therapy, human, soothing, 60bpm song. Listen and make your own with Suno.
The channel is in a sillier mood than I've seen in months, so I'm reticent to mess the vibe up, but let me know if there's any help you need getting familiar with Suno or using the bandlab apps for editing while you're waiting for your flight 💜 You picked a hell of a day to join the party 🤣
I wouldn’t know where to even begin at this point.
❤️ it was a silly misunderstanding, like when someone walks through the room with a lampshade on their head -- you chuckle and forget that anything weird even happened
I’m just overwhelmed with joy, frustration and a flat buttocks from sitting

I personally find the website easier than the iOS app, plus the website has more features.

On the topic @charred merlin Will there be an android release that u know of?
At least u can see them!
Squints
There's a lot of little quirks to learn as you go, kinda like what words suno understands more than others, but the most repeated words I've typed in the past few months are "you don't "command" or "code" suno, you talk to it".
I’ve been doing. This awhile. Speaking of which does the app follow accessibility guidelines?
Good Suno
Scratches belly
O o
There have been a LOT of accessibility issue, more so with the website than the app from what I've seen. If you run into them, report 'em in feedback section 😦
I don't even know
There's definitely a lot of room for improvement in regards to that -- I know it's something that's high on their radar, but as for now there's a couple users who have been vocal about their issues with voiceover, and have tried to come up with workarounds or best-practices in the meantime while Suno works to make the playform more accessibility-friendly.
I know it’s for gaming but it’s a start - https://accessible.games/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/AbleGamers_Includification.pdf
Wait.. can I record my voice, and with Suno put it into a stem or somthin?
You can upload a recording of your voice and it will show up in the library as a track from which you can extend
#📢┃announcements message
currently only available in the US, but stay tuned for Android, a global rollout, and a lot of fun updates soon
That was the announcement made back when the app was released, but I don't have any more information than you, I'm not on the staff or moderation team 🙏
I mean, people will run in fear hearing me, but I'm curious!
As a defense mechanism!
Ahh thanks!
if the recording cuts off abruptly, suno will likely try to continue it with whatever lyrics and tags you use. If there's some silence at the end, it can be a bit of a crapshoot; sometime Suno will seem to use it as inspiration
It’s called a vocoder, use it and enjoy the applause
So like.. I hit extent.. it will play my voice, then random music..? With my voice or random
Play with it and tell us.

It can (but not always) continue with an approximation of your voice. It'll probably sound really weird to you, vaguely similar to people who know you and just like you to people who have only heard you say something at least a year ago 😄
Sometimes it can actually sound pretty similar

it's a set of instructions. Suno ignores much of it and vocalizes a bit of it.
Oh, looks like you shared the same song twice, do you want to delete the previous one?
Thanks for sharing -- can you explain any of the methods or thought processes behind how you made this song? Or is this simply a song that you're proud of and would like to share?
I am producing them now, using structured prompt, to facilitate the creation and control of the elements as well as the manipulation of the extension and manipulation of range details,
Suno just thinks they're lyrics, though. I hope we get that level of control some day.
Same here -- but I'm still here to help, just without the fancy title ❤️
Thanks for noticing

Unless there's something specific that you're sharing in regards to the metatags / styles, perhaps these would be better suited in #💬┃general-chat or #🐣┃suno-showcase ?
Part of the creation process, it is possible to comment on the parts that are being pronounced, leaving the music completely clean of voices, here I am posting as a structured prompt instruction for construction,

It did say first build up
I am a meat popsicle
I notice that this song was created 3 minutes before it was posted, and it's a 4 minute song -- did you properly listen to your song to see if your metatags / style prompts had the desired effect?
Super green
You sure? A trex could scoop, like 4 or 5 lions in his mouth at a time
I'ma have to go with zealot in this one
just my socks!
mhmm from scanning through it seems to disregard what is actually being asked for at specific points throughout the song but the beat itself is pretty fresh at least
I quite enjoy the fact it vocalised most of the instructions tho
I tried to use your method to make a country song and it REALLY didn't work. Could you please let me know what I could have done differently to get the same success that you had with your tracks?
They have a walnut sized brain -- they'd try to scoop down and bite one, and the lions would jump onto it's face and go for the soft-tissues.
Wait! What if the lions get smart and don't move!?
I hear some lyrics in it
@charred merlin Let the games begin!
@desert latch The ChatGPT assistant you sent me doesn't seem to work -- the metatags that it provides look very complicated and "technical", but they don't seem to actually have the desired impact on the song.
I don't doubt that it's "engaging, psychedelic psytrance", but it's closer to 165bpm instead of 145-148, so it's already ignoring you on 1 technical detail.
These songs are being created using a single musical reference, Psytrance, thinking about the SEO of the Suno positioning tool, seeking to position in the term Psytrance, so the instruction on how to use the Suno Sounsorcerer tool is essential,
I'm not quite sure what this has to do with the song itself.
Do you agree that the song you shared here #📚┃suno-school message isn't 145bpm? If you put it through any metronome app it will likely say 83 / 168
@desert latch Your messages are getting deleted due to the # comments, the markup making it into Header 1.
I do not know if placing it in a ```code block``` would work but the easiest would be to replace # with //
The music is now complete and optimized to rank first in searches for psytrance with 145 BPM

When creating music, you must think about how people will find it, so the search field, genre and song title must match, initially thinking about the positioning within the platform. ex: if you search for the term ambient, you will find this track, https://suno.com/song/a3f20e79-a5aa-4352-9903-256a32795dc8

Now I realize I was in the technical discussion channel, but sorry,
the music was great,
Only guides or moderators can start polls, but I would LOVE to make that a regular thing -- I used to write daily questions for the tip-cups at the cafe I used to own 🙂 ❤️
I've worked for about 4-5 days with ripx daw, and so far with the cleaning tools available I can remove the suno artifacts, which introduces a variable-pitch resonance that usually follows the harmonics of the track but will occasionally get "stuck" on a frequency which I then need to go in and EQ out manually. The result is I end up with a final mix that instead of sounding like it's gone through a phone, is a notched-everywhere mess that sounds like it was subjected to random EQ butchering all over the track.
Would be amazing
I love that
Suno screwed up my order on that last one, tho. I didn't get my extra cheese!
Just mods, the poll option is disabled for me
Question for anyone who's tried anything similar;

Good morning. Does anyone know, if i can tune single phrases in a male voice, the other one in female and the Chorus in a Duet? I already tried things like "[Male] = post-smooth male vox", also added the [Male] in the phrase. But it just doesn´t work for me.
I’m sorry. I was woken up from the gate agent yelling at feisty passengers. Do you like the DAW or nah?
It adds another couple hours to my production chain and replaces problems with different problems. I can't tell if it makes the audio any better and that's not a good sign if I want to drop two hundo
if I really wanted the stems for something other than cleanup and re-merge, maybe
but I don't, I just want the hoover-on-full-blast-vacuuming-up-nails-getting-slowly-closer-to-your-mic-as-the-song-goes-on effect that suno generously provides to every song to go away
and the cleanup tools that the ripscripts etc provide out of the box aren't sophisticated enough to give me that
Hi, haven’t used this for a while, and now getting the error message on the chat with the bot that I am not on the same server, how do I fix this?
are you talking about trying to use the discord bot? to make music, go to suno.com :)

O...
hey guys i have an issue i'm trying to extending a song but each time the generation just skips a whoe part to go directly to the chorus, i tried to adjust the meta tag but it doesn't change anything. i'm confused here...
Very sure
Please, what exactly is it missing based on your description?
the stems thing will also come for free users?
I've generated ~850 suno tracks in the last 34 days. With the exception of very simplistic, repetitive results, the output steadily fills up with audio artifacts. Most noticeable in open hats, cymbals and vocals. I can isolate those tracks with the the software, but I cannot remove the artifacts without introducing worse ones.
probably not. if there anything like Udio's there not worth it anyway, if there actual stems and not split by AI then that would be very cool. but if there just splitted, use a free one like vocalremover which is the same thing
I’m guessing you’ve played with the metatags based on genre and instruments or …. I’m attempting to isolate where the artifacts are coming from since they do happen in “real” life.
Which one are you suggesting? There are several. I’ve already noticed suno is getting cloned by spyware scammers. So could you please be specific with a link? Thank you.
you can split just the music and vocals or full stems
Thank you. I would have selected the wrong one. I thought you meant .org
for free.
UVR is also great if you have a fairly modern GPU (I use it on an old 1080)
I tend to only use Suno's stems if I want to extend vocal only or instrumental only (most of the time I just want to download and edit stuff)
( tricks the website into thinking your paying. )
Oh. I wonder how long it will stay that way is my concern
its been that way for ages now
i bought once about a year ago and never have had to pay again
Got it.
Please remove this.
You are only supposed to use that link if you are paying.
As far as I know it's a service developed and run by one person. It's good value if you have no way to run something locally.
Thank you for providing that explanation.
the problem is with this, is im pretty sure its just laziness they can do stems it would take alot of reprogramming but at the end of the day the best quality without artifacts is better for people who want to use suno or udio for samples, there own music production etc. Udio said after complaints about there stems "we only added it because everyone kept asking for it" yet when we ask for stems we dont mean AI split stems we mean real authentic stems.
yeah, probably. if you have the money to buy it defintely do.
is there any great trick to make the voice work better that i add in the song? seems only work few times for me but rarely :/ its no singing voice so idk if its issue
So you expect top tier features for free? No bueno.
no, i never said that.
Politely reminding this is a technical channel. Please provide steps to replicate results when asking for assistance. Thanks
You described how to game the system in order to get something for free. What would you call that?
well first, its the maker of the websites fault for making a Query as the way to have 0 limits
because i have that url saved anyway everytime i go to the site
so the owner is knowingly allowing people to use the paid version for free
since it saves as that link in your browser
No. They may not be an expert in protecting their work. And rely on ethics by their users.
A rude assumption. Thank you for your reply.
its not rude, its true. the person may not be lazy himself but the websites authecation is made very lazy its not a insult
We do not agree. Let’s leave it at that.
Heck yes, dude! 💪
I’ve used Terminators focused more on swapping styles or ending, but this worked pretty well “resetting” the vocals — did you need to roll many generations to get what you were looking for? Also, was “big wakey” part 3 or part 2, in Suno-terms? Trying to figure out if you extended from “get whole song” or the terminator 🤔
This is really cool though, man 🙂 A lot of people would love any kind of control over vocalists, this could be a novel way to handle vocal swaps 😄
It kills me that I didn't end up saving it, but I've heard "vocals in the round" in one generation, but the extension in your song, particularly ~3:00 definitely give the same vibe! Even if it's just overlapping vocalizations, that's a really neat effect 🙂
I can most certainly try to help! Can you share a picture of what your Discord page looks like so we can figure out what you want to change?
To answer your other question, I'm from Eastern Canada, Atlantic Standard Time, so I'm utc -3
This selection should be more appropriate and demonstrates Rave.dj output. You have to be very good with the samples you choose to mashup.
It needs clean up so RipX will come in handy.

