a blank title? Again, a bit odd it simply wasn't blocked as a whole thing, if even that was the cause.

Type something innocuous in like Butterfly, and see if it ever disappears again.

There's been some discussion about tryring to bring 3.5 and 4.0 features up to 4.5 level and remain consistent. The consensus so far is , once you get a good output with a similar sound vocal to remake a new persona under 4.5.

So, yea, sure, we likely need to get that consistent vocal first. So have you found a good 20 seconds of it to crop first and make a persona from that that works and then if the next output sounds more consistent, then repeat process until you have built a stronger persona?

Would this be of assistance? This is to review the audio timing against the lyrics , before doing any correction. If all good, you click to sync up the lyrics to audio.

Also , if using replace, you may wish to check the work before clicking "Generate Replacement" turn on by clicking the tick box under the cogwheel down by the playback.

That's true. It's suggested (by me) to have at least as many lyrics or more in the new output than were in the origin used for the persona. ... "blank" space leaves Suno to fill in the gaps with what it feels works, old lyrics or repeating new.

A persona is just a code used to reach back to the all parts of the original now used as a seed, attempt to filter out the lyrics while retaining the characteristics in the vocals and style weaved throughout the lyrics. If given an opportunity, Suno will decide the old lyrics are more optimal over the new and drag those in as well. [All my opionion, of course]

I had one persona recently pull in three lines of an old chorus melded with two lines of the new. And repeated that on the next two choruses. So it was decidedly arranged that way by Suno. Frankly it was kinda cool as for the melody, which apparently it thought better , but as for the lyrics, they then didn't make sense, so I couldn't use it anyway.

Just my ears: I liked the treble in the arpeggio bits, but the rest was more a concophany to listen to, by having more treble than the original. So in headphones or buds it may be smoother, but phone speakers (I'll assume the choice of those on the go) just sounds more like banging tin bin lids.

I also want to understand why there’s an extend option in v4.5 when it doesn’t actually extend the track. It only replaces the ending with maybe 10 extra seconds. I guess it's the luck of the prompting. One extension over 1 minutes, the other over 2. 🤷 all I did was add " male vocal" to the same prompt and "Ooo" to the lyrics. Whether that's had anything to do with it. [No vocals in the output] All instrumental.

The problem with Suno is the stems when separating the vocals from the instruments.

The separation is poor — I have version 4.5 and it's still just as bad. For professionals, it's completely useless.

Unfortunately, I won’t be renewing the monthly plan because the stems are still terrible. I don’t understand why they don’t generate vocals and instruments on separate channels. The issue is that they generate everything together, so when it comes time to separate, it sounds awful.

I know what you mean. The problem is that Suno is the best AI music generator out there. No other AI program does what Suno does. What’s frustrating is that producers like you and me get annoyed by these issues because we know that once they’re fixed, we’ll have a killer production tool. Most people won’t notice, They just hear a song and think it’s okay. But we hear the flaws and think, if this were fixed, it would be party time. For me, the top priority is consistency in EQ settings, which is the biggest issue right now. Tracks often go from a dull, muffled EQ to a bright, clear EQ near the end, and some use too much compression.

For professional music producers, this is an issue. The separation tool in Suno actually worsens the track compared to the original. When you place the two separated files in a DAW on separate tracks and compare them to the original Suno output, there’s a noticeable drop in audio quality. It sounds like the audio has been re-EQ’d. The stems also aren’t clean—parts of the vocals remain in the instrumental. While that’s a common limitation in most separation tools, the loss of audio quality is where it really falls short. In professional tests of over 10 tools i took, lalal.ai was the only one that preserved full audio quality.

Any one know how exactly to handle if you have lyris that are actually part of a previous section according to the prompt/lyrics, but audio-wise and according to the labelling in the matching lyrics editor? This is honestly hard to do because it is not the intended point of the AI so it is likely not trained to do such a thing.

