I've got great luck with Personas, with the sole exception of trying them to make a new version of the song they were based on. Like, really amazing luck. But apparently, trying to get them to remake their root song sends them around the bend, hard.

a hint from me: a great way to make good songs when you have good instrumentation but not good vocals is to export the stems, take the voice out, mix it again in the DAW and then make an upload and remix and extend.. it is enough to have a part of 10-20 secs... I use a lot of time 32 clips from Udio

🤘I realized that the stacked extension issue was reliably present, which lead to the idea of "Terminator Extensions" #1256301881966198805 message Shameless plug for my workflow thread (which I don't have the ability to tidy up 😅 apologies for the clutter)

By extending from an extension, we try to ensure the new clip can't hear the earlier segments, and by limiting the context to 1s, we're effectively giving it no context for the current song, so it's easier to influence different directions in the song.

I LOVE negative prompting -- while throwing everything & the kitchen sink into the style prompts can really mess things up in terms of how your desired prompts are weighted (like adding "reggae, reggae, reggae, reggae, reggae, opera" is likely to give you reggae, but it'd likely ignore "opera" at that point)

BUT you can go wild with negative prompts -- I've only seen a few instances of bleedthrough, but still "within par" -- man, negative prompting is a lifesaver

With Udio you can make is INDISTINGUISHABLE even for a good producer.. I tested it. but I mean a really good song made from Udio.
Not the 90% of the stuff which is sung like a drunk vocalist... so you need luck and time to get a proper singing with Udio but you get it once in a while.
My producer has amazing ear... and gear.

When doing noise removal I take the noise isolation and flip it then chain it to the audio channel/s to push down like compressors when the noise happens...I love using spectral analyzers

Could be worth using the library search to look for a style prompt or word included in the lyrics -- needs to be spelled exactly the same to trigger the search properly, and it might not show up in chronological order in the search results.

Beyond that, unfortunately there's a chance that songs can fail while they're processing, and if that were the case, I'm not sure there's a way to recover the song. It's not maliciously or intentionally done.

Cover, or Cover of a Cover, can often be used to do a kind of upscale. You can get a cover that is almost exactly the same but has a clear voice or less distortion. You still may need additional tools, but it could get you closer

On my page if I have a copyright at the top it means I wrote the lyrics.

Suno's generation is more for playing around. It does give you a basic layout though

When you make a persona, Suno retains a small clip of the original song and that appears to be subtracted from the generation length, but it’s the reason the clips can sound the same.

Sounds like that persona uses a context clip 35s in length

Does it not? If you run (connect, call up) the persona first, then call up , say, an old ballad so that the lyrics and style prompts replace anything the persona might have thrown in.... does it not now stylize the song as a ballad and just put in the persona as a styled vocalist?

I actually thought it should work like that and this is actually the process I've done: first added the persona, then replace the style box... I had the feeling the voice sounded a little different and so the "style" but you actually made a good point... probably I need to do more experiment

One, I pulled in the styles from the old song, got a somewhat baritone generic voice..... the other two I used the style prompts of the persona and got more the style of the persona.

There's been a few anecdotes of members getting the same time stamp lengths, so it's not un-expected. Just hard to find a pattern to trace the reason, other than coincidence and using the same lyrics might get the same arrangement, thus Suno forces into the same time length as a means of not changing a good thing when you got it.

#💡┃suggestions-web is a great place for future ideas about making Suno better, but you might be able to affect success by ensuring that you’re only giving Suno the segments that you want to create a persona from — if you have a hard song with a soft intro, make sure you clip out the hardest sounding segments and make the persona on THAT.

But if I use a persona of a hard rapper named Emily, it might rap the whole thing? And if I remove the rap part of the song, the song could go back to sounding like a religiously gospel song even with Emily persona?

After selecting a group of gens in your trash list, you click on the menu [ . . . ] of one of them [do NOT right-click] , then choose "Remove permanently." It will then confirm you have removed 23 files or however many you chose.

Is there an efficient way to make suno generate a short jingle? I uploaded an old jingle I composed years ago, trying to make a Dubstep rock cover of it with an added voice yelling my nickname, but it does full songs with jibberish, and it doesn't even follow the original.