https://discord.com/channels/1069381916492562582/1253341197917884530 Unfortunately "negative prompting" isn't something we can directly manage at the moment, but there's the known-suggestion if you'd like to throw your like onto the post in the link, that way the devs know that people still want it 🙂
Until we get that feature, we need to pick prompts & metatags that suggest the kind of music that we want -- "a cappella" works very well for vocals-only, but I haven't found a good "trick" for removing drums specifically
Can you share the clip, and let us know specifically what you're hoping to achieve vs what you're hearing?
There hasn't been any statement made about that -- https://www.bandlab.com/splitter is a very powerful free web-based tool that you can use in the meantime ❤️
There's definitely room for ambiguity -- some people have complained about "static", but when I listen, it just appears to be the traditional tinny whine of a Chinese Trash Cymbal, and the user finally gets to feel like an audio-engineer who can get angry at an inanimate musical instrument.
I wouldn't be surprised if any of the DAWs people use are able to do some AMAZING stuff with enough time and elbow grease, but it's tricky trying to find something that suits a lot of use-cases without offering an overwhelming amount of options right out of the gate.
By the way -- I hope things are going better airport -wise 💜
Hrm, I can't think of any "super power" tricks, but I find that if I start the song off with an instrumental, then extend from that, the voices always seem to be a little more varied -- perhaps Suno uses the Extension context to further determine which vocals would sound better, instead of choosing the voice at the beginning along with the music
Well, I should be on the plane but we are one flight attendant short so I’m still here, delayed. I got sleep but now I want to go home and play with the new toys my new friends have shown me and I can’t. How’s your morning going?
I'm glad you were able to snag a few Zzz's -- I get legitimately anxious when I know I'll be sleeping somewhere other than my bed, I can only imagine what having to sleep in an airport would do to me 👀 🫂
My morning's going pretty well, thanks 🙂 I got a new computer chair the other day, and since I'm able to lean back and relax a bit more comfortably, one of my cats has started hanging out on my lap even more -- life is good ❤️ 😻
Keeping on point with the technical aspects of this channel. Is there a channel for collaborative learning? Once I’m home I’d really like to have a video session and chop it up. I guess I first should ask if you’d be open to work with me?
And yes, I miss MY bed where I’ve been doing most of my work while my apartment is being renovated.
The discord is still growing and restructuring, but at the moment I'd say this is likely the best place for collaborative learning -- while there isn't a video / voice channel option here, I'd be more than happy to help you try to create the songs you "hear in your mind's ear". 🙂
There currently isn't a feature like "reference audio", so we're required to use similar "thematic descriptors" or related musical terminology to attempt to generate similar songs.
Thank you kind sir. I want to put it out there vs creating my own server or ONLY making it about us. I do NOT want you to feel uncomfortable or leave anyone else out who may want to lurk and learn.
My end goal is to work with the dev team as their social media digital jockey … their Downtown Judy Brown for a Metaverse Television channel based around the work coming from the Suno community.
I've helped a number of users in DM who didn't want to share their music publicly for one reason or another -- I know a number of users who created their own servers to mesh with people who had similar prompting styles, etc
https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/suno they're currently hiring 😉
When you’ve been in an airport for this long, you lose your social anxiety filter and just go for it. Yup, I’ve already submitted an application. So this trip has been rather cathartic.
Nice! There's a lot of good positions there -- apply for the ones that you feel comfortable with, and make sure you also submit a general application for the Suno Talent Community as well -- they don't have everything listed on the page, and look back at applicants to expand as they grow 🙂
I’d want to ask them if they would like to have those servers shared for other lurkers to find them. Yeah, I really am glad I found this service. Makes all the inconveniences like paying it forward towards a better experience than I came for. I’m so grateful 🥹 but tired. 🥱
I submitted a general one. I have specific requirements to help them get tax credit for bringing me on. Hopefully this will allow them to recruit even more talent. I’m a long-term thinker who’s been in the startup community for over 10 years. I’ve been looking for the right place to settle down and just grow within. Thanks for making it so easy to speak up.
Anyone have any ideas why Suno would skip an entire verse? Making a new song and I've extended it twice so far, and in all 4 extensions there's a specific verse that's skipped.
Could it be the word choice is conflicting with a mature audience filter?
Nope. Nothing mature in the lyrics. Good thought, though.
Almost every time that I've seen Suno skip a verse it's because it was given a LOT of lyrics / metatags / styles to begin with.
Can you share what you were "feeding" Suno at first?
Maybe Suno sees how the words would come together incorrectly?
Huh. Well, the extension does have 4 verses and 2 things for the chorus.
Maybe? I dunno, still learning about it.
Yup -- the more you give it to juggle, the more chance it has of "dropping" something or giving a "minor hallucination"
Agreed. Perhaps it’s tripping over a musical rule it’s decided the lyrics break?
Ah, ok. So if I remove one verse it'll work fine I guess? Makes sense.
now to pick which verse i want to remove ._.
It's not anything wild, very common hallucination. Like if you ask chatGPT to include 50 things in a story, it will likely only include some of them
If I can share some advice?
Perhaps. I’m thinking composition structure. Is it looking for a bridge?
From the person that helped me create my first full song? Eww, never! :<
Sure. XD
Side note, I've noticed that it seems to have some trouble with the word "egg."
But if you think about it from an assembly language perspective that would say you haven’t given Suno a structure it understands to use it so order of operations says skip until a proper rule is found. Which it doesn’t so …
Syllables maybe spell phonetically?
The more specific of a song that you have in "your mind's ear", the more time (and unfortunately credits) you'll likely need to spend.
Instead of trying to achieve a specific song with a "one-shot generation", perhaps find a song that starts off the way you like, but when it starts to do ANYTHING you don't like (music isn't interesting, repeating lines, skipping verses, etc), then go back a couple seconds before that and "Extend" from there.
This way you "lock in" the first part that you love, and you get to try to correct the parts afterward -- this way if it skips a verse, you can just start from that vere and try again. 🙂
This way you don't pull your hair out trying to figure how much you can "safely feed" Suno, and can just chip away at it as you go ❤️
No clue at all. Like, here's the chorus. Copy/pasting it:
[Chorus]
They're the firemen of Egg County, brave and bold,
In a town where stories of heat and danger are told,
Running through the flames, where the brave never fold,
Firemen of Egg County, hearts made of gold.
It'll say the first "Egg" twice every time the chorus is brought up.
Personally, when making songs I rarely go beyond the chorus (if I even make it that far, often just starting instrumentally, even if just for a couple seconds) in my initial generations, then I build the song I want using extensions.
That's not to say that I don't LOVE my one-shots, but all of my most intentioned songs are all 3+ extensions because I wanted to "continue the good part", or the song didn't quite go where I'd imagined.
I've honestly been trying that, but it's good to know that method is something used by someone that knows what they're doing. XD Thank you! ❤️
The problem here is that it's on the extension itself. Like in the middle of it. Anyway, I'll try removing a verse and a single line from earlier. I think I accidentally have a verse that's too long at the start of the extension.
i just realized i can extend extensions

In the pinned comments there's a section on "structure tags", as well as https://www.suno.wiki/faq/metatags/song-structure/ , it's absolutely something that can effect the song, but Suno doesn't strictly obey metatags
My intuition says it doesn’t understand how egg is rhythmically related to brave. So if it’s doing the vocal arrangement it wouldn’t necessarily properly translate the way it’s sung.
If you search for "terminator extensions" in the pool party, I share a REALLY cool way to extend from extensions 👀 #1256301881966198805
I need to add a post for this as well, but if you simply use "end", "farewell" or something similar in the style prompts for "part 3" of that method, no lyrics or anything, it's a crazy effective way of forcing the end of a song.
Huh. Maybe. I'll have to toy around and see if I can figure stuff out.
Think Eminem. When you hear him speak the vocals of course that word fit based on his pronunciation and flow. But when you read it without hearing him, it’s like how am I supposed to say this?
I don't think there's anything wrong with the word egg, Suno literally just hallucinates and will repeat or skip stuff if you overload it 😅
Ah. I was wondering since it was only happening to that specific word. XD
It it happens when you're just using 1-2 verses at a time, I'll start to wonder wtf Suno has against eggs. 👀
Yes, but just like people. It can be handled differently so it’s not overwhelming. Then the hallucination should return to the new norm.
Is there like a list of... I forget the actual term, tags I think and how they function? Like [Verse] [Bridge] etc?

Good morning, afternoon or evening.
Unrelated, but I thought it was funny.
I think Suno is trying to tell me something.
When suno sees [chorus] before a block of text, it doesn't necessarily "command" anything, but it might take the suggestion that the next section should follow the same kind of musical patterns and trends that it associates when it thinks about what "chorus" means -- refraining melody, emphasis, louder, perhaps some kind of fading hook before the music picks up again.
Similarly, saying "End" is intended to tell Suno to end -- but unless it's being used ONLY by itself, almost ANY other style prompt will musically "outweigh", so that's why you'll see Suno memes about needing to spam it 100 times and it still not working -- "Terminator Extensions" actually solve that problem
Serious question 🙋♀️ when has a computer been able to ignore input or see it as an option? That doesn’t track is machine language. Do you have a dev reference you can share to better explain, please?
Ah, ok, thanks for the info! I appreciate it.
Ask ChatGPT to hack into the pentagon. 😉
It's not that it's "refusing" or "ignoring", it's just that it has no means of understanding the way the command has been delivered -- Suno "vibes", it doesn't take orders.
Pronounciation issues often seem to be related to the singers/voices that Suno uses for the tracks, which is probably influenced/controlled by the styles. If it happens on multiple generations, you might play with shuffling the styles around a little bit. https://suno.com/song/9e870a02-78ce-48eb-90c1-a6396c8dd8e7
Acoustic Dobro Guitar, Slide, Blues, Resonator, Funk, dobro resonator guitar, acoustic, Harmonica with Cheese song. Listen and make your own with Suno.
#1256301881966198805 is my experimental thread -- check out the BPM tests to see what I'm talking about -- people try a LOT of ways to prompt specific BPMs, but it's not that it's "choosing to ignore" the request, it literally doesn't understand that "bpm - 180" means a direct request -- it sees the word "bpm" and thinks "yeah, that word comes up a lot in fast music, now I'm thinking about fast music!"
and the 180 gives the same kind of variation that ANY random prompt decorator would (if you've ever locked the seed in an AI image gen like Stable Diffusion and added a single word to see what the difference would be, you know what I mean)
Hopefully I cleared up some of the ambiguity, but please ask any followups 😄 Part of the issue is that ChatGPT is SO user-friendly, and it encourages people to talk to it in any way they feel comfortable, but there's a HUGE degree of confirmation bias in being able to say whatever you want and assuming that 100% of what you said had a tangible impact 😦
Yeah, I'm pretty much just experimenting at this point.
https://suno-ai.notion.site/FAQs-b72601b96de44e5cacd2cd6baa985448 is the only dev-provided documentation we have, so the rest of it is more a matter of practical observation and reproducible testing
🤷♂️ 🔬 🧑🔬
Then that’s been coded. I’m delirious now. We’ve been delayed to 9 am the flight just got picked from LaGuardia and we’re in Newark NJ
I'm not sure what you mean by "that's been coded", but I shouldn't have attempted to be cheeky when trying to give a serious follow-up answer.
I hope that I cleared up the matter in the following posts -- in regards to the chatgpt/pentagon thing, I just meant that an AI not recognizing or follow your "commands" doesn't seem unreasonable or "odd" if the request is outside of the AI's capabilities to begin with.
They just delayed my flight again so I’m not myself at then moment. You and this discussion is keeping me calm
While there isn't extensive dev-side documentation, we've crowd-sourced a lot of research in the past ~8 months.
It's not that I'm trying to be a bully or tell people how they should experiment when I reiterate that you don't "command" Suno, You Talk To It, it's that every attempt to exert granular control over the AI in ways that people claim to be able to have failed reproducibility tests on my end -- I'll ask what I need to do to replicate someone's success, and if the only thing they can say is "just do what I did, it worked for me, check out this song", then they haven't proved "control" over it, just that they rolled the dice and got what they wanted on that generation.
I know you're going through the ringer in the past day and a half, I'm usually a smartass before I have a cup of coffee in me, but that's totally unfair to someone who just slept in an airport.
You're a f#@^$#^#$^ champion for putting up with me 🤣 💜
No it isn’t now that I know you’re trying to help.
You're kind to let me off the hook, but unfortunately too many people I've met care more about looking smart than they do about providing genuine help. Thanks for letting me both be a smartass and try to help 😛 I get the best of both worlds in this interaction
What's the weirdest "airport thing" you've seen since you've been there?
You. Are. Keeping. Me. Calm.
A Mr and Mrs Karen going after a gate agent for needing to take their bag so they could get on the flight
where is the style exclude option? is this a joke?
There are no negative prompts yet. People have suggested such features but it takes time to develop and test.
In the mean time, if you are not getting the right style, I suggest try looking for a specific subgenre for the style you want. I like using https://rateyourmusic.com/genres for this
I've seen what time is spent on, and I'm surprised it's not spent on this ((
heh. I got held up in Chicago overnight due to flight delays and there was a looooong line of people at the counter to get hotel and food vouchers. People were screaming at the employees, wearing them down, and everyone behind me in line was pre-raging.
I got up to the counter and the poor lady on the other side was looking at my unshaven face, megadeth t-shirt and long hair and probably thinking "Oh boy, here we go...".
So I tried to order a double bacon cheeseburger with a side of fries and a large diet coke. The whole place exploded. Tension relieved. 😄
I'll be honest, I would rather have in-filling/in-painting over negative prompt since I need way more of the former with my typo'd prompts than the latter.
But, man, how many times a negative prompt would have been so handy, ugh
judging by how inaccurate the suno neural network is, the negative style is necessary without any doubt, personally i think
Is this also the reason why adding "6/8" to a style, like "fast edm 6/8" always results in 4/4 music
They just email them to us these days.
Ai just doesn't know what 6/8 is probably
https://discord.com/channels/1069381916492562582/1253341197917884530 If you want to add an upvote to the post in the link, it'll let the devs know this is something still want more and more 😄
You 100% nailed it -- it likely knows what those timings are, but you can't "command" them, but try saying "waltz" and it'll likely give you 3/4 💪
The people who work at gate check seriously need hazard pay 👀
3/4 ain't the same as 6/8 tho
Also I think AI is just trying to make everything 4/4
There was once I uploaded a custom song at 5/4 and it remade it with 4/4
There was once a time I became so upset I literally typed "Make me a song that uses any other time signature that's not 4/4"
Then the pilot came out and demanded ice or he wasn’t flying and the supervisor had closed the flight. They ended up in the jetway hashing it out.
I didn't say they were?
So is there a way to make Ai do 6/8
Hey
Welp, first time I'm trying to put together something that's been extended twice. This'll be interesting. 😅
the only two Music AI that I know of that can set and stick to time signatures is Aiva and Soundful
Thanks
Also do they stick to custom melodies
I spent all my credits today trying to make Suno AI sing a song in a specific melody and it failed miserably
Indeed there is, waltz does it mainly
though 6/8 is a lot harder to do
You can't explicitly code or command these, just like you can't explicitly say "play 3/4" because it doesn't understand the "command".
Ironically, because you didn't give it any other suggestions, saying "anything other than 4/4" likely would just result in 4/4 because that's the only musical term it recognizes from your sentence 😅
If you can upload a song in 6/8 and it has a strong enough musical context for v3.5 to hook onto, it will continue your song.
Hey man, welcome to the server! ❤️
I had a song switch between 3/4 and 4/4, was quite a lucky gen
BRo i need help regarding something but chat went Aonther side yesterday
could you help me by telling about distributers , and we could release songs for free on distrokid
distrokid is a paid service, but there are others you can use for free -- but it can take a while for them to work.
After countless songs made , and got only 9 useful songs who made it to Spotify.. like I said before, the voice tracks are mostly unusable, cause there's too much noise in.
The Instrumental part really great, but the voice... mostly can't clear it up for a good quality ( for my ears ) I really hope the gonna improve that with 4.0 even if I've to pay more for a better voice track..
ok
Alright
What about 5/4 songs
and i made song melody in suno
but in free version i want to upgrade just for get that thing rights
Nice! Not to ramble on the point of the terminator extensions (#📚┃suno-school message) but it's interesting when you start to get a feel for how the extensions use the previous clip as context -- "get whole song" gives it the full song (or a good chunk of it), where using a terminator cuts the context to a single second so you can make it pivot into anything.
You can get some really cool results 🙂
Yeah, you don't own the songs made on a free account, so you'll get in trouble if you try to add them to a distributor 😱
I had something weird happen. When I got the whole song it repeated a verse in the first part 3 times, but in the original song I extended from it didn't happen.
I tried to get that by contacting custmor care
thier should be feature on free version
Same as with 3/4 -- you can't specifically tell suno "make 5/4", but if you can 1) think of a prompt that suggests that, like how "waltz" suggests 3/4, or 2) use Audio Upload to add a clip in 5/4 timing, then extend from that so Suno can "hook onto" the context for your desired time signature. The more context it has to continue from in that clip the better, so try to add the full 60s if you can
https://www.suno.com/account you sign up for accounts here
Back then I uploaded a song in 5/4 and it continued... In 4/4 because suno likes 4/4 so much smh
i want right of free thing by paying for premium
Like I said, it needs a strong musical context-- it doesn't just immediately know what you're doing. Can you share the 5/4 clip you used?
is anyone here who have similar exp!
I might be misunderstanding -- if you have a pro / premium account, you own the songs, and are allowed to share them to a distributor.
Suno does not share the songs with Apple Music / Spotify.
It sounds like you want Suno to distribute the songs for you?
No bro basically vocal and beat rights
If you have a paid account -- YOU OWN YOUR SONGS -- you own the beats and vocals to a song that you made on a paid account
Anything generated while you're on a free account you don't own, even if you get a paid account later.
this™️
*so long as those songs were made during the subscription period
You will have to talk to support@suno.com but I really doubt they will they will do it because that situation was explicitly mentioned in the FAQs.
Just make a new variation of the song during premium, you will have the rights for that.
As for distributors, Spotify does have a page where they list the ones they deal with: https://artists.spotify.com/providers
Ugh -- I'm not sure what colour they'll make me if I try to explore this can of worms 😨
I finally got it to work stringing together 3 parts! It's not perfect, but hey, it's an improvement on my end. It's a bit long, but if anyone happens to give it a listen I'm open to suggestions to improve in the future.

