Use of any unauthorized API will eventually get you banned because Suno is still actively searching for such things. They still have a lot of hijackers using their services.

Since Suno does not have an API released, use of any of those will you see will carry that factor (and it is against the TOS. In addition, depending on how it is accessed, it can be breaking a few US Laws)

I mean, you could use the credits. What billing will do is basically change you over to the monthly plan ($10/month) and refund you $86 of the $96 you paid, from what I had seen mentioned here before.
It is not like you are going from premium to pro where the credit difference matters ^_^

Why does suno always on the end of the track smashes the compressor to the max of a song.

I have so many good instrumental house tracks finally with suno and with every song it just cramps up the compressor to the max and sqeeshes the baseline beat and melody together as a tosti at the end of a song

thats usually the system trying to keep the sound consistent even with the degredation that happens. for me a cover usually fixes that if songs sound inconsistent throughout.

What helps is sometimes just cut the track in half and then choose extend and then its a 50/50 % change that the short extend doesn't fall under the algoritm of the tosti

I had the same issue. What I did was cut the smart prompt I liked, hit the trash icon by it to delete the entry, and pasted in that style - works that way.

V4.5 is in beta, right? Does anyone know if the model is still being updated or if they’re moving on to v5? Because I’ve been using this version and, honestly, I’m hooked. But the instruments and backing vocals are still pretty bad sometimes. I can’t make sense of the instruments, everything sounds messy and confusing. :/

Correct, 4.5 is in beta which means that the model can change until it is marked as released, which is when the model is frozen and untouched unless some major bug is discovered.

In the past, there normally is a big model update two weeks after the beta version is released.

One thing I noticed a lot that helps with the music and vocal is to use specific subgenres rather than leave it as a broad genre, the latter having a lot more diverse patterns it can get confused with.

As for the vocals, try to use more descriptive keywords like smooth, cheery, gruff, melancholic, etc.

Very interesting explanation. I was actually using broad styles and genres, usually three or four at a time, which is probably why I’ve been having this issue with the instruments sounding confusing and sometimes unrecognizable. As for the vocals, I’ve been having problems with the backing vocals, they sound really weird and still a bit robotic. I tend to use a lot of Teen Pop or broad genres that involve more than one vocalist.

Thanks for the tips, but I really hope that in the next update before the official release they fix this. A lot of people are noticing the same issue with the instruments sounding confusing and hard to understand.

This has to do with the lyrics/metatags on your song, edit the lyrics and realign them and it should fix the issue.

They should turn the filter off, saying 'sacrifice yourself' no matter the context flags the song and it refuses to gen. The sanitization is insane, making songs E+ stifles any and all creativity. If language is the issue just put an R filter on the site and if a member has age lower than 18 or 16 don't show them those songs. There is absolutely no reason to use a word filter that doesn't understand context, and actually, no filter even if context is understood as anyone should be allowed to make any songs they please period.

Got a new problem just now: When extending a V4.5 song the resulting extensions are V3.5 instead of V4.5. Tried a few times, always got V3.5. Last time I used extend, like 12 hours ago, this did not happen. Reported to #🪲┃bugs-web

Also when trying to use some personas from yesterday, which were created from songs having longer texts in Styles and Exclude fail and I get an error saying "An Error Occured, Tags Too Long".

After about 50 songs created with version 4.5, I confirm the improvement in the quality of voices and instruments and the greater respect for the indications given in the prompt. [About 4.5] One detail...

There's one small detail missing at the beginning of each creation: the ability to choose the creation time, up to a maximum of 4 minutes.

I know it's possible to extend it later, but in 4.5, my music varies between 1 minute 50 seconds and 2 minutes 45 seconds, which is too short for my taste.

Whereas in 4.0, I more often have longer versions, and it's more interesting to remaster them in 4.5 later.

What are you wanting to do with the separated auto tracks within Suno? Most talk about using offsite in their DAW. Unless Suno has other edit tools like splicing or overlays, what would you do with just a guitar track, or oboe? I can only see drums/percussion as something we could presently work with within Suno.

Its not just the Suno stem splitter. Its them all. Only way I see it to work within a DAW is to import 2 "full song" tracks. High pass filter the 1st and low pass filter the second till you feel the sweet spot. Then you keep the body and vibe of the original suno version. Then import the vocal track (if useful). At last layer your own sounds on top (drums, synths etc). In Suno`s current audio quality stems thats the only way for me. I have totally given up working with stems from suno tracks. Waste of time. Vocal tracks is the only stem that actually could work, but its a one out of 1000 percentage. But too stem the instrumentation further. My lord. Its a mess.

