What may be the cause is the resolution of the picture BECAUSE, when I zoomed in the teeniest using that zoom in function of Suno when uploading a picture, the image was uploaded (before that, I kept getting that network error).

What many people do not know is that you can prompt genres in a metatag as well! Usually used for things like a rapped verse using, well, [Verse][Rap], [Rapped verse], etc. IIRC- been a long time since I did that.

If you want to do a Mashup of two styles (e.g. one genre for rhythm, another for melody), you can specify those terms! I usually do "Fusion of [X melody][Y rhythm]" as the result sounds better (to me) than having the "fusion of" part omitted. That is what it sounds like to me, but honestly, I have no idea if the AI knows/learned that. All I know is that I get a result towards more of what I wanted with that than [X][Y] by themselves. Could be a simple placebo with RNG and all 🤷

The tags are moreso for one-shots or where you want one part to stand out from the rest of the song (e.g. a rapped verse)

For Extending, you do not need to define the (sub)genres in the tags if you are always extending at each portion, as ending the style prompt influences the genres much more strongly than the metatags

For one-shots, the style of the music should be the main underlying music you would like, if the metatag fails to be read properly. If they are very distinct genres, you may want to omit the genres in the style prompt itself (as it has heavy weight)

Also, make sure you look up the specific subgenres of what style you want. Being that specific not only gives you what you want with less RNG but typically sounds better with the more concise musical patterns from the smaller pool size.

I love using https://rateyourmusic.com for their genre hierarchy/list but there are many out there - or ask a chat AI to describe the subgenre of your favorite song or the description of what you want (just be sure to be critical of the answer and verify. AIs can lie to you with confidence).

Hello. I have been unable to log in to suno normally for the past few days, so I sent an email but did not receive a response. I paid for a paid membership on suno on April 18. However, when I try to log in now, it says I am not a paid member, and the ID displayed is the one from before I made the changes. I sent an email including the payment information and the musician's name (my updated ID) from the music files I created with the paid membership. How much longer do I need to wait?

Sorry, I got distracted with other matters. One th8ng I noticed, besides the genres in the style prompt which heavily influences the output, were how complex your metatags were.

As a rule thumb, you want to aim for approx. 3 keywords per song structure. There is nothing wrong with having more, it just decreases the chances of getting what you want with more different things sought (and Suno currently does not understand BPM but it can do slow/mid/fast tempo)

Ah, that situation is typically caused when you do sign up, not sign in. I recommended they switch the wording to "log in" (and verify account existance) to avoid issues like this a long time ago to avoid this issue...

Ah, issues with Single Sign-On can be complicated because it could be an issue with the service you are logging through, with Suno, or both.

In Discord SSO case, I have seen people complaining about getting an error, something like not allowed to access this page?

Oh BTW, when I said 3 keywords, I meant sets, not just words. Suno has weights involved, each term separated by a colon is treated as a set, and they all have equal weights.

This is why if you repeat something like "male,male,male" is more likely to give you male vocals, because you are skewing the weights more towards the male keyword.

In each set, the highest weight is on the first word and decreases as it goes down. So "pop jazz EDM" will likely be more pop than "jazz pop EDM", and those two will be more like a mix compared to what you would get when doing "pop, jazz, EDM"

Unfortunately there is really no other recourse that I know of at the moment and those are the only contacts with the Suno Team I know of. The other Team members ignores their DMs because they getting random people messaging them all the time AFAIK

Extend can be very tricky because the AI has to relearn the music (as there is no memory of the previous generation kept), which is why extensions are half the base gen length - the other half (2 min for 3.5+4.0) is reserved for the relearning process.

If your song had degradation present within the last 2 minutes from the Continue From point, the relearning process will pick that up and, most of the time, will likely amplify it.

The other issue is if you had a "loud" song generated which is common in metal and rock songs. Needless to say, amplification sucks

One alternative I found was to specify a specific subgenre which usually works, likely due to a smaller pool and similar styles leading to more consistent and closer learning patterns, compared to broad genre coverage.

If you do not know what subgenre to go after, I often slap an anti- to it (e.g. anti-metal). See what happens when you do that 🙂

For example, I have one where I had done a few extends of a talking/rap section of my song a few months ago, and they worked fine but I left it and came back to it yesterday, and now not only has the vocal quality gone down completely, but the words are all over the place and have terrible pacing and not following structure (similar to what v3 does)

If you were wondering why I was asking about v2: when people fail the captcha test a few times, their account gets flagged and one sign is quality par to v2 when making new gens.
The only way to fix that issue is getting in touch with Support/Mike B and having them investigate your account (for no TOS violations like using bots) and manually clear the flag

Something 100% changed over the past weekend. I produce original dubstep/future bass/EDM music. I used to be able to extend uploads and get some really cool ideas and sounds. Now extending an upload with “instrumental” notched literally does not work 100% of the time. You have to turn instrumental off and even then the synths are dumbed down . Quality is still decent but everything is dumbed down. Oh well I had fun with it while it lasted, it’s causing me to work harder for my original synth sounds now.