fast-paced country rhythmic song. Listen and make your own with Suno.
Yeah that I Mean
Also, thanks to you folks here for helping me figure out my initial issues with oddities. ^_^
suno loves oddities! Hence why I love using suno lmao
keeps it interesting, even when it's not my desired result
Yeah, I can tell it does. XD
We're all learning together, whether it's learning new tips or learning how to explain ideas that seem to make sense intuitively, but don't always translate to the keyboard well ❤️
Oh yeah, honestly, like that style was complete accident.
Yeah, I've noticed. Biggest thing you need for this is patience it seems.
patience and some money to burn
Yeah... yeah.... XD
lmao, accidents are my favourite thing about Suno -- I like to think I know what I want, then Suno smacks me upside the head and reminds me that I just wanted comfort and familiarity, and I actually like new things too 😛
anyway to lock suno to a fixed tempo? i have songs are 120bpm that end up at 240bpm for no reason, v3 or 3.5 same issue
BRo see i love suno for this , but hate at same time for not giving option in free version get your work rights by paying 3/4 $ or 10$ Sub
because real artist take 30 - 40 $ for melody
Lol I tried to send a link
what i basically going to do ; seprate suno ai vocals and tune it with its beats
try in diff chat
Imagine -- you need to give a SOLID 10 seconds or more between each post
Can I just send in a dm
I don't think I understand what the issue is? It sounds like you're subscribed to a paid plan, so you already have ownership of the songs you generate.
I believe users on the free plan CAN contact Suno to ask about purchasing the rights to a single song, but that isn't "the normal way" that they're choosing to operate their business. They are within their rights to offer licensing or ownership however they see fit.
Ok how much time did it took bro ?
i give a date to others , want to knw how much time they took to response , like tunecore took 5 days
Not through prompting, but if the song starts to do something you don't like (speeding up, slowing down, missing lyrics, etc) , just go a couple seconds before the part you don't like, and add an extension to continue from the part that you enjoyed and create the song the way you envisioned it 🙂 💪
We're talking about very different things.
Tunecore is a music distribution company -- they have their own SLA & turnaround expectations.
I'm talking about the rare instance where someone doesn't want to pay for a subscription, and simply wants to "buy the rights to a song" from Suno.
It's hard to give a comparison because they are not similar at all.
i'M just asking about response time of suno ai service team
Really greatful bro told this , i even got dms people asking same things by luck you got response ?
you got response?
It would depend on what you're contacting them about -- there is no advertised wait time that I know about.
If someone is asking you about Suno, it's best to advise them to contact support@suno.com
still you know by your exp ?
i did its like win win ; i added that in subject i could even give them free adv in newspaper
@night jewel have you emailed them, and are still waiting for a reponse?
I understand that you want me to tell you a certain number of days, but the question isn't "black or white"
yes bro
i emailed them yesterday
Ahh -- it sounds like you are waiting for a response.
Did you ask them a question about using Suno, or a problem with your account? Or was the email to offer a business opportunity?
REgarding Subscription
Regarding Song Commercial rights & Regarding YOUR promotion
This is the subject \
They're a very busy company, but I'm sure they'll get back to you when they're able -- in the meantime, if you have any questions about the commercial licensing for songs made with Suno, you could check the Terms of Service (https://suno.com/terms) -- as it has everything that the support advisors would be able to tell you.
We are building a future where anyone can make great music. No instrument needed, just imagination. From your mind to music.
If you're having issues, they're certainly going to help, though if you have specific questions you can try to ask them here and we can try to help while you wait.
Has anyone used tools like Izotope RX and Unchirp to try to restore the quality of songs generated by Suno? I have a song that I love, but the quality is really bad...
There's a few people I've seen give gleaming recommendations to Spectralayers regarding this matter, but I'm not wildly familiar with them. All of my edits have just been high/low pass filters , loudness equalization, normalizers & compression, de-essing, etc in Audacity
@naive quail was using some form of spectral analysis tool to take out pops and background cat meows -- I wish I was more familiar with direct approaches like this, because I've just trained myself to re-generate any clips that seem unpleasant to try to isolate 😅
Do you think any Audacity function can "save" this?
https://suno.com/song/909cdb33-47f0-4c60-963d-d65fc71f4e4d
Nu Metal, Angry, Aggressive, Anthemic, Male Voice. song. Listen and make your own with Suno.
Gimme like ~3 minutes to play with it "at a glance"
Take all the time you need
Beyond it maybe sounding "muffled", are there any particular sections that stand out to your ears, or any general comments on the quality?
Not just that but they also emailed during the weekend. I definitely would not expect any response for at least 1 business day
Its been 2 days bro
Just want to know
But you said yesterday, which was Saturday in North America
how much time it usually took
As I mentioned, I would not expect anything for at least one business day.
In fact, because of how likely they get a lot of emails during the weekend piled up (due to more people having free time during the weekend), I would not be surprised if it would be at least three business days before you get a response about it
Yes, RX and Spectral Layers from Steinberg can help with audio restoration from Suno. It’s not an automatic science, but both are helpful. I mostly use Spectral Layers for my separation and restoration
To me, a big part of the song has clipping audio, especially the final part.
Thanks for the answer.
Welcome
Is their is way to separate only beat and instrument from music ? Without vocals
There isn't an expected turnaround time -- I know that you want a specific estimate, but there is NO official support presence here on Discord, this is all community help.
Email support is active from 9-5pm EST, Monday - Friday.
Again, if you want more immediate help, you can let us know what the issue is, but beyond that, you'll need to wait for a response during their work hours.
Thanks bro
I tried running the song through the AI mastering tools from LANDR and https://www.bandlab.com/mastering , and they at least bring out the dynamic range in the song, which would make it a lot easier to try to address the clipping issues -- though I'm not familiar enough with the techniques I mentioned earlier (filter passes, etc) to outright list what I would do, it's a lot of experimenting after that point 😅
Thanks Harber.
Not a problem -- it's remarkable how even just putting it through the "clear" mastering (the top 4 options on the bandlab page are free 🙏) makes a night and day difference -- actually dynamic range between the instruments
Mind you, sometimes AI mastering "paints everything with the same brush" so it's possible that it introduces some issues while solving others -- occasionally I've used their splitter tool to remove the tracks, master them separately (or clean them up separately in Audacity) and piece them all back together later.
Best of luck with the song, dude 🍻
heres my song
I mailed them in evening of fri, I don't know about weekend off
Bro I tell you whole thing, like I created a music song I want it's rights and I could even promote suno ai, going to pr about it even in newspaper
Thanks for sharing!
Do you have any tips or tricks about how you use Suno, or what prompts you used to create this song? Are you sharing it because it's a good song and you want others to hear it?
I am pretty sure Suno is already very popular. Anyways, like Harber said earlier, nothing we can do here, most of us are not associated with the company.
Yes i want people to hear it
Yup, they only work Monday - Friday, <t:1722772800:t> - <t:1722801600:t>
Ok
Nice, I got some hopes now, Thank you bro really appreciate you helped a lot
Ah, perhaps you could share your song in #💬┃general-chat or #🐣┃suno-showcase? We try to keep this channel reserved for conversation about HOW to make the songs 🙂
You are right bro, But most of times moderator got some connection
Not a moderator
Hrm... I know you can click this button to hide the sidebar on the right side, but I don't know if you're able to hide the sidebar on the left...
Perhaps on the mobile app or the website version it might be laid out differently?
I understand -- unfortunately the moderators & guides aren't members of Discord staff -- the best way to get information about the support team is from the support team themselves 💪
I understand without an automated response it might have seemed like your email was missed, but I would imagine they will see your message very shortly on Monday when their shift begins 🙂
Thank you!! 🤟 It took more rolls than i wanted to get the voice I was after, and I wish I extended in a place that didn't throw off the time signature, but I'm still happy with it 🙂 I was looking for an opportunity to try Terminators, this seemed perfect.
Another hard spot was getting the arguing voices at the end to match both singers, that was just pure luck.
The termination point is at 00:38, guess I shoulda kept the embed so you could see #🐣┃suno-showcase message
Never make bangers on the free plan 🫡
yep, i always do this with my fave gens!! - i much prefer LANDR's engine over bandlab's (most of my 'serious' generations are pop/electronic/indie based so maybe that will play into it) and find that, somehow, whatever mastering chain its doing, it always makes things sound so much ✨ cleaner ✨ even if the suno gen was a bit of a trainwreck.
I think @naive quail is making shirts up 🤣
HAHAH where do i get one
@stiff sable -- oh hell, do you have a LANDR subscription? They hooked me up with a month of Studio Pro so I could share my insights on it, but Tinda is the only other Sunovator/LANDRER I know, I'd love to have as much input on how you use LANDR, what you feel the actual value is in it, etc
I know it serves WILDLY different use cases than DistroKid or a lot of the other distributors, seeing as how it's more of an encompassing platform for music creation, I didn't know how best people were actively combining the two services.
yeah im on their annual studio pro! 🤓 mainly bcos of my actual production + songwriting stuff; its a super cool tool for connecting with other musicians and getting plugins and things included as part of what youre already paying for. im mainly there for their mastering service tho (they have a DAW plugin now that gives you even more fine-control than the web app does) and realised one day that if i can master my own songs... why can't I master Suno's too 😅
ive just realised that probably makes it sound like im really trying to sell them to you lol but those are my main use cases for it
if someone is just doing it for suno, i wouldnt recommend the studio pro plan, and maybe even the standard plan is a little bit pricey unless theyre planning on mastering multiple albums worth of music per month in my opinion. but in terms of the quality and service, i'd say what i'm paying for for what i get is well worth it 😁
who here uses BandLab?
Heck to the yes. I will recommend their free web-suite to anyone who is getting started and familiarizing themselves with audio tools.
Dude, I 100% asked! ❤️ If anything I'd be worried that I'm coming across like a shill for it, but I'm genuinely interested in know different use cases. 🙏
I was on LinkedIn rambling like I usually do, asking someone why they considered LANDR a good option for $200/year when I could use DistroKid for $30/year with BandLab's free AI mastering tools and web-suite -- they explained a couple different use cases, and basically left it as "yeah, that sounds like it would be hard to beat.", but then Daniel Rowland reached out to chat about it so we could figure out what kind of use cases would be a good fit for the Suno community
Okay -- immeditely looking into the DAW plugins -- I'm still on the fence regarding the app-based mastering, but admittedly I haven't played around with the Reference mastering much 👀
are you a paid subscriber? I am trying to work out the benefits of the paid tier
No, I'm on the free plan right now, can't justify the extra expense, but what they have on their free plan is amazing -- but the paid plan is just unfairly cool. I saw they JUST added voice-to-midi and instrument-to-midi and you came to mind
yeah that's attractive
I can't believe their mastering is free
I know, 4 different audio tones, with 4 others and intensity options available on the paid plan, but I've been ridiculously satisfied with the free mastering. And the audio splitter is stupid good, and can import directly into their web-daw
Like -- we get it, you rock. Stop showing off, BandLab.
I have a question about Suno, be it v3 or v3.5 - how do you get the model to "sing" in European Portuguese (spoken in Portugal) as opposed to Brazilian Portuguese? Prompting for it does kind of work but I get this weird hybrid which sounds very bizarre, it's like someone switching from American to British mid-word then going back and so on.
the social features seem good also, makes Soundcloud look less attractive now
Soundcloud left a bad taste in my mouth when I read a Suno user share an email that they weren't receptive to "computer-generated music", which sounded very vague and unfriendly to our use cases 😛
I THINK they might have changed their tune in the recent months, but I've sort of tuned them out in response to that -- too many new, cool companies starting up.
For example, it pronounces the word "Transparente" in two different dialects (Portuguese then Brazilian) as depicted by the formatted letters
Soundcloud accept direct from Soundful but won't knowingly accept from Suno or other similar AI
Soundcloud is also expensive for what little it offers
Hrm... Admittedly I don't have a lot of experience using different languages, or trying to prompt a specific language -- are there any differentiations you could use in spelling the words?
https://discord.com/channels/1069381916492562582/1230630513299947581 https://discord.com/channels/1069381916492562582/1154779408989687848 Beyond that, perhaps you could ask the Brazilian and Portguese chat rooms if they have any tried-and-tested tips?
One method is to define something like "Portugal Portuguese" (or a variant thereof) in the style prompt.
I highly suggest checking out the prompts used in the channels Harber provided
Sounds like a solid plan. I did explicitly prompt "Portugal Portuguese" in the style prompt, right at the beginning too. I wonder if I must be a Portuguese speaker to use the forum channels?
I'm asking because I understand a little bit and I can tell Brazilian PT and EU PT apart, but I used AI to write the lyrics
Hmm, looking at the prompts, looks like people using just "Portuguese" were fine for EU PT. I have seen more people complaining about not getting the Brazillian pronunciation
Ironic 😂 I will try just Portuguese and report back
How can I change the background of the site from black to something else. White text over black is hard on my eyes.
Someone was asking about deeper male voices, being explicit and using proper terms (baritone, bass) ironically makes things worse, but using "male singer, masc male vocals" (sometimes) provides decent results.
Tenta usar PT-PT entre as tags.
Exemplo: [Chorus - PT-PT]
Nope, it just awkwardly switches dialects mid-sentence and it's very bizarre to hear. I even used a TTS to ensure I'm right and the EU PT pronunciation should sound different. It's like having the singer go from American English to British English and then back.
Thanks, I'll try that!
There isn't an official way to change the color palette or swap between a light/dark mode unfortunately, but #🚧┃suggestions-layout has some scripts for the "greasemonkey" browser extension that changes fonts and whatnot -- there might be something that handles the color scheme? But unfortunately it's not something that I'm familiar with to advise futher.
That is unfortunate, but thank you anyway for a prompt response.
are you vision impaired?
To be fair white text on a black background is quite harsh to look at.
oh ok, because I use Suno with a screen reader called Voiceover on macOS
No, but I am getting older and I have diabetes which has caused problems for me with certain lighting. Imagine looking at a black background with white text and looking away and the screen is burned in your eyes for a bit, much like a quick glimpse at the sun.
Convenient! It's good that operating systems offer a form of accessibility for people with different impairments. It's never a bad thing.
My phone on the other hand has special settings for people with slight hearing impairment, and when I switched it on, all songs suddenly started sounding more crisp and clearer.
to add some hope into this: the CSS for suno's webpages has a TON of unused color palettes that seem to come as part of the libraries used to build the website, so if someone with a brainier brain than me can figure out a greasemonkey script to pull those colors in instead ... they're already in the backend ready to go.
That's valid. I have no visual impairment but white text on a black background is harsh to look at. Just like black text on a white background oftentimes. A less stark contrast may be more beneficial as it would be easier on the eyes.
get out of here bill nye, harri is my favourite science guy now
That also didn't work 😕
Maybe Claude 3.5 just used some awkward Brazilian wording somewhere and the model assumes it must switch???? My best guess
Might as well learn Portuguese to write my own lyrics 💀 Power move
5th language
I did notice some weirder stuff going on with Bulgarian, but it's very rare and I never tried prompting for Bulgarian in the Style Prompt. Different Bulgarian dialects exist within a single country, but they rarely show up in Suno outputs and I hear the standard one 99% of the time
Could be a model limitation, is my point
yes, i have some which gave me the same result, i'll put them here. the issue i'm having is that the clip starts directly at the chorus even if there is clearly a bridge/pre(-chorus just before. also my lyric set is less than 1000 characcters and i haven't really touched to the style meta tags too, so...