A good comment with its points. I was focusing on what is one's intent on wanting more individual tracks within Suno? People keep asking for them, but seem to not say why. In Suno there are no layering tools, no pass filters, no EQ, no etc., nor would I foresee there ever be. So there are other apps that focus on splitting out stems at the moment, none perfect, but it's their focus as opposed to Suno's focus.

Every tool included is a bonus, yes, but some are more novel (bells and whistles) if they have little use within the app.
Percussion stem is the only additional one that seems more versatile to use, for instance, to make a persona from and add beats by using cover/persona to just written word, or a melody or a cappella output.

I misinterpreted "stem pack" to mean a pack of several separated entities, more than just separating out vocals . . . .and not mean "more cleaner separation " from from result of what we have now when separating out vocals. My bad.

As long as I can "clean" the two tracks when needed, I've been taking advantage of the overbleeds with making new outputs that are picking up the motifs and melody found in the vocal overbleeds that wouldn't normally be found in a clean instrumental, for instance.

Depends on genre, you might get cleaner tracks than others...
I read some discussions before here that it's the way Suno build their track... the process itself prevents a clean separation, regardless of what tools you're using.

I know AI-generators are always sort of slot machines. v4.5 hits big when it does, but it hits less frequently. I hope that opinion makes sense.

Still should check with your bank. Some banks did stop payments to Suno due to high chargeback/cancelation rates on the bank side which raised their flags.

When a payment failure occurs, your account is softlocked, unable to use the credits deposited and so on.

The way to remove this would be to update the billing details so Stripe tries again or contact billing to cancel the subscription status for you, reverting you back to the free plan. Of course, if payment was successful on your end, you can forward the evidence to the billing team and they will investigate their end.

Note that billing department typically takes two business days for a response. The working hours are in Eastern USA time and they do not work weekends.

Stripe is the one in charge of payment processing so, either there may have been an interruption on their side for the connection, or something else happened.

Always best to clear up any potential issue on your end first because that is likely what they will ask you to do first - check with your bank if they cancelled it on their side.

I've developed a process for making suno give me cleaner audio. but again its spotty on if it actually works so may be just a placebo. the best thing i can say is shoot for something clean that isnt exactly perfectly mastered and them master it in a daw/use bandlab's auto mastering.

Hi, I'm experiencing a problem with Suno that seems to be a bug. For the second time now, after creating a new song, the result ends up being a strange remix of the previously generated song, including its melody. It's a very odd situation because I'm not touching the old track at all—I'm simply creating a new one. The only link between them is that I'm using the same persona.

I literally get an error message everytime I want to extend a base song with persona since yesterday. They said they look into it but I heard nothing since. I retry every now and them but still get the same error message, cant even create anything with that persona.

In case no one answered this yet, the workaround I encountered was to reselect the persona.
This is done by clearing the selected persona from the drop-down in the Create menu and select it again. It appears some variables are lost when carried over from before

Another common issue is if people try to extend an upload with vocal-like audio detected - Suno does not allow that (nor making the derivatives public) due to impersonation/copyright infringement concerns

A common cause I see for this is if people try to upload a copyright material. Not only is it illegal and can put you at legal liability l, it is also against Suno TOS

From previous conversations I had seen here, people report that this happens if you use similar/identical lyrics to the source of the Persona. I do not know about the style but I would not be surprised that similar styles would cause a similar issue.

I think someone mentioned to vary the top line to help make it more distinct? So you could try inserting a short intro then break away, making a (somewhat) disposable element that you can crop/fade out if suitable

It looks like the melody and lyrics of the song is saved along with the persona. In addition, when I select a persona, the value from the song on which I based the persona immediately appears in the “Style description” field. I am using v4.5. From what I remember it was on v4 that I didn't have this problem, I generated a whole album, each song with a different melody. I changed the text to a completely different one and the same thing happens.

We as users test ourselves to understand how V4.5 works, which creates a lot of wasted credits.

If you have a specific subgenre, best to use that without mentioning the broad genre so you can narrow the pattern pool down.