By dumbed down I mean the synths transitions, filters , swells , sidechain, etc. etc. more so just sustained saw stabs anymore nothing interesting lol

What I’ve noticed isn’t lack of quality instead i noticed a lack of comprehension/replication in advanced synthesizer techniques, and I produce and prompt A LOT. For example you could upload a skrillex song (an example I only upload original content to get vocals) and it would replicate something similar prior to Sunday. Now, it won’t replicate it or repeat it. It seems to dumb it down and make the synthesizing into basic stabs. This could be because i primarily used the instrumental feature , cropped , and then added vocals with an extend but still….my results are consistently different ever since sunday.

You cant believe how right you are about it being dumbed down.. If i analyze a song before and after start of april I can see that song before use 8-12 song genres that the analyze can pinpoint but song after have moments in the song 1-3 seconds and towards the end of the songs that are being generated using 1-3 genres only so this dumbing down of using less genre to smooth out the "bad sounds" is part of or the problem to a lot of random quality issues

are you approaching 300bpm or using synth layering? that could make it hard for suno to do anything but dumb it down, if the example is profoundly unique, or rather, the more profoundly it is unique, the more it will land in poor quality solutions from the model, spaces that lack guidance or have it interfered with. the lowest fuss way to handle with bpm too fast or an instrument with an exotic wave shape is to "pick" the "nearest" solution space that can assert themselves clearly

every single style combo will have a different influence on the model, and some may be inherently impossible to land directly between

depending on how contradictory guidance works

if you think of each style as a vector, the model will try the sum, and in summing all those vectors it will cancel any that are too quiet or contradictory

further the model will not have nodes responsible for fixing the genre

it would have an abstract mapping

what helps with this is strict attention to proportioning influence by the volume of total prompt

make the hard thing to get the primary focus across the style, if that doesnt work you can still try negation of an antonym, meta tags, and lyrical content, all contribute

2. Upon hitting the Create button two songs begin generating simultaneously. At most you can have 5 generative actions (10 songs) working concurrently.

3. Sure you can do that, you do own the rights to it (with a paid plan). Mind you, if they are adding onto your song using Suno and do not have a paid account they will not retain any rights to that.

4. Yep this is doable too. Please reference the Can I separate the vocals and instruments from my songs? portion of the Knowledge Base shared below. You will need to add your/your friend's voice in post using the editor of your choice.

5.Yes. You will have rights to what you create when using a paid plan.

Usually when that happens to me, I revise my prompt for a more specific __sub__genre.

The issue with large, broad genres is that there can be very diverse patterns so being more narrow will likely get you better results due to the similar musical output pattern and smaller pool size

So remastering to v4 does improve the quality slightly but doesn't take away all the muffling or hollow sound so there will still be editing to be done I believe, maybe over time and enough thumbs up itll improve

I see potential in 4.5. I’ll be doing a lot of testing and reevaluating how I prompt , it definitely comprehends obscure genre/subgenre combinations WAYYY different. Example melodic dubstep, rocktronic is sounding way better than it was in v4. Subscribers have wav file generation, which covers some of the higher frequency lost in MP3s IIRC, but the bit rate is a limitation of the model itself (due to the quality of the sources?).

So even if they increased the bir rate for the MP3, the output would sound the same due to that limiting factor, making it a waste of space to increase beyond what it gives

I work a lot with seniors, writing songs about their lives. So I do a lot of big band, barbershop, doo wop, bluegrass and country swing. I've noticed that over the past couple of weeks, the quality has gotten way worse. It's kind of like it ran out of fresh ideas to make nice sounding, genre-based, musical, traditional songs and has replaced them with unlistenable, musical wrecks. Since I am working with several clients, I really don't care if some of my songs sound similar. I wish there was some way to teach Suno that quality comes first and that it doesn't have to be entirely original on each tune. Maybe it needs some sort of a setting to turn originality off and on because when it runs out of ideas, it really sucks eggs. I haven't tried 4.5, but I would suspect it will run with the same orientation towards composition. Any ideas will be welcome! I'm largely wasting my time at present.