i will try again just by changing one second but seriously, i'm confused here. don't know if i'm doing something wrong
how do you do note shifts in the song.
I have a question, How hard/costly would be to create a second chanel bot (woodhouse's cousin) that reads suno-showcase posts, stores the posted links with the timestamp in a list; then every 5-10 minutes It check the list and delete from the list the links that have been on the list for more than 24 hours; but the real function is, when somebody post a link the bot would checks If It's on the list, If It's on the list, It deletes the posted link.
The point is to let the users to promote their songs (once in an hour) but not let the users to promote the same song 24 times a day using a timer.
I have tried, several means but I don't detect any shift.

should I put just the letter in front of the part of the song?
or am I going about this completely wrong
you cant currently prompt directly for things like this bcos suno doesn't fully understand 'key' in the way we'd define and understand it. you might end up getting very lucky with it 1 out of 500 times but there's no way to consistently or reliably prompt suno like this atm.
Thank you from soul
So I removed a song from my playlist as it was there twice and made the song public, but it’s not on my profile. Any help? I want to add it back as I’m remaking an old album on Suno and I can’t find it anywhere
But the link to the song works so it’s still on the website
Can you switch to private then public through that link?
Yeah it was private before and I switched it to public
Ah, I see, I am sorry I cannot be of much help.
Did you tried refreshing the page a few minutes later?
Yeah, I also tried the link and the link still works
That’s alright, maybe contacting support?
Hey @leaden lark 💜 You said you still have the link to the song, yes?
Yeah
You need to be super specific with how they're typed out to use the search bar in the library tab, but is there any unique text in the lyrics / tags / styles that you could search for?
gothic metal, dark, atmospheric, heavy metal, [[emotional female vocals]] song. Listen and make your own with Suno.
"realm of ice and sorrow"?
Let me check
Barring that, I suppose if we still have the link it's possible to add it to the playlist, the same as if it was someone else's song... but it's your song, dang it.
When I type it in it doesn’t show
"blizzard's lament" -- the missing apostrophe might be the kicker
has to be typed the exact same way.
The search bar is very finicky. I had to resort to manual search a few times. Can't recall if it was case sensitive as well
Even adding it doesn’t show
hooo boy is that the truth -- I often search by a single word from the lyrics because I know I'll have an easier time 😛
This is literally the only song that’s been doing this to me
Is it on page 2?
Hmm, since you can go to the song page, how about renaming the piece to something like "zzz" temporarily and search for that
1 sec I’ll try it on the browser site on my phone
Oh, @charred merlin, remember the issue I had about the clicking the title of the song in the music player not linking to the lyrics page in mobile view?
I just found out by accident that clicking the art cover will take you there instead (and the title link is still useless)
Weird
Try searching for capitalized ZZZ
I did
Ah, my bad, right picture looked like lowercase. Weird search bar :/
That’s because I changed the name on the website on my phone and searched for it on the iOS app
Well huh-- that might be a support@suno.com issue -- maybe there's some kind of back-end data they can look into?
Hmm is there a possibility it may have been accidentally trashed and still in your trash can? 🤔
The context menu should reveal that by saying either "Move to Trash" (= still in lib) or perm. Delete (= it was trashed) at the very bottom. Be very careful if the second option is there
@leaden lark this has happened to me when removing songs from a playlist, because the trash song spot is in a different spot than I expected
omg omg omg, thats what it is
I just know it
Yea no, Suno won't interpret super specific instructions like that.
I've had Suno described as a "Vibe Reader". You can't "code" a song, unfortunately
@hollow hare -- I FEEL it. That's exactly what happened, and I'm willing it to be the case, because that just makes so much damned sense.
Either multiple weird things are happening at the same time, or we're missing something super obvious.
I think I found it, but it’s hard to undo when there’s a song playing on mobile
was it in the trash?! 👀
There you are
@hollow hare you're a friggen genius
For some reason when I removed from the playlist it went to trash?
Thanks you guys for the help, I was so confused as to here it went after I removed from the playlist