E.g. "Death Metal" and not "Metal, Death Metal"

If you want to make fusions, you can define different sub/genres for melody & rhythm if you want an overall mix, or describe the transition in the 4.5 style prompt

One of the styles I love using in 4.5 style prompt is "J-Pop influenced EDM", you can tell what that is about 😛 Not sure how well that works in the past models. You get the idea of how you can try to get a specific style or at least narrow it down to it

wow i am having some serious problems with 4.5: 1. personas are practically useless because it just tries to remake the original song the persona was based on almost every time. massive and annoying waste of credits. (v4 was doing this as well quite often but in 4.5 the problem got much worse.) 2. extensions have gotten much shorter than before. I just generated 2 extensions that were only 45 seconds long. I asked for an extended instrumental in the meta tags and even gave specific instructions but suno just ended the song quickly. 3. when i generate from a persona with 3.5 then remaster in 4.5, the resulting song shows it was made with 4.5, but if i extend it or make a cover of it, the resulting tracks say they were made in 3.5 rather than 4.5. What the heck is going on? It seems like personas, covers, and extensions are all broken in 4.5.

Well in replacing you can achieve that, might take a few generations though to get the exact same delivery again (2-600), replace only 3 seconds at a time, if that should only be half a sentence then it's fine, you can replace the other part in a 2nd iteration

Great for major scales. Sucks for minor scales. Currently trying to do some sad and melancholic song using a minor scale and it only brings out my chemical romance-kind of stuff... Not the death metal melancholic touch to it. (Although all in all. Suno doesn't seem to work well with metal tracks)

Adjusting tempo is impossible. If you tell it 280 BPM and reuse the prompt to 180 the results won't vary in the tempo. Sure if you spend 1000 credits with 280 BPM you'll get it. But yeah...

I've had good experience with chromatic riffs though. Arpeggios also seems to work well if Suno gets the right scale into it.

I think i won't renew or at least I'll move out from the metal genre unless I want to make some epic metal stuff that it does seem to nail it nicely.

You may not wish for a melody to show up, to sing over, but you can also first do a Cover of your instrumental stem, and typical cover twice, but of course you only have a limit of about 4 minutes as well as covers may change chord progressions and minor things. The purpose of this though is to recognize the vocal bleedovers as "instruments" and generate them into another instrument. Obviously this then can add a bit of the melody or motif into the instrumental.

If you do this and change style prompts to something like vocaloid, though, you can get odd and sometimes interesting new vocalization. Nog exactly what you want for a karaoke track.

So, I agree, you'd be much easier to use another platform or even just download the WAV file and use a voice swap app.

In case you were unaware, once a subscriber exhausts all their credits, they get 50 credits a day at 0000 UTC, like how the free planners do.

Your subscription will renew at the time you had signed up. So if it was at 10 PM, your renewal is at 10 PM the next month

I also recommend people not to use broad genres but to give specific subgenres. That tends to improve quality and gets a style similar to what you want.
You can try plucking in quality words like High Quality, Vinyl, etc. to narrow the pattern pool to those descriptors

It's not about styles. It's about a prompt for generating lyrics. In the screenshot I showed above from the past (which is still the screenshot you find in the Suno Help) you were able to enter up to 3000 characters to describe how the lyrics are generated and then you were able to click on "Make Random Lyrics". Then the text you entered seemed to be the prompt used for the lyrics. So I were able to fine-tune generated lyrics which I am not able to do with 200 characters in the new "Full Song" view.

The Extension tool in the Edit section isn't extending the tracks - it's generating replacement samples. Anyone else notice this?

In the past I could paste lyrics in the lyric box and click make lyrics, to see if it would make "better" lyrics than what I had. That was a bit fun, but mostly it would spit out the same lyrics with only a few unwelcomed changes.

If you had some favourite songs come from this, then feed 10 of those song lyrics from your playlists into chatgpt, have it evaluate them sinutaneously for your style you like, then give it a suggestion, of as many words you like, to write some new lyrics for your next banger. This seems more in line with what you have wanted to do in Suno. This was before they introduced ReMi. After that, i don't remember it being able to access it anymore.

Clicking on that Make Random Lyrics button would send us to a new page where we only have the 200 character limit. It never had both 3000 or even 1000 limit AND immediately write random lyrics when clicking the Write Random Lyrics button. Once Remi was introduced it changed at that point that I recall.