A few tips:

1. Never say "no [x]" in the style prompt. The AI will split (tokenize) that into "no" and "[x]", which will lead to more instances of [x]. If you have a subscription, use the exclude field
2. Try looking up a list of subgenres which the style would give you what you want.
3. Have you tried just "[subgenre] rhythm"? Again, I doubt it will omit the melody because it was not designed for that, but might as well try
4. You can use an external service that has multiple stem split/channels and get the type of stems you want

Again, Suno was never designed to do what you want. Narrow AIs (or Artificial Narrow Intelligence) do not do well when given commands that it did not learn how to do.

Suno's AI was trained to make music commonly encountered, as in mainly vocal and instrumental. I really doubt there is a specific training for non-melody outputs

Check if there is a subgenre that has what you want, as that will improve your odds, otherwise you will have to go to third party solutions to get the output you want

Suno really has a problem. The pressure on Suno regarding version 4 was so great that they ultimately tried to take the wind out of our sails with an immature version 4.5. I was also excited about the new version. I reactivated my monthly Premier subscription. Unfortunately, I was disappointed again. The sound has improved somewhat in places, but the vocal lines are so uninspired and boring that you can't listen to the song for more than two minutes. It's another wasted month with Suno. I'm going to let my subscription expire again and look around the market a bit or take a break from AI music. I'm not having any fun like this, and I'm hating Suno more and more.

For financial-related issues, billing is much faster (within a few business days). If you send a non-financial question/issue to billing, they will just redirect the ticket to support and place you at the end of the queue

Is that someone asking a LLM a question? It is not a good idea to ask them these type of questions for several reasons:

1. AIs can lie to you with confidence. ALWAYS be skeptical/critical of the answers you receive and verify if you can
2. Many models are not trained with the latest data, or at least not the ones currently available, as if takes time to train new models. There are exceptions such as those that can do a web lookup, but limitations do apply
3. These AIs do not know how tonuse Suno because, well, they are not privy to how it was trained

Yes i am aware of it. I first trained claude as a suno bot and loaded and trained it with all the available info about suno i could get. Then i trained it on specific json traffic by creating an analyzer tool with javascript in the console of the webbrowser and intercepted messages and code and tags and feed that into claude again.

Has anyone here submitted their songs to music platforms through distributors?

I’ve done this twice, and while both songs were approved for release, they were blocked from being included in YouTube Content ID, TikTok, and Facebook/Instagram’s monetization programs. The distributors claimed the audio contained ineligible and/or non-exclusive content.

I’m using a Pro plan on Suno, and the lyrics are completely original and written by me.

Has anyone faced a similar issue or found a solution?
Is it actually possible to release music made with Suno on platforms like YouTube and Instagram, especially with monetization enabled?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

You will have to look into the terms and conditions of the platforms you are submitting to to see what they allow.

It does not seem to be a matter of ownership, as that is done at the distributor stage and these platforms would tell you if they detected copyright material.

There is nothing Suno can help you with. If the issue related to ownership of the song, that is one item they could have helped you with, otherwise you are much better off contacting the platform's support (after verifying the platform's TOS to see if they accept AI music for distribution).

For example, SoundCloud Monetization Program explicitly states they do not accept AI songs (see #📚┃suno-school message), but I do believe they state it is okay to submit in their non-monetized program

Well, I should say that SoundCloud explicitly denies pure generated AI music. If you mixed it in a DAW after, likely to a relative significant or noticeable degree, that is another story

The distributor is not the issue, the problem is that the platforms that they are submitting the content to have different TOS where several denies AI music. Verify if the platform denies it. If they do not, contact your distributors support service and address your concern

Yeah it'd need to be trained on stems for everything and would probably be computationally expensive to generate from (and that cost would have to be passed on to users.) I've had some luck fooling "Cover" into generating a sort of fake stem by repeatedly prompting for the kind of instrument I want to isolate (or vocal) which sometimes works better than an external stem splitter, but doing that eats through credits and often has its own ideas of what it should do.

I did!!!! I just got in! So I have several email addresses some for junk mail filtering some for work, etc. and since it’s an iPhone one I just used my default email address typically for subscriptions but I guess at some point I use a different email address so selecting one it said it found an account and I was able to get in. Hmm, usually I see this issue relating to a spike in loading time when Suno is trying to stream.