I honestly have no idea how that popped in to my mind. Maybe it was because I was thinking of my old file-is-missing checklist 👀
I've had stuff go missing too...
I've found that Suno keeps a weird cache so that it can keep the music player at the bottom going, nothing like your library or likes or plays will get updated unless you fully refresh the page.
i've accidentally trashed songs a couple of times in the past when trying to remove them or a duplicate from a playlist bcos the text looks similar / placement is different to normal, it could've been a very easy slip of the button 🙌
"remove from playlist" vs "remove" -- poorly labelled "trash" option
Also, go through trash damn near regularly, or else you'll have 40 pages to scroll though, and they're NOT sorted in any helpful order..
That could’ve saved me so much time to continue on with the album
At least I can remake more stuff when I get home from work
so now we're just calling me out, huh 🤭
Bandlab is a pretty awesome website when you get in to it
...like, it makes you angry when you start to realize how much they have on the free plan.
it's incredible, but I am going to subscribe
Just speaking from painful experience, man... Very painful
Bandlab own Airbit, which I use professionally
Ok, now for me to NOT touch this playlist again until I’m done with the rest
I don't blame you for a second.
I especially love BandLab because it's such a comprehensive set of audio tools to recommend people that are starting off -- you don't need to learn a whole bunch of different tools, you can start off "small" and build on what you need. Plus the free experience isn't hindered at all, the paid plan just enhances it. A lot of free services will hold something back to encourage you to pay, but literally the vast majority of people would be 100% suited with the free stuff.
Could be safe to rename it, otherwise you'll forget about this interaction and wonder why that track made you feel sleepy when you were naming it.
True, I just changed it back
If I remember correctly, the 'remove from playlist' only appears if you were accessing the options while on the playlist page.
The remove/trash option appears in most option access (e.g. in library)
Yeah, I have another song that had the content restriction put on it like Blizzards Lament Re:Prise bout blizzards lament could go public but the other song can’t? It’s just something I noticed
Did it start with an audio upload, by chance?
Yeah, the beginning of the base was instrumental, but it did have a very short section of vocals which was the original song
I only use Suno songs I made as the base for remakes of my stuff
Yeah, if any vocals are detected in the audio upload it can't be made public -- I think it can still be shared by link, and I believe it can be added to a playlist without issue, but it just can't be searched for by other users.
I've seen false-positives happen with stuff like digeridoo, which can sort of sound like a person groaning
Yeah, but blizzards lament used part of the original but could go public
I think, I’ll have to check
There's false-positives, and songs that don't get flagged that definitely should have -- not a perfect system by any means 😅
Yeah, I have yet another song that got flagged as well, but oh well
@leaden lark I know I'm a dweeb, but it made me happy when you popped your head into chat last night when everyone was introducing themselves (and things got wild for a few minutes) -- I'm familiarizing myself with more and more names from the discord -- you're always very supportive and friendly with your reactions, so yesterday and today I perked up when I saw you contribute to chat 🙂
I hope your shift is going well so far 💪 ☕
I try my best to be as supportive as I can (and even try to meme sometimes)
This is what got flagged https://suno.com/song/d310ac5b-c6ca-48fa-9655-2dbd5708a196 again used a previous gen as the base
Japanese Eurobeat, High-Energy Synths, Fast Tempo, Anime Aesthetics, Catchy Melodies, Electric Guitar Solos, song. Listen and make your own with Suno.
Not saying it to fish for more, but I wanted you to know that sometimes just seeing a supportive reaction from you is just the perk-up that I need in the moment to keep positive. I'm glad you're here 🙂
I appreciate it, really, I’m just glad I’m making a positive impact on someone I don’t even know
Sometimes the flagging just feels like legitimate luck 🤣
Like I made sure the lyrics were safe and everything lmao, I’ve been getting flagging roulette
hey guys, i am pretty new to sumo, so i'm sorry if this has been answered already.
i created a bunch of songs yesterday (they are not public), and today only the 18 most recent ones show up, all the other ones are gone 😭. is this intended?
there's another page
There’s pages to the songs, are you on the website?
yes i am on the website on the create page. yesterday it still showed like 50+ songs, but today they are gone and i dont see more pages
ah im sorry i found it, in the library there are pages
thank you so much for your help hahaha
i was just confused because yesterday it showed all these songs on one page in the create tab
No worries, if you have more questions, just ask us! We’ll help you out
But we are in DESPERATE need of folders to actually organize songs (please suno people please please please give us folders 🙏 )
Just came in here to say, you all have great positive energy!
I love and thank you all for helping me with Suno's technical issues every time I have a question!
Your all very beautiful!
Why thank you! I’m glad I can help even if it’s a small thing :)
Always! Even just the lil things open the door to big ones!
The create tab only shows the recently created songs, and as a helpful tip, if you "thumbs down" a song, it disappears from the "create" page, but still appears in the "library" page -- there aren't many ways to organize our workspaces yet (but I have reason to stay hopeful!), but this is one of the few ways we can try to stay organized.
I actually did not know this! Tyvm!
Like @safe hazel says, we desperately need a proper "workspace" implementation, but until then I find it helpful to use playlists as simple means to group collections of songs, or by adding a random keyword or the day's date in the song title for later searching purposes
I've also asked for a search function to show "hidden" songs or not public ones.
I don't know much about coding, but it seems like folders should be a relatively simple thing, no?
It honestly depends.
Creating and managing folders on an online music library involves a bit more complexity, as it typically requires knowledge of web development, server management, and database interaction.
I dunno if they are using SQL or not which could complicate things even more
Or if they have the data storage or not
They might even have to rewrite a whole API to do this
They were able to make the trash bin though
There could also be a lot of security issues that come with it
cant they just do that, but a couple more
Creating a trashbin is actually real easy to create in any language.
I should restate.. creating one in like JavaScript although easy, it's a lot of code
I don't think it'd be necessary difficult for them, but I have the feeling that they'd rather do one swift re-implementation than slowly introduce a bunch of moderate changes over time
...he said with literally no internal insight into operations
Yeah, i just feels like a conscious decision to have not implemented anything yet. Whether that means it's coming in one fell swoop or they just dont want it, I dont know
Doing a bunch of different things to 1 code could make things real buggy vs rewriting with everything implemented
And I don't know what language they use
Speaking from prior experience, it might be that a lot of things are completed in their current stages, but are bottlenecked waiting for SOMETHING to progress to whatever their next stage is.
True, like maybe they have stuff done but maybe are linked to the ai model?
They could be creating a lot as we speak.
But some things can take months to complete
True, even though, ai models are progressing extremely fast
One thing I can say for certain: My Library is a complete and utter mess
So very true. And while humans are slow, AI can only do so much, and still require human interaction
Everyone's pretty much are ATM.
I do know one thing.
When they do get better organized capabilities, I'ma be stuck for hours upon hours making things organized
All speculative from our vantage points, but it could be something as innocuous as they only have X many workhours to complete XX amount of work, so lower priority stuff can wait for more important stuff -- it could be bureaucratic in the sense that they need to wait for people to sign off on changes, but they can't agree on something -- etc
Most likely there's changes along the way, but they just don't want to rush anything out the door because they're "one of the big kids" in the AI game now.
True, it all comes down to how can the developers work on the project and what do the executives want them to do
In the words of Gabe Newell, founder of Steam gaming platform,
""Late" is just for a little while, but "Sucks" is forever.
if AI were really smart it could organize itself 😒
True! But then we must be watchful
Every time I look at this, it keeps going up, could be from all my plays lol
It trended a while ago, but VERY briefly
Every time I play my song, the play counter increases 😛
If you want to hear it https://suno.com/playlist/a8df0552-083c-4139-9d76-25d344a46ade
When I edit a song title/image then share the link in discord it looks right, but when I hit play the embed changes to the old image/title. Anyone know how to fix that?
Thank you!
I think with time.
You need to click "regenerate video" on the song in Suno 🙂
Ah
The other issue may be that Discord cached the old link. In which case, you just need to add another forward slash (/) at the end of the URL and that would fix it (normally an issue when people posted the link too early before generation was done)
That’s my problem, I post before the video is done before I regen
hmm none of that seemed to fix it for me
Suno might be slow in doing what you are asking. I am unsure. But think that might be the issue.
Try again at a later time?
fair enough, thanks for the help
I could be wrong!
True, changes can be seen on your end, but needs to go through the server back end
Especially if they are using SQL
That’s why image changes can take a bit to update
Facts
Plus also make sure to regen the video so it uses the new image
sorry, transcription need.
If you can’t say something nice, don’t say nothing at all
sorry, i did not have time for courtesy...
@leaden lark I'm sorry to bother you, When I asked if anyone had released a song, you put the okey emoji.
can you help me
does this really work? had no luck with that.
You are fine. 😉
Yeah, you regen the video in a little you should see the image when the song plays
Is there anything stating that the copyright belongs to me?
Just need to wait a few minutes for the regeneration to finish 👍
What issue are you having? Note that the best method to receive support would be to contact the support staff of the distribution company rather than asking us
I know that I wrote a few songs while I had a paid membership and I own the copyrights.
Ownership, not copyright *
maybe I'm doin something wrong, stopping it somehow. It doesn't work for me.
I have no copyrights, but I have my stuff in YouTube content id so that’s something at least
So can I publish songs on music platforms while I have a paid membership?
If your curious about getting $ from your songs, as long as you are a pro user or above you can.
I would say wait 5-10 minutes just in case (and refresh the page if you haven't done so) before trying to download the new video.
If the regeneration still did not occur (and you have a subscription), it would be best to contact support@suno.com and #🪲┃bugs-web
@sweet wigeon,
@leaden lark wasn't saying that directly to you, she was replying with the transcription of the video -- it was from the classic Disney movie "Bambi" -- the rabbit Thumper says "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" -- my mother used to remind me of this when I was being rude.
I don't believe you are a rude person, but I wanted to add levity to the situation ❤️
Yes, whatever you make under a paid membership you can use and keep as yours
I did this when I had a paid membership.
Ah ok, but should it work for linked viedeos too?
Exactly.
For songs you created during the subscription, but do note that some distribution servers refuses to take AI songs. TuneCore is predominantly one of them.
Be sure to read through the company TOS, especially about royalty. Some are very suspicious, like TuneCore, which Top Music Attorney on YouTube covered
i understood
I actually use SoundCloud as my distributor and it’s been fine, granted I’m on a sub for SoundCloud for artists
Honestly I have no idea. If it got cached by Discord, you can always add another forward slash at the end of the URL so Discord treats it as a new link
Suno doesn't grant copyright, that is a matter handled differently from country-to-country -- Suno "releases their ownership" of songs that you create.
If anyone asks to see legal proof that you "own" the song, you can show them the receipt that proves you had an active membership at the time the song was created, and show them the timestamps included on the Suno songs that were used to make the song ❤️ 💪
Can you get $ from SoundCloud?
Yeah
I have stuff on apple, Amazon, Spotify, etc and I can monetize tracks on SoundCloud as well
That is surprising to me. IIRC, SoundCloud had hated AI music in the past (but money talks, especially when you are subscribed to them lol)
What are the conditions to earn money?
Suno-wise, you need to have created the songs on a paid account.
Otherwise, you need to consult that specific distribution service.
Well, you have to be on a specific sub plan to get access to their distribution service first
For example, on Spotify, you need at least 1000 unique plays over a year: https://support.spotify.com/us/artists/article/track-monetization-eligibility/
God, don't even worry about ever making money off youtube unless that's your fulltime job -- like MrBeast level commitment.
Dang if I had that much money, I'd still get broke pretty quick.. I'm to giving
Just skip distribution altogether, put your songs on bandcamp.com and charge $1 for the album
Which distributor did you use?
SoundCloud, and this is their stance
It says if I own the rights/license to the music, I can upload and monetize it
When you upload it to Soundcloud, it also goes to other platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music, right? I don't know much about soundcloud.
I'm with ya. No idea
SoundCloud is just 1 platform, I need to send a release using SoundCloud’s way to getting stuff sent for approval before release
Oh ya, they need your permission to distribute
Makes sense
And they do a check before they set up for release
Understandable
So even for stuff like this, I forgot to set the song language to English and left it as instrumental
I've even created some Spanish songs. Using chatgpt to change it from English. But I hardly know anyone Spanish to hear and listen to see if it works
Here is a list of distributors that can distribute to Spotify: https://artists.spotify.com/providers
You should do your own research into which appears best for you. People most commonly use DistroKid here but others include LANDR, Ditto, and SoundCloud 🙂
I did some write up here #📚┃suno-school message (and both harber and I had a discussion about some of DistroKid's services a few post after that).
One thing I will stress is to check out the services TOS, especially in regards to Royalty.
Suspicious companies (like TuneCore) will say something along the lines of the company keeping the royalty if your account gets terminated (which they can usually do for any reason, even from a user report with no investigation)
If you haven't looked into TOS before and it seems overwhelming, I highly recommend looking at the TOS coverage videos from Top Music Attorney, she helps point out the important ones.
do you recommend distrokid
Afk!
🙂
I haven’t used distrokid so I’m unsure how good it is
Also, if your Suno sub expires or you cancel it, any song you make under the sub will stay yours even if the sub expires
I use Soundrop, 99 cents per track, no subscription payments
i know it
did you use
My stuff is free, but I sub to SoundCloud for the unlimited uploads and then I can easily send albums
Or other tracks
I am a BandLab subscriber as of today, Soundcloud disallow AI music
Nope, they do #📚┃suno-school message
You just need the license/rights to the music to upload it
Sure, but my work break is over soon
they allow Soundful because they have a deal with Soundful, other AI music is disallowed in the fine print of the ToS. If you don't believe me ask them via Support
I live in Türkiye. Are soundcloud's policies the same for everyone?
While there might be someone who can answer, it's really best to do your own research in regards to Terms of Service for any platform you intend to use.
you are right
I don't mean to say we won't help, but if you suddenly are caught in legal trouble, the courts won't care which Discord user told you everything was okay 😛 🙏
Thank you to everyone who is interested 🤜 🤛
It seems like if you use SoundCloud, you agree to abide by Germany's laws in regards to your SoundCloud use.
after joining BandLab I have no idea why anyone would use Soundcloud anymore
maybe there is a compelling reason but I don't see it
Now do you see why I'm joking-angry about it?
oh yes
It's TOO good, like "we get it, guys."
I like that it's the owner of AirBit, which I use extensively
I fell in love with them, then they added 5-stem splitting. I loved them more.
Then they added 6-stem splitting. Then voice/instrument-to-midi. Now I'm angry that I like them so much.
what's your BandLab profile? I'll follow you
😛 Discord is pretty much the extent of my social media use
I accidentally shared some songs while working on them once, and only realized they were public when people liked them -- I quickly shut down that 🤣
Despite my best efforts to keep off the grid, 8 people have managed to follow me on Suno, and I legit have no idea why they did so 😂
funny that's been my experience as well, I try to keep to myself usually.
I don't publish anything Suno to Suno because I don't want people extending or publishing my songs
That’s fair
oh im the same as you! and i think thats one of the awesome things about suno. i love listening to what other ppl are able to do with it but i personally use it just to push the limits of sounds i'd never imagine, and to find inspiration and starting points for my own productions and music! i think suno is awesome for that bcos it looks so simple on the surface level yet its fascinating how many ppl can use it for so many things! 😊✨
Yup -- I've been saying since day one that's the main thing keeping me off the social-media side of Suno.
This could be solved cleanly in the UI by making the 2-step "public" toggle into a 3-step toggle, "private > public > collaborative" -- this way people aren't able to extend or see/reuse prompts unless the author wants to allow that to happen. I've been told that's at least on their radar, but it doesn't mean that it'll actually be implemented, but at least they've talked about it.
there are so many things ive made with suno that i want to just share but i tell myself thats not why im using it and if i like the song that much then i'll make it myself 😮💨
I like how there's no "wrong" way to use it, as long as you have good intentions.
this would be half my issue solved personally but my main worry is the ppl that come along and rip songs from suno and reupload them as their own (even if they credit the creator from suno) 🙁
The only wrong way I can think of is trying to use negative prompts despite being told such a thing is not considered (I wonder what Suno associates negative with though, depressive music?)
Well, that and trying to use copyrighted material but that falls under your last statement
yeah I think the current system is a problem
And that’s why I personally use Suno, sure I’ve messed around in FL before, but Suno allows me to create the songs I wish I could do
I'd love to have a "Subscribers Only" sharing option, too.
Where the heck have you been? 🍻
oh look it rolled over
Not sure. It's all a blur...
100% - its super cool that ppl can just dream up songs and then hit up the band in their pocket to perform it for them 😅 its why i love hearing what other ppl make with it!
that reminds me i need to follow you on spotify since i saw you posting it a little while ago
Can I dm something that I made myself in FL, it’s a few years old and I got a bit better since then, but I have not finished a song in ages
that would be awesome; go for it!! i think my dms should be open but lmk if you have any trouble :)
extra credits would have but not the montly ones
no, I rolled over from monthly to Annual, that was the point of my post
I had 7000 credits left before it rolled over, as I lost some time due to the UI changes
has the extend always had a limiti of 2 mins?
Is Suno down for anyone else?
Yes but you can continue to extend it
If your using 3.5
ahh makes sense
I think 3.0 is 1 minute, but am unsure
thanks
ill have to play around with it
I wasted 2000 credits just messing around with it
lol sound like the suno way these days haha cool
i did the same with other adventures
to be honest iv learned alot about music just playing around with dirrent things
In June I used 17000 credits, then in July the brakes went on because I couldn't use the website
yes some helpful people got me back on track with my screen reader (I am visually impared, the UI changes stuffed me up)
awesome to hear quite literally . hope your have fun again
totally thats what I was saying, try groovy trap with guitar in v3 vs v3.5 you will see a huge difference
Aye!
anyone want test for themselves a tag iv had some good gens with this tag [note: Vocal Gender: [male] and [note: Vocal Gender: [female] . try it out 10 gens with just male was just male 10 gens with female 9 out 10. see for your im not proving any thing just a suggestion]
What about with them singing together? Like at the same time
Outa all the ones I've made only like 1 worked
For the duet party
Part*
can you share what your tryping in?
There's no super reliable way to prompt duets that specifically. Maybe [BOTH] or [chorus: BOTH] worth a try.
But in general the overall style is what Suno is looking at.
NAME: blah
NAME: blah blah
Will often prompt duets even if you don't change the NAME. So Suno is more 'vibing' off the general feel of the lyrics, the text formatting, the style.
Oh I know, it's more of an exploit than anything
I don't know if i can ask it here but my monetization is enabled on youtube, and i'm planning to upload some tracks from suno i made on there.
But i came across this section to make sure its allowed and since number 1 is not allowed using samples / beats. AI generated songs falls under that catagory i suppose? Its literally all samples basically since its learned from thousands of existing tracks.
Paimon mentioned something about this earlier
Oh that's just spot..
@daring nebula
ah yeah spotify & such is not an issue for me
Spotify, SoundCloud, and also heard bandcamp are good
i'm already a member at tunecore for a while now. its just youtube i'm unsure off
For songs you created during the subscription, but do note that some distribution servers refuses to take AI songs. TuneCore is predominantly one of them.
Be sure to read through the company TOS, especially about royalty. Some are very suspicious, like TuneCore, which Top Music Attorney on YouTube covered
From @hollow hare
I get if you use Cymatics samples in a song that you purchase I can get that, but idk about Suno
Sampling here here is very likely talking about taking Samples from other copyrighted material and directly using them (as in using 1:1 instead of transformative use):
Suno in the response to the RIAA lawsuit (see 2nd link in #💬┃general-chat message) did mention that basically no one argued that taking other copywritten material as an intermediate, so long as the final product is not infringing any copyrights was basically permitted and had several cases involving such situations in the past (it was an interesting read, please see the PDF which explains this more elegantly).
So as long as the generated music is clearly not infringing a currently copyright material (which should get stopped by ContentID check anyways), you should be fine [so long as the song was made while you are a subscribed member]
You could also throw the song on a private video on yt and check
Oh, the upload button!
But just generating music without uploading anything is usually fine?
You can also use Shazaam or other music recognition apps and see if there is a hit
I haven't used Shazam in forever!
Just want to say paimon, love the pfp of lumine
If there is a hit, it will likely happen during the review process of the distribution. A lot for companies are somewhat flexible ATM with AI music (excluding the ones that really hates AI) so long as you can prove such material was actually generated by the AI and not placed in manually by you (I.e. no intentional copyright violation was done by you).
But, again, it depends heavily on the distributors and how similar your piece may sound like to something existing
True, for some stuff, I get the song, and then throw it into FL Studio to fix it further and doing so helps make it less ai and more of my own since I’m adding to it
tunecore is one that is against it?
I got the clip from this HoyoFair YouTube video
I also love the sequel video too. Klee + grenade launcher? What can gl wrong?
Was that Dillon goo? I forget who made it
Very well known, yep. They often send a letter saying that the song had a sample hit (but do not clarify what source material even when contacted directly) and asking for licenses for said materials
yikes, i should use a different platform then
Yeah, TuneCore TOS about royalty is suspicious as well (well covered by Top Music Attorney on Youtube).
Basically, TC TOS says they can retain your royalty if your account ever gets terminated and they can terminate your account for something as simple as a user making a complaint against your account with no proof (not that they will do so but it is written that they can do it if needed)
I also read with my SoundCloud sub, that whatever I release using my sub, even if I unsubscribe, I can keep the music up
Most other distributor TOS about royalty states they will still give you the royalty you accured. Read the TOS, it will affect you one day
Also be sure to save the TOS when you signed up as a PDF and email it to yourself. Those are the terms you agreed to.
(Even though most TOS states you must agree to the latest version, the attorney may be able to wrangle it to the original TOS when you signed up for the service)
That's very nice. I know you have to pay for an additional service option to leave your legacy with DistroKid (which is muuuuch cheaper if done for an album than individual tracks)
Like $49/album (= 2+ tracks) vs $29/single according to https://support.distrokid.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013534274-What-Are-Album-Extras
Hi. I don't really know if this is the place to ask this, but i will give it a go.
I am trying to understand how the copyright thing works with Suno. I am interested in publishing my "Syno songs" on SoundCloud, but i am unsure if that brakes any TOS/Copyright "laws".
I live in Sweden and my English is not the best so reading through the TOS/Docs is not the easiest xD
I don't know about copyright, but the "owners" of the song are Suno and any paid authors of extensions used in the song.
Copyright in regards to AI-generated music varies from country to country, but if the songs were made on a paid plan, then Suno relinquishes their ownership of the song, so it would just be the users who made the parts.
I'm confused whether SoundCloud accepts AI-generated music or not, but the best way to be sure is to ask SoundCloud support directly if you can't make heads or tails of their Terms of Service https://soundcloud.com/terms-of-use
Alright, that was pretty much the information i was seeking, thank you! 😄
@unique stone @hollow hare, do you feel like that fairly represents the complexities of "paid vs free plans", "copyright vs ownership", and IP rights when extending from someone else's track?
According to how the TOS was worded when I read it last time, that seems like the gist, but there may be additional situations that may have been missed, accidentally misstated or overlooked.
To cover the legal bases, I would encourage the person to contact support@suno.com directly with their questions posed as such official communications can be used in court if it ever got to that point, especially in regards to the IP rights, rather than sticking to assumptions.
That's a great addition to it -- I figure I could save this for reposting like the bandlab links and whatnot
I was hoping you'd help tear apart the things that didn't work so we could make it the most helpful it could be, in as few words as possible 🙏 🔬
In my personal opinion, extending from someone else's piece should be like doing a collaboration where you need all parties (written) consent for publication or other rights, but the way that Suno TOS was written... well, I would not be surprised if that portion of the TOS will be forced to be updated for clarity in the future
tbf, just because Suno relinquishes ownership doesn't mean it's a black-and-white case of "you own this song", and I think it's better to err on the side of cautious when giving any advice that's legally-adjacent
For the situation regarding extension of a song made during the free plan with the extension made during the subscription period, the FAQ clearly states that there is no retroactive ownership so I would treat them separately, so it is very likely they did not intend extension to be used as it is currently stated which can be loophole'd
The Suno statements on ownership are probably not really all the legally sound. I mean, AI is very new and we just haven't even passed laws regarding it yet.
I also think they're intentionally vague as to only describe their involvement, and last I checked encouraged you to investigate the ever-changing landscape of AI-law (though it's been a while since I've looked it up)
Where does it say this about retroactive ownership?
They meant it doesn't grant retroactive ownership -- meaning if you make a song on a free plan, then later subscribe, that song is still technically associated with the free plan -- you don't "gain ownership" of it later.
I know that Suno does audiomark (inaudible watermark) their generated pieces and I honestly would not be surprised if said watermark is only on songs/parts made during the free plan (or a unique identifier separating the free vs paid parts).
If such a differential thing is there, it also helps explain why they specified that part about no retroactive ownership
One minute while I gather the info again
The FAQ says nothing regarding extension of songs from the free plan from what I can see
@hollow hare I'm too scared to comment on this, I'm going to ask chatgpt to refine my earlier comment with your gracious feedback -- you rock 💙
What does that even mean?
Actually scratch that, I don't know how to rewrite that "script" to properly address extending from a free song. 😅
@hollow hare writing a book!
See #📚┃suno-school message for what I had written about in the past about the no retroactive ownership from the FAQ (and the wnippet of the TOS a few posts down).
For the situation about ownership of the new whole song if you had extended it from a free plan part while currently subscribed, I cannot state if that would be half-owned by Suno (due to free plan part) or granted entirely to you based on the wording on the TOS.
I highly recommend you get in touch with support@suno.com in regards to that. As I mentioned before, having their official ststaement will help you in a court case if it ever gets to that point (hope for the best, plan for the worst type of thing)
Download and keep that PDF!
Remember that we are not legal representatives. If you ever had to go to court, would you prefer to say
Well, for sure that portion of the FAQ is saying that just by subscribing once you dont gain ownership of everything you made while free. But it doesn't mention anything about when you use one of those files and extends off it. It's just no stated directly, so it's ambigous.
Exactly which is why you should contact support@suno.com to have the matter clarified and have the official written communication present
The only reason not to ask them if you are certain they would not allow it which means you should not do it then if you are afraid of that outcome
I'm just saying, that there is no offical statement on it. And that ambiguity in this is probably not gonna go well for Suno
Suno has more rights towards the creations than the customers/users do, especially with current ambiguity surrounding AI creations. If this is the situation you are currently in, to protect yourself, you will want to have the matter clarified
I was just wondering if they had changed something somewhere, that specifically addressed this. But, they haven't
IMO, what matters the most would be to have an official communication documented in regards for the matter to be clarified, instead of relying on assumptions.
Perhaps they did not update the TOS because the situation was not considered in the first place. Or maybe they had left it intentionally vague so people would reach out to the team to have the matter directly covered.
Whatever the case, you can proceed however you like given the information provided because it will be you who will face the consequences of the actions you take.
Once again, I highly recommend contacting support@suno.com in regards to that situation as it will give you a direct written communication to use for evidence if it ever would be needed.
I love this so much more -- I think the point of contention the last time it was brought up was that it was stated as if absolutely clearly in no uncertain terms that you can't extend a free song to gain ownership -- I was just trying to highlight that while there's likely audio-watermarks, the ambiguities are legitimate questions.
I 100% support just blanket-refusing the answer the question instead of simply saying "you can't", because that feels too dismissive of the user's legitimate questions and concerns about ownership -- and the sternness on the subject of extending from free songs somehow not being the same as the sternness on extending from someone else's song just always sat as too awkward to phrase in a manner that seemed like I was treating the user as an equal, rather than scolding them.
I genuinely appreciate you taking the helm on that one, and I'll save a red-seat for you ❤️ 🤣
The real answer is: We just don't know.
This part is extremely important to answer correctly. "I cannot state if that would be half-owned by Suno (due to free plan part) or granted entirely to you based on the wording on the TOS."
this is most concerning answer i've actually read just now. How do you not know this information? That part should be Black and White if we are spending money to create these songs, at most we should hold most the rights to those song we created as whole songs. Free plan, like midjourney Ai natually would not make it ours, but more like sampling till you do pay into it. The Payment defines ownership? am i wrong?
Paimon doesn't work for Suno
that explains a lot more
So wall of text warning, hopefully I got the most important bits
Because I am a regular user and not a lawyer. Have YOU read through thr entire TOS? (The guide role is because I helped a lot in the channel, that's pretty much it).
I have not read through everything, briefly skimming, and may not understand the true expanse of a word in the legal sense. (There are a few that has much more meaning than you would have guessed at first glance which I learned from Topic Music Attorney on YouTube).
I actually cannot wait until TMA does a Suno TOS coverage, it sounds like she will make one on one of the live streams I watched
As part of the free user plan, according to the TOS, you gave Suno permission and both the right and license to anything you used that you own (e.g. lyrics, uploaded artworks, etc.). This is actually pretty common in these services TOS because the services cannot use your input otherwise
Excerpts from the TOS (asterisks for emphasis):
You cannot use the Output for any commercial purposes unless authorized otherwise (which is granted for subscription members later in the TOS)
Commercial Use: Subject to the Content Section below, unless otherwise expressly authorized herein or in the Service, you agree not to display, distribute, license, perform, publish, reproduce, duplicate, copy, create derivative works from, modify, sell, resell, grant access to, transfer, or otherwise use or exploit any portion of the Service, ****and any Output, for any commercial purposes.****
Subscribers gets the rights, titles, etglc. For submissions they made during the period for items they generated
Subject to your compliance with these Terms of Service , if you are a user who has subscribed to the paid tier of the Service, Suno hereby assigns to you all of its right, title and interest in and to any Output owned by Suno and generated from Submissions made by you through the Service during the term of your paid-tier subscription. However, due to the nature of machine learning, Suno makes no representation or warranty to you that any copyright will vest in any Output.
Below it, it states that Suno owns the rights, etc. to the Output if you are a free plan member:
If you are a user of the free tier of the Service then, you covenant and agree that you will only use Outputs generated from Submissions made by you through the Service solely for your lawful, internal, personal and non-commercial purposes, provided that you give attribution credit to Suno in each case.
Declaration if you publish the unlisted link, you give others the rights to use the Output (there is something similar elsewhere in the TOS if you set the song to Public)
For the avoidance of doubt, Output may be publicly available in a third party application such as Discord, where it may be viewable, downloadable, and modified by other users of that third party application. If the Output becomes publicly available in such third-party application, you agree that other users have a right to access, display, view, store, modify, and copy such Output; provided, however, that you may change your settings to bypass these public sharing default settings so that Output generated will remain private.
This portion is about granting Suno the rights to use your stuff. There is a LOT more to this block so Search for it in the TOS:
Declaration that the Input may not be exclusively yours and likewise with the Output (esp. Since AI may replicate it based on its nature as stated in the TOS several times)
An input that is submitted by other users is not your Submission, and an output that is requested by and generated for other users is not your Output.
And I think that is enough for now X.x Cannot wait for Top Music Attorney's coverage on it
whooo you went through most of it
Oh wait, I cannot find the clear part of the ownership of the free song (other than the part of granting you that limited non-commercial right as read earlier).
I swear I had seen something about it before but I do not want to go reading through it again X.x
basically what i am reading here is that... we really dont at all own anything
Well, Technically you do own the lyrics and the artwork you upload (can't recall about the artwork generated, that entry was on the FAQ). You simply gave Suno non-exclusive rights to use them (which they need to use your input/content legally)
You just do not own the Output made but you get the rights, titles, etc. if you have a paid subscription
You own your intellectual property, you dont own the file that Suno generates
right. it makes it suno and the only place to really keep it.
As should always be, the TOS defines terms used in the agreement such as what constitutes as part of the Submission or Output (= Content when combined, note the case usage)
Service Description: The Service is designed to process input data, information, and content that you provide in the form of code, video, images, information, data, text, software, music, sound and other audio, photographs, graphics, messages, and other materials and mediums (collectively referred to as the "Submissions") and generate and return audio and visual output based on those Submissions ("Output", and together with the Submissions, "Content"). The Service may include a public forum where Content can be shared in a productive environment with other users.
oooh, i understand more now on output
One of the things I learned from Top Music Attorney's TOS coverage of various distributors and Udio. Something I recommend listening to when you have the chance.
Link to TMA: https://youtube.com/@topmusicattorney
Just don't mind the clickbait pictures >.> Look for the ones with papers in her hand that says TOS.
I listed the inportant ones (Distributors and Udio) at #🗣️┃chill-chat message if you want a quick jump
well this is irritating. got the full song from a 3 part kinda thing, and for whatever reason it decides to repeat the chorus in the first part 4 times in a row
oh god, wait, i just realized that it does repeat that many times in the first bit. worked so long on the 2nd part to fix some things that i forgot about it and how i accidentally extended from past that bit XD
I see.
Then is there a chance that devs can extend the upload length limit, I don't know, to 240 seconds?
I'm trying to upload this instrumental, to extend from there and to see if it can remix it considering all its composition.
Here:
okay, now im getting irritated. starting over and extending from the first part to fix everything, and now the extensions are ending exactly as the last word is said so i cant extend it without it sounding like crap. lovely
Suno support gmail ?
Closest I can find is their billing email shown on here:
https://suno-ai.notion.site/FAQs-b72601b96de44e5cacd2cd6baa985448
Hello! Please email billing@suno.com if you are unable to find the answer to your question on this page.
okay. so suno failed in a way that was so spectacular that it actually created an, in my opinion, really neat sounding change in the song part way through. i wont lie, sometimes i love the random things that can happen XD
makes me wonder what prompts suno to do such a thing, though, and if its possible to manually trigger such a change
They have 2 gmail
Well that's the only email I've found, and it did say to email it if you can't find out your answer on the FAQ, which is kinda strange IMO. Sorry, can't help ya any further. :/
U got it bro
well. this is interesting. got the full song for what im working on, and suno decides to randomly add in an entire verse that's not present anywhere 😂
Yes, Suno has two emails for the general public:
If you do not know which to contact, you will likely want support@suno.com
I would not expect a response for a few business days (typically M–F 09:00–17:00 EDT [UTC-04:00])
In case you have not seen this post: https://discord.com/channels/1069381916492562582/1261146873331318835
Hopefully it will help you
Yeah, it just might. Thaks!
I'd welcome if there would be one more channel for where could clarify there emotional states and relations, not to bring this to technical thread because the discussion then start to e bov erhelming
I recognize that you didn’t find this comment suitable for the conversation, but it was a single reply to a separate user.
It doesn’t seem to have directed the flow of conversation, and would have been forgotten in chat had you not brought it up again.
Since I am just another user like yourself, perhaps you could make a post in #1252257127326548028 to request that an “emotional state and relations” channel.
you're up early!
Are you UTC +10?
I am
We're almost a full 12 hours apart 😂 6:50 in Moncton -- still early, but not as ungodly as if I lived in EST
That hour of sleep makes a world of difference
unlike me, it's almost 6am here
Oooh, you're EST? Always neat finding out what timezones people are from -- it doesn't take long before you realize just how global the community really is
yep im EST
now that i think about it, if i have songs in a playlist that aren't public, can people still listen to them?
I always find it so funny when I explain that I'm a single hour ahead of EST, because that's as far as US timezones go (technically Maine would be AST, and they've argued about implementing it, but its easier for everyone if they stay EST)
When I explain that my timezone is Atlantic, they assume that I'm living in the ocean or something beyond the eastern seaboard
very interesting! I didn't know the US had another timezone ahead of EST
🇨🇦⚓💙
Absolutely! It just means that they aren't "searchable" on the social media side of suno.com 🙂
got it, only 4 more songs left and 520 credits to make them
I am just blown away that you live in one of the few places I have been in Canada
oh dear -- I have faith in you :\
Let me know if there's anything I can experiment with to give you an intro or some ideas to make the most of your remaining credits 💪
can i dm a couple songs that i still need to remake?
sure 🙂 especially when you ask politely 🤘
sent the dm
what to type at the end of a song so it actually stops
i usually do [END] to do it, but also switching to v3 also helps end a song
also v2
Sorry for the delay -- I was helping another user try to get a 7/8 song 🙂
no worries, there's no rush
Over in the pool party > #1256301881966198805, look up "terminator extensions" -- when you try this, only use "end" as the style prompt, with no other lyrics, tags, styles, anything
But like @leaden lark said, unless you're extending from an audio upload & are forced to use v3.5, v3 is WAY more willing to end songs.
that's what i've been trying to do if v3.5 doesn't want to end
When v3 doesn't want to end, I just do a Studio Fadeout in an external DAW and convince myself the song sounds better like that anyway.
🤣
lol, i take the stuff into FL if the song ends and suno decides i dont want to end
Hello, I have noticed that more than 4000 points have disappeared from my account. How is this possible? The account name is AweStruckWebApps993. I am looking forward to your prompt response. Thank you.
Hi @leaden terrace,
There isn't an "official support" presence here on Discord, so the most direct method is to contact billing@suno.com.
That being said, while there isn't a lot of clarifying information, we can try to assist with community-education if you'd like -- are you currently subscribed to a paid-membership?
This is being discussed in #💬┃general-chat
Okay cool, thanks man 🍻
I was telling someoen about suno and I got challenged...
can suno do cute sounds like botanica. its almost like a music box meets acapella