For those interested and annoyed by the muffled/muddy sound. I just tried Bandlab for some basic remastering (as I am away from home and can't do it properly), remastering is pretty easy on the generated songs and you can bump up the quality significantly with even a simple remaster

I have just ran a search on song length and cannot find anything specific to my query, so appreciate any help and assistance.

I have a game streaming channel and want to generate songs, using the custom feature, with specific repetative lyrics and have each song being a minimum of 4 minutes long. Roughly half of my creations are about between 50-60 seconds long, and end abruptly.

I cannot see any way of setting minimum (or maximum) song length.

Appreciate any help and advice.

Also, I really like some of the creations I have made that have lyrics, and would really enjoy the same creation without the lyrics. Is there such a feature that can remove the lyrics from an already created song?

You can use metatags for example: Mod:Dm>Cmajor under each verse or spell modulate out: Am modulate to D major etc... I am still experimenting with modulations. Hope that helps a little.

1. Did you try refreshing the page?
2. Are you in Create? If so, make sure you are in the correct workspace
3. Did you accidentally dislike? The filter in Create hides disliked songs by default (you can change this)
4. Try checking your library where all songs are listed
5. Still not there? Check your trash can (top right icon in the library). You can restore it, just do not perm. delete it
6. Try using the search function- though be aware it is finicky. It is case sensitive and I recommend using a unique word present in the lyric or title. (*Please see the note for the bug involved with searching)
7. Were they generating for a much longer period of time than usual (with time still --:--)? Chances are they had failed to complete generation and you would have received your credits back for that generation. (Unrecoverable in most cases unless you had their UUID or streamed the song without changing that page, than there might be a chance to save them)

* If you were unaware: if you searched for something then swapped the tab and came back, the library only shows the searched results but the search bar is empty.
To fix that particular issue, you just need to add a letter in the search bar then delete it

• vocals are pretty bad. sometimes off key, sometimes warbly like they are in a fish bowl.
• Audio quality is pretty bad, most renders sound muddy or low resolution
• Guitars are better but the more "crunchy" you get (Thrash Metal, Death Metal, Hard core" the more they sound like midi or a synth
• 4.5 doesn't like prompts. it gets it 80% of the time but then it just kinda...goes off on its own thing ruining the song.

The thing that actually annoys me is the fact that I basically want a couple of months ago that if they don't fix the loudness processing side of things, each new model will get progressively worse... And that's exactly what we are seeing. The way it's drifting after couple of minutes is a clear sign that suno team still has not understood the issue. Holy moly.

It's just unbelievable how a tiny flaw with the way you measure loudness at (neural) codec's input and output to and from the model... How this little lack of expertise is the sole reason why half of the songs have loudness issues in addition to drifting because you can't really fix loudness issues by cutting certain frequency ranges which make it sound bad and also makes loudness drift awfully...

I wonder if they have ever even tested to see how actual perceived loudness changes after you do a simple and code and decode from audio to tokens and back without doing any other processing. You can instantly see what's happening.

It's been exactly 14 months when loudness problems became apparent with 3.5. and they still have not fixed it. They have tried to work around it not actually fix the root cause.

Long story short. While the model is awesome and creative, I can't afford to spend hundreds of credits on trying to get a decent sound out of the otherwise cool tracks with great composition and whatnot.

I chopped it up to the last 50 seconds of it, and did an "Extends" on it. I used Suno's new "Give my prompt a boost" that unpacks your prompt (I liked what it had to say). Here's what it gave me:

Reused Riff: I like the improvements I'm hearing in sound quality with v4.5. Yes, there is room for improvement still (of course), but I'm appreciative. That being said, I've just had nearly half of ten generations opening with the same guitar riff from one of my songs published months ago, and that's really frustrating.

OK, I don’t know if anyone has Encountered this problem yet with 4.5, but out of 10 songs generated with my persona - 5 of them had blended original sound from the first song made by this persona. It’s literally copying the melody into the new song. It’s like five songs wasted.

ok- I think I need to understand better how personas work. I assumed that personas were a way to get singer voice consistency, which is how I've been using them.

But in 4.5 it seems like the weighting is even on other elements? I just recreated about a dozen songs that I had in 4.0 using the same prompts and the same persona as the original songs, and they all have this weird "uh-oh-oh-uh-oh" thing happening in the background like the whole band is backing the lead singer while he sings the actual lyrics. And that sound even carries through into the instruments - I just had a saxophone play the same musical phrase, and earlier I had a guitar play it.

It'd be fine if it popped up in a few rare cases - it's the same band - I could see them doing some common thread in the album for funsies. But not every song.

Any ideas to try?