Assuming no addons is interfering, wait approx 10 seconds. If it still does not play, try logging in through incognito (to see if there is an issue with the cache or extensions) or another browser (to seen if it is a browser issue).

This is assuming that this is a playback issue and not volume (which could be due multiple reasons like having Bluetooth connected to another device)

Hmm if YouTube works on your WiFi and Suno does not but both works on data, it may seem like an issue with your network.

This issue can be either Suno blocking you, which honestly would log you out if you were banned rather than this resouece restriction, or your ISP throttling the connection. Could be both if Suno is required to block certain geographical locations due to politics.

To rule out if your ISP is the issue, I suggest changing your DNS lookup to Cloudflare's service or whichever you prefer (just don't do Google's if you care about privacy lol).

If changing the DNS did not solve that issue, then it seems your IP may be potentially flagged or some other cause we did not figure out yet. In this situation, using a VPN or your data is the only solutions as far as I know.

For 2 days now, I've been able to log in to suno via the browser no problems, but once I'm there, most of the song images don't load and none of the songs will play. At least one other person on reddit has reported exactly the same thing, so it's not just me. Tried different browsers, and did the usual such as cleaning cache etc. It's the same on my laptop and my phone's browser. Any idea what's going on and how to sort it out?

1. make sure to listened to your original around the spot you're extending from for anything which seems like a silent spot of fade. Extensions will attempt to end quickly or even be silent. If need to, back into the song a few seconds to place your extend timemark manually.

2)somewhat a test, but is quite helpful: take one of your short 2 to 20 second extensions and extend from that. Either at the end, or just "pivot extend" by extending from the 00:01 sec spot. This often give a nice extension. Then we "Get Whole Song" and move on.

If wav downloading is an issue for every output, you should NOT also be able to re-download the same file and would need looking into what may have changed since yesterday.

If you CAN download the same file, then it may be focused on just that one output.

Or at the least, pick a random output file and try downloading a WAV.

It won't work (making a persona) on any derivative or extension made in the same chain as the original if origin has an uploaded vocal in the audio.

There are some excellent vocal characters now with 4.5 and 4.0. With experimenting you can come up with something nice or listen and choose another person's public persona.

You cant presently make a persona from an uploaded audio.

Whether you can do a cover of your own upload and get a voice similar to yours is still likely not going to be exact. But suno is random in that way. And it often gets nuances of your voice, though it could sound female, or older or more lilting. Who knows.

Back up the extension point a few seconds to help it from extending off a silent area.

As a hack, you might 1) extend off of one of those extensions at the 00:01 point. Or...
2) choose a short extension and then Get Full Song, to then try extending from THAT full song rendering.

Look it's not cool. I spent time writing the lyrics, setting everything up. I select 4.5. And I make about 10 versions waste a bunch of credits only to look and it says four. What gives that's not okay. And now when I go to try to make a song it puts it to 3.5 and won't let me change it. This is BS. I pay for those credits. I don't want to waste credits on something that I did not select. You guys really really need to do something about this mobile web version. It works fine from desktop web no problems....

Upload an audio of your voice (singing anything) then use that to Cover, Extend from it...Suno would generate songs based on that.
ONe thing to remember though, you can't create a Persona from it and can't publish anything based on that audio publicly on Suno site.

Emulating ones own voice has not been prominent with Suno. It's likely better to do that offline with another app.

With there being so many different styles of music and approaches to how to create there isn't one particular way to go about this. There are some available resources though to help you decide.

• web platform search: I use this regularly to curate ideas and approaches. standing on the shoulders of other's experiences can be super helpful. typing in the genre you are using there can open up a plethora of examples where you can find how many have approached similar things

Hi, I’ve encountered a very strange issue with a song I created using Suno. Originally, both the lyrics and the audio were completely fine, but now the audio seems to have changed on its own — across every platform where it's uploaded, including the file on my own computer. For example, a line that originally said “the fans are cheering” now sounds completely different and almost unintelligible.