6 mr lanterns mixtape part1 [11:14]
7 i was born as frankenstein [13:18]
8 level 3 [15:03]...
its a 100% unique sound
i've tried music box and a few others but I get retro game and steamboat songs
I would genuinely be surprised if there's something Suno couldn't make, given the right amount of time and effort -- as a general rule of thumb, the more specific of a song you have envisioned, the more time/credits it'll take to coax it out, opposed to just being satisfied with "whatever nice sounding songs" result.
its more flags aren't clear. things like acapella and humming seems to be out of the current scope for this level
would love to see something like this, I grew up with botanicula as a kid
maybe you might have some ideas on style flags?
Hi @vast rose, we appreciate you hanging out, though tech-chat isn't intended as a channel to advertise your channel or songs.
Perhaps you could share this post in #💬┃general-chat or #🐣┃suno-showcase?
Wait uhm i did not even type here uhm wth
Must have been when I was new here😮
Oh, looks like there was similar posts #1154863909375852606 message and #1160714716046438532 message around the same time--either way 🙂 ❤️
I migth have typed it in the wrong server then without seeing the name my bad🙃
🇫🇷 Woh woh woh!!! After about 200 tests, I finally managed to get police siren effects in a title, but, ultimate betrayal, everything stops at 03:15, and until 04:04, it's total emptiness!!! It annoys me^^😂 🔥
is there any way to make the singer belt a specific word? like instead of just
Woodhouse doesn't let me put it in all caps, but that is how I would do it.
so like all caps done or all caps dooooooonnnneee
You could write it just like that "dooooooonnnneee"
it will cause it to stretch out the word, maybe not say it louder, but it will be longer
It's the one let me
I texted the main support team but they have an email back yet
They work Monday - Friday, <t:1722772800:t> - <t:1722801600:t>, usually it doesn't take too many work days before they get back to you.
is it better to download in wav or mp3, or does it matter?
Wav is higher quality and the file is bigger, mp3 is easier to share
99% of people can't tell the difference, and unless you're intending to upload the song to a distributor, or are editing it externally, it shouldn't make a huge difference 💪
I was making some audio for my gf to use as background music for some of her tiktok videos, I assume in this case that mp3 would be fine?
ill prob download the wav for archival purposes
It's quite tricky, the wav takes up certain subtleties for audiophiles that the MP3, despite the best rendering since its beginnings, cannot reconstitute, being an ultra compressed format, however for an almost maximum amplitude of the sound and all the subtleties, nothing better than the Flac, but we are on 1000% more imposing in size for the Wav format... 😎
I almost guarantee that no one would notice -- it more a case that if you let people listen to both of them, a small number of people who were SPECIFICALLY listening for "tells" could probably tell you which was higher quality, but people wouldn't listen to the mp3 and think its bad quality
I know it's a rambley answer, but technically YES the .wav will be better, but it's such diminishing returns to the average listener that it's more or less the same track that takes longer to send people.
But 100% like you said, for archival purposes I usually go with .wav because I figure most sites mess with audio quality anyway, so I'm willing to use that extra bit of space/time to make it sound as best as it can for people with amazing headphones / stereos, etc
yeah it does tend to go off the script with pronunication when you tryto stretch out a word, you could try something like "duuuun" to try to force the correct pronunciation, but it will ultimately do what it wants
While I haven't experimented too much with that technique, I find that I get the best results with spacing and natural language processing -- capitalizing, adding dramatic punctuation or putting the highlighted word on a separate line
the curse
is DONE!!!
Thank you for this! I have been battling this for days.
You're welcome!
It's a weird bug, but at least there's a workaround 🙂 https://discord.com/channels/1069381916492562582/1259902708765167709 The known-bug forum isn't well known, and it seems like there's only 1 other person who's upvoted this issue -- if you wanted to toss a thumbs up on the post I linked to, it'll let the devs know that this is still something people are running into 💪 💙
ah yeah there it is. I just joined this discord to ask about this, but search for the error text first. Better error messages on the front-end would probably help 😌
is there a trick to get the generator to alternate male and female voices for the verses and duet the chorus? It happend organically once, but I can't seem to force it no matter how I phrase it in the "style" section.
https://www.suno.wiki/faq/style-and-lyrics/duets/
Notoriously difficult to prompt reliably at the moment. Some of the most talented Sunovators that I know will show me a duet they managed to make, and when I ask them how they did it, they all say the same thing.
🤷♂️
In case it may help you, I just made a playlist where I encountered duets in my generations:
https://suno.com/playlist/11ff3827-bdcf-4ef5-bd04-da8647c6cdb6
I think the most important aspect I found (playing around with the Big Mac Dreamin' series) is that you do NOT want to define vocals in the style prompts as I found that caused the potential duets to be lost (or it was a coincidence 🤷♂️ )
And pretty sure genre also plays a huge role. I guess I should play with the BMD series for other genres too, hmm
...or at least start with female vocals. My accidental duets all called for female vocals. The one intentional duet I did didn't specify the vocals in the style field.
Speak of the Sunovators and they'll appear 😂
hah. More of a Suno Hack. I just fling goofy stuff at Suno until I get something that I like
[Bass & Drums - Kevin and Dave Start Laughing]
I wonder what happens if you use other names with laughing too, like Cheech and Chong, will the laugh style change? 🤔
So, from my test with my accidental Duet series Big Mac Series, changing the genres did not affect the duets that occurred.
Adding vocal style prompts (BMD.5Z set test: low pitch female vocals, clear vocaloid male vocals) caused one song to become all female with the style having a hint of vocaloid in it (likely because vocaloid has a higher weight than male and more associated with style? Hnm)
The other track generated with it had both vocals... I think? Was kinda hard to tell tbh
Edit: huh, one of my test (changing genre to Bluegrass) had one song all female while the alternative generated had duet, hmm interesting
Is there a way to regenerate your song and make the vocals louder/sharper?
You can Reuse the prompts but it will change the style. You could try Extending early on in hopes it keeps the style but it may not.
I like using the prompt "Clear [male/female] Vocals", it usually gives me great clear vocals
Personally, I'd run the song through https://www.bandlab.com/splitter, where you can directly import the stems into their web DAW -- if you want, you could take the vocal stem over to https://www.bandlab.com/mastering to use one of the 4 free AI mastering tools to "crisp" and punch up the vocals -- then adjust their audio levels in the DAW
Out of curiosity has anyone been able to figure out how to pan audio with Suno? I've been working on trying to get vocals or even the instrumentals to pan from left to right channels, but haven't had any luck. Its done it on its own when generating from the Need Ideas? section when making a new generation but I want to try to get it to be something I can possibly use on the custom tab.
While I've gotten the occasional panned audio, I haven't been able to replicate any similar effects through prompting.
Not quite 100% related, but we did a prompt experiment the other day to see if similar "spatial audio" prompting works, but we weren't able to recognize a single track that was discernably different. #1256301881966198805 message
Gotcha. Thought it would be interesting if I could figure it out for some Halloween tracks too if I could get it to work. lol I'll look over the playlist and try to see if I can play with some stuff still.
tbf, audio panning is REALLY easy to do in an external DAW if you don't care about the song staying only on Suno.com
Yeah I considered taking some songs into an external DAW, but haven't messed around with Audacity so not sure if its good enough to do something like that yet.
I've started adding other sound effects to some of my songs before I upload them to my channel on YouTube but haven't messed with panning/spatial audio yet.
This quick tutorial shows how to make a car sound like it's going from right to left. Thanks Joseph Mullen for the idea.