Often adding silence at the end of the upload can trigger a 2 second extension.... or even a cover. But I'd try an extension. You might need to do the beginning "extension" of the upload, THEN Extend that back, up at the silent spot of your original 10 second jingle.

The audio upload feature is meant to force anything containing vocals to be unable to be made public. It sometimes incorrectly will flag audio that does not have vocals though.

It is not a copyright checker. There is basic detection for obvious copyright infringement where someone uploads part of a song that doesn't belong to them but this is basically like Shazam and can give wrong results (it might block some things it shoudn't, and it might let some things past that it shouldn't.) This detection will completely block an upload - it won't just force it to be unable to be made public.

In any case you should only upload material that you own the rights to.

No, there's 2 checks:

1. Is the audio being uploaded part of an existing piece of music (i.e. an identical copy)? If so, the upload is rejected entirely and you are told "matches existing work of art". This deals with the simple case of "I want to upload a song made by a singer I really like" but not being stopped by this does not necessarily mean everything is fine.

2. Does the uploaded audio sound like it has a voice in it? If so, the upload and anything derived from it may not be switched to "public". This gets it wrong sometimes. Mr.Tree has some sound effects that are detected as containing a voice for example.

Aside from both of these, the onus is on you as the user to ensure you have all the rights necessary to comply with the Terms of Service.

Copyright is a legal term which allows you to file your art as well, so you have protection from other use without your permission.

Copyrightable things are only that art which is created by Humans or where humans have a significant control of the results of a creation of an artwork. Everything art by a human hand is endowed as being copyrighted. But as @hollow hare pointed out, random AI outputs are not the specific and significant results of a human and not yet considered a copyrightable thing.

So a Pro or Premium member subscriber OWNS the outputs for the purpose of distributing, selling or using in a way to monetize them.

The eligibility depends on the laws where you are applying. For US Copyright Office, the stance is that you need "sufficient human involvement" so lyrics can be registered BUT, at the moment, the Output from Suno cannot be registered as a component of your work

If you did manual mastering, rearrangement of the musical pieces, and so forth, those portions can be registered (e.g. the manual and significant rearrangement of the song could be eligible for protection but the base Output would not be at the moment) then those can help you with the registration of the song, as with that AI Comicbook case Zarya of the Dawn, which is where the current stance info came from

As the author, you do not have to register the copyright. As soon as the work is created, it is considered protected by copyright. Pieces of music do not have to be published on a sound recording or in the form of sheet music to enjoy copyright protection. Just one performance in front of an audience is enough.

From what I heard, most people had no issues with them, though if something happens, they ghost you.
It can get quite pricy having your song retained as they upmark (kinda) that function (leave a legacy, cheaper to do as an album), registering for Content ID, and so forth.

No matter what distributor you go with, CHECK THEIR TOS! Especially regarding royalties.

I highly recommend seeing Top Music Attorney's TOS coverage against the distributor you want (she likely has one) as she will note the kind of language from lawyer-speak you need to keep an eye out for

I should also note that TuneCore and CD Baby have been vocal anti-AI companies in the past, though I believe that TuneCore has a few AI partnerships now (and will likely lock out their competitors)

Oh. I have done that in awhile. Try the same. Not sure if you can do in CREATE, but can do in the Library. The list is the same, but CREATE only shows the last 20nor so files you've been working on.

So try, highlight, then click thr menu or any highlighted song and choose "move to trash". If not working, just go do the same in your Library instead.

use extend function to add song sections like [bridge] or [chorus] before inserting new lyrics. replace old lyrics or create a new structure, like erasing the ending & adding new ones at the desired time

Sometimes, it helps to extend or make shorter the part you want to replace. If it is 15s, make it 16s or 14s. In my case, since I generate music for lyrics in language not officially supported by Suno, updating lyrics helped as well.

Here are the prompts I used:

Perfect ending: fade to silence.
20-second outro fade-out to silence.
Fade out smoothly.
Gentle fade to silence.
Soft outro fade-out.
Seamless fade to end.
Gradual fade to zero.
Ending fade-out to silence.
Ending must fade to silence.

I always have trouble needing to crop, and some music is impossible to crop.