This change has appeared on TikTok, Facebook, and even in the local file. Is it even possible for Suno to automatically alter the audio like this after it’s been created? Or what could have caused something like this?

I know it doesn’t make any sense — I don’t want to believe it myself — but I’m 100% sure the song was correct, because I would never have published it with a mistake like that. I listened to it at least a hundred times before uploading.

I’d really appreciate any help or explanation. Thank you! 🤯

Click on 3 dots menu of the song... Create > Extend ; then remove the lyrics and add in new ones.. and click Create, which would give you Part 2 song.... once you like one of the Part 2.. then go to the menu again... Create > Get Whole Song.

Hi, I recorded 3 songs this way and the voice is very faithful. It's true that it took several attempts. It processes better when it's raw sound without effects or reverb. 😉

When you upgrade you will be presented with the option displayed in the attached image. If you selected the latter of the two then your credits will not become available until the beginning of the next billing period. Do you remember seeing this and what you selected?

Yesterday I made a cover of a song and used a persona. The original song was in v4, the persona was in v4, and the new cover that was made is also v4. It turned out great. I’m trying to do some more, but now every time I select the same persona it switches to v4.5 and doesn’t give me to option to switch back to v4. I’ve tried making them in v4.5, but vocals do not stay true to the original.

Click on the 3 dots menu on the song, you'll see a menu pops up, then under Create menu there's Extend; use that first, and generate the Part 2 clips... then on each part 2 clip, go to 3 dots menu again, under Create , you should see Get Whole Song

Are you absolutely sure that you listened all the way through?
Just kidding aside as I'm sure you did... but that was the only thing that could possibly the reason, the mistake was in all the files, including the one on your local disk where you saved the file.

You select the section that the word was in, maybe the whole sentence.. as I don't think jsut a word is long enough for the replacement to work>
First check the setting (gear button above the waveform) to make sure you have "Manual Lyrics Replacment" turned on
ONce you selected the section... click Generate repleacement... that would then give you a next screen where you can type in the correct word, then hit generate
Then listen to those gens... once you like one of them, select it and hit Apply --> that will replace your section with the new gen.

Yes, I know it sounds strange — I can hardly believe it myself — but it’s right at the very beginning of the song, the first line, which I specifically worked hard on to grab the listener’s attention. I’m 1000% sure it was completely different and high quality before, which is why I don’t understand how it’s possible that the song has degraded across all platforms, including the backup file I saved on my own computer.

I feel like I’m going crazy right now, but the entire beginning has noticeably worsened in quality, and words that were previously clear are now unintelligible. I honestly can’t explain it, and I have no idea how something like this could happen — how it could be overwritten everywhere, including my backup.

And I also know this isn’t the first time this has happened to me, which is exactly why I started keeping local backups on my computer in the first place.

I listened to the song many times from start to finish, both directly in Suno and after downloading the file to my computer.
If it were a virus, fine — maybe it could overwrite the file on my computer.
But in that case, the song in the Suno library should still be correct — and that’s what doesn’t add up for me.

Is there a guide (if not I will probably make my own) on how to format text for custom lyrics to get Suno to generate music just right?

1 Example is using brackets such as [ or ] to tell it instructions that aren't lyrics, while parenthesis such as ( or ) are used for whispering or echoes, and periods such as . is used for staccato singing with large purposeful breaks between the lyrics.

I'd imagine using asterisks, exclamation points, and such can change tone or pitches, while commas or semicolons create delays or turses or such. Let me know cause I am working on a spreadsheet with all the various techniques I figure out 🙂

I'm used to having different vocals with a v3.5 or v4 in a v4.5 song. But can please anyone tell me why I have different vocals from one Persona in two v4 (or v4.5) song versions created simultaneously? It defeats the very purpose of Personas.

I read that personas created from songs made in v4 have to be used to create in v4 to work properly. Same goes with persona created from songs made in v4.5, they don’t work in other versions correctly.

It looks like someone seriously messed up the Persona feature. Because even a v4.5 song made from a v4 Persona didn't sound so different before, and now even two v4 songs made from one Persona have different vocals.