Sweet! Thank you for that! I'll be looking into messing with it this afternoon so long as my pc doesn't kill over. lol Been dealing with it not starting unless unplugged for a couple days and its been restarting a couple times since I got up and started messing with Suno. So far knock on wood it hasn't done it again for the last hour but not gonna hold my breath.
anyone know if there is a way to chat with billing / support?
My account is messed up - bought annual subscription through ios but when my new month started, something got messed up and it looks like i'm on a free plan.
I go into the app and it clearly shows I'm subscribed to the annual pro (2500 credits) plan. I contacted billing but ... no response.
I'm wondering what the recourse is?
For what it's worth, I strongly advise people to not purchase throught the iOS app. It's been several problems now. Easier to buy through the site. Probably better for Suno too since Apple takes a big bite.
I would love to cancel my apple subscription and repurchase through the website. I would even be willing to write off the other subscription and get a new subscription but my account is tied to my apple id and there is no way to do that.
Thoughts or suggestions are welcome.
Only thing I've used before when trying to contact for billing was this: support@suno.ai through an email from my email I used for my account. They were pretty quick to respond back then but with the site picking up speed they might be slower to respond now. I wish they had a phone number but I never could find anything like that aside from the email they want people to contact them with.
yeah ... thanks for that. I wish there was a chat on the website or smth.
I can be very patient but it's been two days and it seems like forever lol.
You could always try to put urgent in the email title but doubt it'd get it done any faster. A chat function would be nicer cause then you'd know for sure the issue was in progress of being fixed rather than waiting with no response.
@amber vigil there isn’t a formal support presence on Discord yet — the email support is Monday - Friday, <t:1722772800:t> - <t:1722801600:t>, afaik.
Admittedly, I’d imagine this is something that the devs will need to address before support advisors will be able to provide much assistance, as you didn’t do anything wrong for them to correct, you subscribed on an advertised platform.
If you’ve been waiting for a bit, can’t hurt to email billing@suno.com because they handle account related stuff — maybe giving a brief but organized description of the situation and all of the updates thus far?
Also, on the Apple side of things, if you click on your name at the top of Settings, then click on “Subscriptions”, you should see Suno in the active section.
You can cancel your paid account through there and try to resubscribe to the paid membership on the website in the meanwhile?
That’s why if you have a paid membership and the app doesn’t recognize it you can click “restore”, you don’t handle the account stuff from the app because it’s protected by iCloud