We can still get it occassionally respond as an LLM - but it doesn't help. 🙃

you need to change your approach or build out with the small extends that are free if any are acceptable

by change your approach i mean like trying to get bunny ear antennae to work, wiggle the point of extending, wiggle the prompt, make subtle acceptable changes or try drastic differences in extend point

but building out with free extends often works eventually to get longer extends

If not an error, it CAN give short extensions under 8 seconds which will credit back a refund. These are sometimes caused by just extending from the very end of the previous output, often where there is a silent area that Suno doesnt do well to extend.. So it's suggested to go back on the timemark a second or few from the end of the output and try again.

If the extensions persist, at least , as a test, try to extend off of one of the short "refunded" extensions. Anything BUT 00:01 timemark. See if it "releases" that trend of short extensions.

If the extensions are all silent anyway, this won't be productive.

Try those two things first. Then come back.

All my songs in my library now have messed up vocals, which are now very quiet and sound like their in an echo chamber, and the music itself sound like it's playing backward. Telling it "same as X" or similar never had a noticeable impact for me

When I need the same melody again and it doesn't work I usually reuse the exact same lyrics as in the part which has the melody I want and then I replace maybe the last three words first to the new lyrics and then the first few words like several steps while preserving parts of the old melody and text for a moment

For example if the first verse with the desired melody has the line
"My soul for the wolves, my eyes for the night"

And you want to replace it into
"Your rage echoes deep, your agony thrives"
Or whatever, an intermediate version could be
"Your rage echoes deep, my eyes for the night"

I'd double check the version you're using in create to make sure you haven't accidently selected a lower version, which will then default to that version every time until you change it again if you haven't already checked, but I'm sure you have. Otherwise, try seeing what happens when doing an instrumental on a lower version and then go back to version 4.5, maybe it will trick it.

Remaster will attempt to "upgrade" a previous models instrumentation and vocals to the newer models quality, using the exact same vocalist and arrangement and instruments. Cover will loosely follow the original songs arrangement but will generally adlib stuff like change the vocalist or instrumentation while still being sort of the same melody.

This happens to me as a rule if I try to make replacement near the end of a song or even in middle of the song if I set it not to fit the timing. On top of that whatever it generates is junk, often with gibberish singing and some lunatic episodes.

There is no way to force Suno to follow exactly, but you can prevent it from drifting by replacing a few words at a time.. I usually only replace or to 3 words and I only select the section that has a line previous and a line after the change. I will generallt have to generate 3 or 4 times to get the vocal inflections I am looking for but the melody and instrumantation generally stays teh same. If you are trying to change an entire verse, thats going to be difficult to accomplishg with a sigificant adlib drift

There is little tricky part, the 4.5 had the best melody but the 4.0 little changed it. Maybe I have the blow up the song. That is, extract the stems... but I think it makes it worse.

TL;DR: Duets are not easily to get consistently in a one-shot. You can improve it by extending for each gendered part, or better yet, use external tools for vocal cloning, swap genders, and select which tracks play when.

you may be "the only one" depending on how many gens you do on the exact one. While I get bad Remasters in the since of a often a warbled distortion at the beginnings of outputs especially, I usually can run enough to find one that sounds just fine, if I choose. So it's subjective enough to be resolved by running more than a couple of gens and objective enough to say it does occur.

That said, sometimes i just forget the Remaster if I get a warbled one, go to replace and change out the intro to perhaps lose a synth or chord that has caused remaster to twitch, then run a remaster on the new version. Actually saves about 30 credits doing the latter.

BTW: for online payments, in general, I suggest using a credit card rather than debit.

If an issue occurs (e.g. compromised card, scammed, etc.), the banks are more proactive at investigating the issue if credit was involved more than debit.
This is because the bank pays when you use credit (which you pay back) while debit goes into your account directly

card blocks are well... blocks on the card, they dont just disappear after a day. Suno will likely be needed to contact as there is no direct contact to Stripe. Stripe is client/merchant based. So we are Suno customer, not Stripe. Stripe is just a servicer and bodyguard and leave it up to the merchant to mediate the issues. Ive read user say "Stripe said this...." so hoping I'd be wrong about that, but I havent seen evidence of a means of contacting Stripe unless you are a merchant needing their service.

If anyone can prove me wrong, I'm all for it.

Just to put things in perspective, most payment services are the same. Just a middle man and security filter and leave it to the Merchant to mediate.

The producer tags thing is getting rediculous, in one of the lyrics in my song it raps "I keep secrets tucked like a switchblade" and it says "i keep secrets" is a producer tag and therefor doesn't generate a song .-.

I could see the sentence "i keep secrets" being used in countless types of songs, you can't copyright a generic sentence. This is just getting annoying to deal with