It defeats the purpose, yes. All purposes are warranted on having the perfect conditions.

I'll assume if I made a persona of a stratocaster guitar, occassionally it may have most features of the strat but give me a Les Paul sounding guitar. Once we add lyrics and possibly new prompts, we actually assume there may be differences.

The persona you create could also have the dormant propensity to make a second vocal given the right circumstances. Just as a dormant chromosome has the propensity to go active occassionally and give a baby 12 fingers. Not what you want but you learn to love it anyway.

More often than not, it'd be able to parse the lyric sections properly.

I am having an issue - and I am just stopping by to see if anyone else is having the same problem.

Despite using very specific prompt instructions such as:
"male vocals only – no female voice, no vocal shifts. Lead should be deep, aggressive, baritone voice. Do not use female vocals at any point."
...and also clearly stating this in the metadata block within the lyrics section:
VOCALS: Deep, raw male voice throughout. No female vocals.
...the model continues to inject female vocals, especially in the first or second verse, even when no part of the song requests or implies any gender variation.

I’ve tried multiple methods:

• Switching to concise, genre-based prompts
• Removing Personas
• Adjusting the lyrical tone to avoid “emotional triggers”
• Tagging verses individually with [Verse - Male Vocal Only]
• Isolating single verses for testing

Yet, the model injects female vocals.

"no x" can sometimes bring about x, its best to keep things for negation in the exclude though i've heard 4.5 is a little better about that

and then, i'm curious how many times you found it only returned female? also, wanting especially deep male vocals can be hard. in the style, using "baritone" very early is helpful

I literally tried everything. And I do mean absolutely everything. The only thing that actually managed to get rid of the female vocals was using a persona from a different song I made. Both songs are in the metal-genre, where as the Persona-one is a much more "Sports-chant-stadium-type" song, and the other one is something with a much darker lyrical context and sound. Not even the Exclude Styles-box worked. I even tried running the lyrics completely clean from any directions in terms of vocal directives in meta-tags and just using meta-tags for structuring. No result.

Think I did 7-8 iterations before I finally gave up.

And I have done 10 or so songs this week, with zero issues.

Two.

At one point I had [Verse 1 - Male Vocals] followed by the lyrics. The first half was male vocals. Second half of the verse just suddenly decided to go female. Then [Chorus - Male Vocals] injected female choir vocals instead, followed by [Verse 2 - Male Vocals] injecting female vocals for the first half, and male vocals for the second half. Like, it was all over the place.

this is perhaps an unremarkable number of failures if there is by any coincidence anything at all unexpectedly leaning female, but it's mildly interesting to have that many failures to get male vocals from metal

I even tried rewriting the first verse, to roughen up the wording to test if maybe the AI reacts to specific context, for an example - I noticed that during most of my runs, the chorus had the word "He" and "him" (even though, the entire songs context is about a man, from that mans own perspective) - the chorus always came out with female vocals. So I swapped every word in the lyrics from "He/him" to "Me" or any other shape of the word "me", to remove any genderizing out of the equation, still - no result.

As I said, the only thing that even remotely did anything was adding a persona from another song, but that screwed up alot of other things instead

when you say you charged it up to test the ai you are still inside the fine generations that didn't contain accidentally a negation of a keyword

Anybody figure out how to use AI to generate lyrics that don't sound cheesy?

I've been thinking of trying to give it a book and telling it to write lyrics from the perspective of the book. Because I think the lyrics get generic and cheesy when you don't give it enough contexts, so maybe a novel will be enough context.

like, instead of labeling with male and female, just say "male vocal" in the style and have only that

Yes. I tried running a prompt not mentioning any genderized vocals, I've tried running it with MALE VOCALS in all caps and nowhere in any prompt or meta-tag did it ever say "female" "her" or "she", not in the lyrics, not in prompt, not in meta-tags. Zero. Still came out female vocals.

You can generate the lyrics as a starting point or basic idea and then modify yourself

AI-generated lyrics are going to usually be quite bad

It's just kind of hard to work with neon lights and concrete jungle everywhere in the damn lyrics