What kind of prompts should I use to turn a long song with an elaborate structure into an instrumental piece?

Usually I just flip the instrumental toggle on, but if there's sections where Suno insists on hallucinating lyrics, you could always use an extension to overwrite those sections.

(apparently some people feel like extensions inherently lower the quality, but I'm strongly in the other camp)

I concede that even I recognize variations between extensions, in the same way that I recognize variations in audio quality between initial generations -- but where I become a skeptic is when you're suggesting that you can clearly denote a drop in audio quality when the song is stitched together using "get whole song".

I'm not saying that you're wrong, and I would genuinely love to understand where you're coming from on the matter -- if you have a "Full Song" that you feel demonstrates a notable drop in audio quality, please share for consideration 🙏

Related anecdote -- when I first joined Suno I didn't know "get whole song" didn't cost credits, so I would manually time when to swap between clips to hear what they would sound like as a rough idea before spending credits on it -- there were WAY more audible disparities between the levels and audio quality, but I'd never had the same issue using "get whole song".

Some of the most talented Sunovators that I know make liberal use of extensions in their works, and they're of phenomenal quality -- one could argue that extensions are a tool on a Suno artist's belt, and how they make use of those tools lies squarely on them, but I've yet to be shown anything that lends to thinking "Extend" is a shoddy tool.

Not sure if this is the right place for this question, but is anyone else experiencing this? I'm testing the new persona's feature out. I previously had Suno generate a song I like, and I made a persona out of it. All I want to do is change a few lyrics of that original generation and have it sound the same more or less, but no matter what I cannot get it to respect the lyric changes. They aren't big changes, mostly changing a line or two. It keeps using the lyrics of the original song that the persona was created from. It's only when I completely change the lyrics to something wildly different that it respects it. Is there a workaround or a better way to achieve what I'm trying to do here?

As I understand the reason behind "replace" is that feature was introduced to change lyrics.

Some may have had some coincidences with getting lyrics to change with covers , but I understand covers main process was to ONLY change styles while trying to maintain both lyrics and melodies as much possible.

So "replace" was introduced to change the lyrics .

And to extend that.... "personas" just influence the vocals. Neither covers , nor persona's would be the routes set up to specifically change or augment lyrics.

Only extends and "replace", I though were the channels used to replace or augment lyrics. If lyrics change using covers or persona's, which may have happened, by nature would be hard to discern how it does that when not designed for that purpose.

Keep in mind, as beta, "replace" hasn't been perfect and for some, downright frustrating, but it's sole purpose is to change lyrics, with a slight consequence of re-vamping the melody slightly sometimes.

Good luck with the beta "replace". The more that work with it, I guess the more bugs can be discovered.

It 100% helps future models, but it hasn't been made clear (and has been anecdotally debunked by devs) that user's like history impacts generation results in the short term 🤷‍♂️

(dasvon, you may notice a shift in how fervently I spoke against it, toward a more ambiguous tone. That's intentional -- until one of the mods/guides presses the devs for a clear answer, I'm at least planting my flag in the "i dunno, I don't make the thing" camp -- that said, if that were the case, there'd be a lot more instances where it DIDN'T respect my previous voting than when it's ever made a difference -- this is still why I think it's an easy target to blame "the algorithm", when it's already sufficient to blame an AI that interprets prompts in ways we don't fully have documented)

Hi Suno community, please I have a big issue with my account and I thought anyone here might have had same issue . Unfortunately Suno support is more useless than a 1 year old toddler.

Ali sent an invitation email for the app , which I clicked on the it was asking for a code which I did not have, I proceeded to sign in normally using my Google account ( xy) but upon landing on the interface I noticed all my songs were gone and my profile name has changed too and apparently lost the subscription which i renewed a day before this happened ( last Friday) .. now whenever and wherever I sign in using my mail it’s prompts me to the new profile .

Have you tried changing your lyrics / style prompts to see if it's impacting all generations? Are you able to generate an instrumental?

Can't hurt to test on another device (like your phone's mobile browser), but given the troubleshooting you've already undertaken, I'd reach out to [e-mail] if the issue persists even on an instrumental.

(ps. I'm not having issues making instrumentals, just for direct comparison)