Thanks friend.
I actually emailed billing@suno.com because it seems like a billing issue. I haven't tried support.
I will try those things on the apple side - thanks for the suggestion. I'm slightly concerned it will screw things up but ... i don't think it could possible be screwed up more than "I'm not getting my monthly credits I already paid for", right?
fingers crossed here - thanks for the sugestion.
You know how frustrated I am on your behalf — if I thought there was a shirt sleeve I could tug on without annoying the wearer, I’d have done such long ago. 🫂
Legit, I think the WORST case is if Apple somehow “claims” an attribute of your payment information with Suno that would give you the inverse- error message you’ve been receiving “sorry, this account can ONLY be managed from Apple now :P”, but that’s unlikely, and the most likely case would be the account just going back to a “free” status, allowing you to swap payment details like you normally would.
Either way, I’ll be happy when I know you’re able to make music in time for SSC5 💪

...you've inspired me to do something.
@hollow hare @unique stone @naive quail sorry for the mass ping, I just thought this was a really interesting generation and wanted to make sure that you'd caught it just in case the chat flew by at some point.

Chirp is retired, and no longer on discord. You can make music now on our website: https://suno.com
That's pretty interesting. It seemed to skip the "koo ko ko ko" part but it does appear to have taken the "loop" into consideration. Wonder if it's the loop-pedal in the style, or the individual loop instructions in the lyrics that cause this.
It certainly isn't easily duplicated, I'm still messing with it to see what works best
sounds awesome, regardless
@brittle apex here's another Udu for ya https://suno.com/song/581e9a03-740c-47a3-b7c5-cf74348038cf

This one sort of did it without the prompt in the lyrics. I'm going to throw a bunch of ideas I've tried in a playlist: https://suno.com/song/9c54aa7b-1a0b-49c9-aa80-8ceb98f293a0
A capella, female vocals, loop station, layering loops, electronic ditto song. Listen and make your own with Suno.
Dude, that sounds sweet
I thing I have found is that it will often layer 2 melodies, but won't really do a third
